Oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) over SrO/La2O3 catalyst was studied in a densely perovskite-type Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCF) mixed-conducting membrane reactor at high temperatures. Oxygen permeation fluxes of the perovskite-type BSCF functional membranes were measured at 973–1123 K, and the membrane surfaces were also studied by SEM for the membranes before and after the catalytic OCM reaction. High selectivity to C2 products was achieved in the oxygen-permeable BSCF mixed-conducting membrane reactor, and the highest C2 yield of 11.6% was obtained in the oxygen-separation membrane reactor at 1123 K. The perovskite-type BSCF mixed-conducting membrane reactor also exhibited good stability for the catalytic OCM membrane reaction during 30-hour preliminary operation.

A hybrid pharmacophore approach was adopted to design and synthesize new series of pyridone-thiazole hybrid compounds. The structures of the compounds were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS. All the newly prepared compounds (3a-3m) were in vitro evaluated for their antiproliferative activity against three human cancer cell lines, namely Colon cancer (HCT-116), gastric carcinoma (MGC803) and hepatocellular cancer (Huh7). Bioassay results demonstrated that most of the tested compounds showed potent anti-tumor activities against various cancer cells in vitro, and some compounds exhibited stronger effects than positive control 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU). Compound 3b showed the best anti-tumor activity with IC50 values of 8.17 μM and 3.15 μM against HCT116 and MGC803 cell lines, respectively, which was 1.4–8.1 times more potent than 5-Fluorouracil (IC50 = 11.29 μM and 25.54 μM against HCT116 and MGC803 respectively). These findings suggest that compound 3b may have potential to be developed as a promising lead for the design of novel anticancer small-molecule drugs.

Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy and Lanthanum-doped Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy were fabricated by powder metallurgy method. The effect of lanthanum in arc erosion of titanium-zirconium-molybdenum alloy was investigated by using SEM, arc erosion test system and analytical balance. Results show that lanthanum-doped Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy has a higher strength, density and lower electrical resistivity compared to that of Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy. The average of arc energy and the arc time decrease 17.9% and 20.9% respectively because doping lanthanum decreases the arc current by forming reverse current between the contacts. The mass loss decreases 32.5% and erosion area reduces 32.6%. The lanthanum in the cathode has a good ability of electron emission.

A simple and novel synthesis of spirocyclic oxindole derivatives by the reaction of ( E)-3-arylideneindole-2-ones and 1,4-dithiane-2,5-diol via a Michael-aldol cascade under solvent-free reaction conditions is reported. This method provides a new practical and facile approach to 4′-hydroxy-2′-aryl-4’,5′-dihydro-2' H-spiro[oxindole-3,3′-thiophen]-2-ones in moderate to good yields. The structures of all the products were characterised by NMR, infrared spectroscopy and HRMS.

The FeCrAl coating was deposited on the surface of Molybdenum alloy by unbalanced magnetron sputtering, and the effect of deposition time on the composition, microstructure and properties of the coating was investigated. Characterized by XRD, SEM, German Standard (VDI3198(1991), indentation method) and ASTM C633-01 standard tensile analysis, the results show that the coating phase prepared at different deposition time is FeCrNi solid solution with BCC structure and the microstructure is ridge structure. With the increase of deposition time, the ridge structure on the surface of the film is more uniform, and its thickness increased from 21.6μm to 42.3μm. When the coating thickness is 42.3μm, the average bonding strength between the coating and the substrate is 39.7MPa, which meets the preparation requirements of the molybdenum alloy surface coating.
