To meet the high-precision needs of conductive ink in the field of microelectronic circuit printing, nano silver-coated graphene oxide (GO) composites were prepared as the conductive functional unit of the composites. The results show that compatibility of the GO grafted with ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether is better in the organic matrix than in the inorganic solvents. The nano silver particles attached to the surface of the grafted GO are evenly distributed and uniform in size. Moreover, the conductivity of grafted GO coated with silver particle composites is effectively improved. The composite conductivity is higher than 108 S/m, which is close to the electrical conductivity of silver.

Engineering chemistry is the basis of materials science. Students majoring in materials specialty should learn engineering chemistry well and closely link it with materials science. However, it is difficult to achieve the expected teaching effect in the actual teaching process. By analysing the problems existing in the traditional teaching process of engineering chemistry, this study proposes a teaching strategy based on the BOPPPS teaching mode, such as the introduction of the flipped classroom and the classroom Interaction to enhance the interests of students in learning and their self-efficacy, so as to enrich their specialized knowledge and develop their creative thinking and abilities.

In order to adapt to the latest development of higher education in the era of big data, improve the sensitivity for postgraduate of chemical engineering in the public opinions of public events related to their major, this study took “the pandemic of COVID-19 on Twitter in Germany” as an example and investigated the health communication and public opinions on COVID-19 based on the Python scripts and Twitter streaming application programming interface using statistical analysis and chi square feature selection. The provided method is helpful to improve the insight, prediction, scientific literacy and innovation ability of postgraduate of chemical engineering.

Cultivating innovative talents to meet the needs of professional development is an urgent mission of higher education institutions under the situation of “Double First-Class” construction. As one of the foundations of science and technology major, chemistry courses play an essential role in promoting an innovative spirit, cultivating creative consciousness, and improving creative ability. This paper discussed the optimization of the curriculum system, the construction of the teaching mode, and the transformation of the cultivation mode of chemistry courses in engineering majors from the aspects of curriculum design, theoretical teaching, experimental teaching, and out-of-class training. Through cultivating innovation consciousness in theory and experimental teaching, and improving innovation ability in extra-curricular practical education, we hope to bring a positive effect on the reform of the cultivation mode of innovation ability in the teaching process of chemistry courses in engineering colleges and universities.

Chemistry is an experimental science. Practical teaching is a significant link in the cultivation of students majoring in chemistry to foster students' practical, professional application, and innovation abilities. Based on the investigation and analysis of the problems existing in the cultivation of the practical ability of applied chemistry major, take specific measures, such as constructing the practical teaching system of applied chemistry major, explored a better practical teaching system for students of applied chemistry major; applied to the reform and innovation of training mode of students majoring in applied chemistry and achieved good results.

Composite solid electrolyte is a promising solution for the development of new generation of safe and high‐performance all‐solid‐state lithium batteries (ASSLBs). It combines both the advantages of inorganic electrolyte and organic polymer electrolyte, having high ionic conductivity, mechanical strength, good contact with the electrodes and high processability. In the recent decades, rare earth oxides have attracted wide attentions from researchers because of their high ionic conductivity. China is abundant in rare earth resources, so has a good chance to provide the world with high quality rare earth containing functional materials. This review paper focuses on the recent progress in the studies of composite solid electrolyte of polymer and rare earth containing lithium lanthanum zirconium and lithium lanthanum titanium oxides, and gains insights into the challenges in the field, and hopefully helps in the rational design of high performance electrolyte for the development of ASSLBs. A high thermal conductivity novolac/nickel/graphite nanosheet (novolac/Ni/NanoG) composite was synthesized through in situ polymerization. Graphite nanosheet (NanoG) was prepared by sonicating expanded graphite (EG) in an aqueous alcohol solution and was plated with nickel through an electrodeposition method. The X-ray diffraction spectrum shows that nickel was successfully plated onto the graphite surface and the nickel thickness is about 27.89 nm. The microstructures of the Ni/NanoG were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results reveal that nickel particles with the average diameter of 25 nm are coated on NanoG surface homogeneously and densely. Energy dispersive spectrometry spectrum confirms that the Ni content coated on NanoG surface, whose atomic percentage is 61%, is much higher than that of C element. The values predicted by theoretical model were underestimated the thermal conductivity of novolac/Ni/NanoG composites. Among NG, EG, NanoG, and Ni/NanoG four kinds of particles, the Ni/NanoG improved the thermal conductivity of novolac resin significantly. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
