Hydrodynamic cavitation is widely used in many fields such as water treatment, impact rock breaking, and food preparation. The performance of hydrodynamic cavitation is closely related to its internal flow field. In the present study, cavitation flow field was analyzed by computational fluid dynamics in the reactor. The cavitation performance of the rotor is evaluated under different operating conditions. The time frequency distribution of pressure pulsation is studied. The pressure increases at the connection point between the local low-pressure area and the mainstream low-pressure area. Cavitation bubbles collapsed at the tail end of the cavity to form a local void area. The blade frequency amplitude of pressure pulsation shows the significant periodic change. The blade frequency amplitude decreases along the flow direction. The effect of the fluid outlet led to the increase in the second-order harmonic frequency amplitude. The research results could provide theoretical support for the research of cavitation mechanism of cavitation equipment.

In the context of the rapid development of big data information digitization, how to use big data technology to analyze the sentiment of domestic movie reviews is a hot topic of current concern. In this paper, we use two similarly themed Chinese movie reviews as the basis and use discrete regression models to study the emotional tendency of movie reviews. Firstly, the ROC curves of the regression model are plotted based on the convolutional neural network to construct the text classification task metrics and the logistic discrete regression algorithm. The prediction probability at the bottom of the curve is 56.3%, and the 95% confidence interval is [56%, 56.6%], indicating the model’s high accuracy. Then, the factors affecting effective tendency were analyzed by the logistic discrete regression model, and both user level (UL) and per capita disposable income (PCDI) had significant effects on affective tendency (ET) (both p-values were less than 0.001), and the coefficients of both influencing factors were less than 0. This indicates that user level (UL) and per capita disposable income (PCDI) have significant negative effects on affective tendency (ET) have a significant negative effect on affective tendency (ET), i.e., the higher the user level, the more likely it is to have a bad review, i.e., the higher the per capita disposable income, the more likely it is to have a bad review. This study provides a comprehensive and objective evaluation of domestic movie reviews and provides a guiding reference basis for the development direction and progress of Chinese movies.

In this article, the side-entry agitator commonly used in the wet desulfurization absorption tower of a 300 MW thermal power unit was taken as the research object, and the gas–liquid two-phase flow field in the stirring tank was numerically simulated by using the two-fluid model based on Euler–Euler method. The vertical and horizontal velocity field distribution and gas phase distribution in the stirring tank were studied. The results showed that the side-entry agitator formed a “fountain” circulating flow in the stirring tank. The high-speed region of the liquid flow was mainly concentrated near the mixing blade and the bottom banded region. The range of large changes in the fluid velocity was mainly concentrated from the bottom of the mixing tank to 2–3 m from the bottom. The distribution of the oxidizing air was concentrated in the middle of the stirring tank. The mixing effect of two phases in the stirred tank was good, and the oxidizing air was fully diffused. The numerical study in this article has reference significance for in-depth understanding of the flow field and mixing effect of the side-entry agitator.

Background/Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effects of combined 5% lifitegrast (LF) and tocopherol (TCP) eye drops in a murine experimental dry eye (EDE) model. Methods: Female C57BL/6 were divided into seven groups: untreated controls, EDE control, EDE + 0.05% cyclosporin A (CsA), EDE + tocopherol (TCP), EDE + 5% LF, EDE + 5% LF + TCP (once daily), and EDE + 5% LF + TCP (twice daily). Clinical parameters (tear volume, tear break-up time (TBUT), corneal fluorescein staining score (CFSS), tear film lipid layer grade (TFLLG)) were assessed on days 7 and 14. Goblet cell density in the conjunctiva, CD4+ IFN-γ+ T cells, interleukin levels, reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, and corneal apoptotic cells were analyzed on day 14. Results: Monotherapy with 0.05% CsA and LF showed improvements in all clinical parameters compared to the EDE control (p < 0.05). Combination therapy groups demonstrated superior improvements in clinical parameters compared to the EDE control, 0.05% CsA, and 5% LF groups. CD4+ IFN-γ+ T cell percentages and ROS levels in the cornea and conjunctiva were markedly reduced in the combination groups compared with the 0.05% CsA and 5% LF groups (p < 0.01). Furthermore, corneal apoptotic cells significantly decreased in the combination groups compared to the 0.05% CsA and TCP groups (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Combined 5% LF and TCP eye drops improved tear film parameters and reduced inflammatory and oxidative stress markers. The combination therapy can mitigate ocular surface damage by managing inflammation and oxidative stress in dry eye. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bubble flow is widely used in various industrial scenarios. Usually, bubbles often do not exist alone, resulting in interactions that affect bubble flow patterns, even the efficiency of mass and heat transfer or the radiation acoustics feature. In this paper, two identical nozzles with adjustable center distance are adopted to study the effect of bubble interaction on bubble flow pattern and acoustic signal. The results show that the interaction of bubbles will change the trajectory of bubbles. When the time interval between the two bubbles is larger, the time domain acoustic signal is more likely to have two obvious peaks. The bubble interaction will weaken the vibration intensity of the bubble, so that the frequency band distribution of the acoustic signal is more uniform, and the peak value is lower. Extreme environmental changes caused by the cavitation bubble collapse, such as high pressure, high temperature and the microjet, will cause pyrolysis reaction at the gas and liquid interface inside the bubble. Self-excited pulsed cavitation jet has an instantaneous strong pulse pressure, which leads to local hot spots surrounding the cavitation bubbles. The generation of strong oxidizing free radicals promotes easy ozone conversion into oxygen. Numerical simulations were conducted for ozone decomposition by cavitation jet. Three groups of different collision angles were applied to compare and analyze the ozone degradation reaction. Results showed that the collision angle has a certain influence on the chemical reaction intensity, the degradation of ozone, and oxygen production. At the collision angle of 180°, the chemical reaction was the most violent, with ozone degradation and oxygen production at the highest level, followed by 120° and lowest at 90°.

