Based on the broadcast ephemeris of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) uploaded from the ground, an orbital-based terrestrial reference frame (TRF) can be produced in consistence with the ground-based TRF. High-precision inter-satellite link (ISL) ranging technology makes satellite autonomous orbit determination (AOD) possible. Therefore, if the broadcast ephemeris cannot be uploaded, the GNSS satellites can independently maintain the accuracy of the orbital-based TRF. In this paper, orbital-based TRF realized by the autonomous orbit determination (AOD) based on BDS-3 ISL measurements is compared with the ITRF2014. The accuracy of the orbital-based TRF realized by the AOD is evaluated. The comparison between the AOD orbits and the post-processed precise orbits over 60 days via the 7 parameters Helmert transformation shows that the maximum differences of the three-axis translation between the orbital-based TRF and ITRF2014 are 1.25 m, 1.32 m and 0.47 m, and the maximum difference of the scale is 6.2 ppb. The differences of the three-axis rotation parameters between the orbital-based TRF and ITRF2014 are related to whether the orientation correction method is applied. Since the long-term orbit prediction (OP) generated by the orbit dynamics models can predict the right ascension of the ascending node (RAAN) and the inclination accurately in Geocentric Celestial Reference System (GCRS), in the orientation correction method, the long-term OP is used as the reference to constrain the rotation differences. If the orientation correction method is not applied, the maximum differences of the three-axis rotation parameters are 65.0 mas, 77.1 mas, 122.5 mas; however, if the orientation correction method is applied, the maximum differences of the three-axis rotation parameters are reduced to 32.5 mas, 46.9 mas and 67.1 mas. Part of the residual rotation differences are caused by the prediction errors of the rapid Earth rotation parameters (ERPs) from International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IERS) bulletin A. Over 60 days, the differences between the rapid ERPs from IERS bulletin A and the final estimated ERPs from IERS bulletin B are equal to 2.56 mas, 15.03 mas and 84.12 mas in X, Y, Z axis, respectively. The influence of the orbit prediction accuracy on the orbit-based TRF based on the AOD method is also analyzed. If precise satellite orbits with an accuracy of 0.10 m are applied as long-term orbit prediction, the accuracy of the orbital TRF is improved significantly. During 60 days, the maximum differences of the three-axis translation are reduced to 0.10 m, 0.10 m, and 0.12 m, the maximum differences of the three-axis rotation are reduced to 3.03 mas, 3.47 mas, and 4.94 mas, and the maximum difference of the scale is reduced to 1–2 ppb. In this study, two "on–off" probes (BF2-cur-Ben and BF2-cur-But) recognizing acetylcholinesterase (AChE) were designed and synthesized. The obtained probes can achieve recognition of AChE with good selectivity and pH-independence with a linear range of 0.5~7 U/mL and 0.5~25 U/mL respectively. BF2-cur-Ben has a lower limit of detection (LOD) (0.031 U/mL), higher enzyme affinity (Km = 16 ± 1.6 μM), and higher inhibitor sensitivity. A responsive mechanism of the probes for AChE was proposed based on HPLC and mass spectra (MS) experiments, as well as calculations. In molecular simulation, BF2-cur-Ben forms more hydrogen bonds (seven, while BF2-cur-But has only four) and thus has a more stable enzyme affinity, which is mirrored by the results of the comparison of Km values. These two probes could enable recognition of intracellular AChE and probe BF2-cur-Ben has superior cell membrane penetration due to its higher log p value. These probes can monitor the overexpression of AChE during apoptosis of lung cancer cells. The ability of BF2-cur-Ben to monitor AChE in vivo was confirmed by a zebrafish experiment. Timely case notifications following the introduction of an uncommon pathogen, such as mpox, are critical for understanding disease transmission and for developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies. When Massachusetts public health officials notified the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about a confirmed orthopoxvirus case on May 17, 2023, which was later confirmed as mpox at CDC, mpox was not a nationally notifiable disease. Because existing processes for new data collections through the National Notifiable Disease Surveillance System were not well suited for implementation during emergency responses at the time of the mpox outbreak, several interim notification approaches were established to capture case data. These interim approaches were successful in generating daily case counts, monitoring disease transmission, and identifying high-risk populations. However, the approaches also required several data collection approvals by the federal government and the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists, the use of four different case report forms, and the establishment of complex data management and validation processes