In this paper, a bumpless transfer strategy of active fault-tolerant control is proposed based on virtual actuator against actuator failure. The traditional technique of virtual actuator is improved for relieving the bump phenomenon when virtual actuator is turned on. Combining with optimal control, a new idea is put forward to suppress this phenomenon in the process of active fault-tolerant control. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the optimal control are given for two kinds of situations respectively. The hardware-in-the-loop simulations of aero-engines demonstrate that the proposed strategy can effectively lower the impact of bump than the traditional virtual actuator design while recovering the faulty system. This article is concerned with a recursive remote estimation problem for a class of nonlinear complex networks subject to the token bucket protocol (TBP) and amplify-and-forward (AF) relays. The influence of the TBP is considered, for the first time, in the context of networked state estimation, where the token consumptions are modeled in a stochastic manner, so as to describe the potential size variability of transmitted measurement signals. Once processed by the TBP, the signals, with stochastic channel coefficients, are transmitted to the remote estimator via AF relays, where a failure in transmission under the TBP may occur due to insufficient tokens in the bucket. An extended-Kalman-filter-based novel recursive estimator is proposed, and by solving Riccati-like difference equations, an upper bound of prediction/estimation error covariance is determined and further minimized through the design of an appropriate estimator gain. The impact of the TBP on estimation performance is also investigated. Some numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed estimator and the effects of the TBP.

A new species, Lysimachiafenghwaiana G.Hao & H.F.Yan (Primulaceae), from Hunan Province, China, is described and illustrated. This new species belongs to Lysimachiasubgen.Lysimachiasect.Nummularia and is morphologically similar to L.crista-galli and L.carinata , but is distinctive in its leaf shape and arrangement of flowers. It can be further distinguished from L.crista-galli by the absence of calyx lobule spur, and from L.carinata by the black glandular striates in the corolla lobes, rather than punctate., (Hai-Fei Yan, Jia-Xiang Li, Tong-Jian Liu, Gang Hao.)

Species-rich genus Primula L. is a typical plant group with which to understand genetic variance between species in different levels of relationships. Chloroplast genome sequences are used to be the information resource for quantifying this difference and reconstructing evolutionary history. In this study, we reported the complete chloroplast genome sequence of Primula sinensis and compared it with other related species. This genome of chloroplast showed a typical circular quadripartite structure with 150,859 bp in sequence length consisting of 37.2% GC base. Two inverted repeated regions (25,535 bp) were separated by a large single-copy region (82,064 bp) and a small single-copy region (17,725 bp). The genome consists of 112 genes, including 78 protein-coding genes, 30 tRNA genes and four rRNA genes. Among them, seven coding genes, seven tRNA genes and four rRNA genes have two copies due to their locations in the IR regions. The accD and infA genes lacking intact open reading frames (ORF) were identified as pseudogenes. SSR and sequence variation analyses were also performed on the plastome of Primula sinensis, comparing with another available plastome of P. poissonii. The four most variable regions, rpl36-rps8, rps16-trnQ, trnH-psbA and ndhC-trnV, were identified. Phylogenetic relationship estimates using three sub-datasets extracted from a matrix of 57 protein-coding gene sequences showed the identical result that was consistent with previous studies. A transcript found from P. sinensis transcriptome showed a high similarity to plastid accD functional region and was identified as a putative plastid transit peptide at the N-terminal region. The result strongly suggested that plastid accD has been functionally transferred to the nucleus in P. sinensis.
