Metal‐modified catalysts have attracted extraordinary research attention in heterogeneous catalysis due to their enhanced geometric and electronic structures and outstanding catalytic performances. Silver (Ag) possesses necessary active sites for ethylene epoxidation, but the catalyst activity is usually sacrificed to obtain high selectivity towards ethylene oxide (EO). Herein, we report that using Al can help in tailoring the unoccupied 3d state of Ag on the MnO2 support through strong electronic metal‐support interactions (EMSIs), overcoming the activity‐selectivity trade‐off for ethylene epoxidation and resulting in a very high ethylene conversion rate (~100 %) with 90 % selectivity for EO under mild conditions (170 °C and atmospheric pressure). Structural characterization and theoretical calculations revealed that the EMSIs obtained by the Al modification tailor the unoccupied 3d state of Ag, modulating the adsorption of ethylene (C2H4) and oxygen (O2) and facilitating EO desorption, resulting in high C2H4 conversion. Meanwhile, the increased number of positively charge Ag+ lowers the energy barrier for C2H4(ads) oxidation to produce oxametallacycle (OMC), inducing the unexpectedly high EO selectivity. Such an extraordinary electronic promotion provides new promising pathways for designing advanced metal catalysts with high activity and selectivity in selective oxidation reactions. Cotton holds a significant position among cash crops in China, with Xinjiang serving as the primary cotton‐growing region within the country. Agricultural practices involving plastic mulching have gained importance. However, the presence of residual plastic film affects the growth of cotton seedlings as well as the soil environment. Our study aimed to explore the impact of residual plastic film accumulation on the growth of cotton seedlings and the associated soil water‐salt environment. This was done through a barrel planting experiment, utilizing soil from cotton fields with varying durations of mulching. The study showed that when the mulching period exceeded 12 years (residual plastic film content of 260.77 kg hm−2), residual plastic film had a significant impact on cotton seedling growth and the soil environment. Residual plastic film reduces the seedling germination rate of cotton by up to 11.11% (7 days after irrigation, 15 years of film mulching, residual plastic film content of 309.88 kg hm−2). It also impedes the growth of cotton seedlings; plant height, stem thickness, and leaf area were reduced by 34.52%, 10.73%, and 37.18%, respectively (19 days after irrigation, 15 years of film mulching, residual plastic film content of 309.88 kg·hm−2). Compared with the treatment without residual plastic film, the shallow soil water content in the T5 treatment decreased by 1.19% (10 days after irrigation, 15 years of film mulching, residual plastic film content of 309.88 kg·hm−2). Residual plastic film in cotton fields subjected to long‐term mulching obstructs the normal growth and development of cotton seedlings while also impacting the transport of soil water and salt. Therefore, we recommend adopting biodegradable mulch or regularly recycling residual plastic film within mulched areas to prevent its accumulation and subsequent negative impacts. Purpose: To establish typical value ranges (TVRs) of the air‐charged catheter (ACC) system, and analyze the typical signal patterns (TSPs) of cough under different bladder volumes for quality control of a urodynamic study using the ACC system. Materials and Methods: The urodynamic traces of 1977 patients with neurogenic bladder (NB) were analyzed for intravesical pressure (pves), abdominal pressure (pabd), and detrusor pressure (pdet) in the cough test at our center from July 2017 to December 2021. The pdet cough signals were described and classified. The pdet cough signal patterns in different bladder volumes and postures were analyzed. Results: The 50% range of the initial resting pves, pabd, and pdet in the supine and sitting positions were 7–15, 7–14, and 0–0 cmH2O, and 24–33, 24–33, and 0–0 cmH2O, respectively. The cough amplitudes for pves and pabd were similar in the 50% range, as follows: 10–27 and 8–25 cmH2O in the supine position, respectively; and 18–43 and 17–40 cmH2O in the sitting position, respectively. The cough amplitude of pves and pabd was not related to bladder volume (p > 0.05). The cough spikes of pdet were divided into three types: type I, in which pdet has a minimal change (<5 cmH2O); type II, a monophasic cough spike, in which could be a positive (IIa, ≥5 cmH2O) or negative spike (IIb, ≥5 cmH2O); and type III, a biphasic spike, in which could be a positive‐to‐negative biphasic (IIIa) or negative‐to‐positive spike (IIIb). Under different bladder volumes, the cough signals of pdet were all expressed as type I, II, or III, and the cough signals were unrelated to bladder volume (p > 0.05). Conclusions: TVRs of the initial resting state in patients with NB were established to provide guidance for quantitative quality control of the ACC system. The TSPs of the pdet cough signal under different bladder volume and posture were described, which could be used for qualitative quality control of the ACC system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The core of tissue engineering is the fabrication of a complex three-dimensional space with cells and biomaterials. In the development of porous scaffolds in vitro, no matter the seed cells ran into the scaffold, or its excretion of waste discharged scaffolds, they both need the nutrient solution to be brought into or taken out. Therefore, the flow of the nutrient solution, cells and metabolic waste for the profitable living in vitro culture plays a significant role. the paper constructed bone scaffold models of different geometric parameters, analog cells, and nutrient solution flow conditions in the scaffolds using the FLUENT software. By making a contrastive analysis with the simulated result, the internal organizational design parameters of scaffold for tissue engineering is optimized and a certain amount of data and a theoretical basis for the internal bone scaffold structure design is provided.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Hengli® Chinese botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A; 100 U) in Chinese patients with overactive bladder. Methods: This study was a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in Chinese patients who were inadequately managed with anticholinergic medications. Eligible patients were randomized 2:1 to receive intradetrusor injections of Hengli® BTX-A (n = 144) or placebo (n = 72). The primary endpoint was the change in the number of daily micturition episodes at week 6 from baseline. The secondary efficacy endpoints included the average frequency of urgency and urinary incontinence (UI) episodes per day, urgency score, average micturition volume per day, OABSS, and QoL score. Results: In the Hengli® BTX-A group, there was a significantly greater reduction in the average number of micturition episodes per 24 h compared with the placebo group (3.28 vs. 1.43; p = 0.003). Moreover, there was a significantly greater improvement in the daily number of urgency episodes, micturition volume and OABSS score. An increased post-void residual urine volume, dysuria, and urinary tract infection represented adverse events (AEs) in the Hengli® BTX-A group. Most AEs were mild or moderate in severity. One patient in the BTX-A group initiated clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) during treatment. Conclusion: Hengli® BTX-A treatment was well-tolerated and resulted in significant improvements in OAB symptoms among Chinese patients inadequately managed by anticholinergics.
