With the rapid development of photovoltaic power generation, how to improve the photovoltaic grid connection rate is an urgent problem to be solved. This article proposes an optimized scheduling method for the water and photovoltaic complementary system, taking into account the operation strategy of pump stations to improve the photovoltaic grid connection rate. Firstly, a multi-objective optimization scheduling model is constructed to consider both power generation and output fluctuation, and the uncertainty of photovoltaic power generation is analyzed from multiple perspectives. Then, taking the cascade hydropower stations and surrounding photovoltaic power stations in a river basin in Sichuan as an example, the operation strategy of pump stations is introduced into the water and photovoltaic complementary system, considering different weather scenarios, to reduce the photovoltaic curtailment rate. The study verifies that the introduction of pump stations can effectively increase the photovoltaic grid connection rate, and quantitatively analyzes the pump station capacity configuration under different photovoltaic penetration rates.

Purely organic emitters that can efficiently utilize triplet excitons are highly desired for organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). Hot exciton channel has emerged as a competitive strategy for the efficient harvest of triplet exciton to improve the OLEDs performance and suppress efficiency roll‐off in devices. Here, two deep blue emitters, OPACN and SPACN are designed and synthesized, employing diphenylanthracene (PAnP) unit as central core, sp3 hybridized O and S atom as conjugation blocker, and electron‐withdrawing cyano group as intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) introducer. Especially, OPACN presents bluer emission with electroluminescence (EL) peak at 436 nm, CIE coordinates of (0.16, 0.10), and a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 8.7%, while SPACN shows an EL peak at 444 nm, CIE coordinates of (0.17, 0.12) and a maximum EQE of 9.0%. Furthermore, the single‐component white organic light‐emitting diode (WOLED) based on OPACN exhibits dual emission from monomer and excimer with EQE of 5.4%. And even the luminance increases to 1000–10 000 cd m−2, the EQE still remains as high as 5.2% and 4.4%, respectively, showing very low efficiency roll‐offs. The incidence and mortality of cardiovascular diseases, of which coronary heart disease (CHD) is a significant cardiovascular burden, are on the rise. Pyroptosis as an incipient programmed cell death mediated by inflammasomes can sense cytoplasmic contamination or interference and is typically marked by intracellular swelling, plasma membrane blistering and intense inflammatory cytokine release. As research on pyroptosis continues to progress, there is mounting evidence that pyroptosis is a vital participant in the pathophysiological basis of CHD. Atherosclerosis is the major pathophysiological basis of CHD and involves pyroptosis of endothelial cells, macrophages, vascular smooth muscle cells, and other immune cells, often in association with the release of pro-inflammatory factors. When cardiomyocytes are damaged, it will eventually lead to heart failure. Previous studies have covered that pyroptosis plays a critical role in CHD. In this review, we describe the properties of pyroptosis, summarize its contribution and related targets to diseases involving angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia in perfusion injury and heart failure, and highlight potential drugs for different heart diseases.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (dCM) is a major complication of diabetes; however, specific treatments for dCM are currently lacking. RTA 408, a semisynthetic triterpenoid, has shown therapeutic potential against various diseases by activating the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway. We established in vitro and in vivo models using high glucose toxicity and db / db mice, respectively, to simulate dCM. Our results demonstrated that RTA 408 activated Nrf2 and alleviated various dCM-related cardiac dysfunctions, both in vivo and in vitro. Additionally, it was found that silencing the Nrf2 gene eliminated the cardioprotective effect of RTA 408. RTA 408 ameliorated oxidative stress in dCM mice and high glucose-exposed H9C2 cells by activating Nrf2, inhibiting mitochondrial fission, exerting anti-inflammatory effects through the Nrf2/NF-κB axis, and ultimately suppressing apoptosis, thereby providing cardiac protection against dCM. These findings provide valuable insights for potential dCM treatments. NEW & NOTEWORTHY We demonstrated first that the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) activator RTA 408 has a protective effect against diabetic cardiomyopathy. We found that RTA 408 could stimulate the nuclear entry of Nrf2 protein, regulate the mitochondrial fission-fusion balance, and redistribute p65, which significantly alleviated the oxidative stress level in cardiomyocytes, thereby reducing apoptosis and inflammation, and protecting the systolic and diastolic functions of the heart.

Multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) emitters show great potentials for high color purity organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, the simultaneous realization of high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and high reverse intersystem crossing rate (k RISC ) is still a formidable challenge. Herein, a novel asymmetric MR-TADF emitter (2Cz-PTZ-BN) is designed that fully inherits the high PLQY and large k RISC values of the properly selected parent molecules. The resonating extended π-skeleton with peripheral protection can achieve a high PLQY of 96 % and a fast k RISC of above 1.0×10 5  s -1 , and boost the performance of corresponding pure green devices with an outstanding external quantum efficiency (EQE) of up to 32.8 % without utilizing any sensitizing hosts. Remarkably, the device sufficiently maintains a high EQE exceeding 23 % at a high luminance of 1000 cd m -2 , representing the highest value for reported green MR-TADF materials at the same luminescence., (© 2022 Wiley-VCH GmbH.)
