6. Assessment study of helicopter maritime emergency rescue capability

Abstract

In order to effectively evaluate the maritime emergency rescue capability of helicopters and improve their emergency rescue efficiency，it is proposed that the safety issues in the three stages of "pre-prevention-in-event response-post-event recovery" in the rescue process be taken into account in the helicopter maritime emergency rescue system. Based on the "5W1H" analysis method，the research framework is designed，and the evaluation indicators of helicopter maritime emergency rescue capability are screened through literature analysis，questionnaire survey，expert consultation and other methods，and 21 evaluation indicators are determined to build the evaluation index system of helicopter maritime emergency rescue capability. The analytic hierarchy method based on D-S evidence theory is used to determine the index weight，and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to construct a comprehensive evaluation model of helicopter maritime emergency rescue capability. The evaluation model is applied to the rescue exercise taking the injury of offshore wind turbine maintenance personnel as an example， and the score is 86.89，and the rescue ability is judged to be "strong". The results show that the evaluation index system and evaluation model have certain practicality，and can effectively evaluate the ability of helicopter emergency rescue at sea.

21. A Robotic System for Implant Modification in Single-stage Cranioplasty

Abstract

Craniomaxillofacial reconstruction with patient-specific customized craniofacial implants (CCIs) is most commonly performed for large-sized skeletal defects. Because the exact size of skull resection may not be known prior to the surgery, in the single-stage cranioplasty, a large CCI is prefabricated and resized intraoperatively with a manual-cutting process provided by a surgeon. The manual resizing, however, may be inaccurate and significantly add to the operating time. This paper introduces a fast and non-contact approach for intraoperatively determining the exact contour of the skull resection and automatically resizing the implant to fit the resection area. Our approach includes four steps: First, a patient's defect information is acquired by a 3D scanner. Second, the scanned defect is aligned to the CCI by registering the scanned defect to the reconstructed CT model. Third, a cutting toolpath is generated from the contour of the scanned defect. Lastly, the large CCI is resized by a cutting robot to fit the resection area according to the given toolpath. To evaluate the resizing performance of our method, six different resection shapes were used in the cutting experiments. We compared the performance of our method to the performances of surgeon's manual resizing and an existing technique which collects the defect contour with an optical tracking system and projects the contour on the CCI to guide the manual modification. The results show that our proposed method improves the resizing accuracy by 56% compared to the surgeon's manual modification and 42% compared to the projection method., Comment: Submitted to ICRA 2021

Abstract

Pro-inflammatory CD4+ T cells are major drivers of autoimmune diseases, yet therapies modulating T cell phenotypes to promote an anti-inflammatory state are lacking. Here, we identify T helper 17 (TH17) cell plasticity in the kidneys of patients with antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody–associated glomerulonephritis on the basis of single-cell (sc) T cell receptor analysis and scRNA velocity. To uncover molecules driving T cell polarization and plasticity, we established an in vivo pooled scCRISPR droplet sequencing (iCROP-seq) screen and applied it to mouse models of glomerulonephritis and colitis. CRISPR-based gene targeting in TH17 cells could be ranked according to the resulting transcriptional perturbations, and polarization biases into T helper 1 (TH1) and regulatory T cells could be quantified. Furthermore, we show that iCROP-seq can facilitate the identification of therapeutic targets by efficient functional stratification of genes and pathways in a disease- and tissue-specific manner. These findings uncover TH17 to TH1 cell plasticity in the human kidney in the context of renal autoimmunity. To explore how pathogenic TH17 cell plasticity is regulated in mouse models of kidney and gut inflammation, Enk et al. optimized an in vivo pooled single-cell CRISPR droplet sequencing (iCROP-seq) screen. iCROP-seq enabled the assessment and quantification of CRISPR-modified TH17 cell polarization states in vivo.
