This review systematically evaluates the research and applications of metal mesh‐based catalysts for CO oxidation. CO is a hazardous gas that affects human health and the environment. Traditional cordierite‐based catalysts have drawbacks such as complex preparation, high costs, poor stability, and limited catalytic activity, necessitating exploration of alternative solutions. Monolithic metal mesh‐based catalysts, using metal substrates like Ti, Cu, Fe, FeCrAl, stainless steel, Al and Ni, could address these problems effectively. Generally, each metal mesh requires specific pretreatments to roughen surface and facilitate the loading of active species. Plasma electrolytic oxidation is particularly effective for Ti and Al mesh. This results in a monolithic metal mesh‐based catalyst with uniform surface distribution and fully exposed active species. The review also summarizes in‐situ preparation strategies for metal mesh‐based catalysts and their progress in CO oxidation. Finally, the development potential of metal mesh‐based catalysts is discussed, emphasizing the significant challenges and future prospects for industrial applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Developing an efficient catalyst is the key to selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx by CO (CO‐SCR) to simultaneously address the pollution of toxic NOx and CO. Herein, a novel Rh/TiO2/Ti monolithic catalyst is designed and synthesized, featuring Rh species in the form of single atoms (Rh1) and clusters (Rhn). This catalyst overcomes the inhibitory effects of oxygen, achieving low‐temperature NO conversion. The investigation substantively contributes insights into the strategic manipulation of active metal components, emphasizing the potential of single‐atom/cluster catalysts to enhance efficiency. The Rh/TiO2/Ti catalyst has demonstrated exceptional catalytic efficacy, achieving 100% NO conversion at a low temperature of 190 °C in the presence of oxygen. Additionally, it exhibits remarkable stability and water resistance for practical applications. Moreover, comprehensive characterization confirms that Rh clusters and single‐atom sites play an important role in the selective adsorption of NO and CO molecules, promoting the formation of –N2O species and ultimately resulting in the complete conversion of NO and CO to N2 and CO2. This study not only provides valuable guidance for designing high‐performance CO‐SCR catalysts but also underscores the potential of single atoms/clusters catalytic systems in both fundamental research and industrial catalysis. Magnéli phase titanium suboxides (M‐TSOs) belong to a type of sub‐stoichiometric titanium oxides based on the crystal structure of rutile TiO2. They possess a unique shear structure, granting them exceptional electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. These two advantages are crucial for electrode materials in electrochemistry, hence the significant interest from numerous researchers. However, the preparation of M‐TSOs is uneconomic due to high temperature reduction and other complex synthesis process, thus limiting their practical application in electrochemical fields. This review delves into the crystal structure, properties, and synthesis methods of M‐TSOs, and touches on their applications as electrocatalysts in wastewater treatment and electrochemical water splitting. Two-dimensional (2D) InZnO (IZO) is a typical and potential transparent conductive oxide for next-generation flexible transparent electronic displays due to its high flexibility, transparency, and high mobility characteristics. In this study, a liquid metal printing method is proposed to prepare atomically thin 2D IZO with controllable composition. Unlike the oxidation process where In dominates the surface oxidation in the liquid In–Sn alloy, the surface oxidation process of the liquid In–Zn alloy is dominated by Zn. Furthermore, the oxidation behavior displays clear characteristics of both competitive and synergistic oxidation. This unique feature allows precise control of the ZnO content in 2D In2O3, with Zn content in the film adjustable from 4 at% to 82 at%. Additionally, despite the incorporation of Zn, the film maintains a visible light transmittance of over 99%. As the Zn content in the 2D IZO film increases, the current on/off ratio of the transistor initially decreases and then increases, reaching a maximum of 104, while the field-effect mobility consistently improves. After covering the 2D IZO back channel with 2D Ga2O3, a significant enhancement of field-effect mobility is further achieved due to the interface modulation. The findings of this study provide new insights into the oxidation behavior of indium-based liquid alloys and present a novel route for synthesizing 2D IZO thin-film semiconductor materials with varied compositions. Monolithic plate‐type photocatalyst with excellent light absorption, abundant active sites and strong mechanical adhesion is the growing trend of photocatalysis application, as referring to a photovoltaic panel. In this study, we report a large‐scale Pt/N−TiO2/Ti photocatalytic plate with granular and mesoporous structure, which shows a superior photocatalytic performance and adhesion than nanowires and nanosheets photocatalysts. The outstanding photocatalytic performance of Pt/N−TiO2/Ti is attributed to the large exposed surface area, enhanced light absorption, high separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers and excellent surface activity induced by single Pt atom cocatalyst. The best Pt/N−TiO2/Ti sample could exhibit an outstanding photocatalytic hydrogen production activity of 72547.9 μmol ⋅ h−1 ⋅ g−1, and a high apparent quantum efficiency of 47.07 % under a 350 nm light irradiation. It can be anticipated that the proposed method and insights would pave a solid way on the development and application of superior TiO2 based photocatalytic plate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work, we report the design and fabrication of flexible Ti mesh-supported MnOx–CuOx/TiO2 nanosheet monolithic catalysts for NH3–SCR in low temperature, which demonstrates considerable wide-temperature window and high N2 selectivity. The flexible Ti mesh-supported MnOx–CuOx/TiO2 nanosheet monolithic catalysts can achieve approximately 100% conversion of NOx with high N2 selectivity in the wide range of 145–300 °C and remarkable water resistance as well as long-term stability. This remarkable catalytic performance observed can be ascribed to the elevated specific surface area, robust synergistic interactions with Mn and Cu species, and substantial generation of Mn4+ and Cu2+. This work may provide more opportunities for practical applications of flexible Cu–Mn-based catalysts in diverse fields far beyond NH3–SCR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this innovative work, a series of CuO/TiO2/Ti monolithic catalysts were successfully synthesized using a scalable multistep method involving plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) and hydrothermal processes. The results revealed that the growth of CuO nanostructures can be controlled by varying the hydrothermal time. Specifically, the CuO/TiO2/Ti monolithic catalyst, obtained through a 1 h hydrothermal reaction (HR1), resulted in fine particle size, good dispersion, large specific surface area, especially sufficient Cu+ active sites, high oxygen vacancy concentration, and excellent redox ability. These attributes collectively ensured the efficient catalytic CO oxidation activity of the prepared catalysts. Moreover, the as-synthesized HR1 catalyst exhibited a remarkable ability to achieve 100% conversion at ∼107 °C, indicating enormous potential as a substitute for conventional noble metal catalysts. Furthermore, this study elucidates that the CO, adsorbed on the Cu+ sites, is oxidized by the lattice oxygen of CuO. The O2 present in the feed gas plays a crucial role in replenishing the oxygen vacancies created during this process, thereby facilitating efficient recycling of the catalytic reaction. The presented mechanism analysis of CuO/TiO2/Ti monolithic catalysts for low-temperature CO oxidation provides a theoretical basis for the design of catalysts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
