For superconducting quantum processors, stable high-fidelity two-qubit operations depend on precise flux control of the tunable coupler. However, the pulse distortion poses a significant challenge to the control precision. Current calibration methods, which often rely on microwave crosstalk or additional readout resonators for coupler excitation and readout, tend to be cumbersome and inefficient, especially when couplers only have flux control. Here, we introduce and experimentally validate a novel pulse calibration scheme that exploits the strong coupling between qubits and couplers, eliminating the need for extra coupler readout and excitation. Our method directly measures the short-time and long-time step responses of the coupler flux pulse transient, enabling us to apply predistortion to subsequent signals using fast Fourier transformation and deconvolution. This approach not only simplifies the calibration process but also significantly improves the precision and stability of the flux control. We demonstrate the efficacy of our method through the implementation of diabatic CZ and iSWAP gates with fidelities of $99.61\pm0.04\%$ and $99.82\pm0.02\%$, respectively, as well as a series of diabatic CPhase gates with high fidelities characterized by cross-entropy benchmarking. The consistency and robustness of our technique are further validated by the reduction in pulse distortion and phase error observed across multilayer CZ gates. The $A$V$_3$Sb$_5$ ($A=$ K, Rb, Cs) family of Kagome metals hosts unconventional charge density wave order whose nature is still an open puzzle. Accumulated evidences point to a time-reversal symmetry breaking orbital flux phase that carries loop currents. Such an order may support anomalous Hall effect. However, the polar Kerr effect measurements that probe the a.c. anomalous Hall conductivity seems to have yielded contradictory results. We first argue on symmetry grounds that some previously proposed orbital flux order, most notably the one with Star-of-David distortion, shall not give rise to anomalous Hall or polar Kerr effects. We further take the tri-hexagonal orbital flux phase as an exemplary Kagome flux order that does exhibit anomalous Hall response, and show that the Kerr rotation angle at two relevant experimental optical frequencies generally reaches microradians to sub-milliradians levels. A particularly sharp resonance enhancement is observed at around $\hbar \omega =1$ eV, suggesting exceedingly large Kerr rotation at the corresponding probing frequencies not yet accessed by previous experiments. Isolated interacting quantum systems generally thermalize, yet there are several counterexamples for the breakdown of ergodicity, such as many-body localization and quantum scars. Recently, ergodicity breaking has been observed in systems subjected to linear potentials, termed Stark many-body localization. This phenomenon is closely associated with Hilbert-space fragmentation, characterized by a strong dependence of dynamics on initial conditions. Here, we experimentally explore initial-state dependent dynamics using a ladder-type superconducting processor with up to 24 qubits, which enables precise control of the qubit frequency and initial state preparation. In systems with linear potentials, we observe distinct non-equilibrium dynamics for initial states with the same quantum numbers and energy, but with varying domain wall numbers. This distinction becomes increasingly pronounced as the system size grows, in contrast with disordered interacting systems. Thouless pumping, a dynamical version of the integer quantum Hall effect, represents the quantized charge pumped during an adiabatic cyclic evolution. Here we report experimental observations of nontrivial topological pumping that is induced by disorder even during a topologically trivial pumping trajectory. With a 41-qubit superconducting quantum processor, we develop a Floquet engineering technique to realize cycles of adiabatic pumping by simultaneously varying the on-site potentials and the hopping couplings. We demonstrate Thouless pumping in the presence of disorder and show its breakdown as the strength of disorder increases. Moreover, we observe two types of topological pumping that are induced by on-site potential disorder and hopping disorder, respectively. Especially, an intrinsic topological pump that is induced by quasi-periodic hopping disorder has never been experimentally realized before. Our highly controllable system provides a valuable quantum simulating platform for studying various aspects of topological physics in the presence of disorder.