This study aims to investigate the effect of the selective MT2 receptor agonist, IIK7, on corneal autophagy and apoptosis, aiming to reduce corneal epithelial damage and inflammation from blue light exposure in mice. Eight-week-old C57BL/6 mice were divided into BL-exposed (BL) and BL-exposed with IIK7 treatment (BL + IIK7 group). Mice underwent blue light exposure (410 nm, 100 J) twice daily with assessments at baseline and on days 3, 7, and 14. Corneal samples were analyzed for MT2 receptor expression, autophagy markers (LC3-II and p62), and apoptosis indicators (BAX expression and TUNEL assay). Then, mice were assigned to normal control, BL, and BL + IIK7. Ocular surface parameters, including corneal fluorescein staining scores, tear volume, and tear film break-up time, were evaluated on days 7 and 14. On day 14, reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels and CD4+ IFN-γ+ T cells percentages were measured. The BL group exhibited higher LC3-II and p62 expression, while the BL + IIK7 group showed reduced expression (p < 0.05). The TUNEL assay showed reduced apoptosis in the BL + IIK7 group compared to the BL group. ROS levels were lower in the BL + IIK7 group. The BL + IIK7 group showed improved ocular surface parameters, including decreased corneal fluorescein staining and increased tear volume. The percentages of CD4+ IFN-γ+ T cells indicated reduced inflammatory responses in the BL + IIK7 group. The rapid and accurate recognition of cavitation in centrifugal pumps has become essential for improving production efficiency and ensuring machinery longevity. To address the limitations of existing methods in terms of applicability, accuracy, and efficiency, a new method based on multi-dimensional feature fusion and convolutional gate recurrent unit (MCGN) was proposed. Experimental monitoring of cavitation of centrifugal pumps was conducted. Five signals at different water temperatures and operating frequencies were collected. Key modulating features were extracted by time-frequency analysis and principal component analysis. The multi-dimensional features are fused by one and two dimensional convolutional neural networks. The cavitation state label was used to label the sample set by cavitation number, net positive suction head, and cavitation evolution images captured by high-speed cameras. Finally, the neural network based on the convolutional gate recurrent unit was used to classify the cavitation state of the centrifugal pump. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves recognition accuracies exceeding 98% for vibration signals, noise signals, outlet pressure pulsation signals, and torque signals. Compared with the short-time Fourier transform-autoencoder model, MCGN model can improve the recognition accuracy by 4.03%, computation efficiency by 20%, and loss by 87%. Realizing and manipulating strong light–matter coupling in two-dimensional monolayer semiconductors is important in the research of cavity quantum electrodynamics and the development of photonic/plasmonic devices. Here, we investigate the coupling between the transverse-electric (TE) polarized wave supported by a Si3N4/Ag heterostructure and the two excitons in a WS2 monolayer (i.e., the A- and B-excitons) attached on such a heterostructure. It is found that the dissipation rate of the TE wave can be modified by simply varying the thickness of the Ag film. By appropriately designing the thickness of the Ag film, the strong coupling between the TE wave and the two excitons in the WS2 monolayer can be simultaneously realized, leading to hybridization of the two excitons. We numerically simulate the angle-resolved reflection spectra for the WS2/Si3N4/Ag heterostructure and reveal hybridization of the two excitons mediated by the TE wave. In experiments, we introduce Au nanorods as scatters for the TE wave, which enhance the in-plane electric field and achieve stronger photon–exciton coupling. We experimentally measured the angled-resolved scattering spectra for an Au nanorod placed on the WS2/Si3N4/Ag heterostructure and demonstrated the strong coupling between the TE wave and the two excitons, which results in the hybridization of the two excitons. Our findings open horizons for realizing and manipulating strong light–matter interaction in two-dimensional materials and pave the way for the construction of photonic/plasmonic devices by exploiting dielectric–metal heterostructure.
