OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the effects of ticagrelor on myocardial microcirculation, cardiac function, and adverse cardiovascular events in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 80 STEMI patients admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to March 2023 were selected and included in the retrospective study, all receiving PCI treatment. They were randomly and retrospectively divided into a control group (40 cases) and an observation group (40 cases), and treated with clopidogrel and ticagrelor, respectively. The clinical effects were compared. RESULTS: The starting perfusion time of the contrast agent in the myocardial infarction area in the observation group was 2.22±0.27 s, and the peak perfusion time was 2.62±0.27 s, which was lower than those in the control group (2.51±0.29 s and 3.21±0.39 s, t=4.629, 7.867, p=0.000). The ratio of peak perfusion intensity between the two groups was significantly different (t=2.363, p=0.021). Left ventricular ejection fraction, stroke volume index, and cardiac index in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (55.03±6.03 vs. 52.33±5.13; 57.39±6.81 vs. 51.11±6.31 L/min·m-2; 3.49±0.45 vs. 3.12±0.38 mL/m2, t=2.157, 4.278, 3.973, p<0.05). The observation group had lower levels of brain natriuretic peptide and C-reactive protein compared to the control group (425.35±55.71 vs. 589.36±70.24 pg/mL; 15.13±1.03 vs. 21.64±2.74 mg/L; t=11.570, 14.066, p=0.000). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events between the two groups (2.50% vs. 7.50%, 2=1.920, p=0.166). OBJECTIVE: The COVID-19 pandemic led to prolonged isolation and disrupted people's social relationships, contributing to increased loneliness among students. Loneliness is associated with various psychological disorders, including depression, which may result in severe consequences such as self-harm and suicide. This study aims to investigate the factors through which loneliness influences depression. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The study involved administering questionnaires to 879 secondary and higher education students in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, during the COVID-19 epidemic. The data that were gathered underwent a comprehensive analysis. RESULTS: The data analysis revealed a significant positive predictive effect of loneliness on depression. Additionally, the study found that a goal-oriented approach and resilience partially mediated the relationship between feelings of loneliness and symptoms of depression. Furthermore, resilience and goal focus were identified as mediators in a chain, independent of the levels of expression inhibition and cognitive reappraisal. Cognitive reappraisal showed a negative moderating effect on the mediation between loneliness and depression. Moreover, expressive inhibition positively mediated the relationship between loneliness and depression, with resilience playing a role in this association. CONCLUSIONS: The findings indicate that the inability to alleviate negative emotions through socialization and interpersonal companionship during COVID-19 contributed to increased loneliness and subsequent depression. Reduced resilience due to loneliness may lead individuals to project unfavorable interpersonal experiences onto other aspects of life and believe they are incapable of overcoming challenges, thereby deteriorating depression conditions. Enhancing an individual's resilience may help them better adapt to the pandemic-induced changes, mitigating the risk of depression. Similarly, individuals with high levels of goal focus tend to learn from their experiences, adjust their pace of life, and exhibit lower levels of depression. Targeted interventions to enhance goal focus may be beneficial in reducing depression levels. Moreover, individuals who inhibit the expression of their unhappiness may experience elevated depression levels, while those with high cognitive reappraisal skills tend to experience less depression by altering their cognitive perspective on distressing situations. The analysis of the electrical transport properties of the [Bi.sub.2][Sr.sub.2][CaCu,sub,2][O.sub.8X]/AgMg wires show that the application of a magnetic field can really enhance the texture of these tapes. The results show that the change in the texture induces electrical properties that vary with magnetic field orientation.