Characterizing the nature of hydrodynamical transport properties in quantum dynamics provides valuable insights into the fundamental understanding of exotic non-equilibrium phases of matter. Experimentally simulating infinite-temperature transport on large-scale complex quantum systems is of considerable interest. Here, using a controllable and coherent superconducting quantum simulator, we experimentally realize the analog quantum circuit, which can efficiently prepare the Haar-random states, and probe spin transport at infinite temperature. We observe diffusive spin transport during the unitary evolution of the ladder-type quantum simulator with ergodic dynamics. Moreover, we explore the transport properties of the systems subjected to strong disorder or a tilted potential, revealing signatures of anomalous subdiffusion in accompany with the breakdown of thermalization. The polar Kerr effect and the closely related anomalous charge Hall effect are among the most distinguishing signatures of the superconducting state in Sr$_2$RuO$_4$, as well as in several other compounds. These effects are often thought to be derived from chiral superconducting pairing, and different mechanisms have been invoked for the explanation. However, the intrinsic mechanisms proposed previously often involve unrealistically strong interband Cooper pairing. In this study we show that, even without interband pairing, nonunitary superconducting states can support intrinsic anomalous charge Hall effect, thanks to the quantum geometric properties of the Bloch electrons. The key here is to have a normal-state spin Hall effect, for which a nonzero spin-orbit coupling is essential. A finite charge Hall effect then naturally arises at the onset of a spin-polarized nonunitary superconducting pairing. It depends on both the spin polarization and the normal-state electron Berry curvature, the latter of which is the imaginary part of the quantum geometric tensor of the Bloch states. Applying our results to the weakly-paired Sr$_2$RuO$_4$ we conclude that, if the reported Kerr effect is of intrinsic origin, the superconducting state is most likely nonunitary and has odd-parity. One approach to probe the still controversial superconductivity in Sr$_2$RuO$_4$ is to apply external perturbations that break the underlying tetragonal crystalline symmetry. Chiral $p_x+ip_y$ and $d_{xz}+id_{yz}$ states respond to such perturbations in ways that may help to distinguish them from other superconducting pairings. However, past experimental efforts along this line, using uniaxial strains and magnetic fields parallel to the RuO$_2$ plane, have not been able to reach an unambiguous conclusion. In this study, we propose to further examine the possibility of chiral superconducting order in Sr$_2$RuO$_4$ using an alternative tetragonal-symmetry-breaking perturbation -- in-plane supercurrent. We study the superconducting phase diagram as a function of both temperature and the applied supercurrent. Supercurrent generically splits the transition of the two chiral order parameter components, and we show that the splitting can give rise to visible specific heat anomalies. Furthermore, supercurrent parallel and anti-parallel to the unidirectional propagation of the chiral edge modes impact the edge states in different manner. This difference manifests in the tunneling spectrum, thereby providing an additional means to probe the chirality even when the related spontaneous edge current is vanishingly small. Finally, we discuss the distinction of supercurrent responses in non-chiral time-reversal-symmetry-breaking superconducting states. Quantum simulation of different exotic topological phases of quantum matter on a noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) processor is attracting growing interest. Here, we develop a one-dimensional 43-qubit superconducting quantum processor, named as Chuang-tzu, to simulate and characterize emergent topological states. By engineering diagonal Aubry-Andr$\acute{\mathrm{e}}$-Harper (AAH) models, we experimentally demonstrate the Hofstadter butterfly energy spectrum. Using Floquet engineering, we verify the existence of the topological zero modes in the commensurate off-diagonal AAH models, which have never been experimentally realized before. Remarkably, the qubit number over 40 in our quantum processor is large enough to capture the substantial topological features of a quantum system from its complex band structure, including Dirac points, the energy gap's closing, the difference between even and odd number of sites, and the distinction between edge and bulk states. The anomalous Hall effect and the closely related polar Kerr effect are among the most direct evidence of chiral Cooper pairing in some superconductors. While it has been known that disorder or multiband pairing is typically needed for these effects to manifest, there is a lack of direct real-space investigation with regard to how disorder impacts the Hall response in both single-band and multiband chiral superconductors. On the basis of chiral superconducting models often adopted for \SRO, we study in this work the anomalous Hall effect in the presence of random non-magnetic impurities on real-space lattices. The single-band chiral p-wave ($p_x+ip_y$) calculation qualitatively reproduces the Hall conductivity obtained in previous skew-scattering-type diagrammatic analyses, along with some quantitative difference originating primarily from contributions involving impurity-induced in-gap states. The non-p-wave chiral states, such as $d_{x^2-y^2}+id_{xy}$, generically exhibit finite Hall response in the presence of random impurities, in contrast to a conclusion drawn from the aforementioned diagrammatic study. In particular, while pointlike impurities appears to induce minuscule Hall conductivity in non-self-consistent calculations, self-consistency and finite-range impurity potentials can both lead to substantial Hall conductivity. On the other hand, the intrinsic Hall conductivity in multiband chiral superconductors, which is related to interband transitions, decreases parametrically as disorder suppresses the superconducting order parameter. In addition, we check that random impurities do not induce anomalous Hall effect in non-chiral but time-reversal symmetry breaking superconducting states the likes of $s+i d_{x^2-y^2}$ and $d_{x^2-y^2}+i g_{xy(x^2-y^2)}$.
