Education does more than give students facts; it develops their potential and trains them to adapt to and improve their living environment. Through education, students formulate informed ideas about the interactions between people, things, and the environment. In an era of global environmental change, students must understand environmental problems and develop the knowledge and skills to help mitigate or solve them. The key concepts students learn and the ideas that influence students during wetland ecology-based outdoor education courses are thus worthy of investigation. This study summarized several key indicators through a literature review and an analysis of expert interviews. The literature review revealed nine indicators: ecological conservation, natural environment, biological habitat, individual development, environmental education, learning through practice, social culture, economy, and environmental quality. An expert questionnaire was used to apply interpretive structural modeling and integrate correlations among the indicators. Subsequently, the analytic network process was employed to establish the weights of assessing indicators. This study defined key indicators and provided analysis of the weighted results. These findings give teachers an academic basis for enhancing the design of related teaching curricula to achieve their teaching goals effectively.

Historic urban areas are the foundations of urban development. Due to rapid urbanization, the sustainable development of historic urban areas has become challenging for many cities. Elements of tourism and tourism service facilities play an important role in the sustainable development of historic areas. This study analyzed policies related to tourism in Panguifang and Meixian districts in Meizhou, Guangdong, China. Kernel density estimation was used to study the clustering characteristics of tourism elements through point of interest (POI) data, while space syntax was used to study the accessibility of roads. In addition, the Pearson correlation coefficient and regression were used to analyze the correlation between the elements and accessibility. The results show the following: (1) the overall number of tourism elements was high on the western side of the districts and low on the eastern one, and the elements were predominantly distributed along the main transportation arteries; (2) according to the integration degree and depth value, the western side was easier to access than the eastern one; and (3) the depth value of the area negatively correlated with kernel density, while the degree of integration positively correlated with it. Based on the results, the study put forward measures for optimizing the elements of tourism in Meizhou's historic urban area to improve cultural tourism and emphasize the importance of the elements. As the principal part of economic and social development, the demographic factor is the fundamental factor driving the change of water resources, and achieving the harmony of human and water has been one of the most important tasks to promote high-quality development. Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, this article applied panel data for 19 years and employed impulse response functions and threshold models to do a mechanism analysis of the impact of population structure changes on the water consumption changes of the three main industries. The study found the following: Firstly, the urban population promotes an increase of the total water consumption, industrial water consumption, and domestic water consumption, which suppresses agricultural water consumption and shows an inverted "N" trend. Secondly, the aging population has expanded the total water consumption, and agricultural and domestic water demand, and reduced industrial water consumption. Thirdly, food consumption helps to reduce the total water consumption and agricultural water consumption, but increases the industrial water consumption and the growth rate rises. Fourthly, the increase in the proportion of agricultural employment reduces the total water consumption, and agricultural and domestic water consumption, and increases industrial water consumption. Fifthly, the total water consumption and domestic water consumption both increase with the improvement of the population education level, while the agricultural water consumption declines first and then rises. The empirical results can provide a reference for analyzing the driving mechanisms of regional water consumption changes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