Graphene is fabricated by thermal decomposition of silicon carbide (SiC) and Pb islands are deposited by Pb flux in molecular beam epitaxy chamber. It is found that graphene domains and SiC buffer layer coexist. Selective growth of Pb islands on SiC buffer layer rather than on graphene domains is observed. It can be ascribed to the higher adsorption energy of Pb atoms on the 6√3 reconstruction of SiC. However, once Pb islands nucleate on graphene domains, they will grow very large owing to the lower diffusion barrier of Pb atoms on graphene. The results are consistent with first-principle calculations. Since Pb atoms on graphene are nearly free-standing, Pb islands grow in even-number mode. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Load spectrum is a decisive factor that is used to analyze fatigue, reliability, and durability of components. In this article, the typical load spectrum of proving ground is collected through load measurement equipment. Load-spectrum preprocessing, including spikes filter, signal denoising, and low-amplitude load elimination, are completed. According to parts correlation of automotive transmission systems, the load transmission route is established. The Monte Carlo sampling is applied to analyze interference of random factors in the process of load transfer route. Load spectrum of key parts of the automobile is determined and thus rain flow counting analysis is scheduled. A non-parametric method is used to complete load-spectrum extrapolation. Eventually, one-dimensional and two-dimensional programming load spectrums are built. OBJECTIVE: The relationship between adiponectin (APN) pathway and Wnt pathway was explored through BMSCs, and the effect of low-level laser irradiation (LLLI) on bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) and its mechanism were further studied. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 3-week-old Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were selected, and mesenchymal stem cells were separately cultured and purified. 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to analyze cell proliferation. After osteogenic and adipogenic induction, cultures were conducted, respectively, cells were stained with alizarin red and oil red O. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expressions of osteogenesis-related genes, runt-related transcription factor 2 (RUNX2), and osteocalcin (OC) and those of adipogenesis-related genes, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPARγ) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha (c/EBPα). Western blotting was used to detect the expressions of β-catenin in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The lentiviral expression vector of adiponectin receptors (APN-R) was constructed, and the expression of APN receptor genes was silenced. The expressions of β-catenin in APN receptors and the nucleus within cells were detected. RESULTS: LLLI promoted the bone formation by inducing the differentiation direction of mesenchymal stem cells, increasing the number of osteoblasts in the bone marrow and inhibiting the reduction of the number of adipocytes. LLLI regulates the Wnt pathway, promotes the entry of β-catenin into the nucleus, activates the osteogenic effect of the Wnt pathway so as to promote the bone formation of osteoblasts and inhibit bone resorption of osteoclasts. LLLI promotes the entry of β-catenin into the nucleus and the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs through the APN pathway. CONCLUSIONS: In summary, LLLI can promote osteogenesis and inhibit adipocytes formation, thus attenuating bone resorption of osteoclasts. The mechanism of LLLI is that it promotes the entry of β-catenin into the nucleus and regulates the Wnt pathway and the differentiation direction of mesenchymal stem cells through the APN signal pathway, thus promoting bone formation. Permian strata from the Tieqiao section (Jiangnan Basin, South China) contain several distinctive conodont assemblages. Early Permian (Cisuralian) assemblages are dominated by the genera Sweetognathus, Pseudosweetognathus and Hindeodus with rare Neostreptognathodus and Gullodus. Gondolellids are absent until the end of the Kungurian stage--in contrast to many parts of the world where gondolellids and Neostreptognathodus are the dominant Kungurian conodonts. A conodont changeover is seen at Tieqiao and coincided with a rise of sea level in the late Kungurian to the early Roadian: the previously dominant sweetognathids were replaced by mesogondolellids. The Middle and Late Permian (Guadalupian and Lopingian Series) witnessed dominance of gondolellids (Jinogondolella and Clarkina), the common presence of Hindeodus and decimation of Sweetognathus. Twenty main and seven subordinate conodont zones are recognised at Tieqiao, spanning the lower Artinskian to the middleWuchiapingian Stage. The main (first appearance datum) zones are, in ascending order by stage: the Sweetognathus (Sw.) whitei, Sw. toriyamai, and Sw. asymmetrica n. sp. Zones for the Artinskian; the Neostreptognathodus prayi, Sw. guizhouensis, Sw. iranicus, Sw. adjunctus, Sw. subsymmeticus and Sw. hanzhongensis Zones for the Kungurian; the Jinogondolella (J.) nankingensis Zone for the Roadian; the J. aserrata Zone for the Wordian; the J. postserrata, J. shannoni, J. altudaensis, J. prexuanhanensis, J. xuanhanensis, J. granti and Clarkina (C.) hongshuiensis Zones for the Capitanian and the C. postbitteri Zone and C. transcaucasica Zone for the base and middle of the Wuchiapingian. The subordinate (interval) zones are the Pseudosweetognathus (Ps.) costatus, Ps. monocornus, Hindeodus (H.) gulloides, Pseudohindeodus ramovsi, Gullodus (G.) sicilianus, G. duani and H. excavates Zones. In addition, three new species, Gullodus tieqiaoensis n. sp., Pseudohindeodus elliptica n. sp. and Sweetognathus asymmetrica n. sp. are described. Age assignments for less common species (e.g., G. duani, H. catalanoi and Pseudosweetognathus monocornus etc.) are reassessed based on a rich conodont collection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
