This study examines the factors influencing the decision to outsource logistics services of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Cronbach’s Alpha test, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling were employed to analyze data collected from 204 Vietnamese SMEs in the export of agricultural products, seafood, and textile industries. The results show that the motivation to reduce costs and the characteristics of service providers have the most significant impact on these enterprises’ decisions to outsource logistics services. Moreover, outsourcing strategy also affects logistics outsourcing decisions. Based on the results, this study provides recommendations for logistics service providers to attract customers and advise SMEs on the decision-making process to outsource or operate logistics activities themselves.

The article mentions changes in concept of Southern Khmer marriage from 1980s to present in the aspects of conception, marriage rules, the right to decide on marriage, criteria for choosing a partner, the registration of marriage and divorce. This change has not lost the traditional values of the ethnic group but has had an impact on traditional culture in both positive and negative directions. On the positive side, the change gradually increases the voluntary marriages, reduces the inbreeding, the child marriage in ethnic minority areas, as well as increases the solidarity, the harmony between ethnic groups, and also enriches the traditional culture of the ethnic group,. . . . On the other hand, the marriage of the Khmer people today also meets current unavoidable inadequacies. Specifically, some new cultural features are not suitable for the Khmer to absorb from outside into marriage such as new concepts of chastity, pre-marital sex, pre-marital cohabitation, separation and divorce inherently brings negative effects on social life.

With the exponential growth of facial authentications, the face anti-spoofing area has come to play an indispensable role as a shield, protecting those systems against facial impostures. However, because most current anti-spoofing technologies work with type-specific supervision, they are only effective in their respective spoof types, which means they are unlikely to prove robust for unidentified attack forms that are beyond their predefined supervised limitations. With this point in mind, we herein propose a novel Adversarial Distribution Generative Network (ADGN) that extends its spatial attention to a comprehensive global context, thus extensively raising the level of generality for unknown cases that inherently provide few or even no clues with which to learn. In this paper, we are more in favor of speculating on 3D mask attacks, where a great scarcity of prior knowledge is virtually inevitable due to their prohibitive costs. We also demonstrate the resilience of our proposed model and test it against publicly available datasets on both seen and unseen spoof scenarios. This intends to show how our model provides competitive detecting performance against a wide range of spoof types in comparison with previous state-of-the-art methods.

What determines the success and effectiveness of leadership in schools? In the process of managing administrative and educational activities, the leadership effectiveness of school leaders is greatly influenced by a combined set of factors, possibly from leadership competencies and styles as well as local and global socio-economic landscape, latest advancements of science and technology, school culture, and change in modern leadership and management practices, etc. Based on extant literature review of rigorous studies on school leadership as the main methodology adoption, the present paper purposefully seeks to propose a theoretical model of school leadership effectiveness through investigating a network of relationships amongst leadership competencies, leadership styles, external and internal factors, and leadership effectiveness for global K-12 schools. Ultimately, the proposed model has both theoretical and managerial implications. Accordingly, an insight into the nature of these relationships will first expand the existing literature in school leadership and then activate school leader self-efficacy to enrich themselves with standout knowledge, skills, and qualities in the industry and simultaneously tailor their leadership styles to specific educational practices towards change and innovation to optimize leadership effectiveness.

This study presents how to improve the short-term forecast of photovoltaic plant's output power by applying the Long Short-Term Memory, LSTM, neural networks for industrial-scale solar power plants in Vietnam under possible curtailment operation. Since the actual output power does not correspond to the available power, new techniques (Global Horizontal Irradiance - GHI interval division, P/GHI factor addition (P - Power)) have been designed and applied for processing errors and missing data. The prediction model (LSTM network, structure of hidden layers, number of nodes) has been developed by the authors in a previous work. In this new version of the model, the training technique is improved by using validation and experiments to determine the appropriate relevant parameters. The forecast results show that the proposed new method is more efficient than the old method, as the MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) forecast error is reduced by 6.059% and the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) is reduced by 6.710%.

The photoswitching poly(pyrene-1-ylmethyl-methacrylate-random-methyl methacrylate-random-methacrylate spirooxazine) was synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization and characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The obtained copolymer exhibited the capability of erasable and rewritable photoimaging, making it a potential candidate for optical data storage materials. Moreover, the copolymer also showed the sensing ability for cyanide anions effect in aqueous solutions.

This paper focuses on determining the factors influencing investors' risk-taking through empirical evidence from Vietnam. This study investigates risk perception, expected return and herding behavior, and other determinants such as historical volatility and subjective financial risk attitude; according to previous studies, these are the main components affecting risk-taking behavior among investors. Overconfidence (better than average, miscalibration, and excessive optimism) is also taken into consideration. We employ pooled-OLS and quantile regression to overcome the shortage of research models in this field. In addition, we demonstrate how risk-taking behavior can be affected by those factors with the application of measures across four different investment channels. This study suggests implications for investors who wish to control risk.
