This paper investigates the robust model predictive load frequency control problem for smart grids with wind power under cyber attacks. To accommodate intermittent power generation, the demand response of the system is considered by involving the air conditioning loads in the frequency regulation. In addition, the system uncertainties produced by the air conditioning load users and wind turbines when replacing traditional generator sets are considered. By using the cone complementary linearization algorithm and the linear matrix inequality technique, a resilience robust model predictive control strategy with mixed H2/H∞$H_2/H_\infty$ performance indexes is proposed. Furthermore, a rigorous derivation of the recursive feasibility of robust model predictive control is given. Finally, the simulation results of the two‐area load frequency control scheme show that the proposed model predictive control strategy is capable of realizing the load frequency control of the multi‐area smart grid and is robust to the parameter uncertainties and frequency regulation of the system. This paper studies load frequency control (LFC) for networked power systems with limited communications and probabilistic cyber attacks. Some restrictions exist during the information transmission, which can impair behavior and lead to instability of power systems. Throughout this paper, we consider such power systems that involve multi-path missing measurements and input–output time-varying delays as well as cyber attacks in the communication channels. A feedback controller is presented, which is based on the observer to implement H ∞ LFC for power systems with disturbance rejection level γ. By Lyapunov stability theory, adequate criteria are given to ensure the stable operation of power systems. The problem of finite-time filtering for nonlinear Markovian jump systems subject to extended dissipativity with unknown transition rates and time-varying delays is investigated in this paper. Firstly, by constructing novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and utilizing delay partitioning method, the error system is proved to be stochastically finite-time bounded and extended dissipative. Secondly, in virtue of linear matrix inequalities approach, the desired mode-dependent filter is obtained. The issue of the reliable exponential H∞ filtering (HF) is revisited for singular Markovian jump time‐delay systems (SMJTSs) accompanied by sensor failures and interval time‐varying delays. By a new mode‐dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) containing three augmented nonintegral terms, some mean‐square exponentially admissible (MSEA) conditions satisfying an H∞ performance are derived subject to state decomposition method. On this basis, a novel reliable filter design approach is first proposed for SMJTSs by means of the idea of the state decomposition and recombining. And the filter parameters we want can be obtained. Worth noting that the results presented are not only related to interval time‐varying delay and sensor failure but also to interval delay‐change‐rate. Meanwhile, the sufficient conditions established have less conservatism and lower computational complexity in comparison with the existing results.