involving data element mapping and record-level de-duplication steps. We summarize lessons learned from these interim approaches to inform and improve case notifications during future outbreaks. These lessons reinforce CDC's Data Modernization Initiative to work in close collaboration with state, territorial, and local public health departments to strengthen case-based surveillance prior to the next public health emergency. Objective Tumor is a major public health problem harmful to people's health. Cell copper death provides a new idea for the basic research of tumor. This paper reviews the latest progress of cell copper death in the field of tumor prevention and treatment. Methods The literatures related to copper death in tumor prevention and treatment were summarized, and the research status of copper death related genes in different types of tumors was reviewed. Results Ferredoxin 1 (FDXl), lipoic acid synthase (LIAS), dihydro lipocyte answers (DLAT), and dihydro lipoamide S-succinyl transferase (DLST) were the key regulatory genes of copper death, which were abnormally expressed in lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and breast cancer. Among them, the low expression of FDXl in tumor patients was related to the poor prognosis of the disease, while the overall survival time of cancer patients with high expression of DLA T and DLST genes was decreased. In addition, targeting copper death protein and promoting cell copper death inhibited the proliferation of cancer cells in vivo and in vitro. Conclusion Several genes related to copper death, such as FDXl, LIAS, DLAT, and DLST, are abnormally expressed in cancer patients and are related to the occurrence, development, metastasis, and prognosis of the tumor. Targeted promotion of cell copper death and inhibition of cancer cell proliferation provide a new direction for future basic research in the field of tumor, which has public health significance for tumor prevention and treatment. Knowledge of protein expression in mammalian brains at regional and cellular levels can facilitate understanding of protein functions and associated diseases. As the mouse brain is a typical mammalian brain considering cell type and structure, several studies have been conducted to analyze protein expression in mouse brains. However, labeling protein expression using biotechnology is costly and time-consuming. Therefore, automated models that can accurately recognize protein expression are needed. Here, we constructed machine learning models to automatically annotate the protein expression intensity and cellular location in different mouse brain regions from immunofluorescence images. The brain regions and sub-regions were segmented through learning image features using an autoencoder and then performing K-means clustering and registration to align with the anatomical references. The protein expression intensities for those segmented structures were computed on the basis of the statistics of the image pixels, and patch-based weakly supervised methods and multi-instance learning were used to classify the cellular locations. Results demonstrated that the models achieved high accuracy in the expression intensity estimation, and the F1 score of the cellular location prediction was 74.5%. Compared to the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) climate models, the Antarctic sea ice area (SIA) has been improved in Phase 6 (CMIP6). However, the lack of knowledge about the reliability of sea ice dynamic and thermodynamic processes in the CMIP6 models still limits the accuracy of Antarctic sea ice projections. Here, by using a novel and systematic statistical metric, the performance of CMIP5 and CMIP6 models with near‐realistic SIAs was assessed. We found improvements in CMIP6 models relative to CMIP5. Moreover, forcing the sea ice‐ocean model with atmospheric reanalysis led to excessive ice convergence compared to the fully coupled ocean‐sea ice‐atmosphere model, although the SIA bias could be much smaller. This prevalent insufficient ice divergence in the models is highly correlated with the negative ice thickness bias, highlighting the importance of ice thickness in the correct simulation of sea ice dynamics. Plain Language Summary: Current state‐of‐the‐art climate models do not reproduce the total area of Antarctic sea ice and its trends as observed. This impedes the use of climate models to understand changes in Antarctic sea ice over the past decades and to project its future. Separating how much of the simulated sea ice change is due to freezing and melting, and how much is due to ice transport allows us to identify physical causes for model biases, which helps us to optimize models. We examined the climate models that have simulated near‐realistic sea ice areas between 1991 and 2009 and found significant improvements in their simulation of sea ice processes in the latest generation of models compared to the previous generation, although there is still much room for further improvement. As sea ice thickness and velocity interact, a key limitation of the state‐of‐the‐art Antarctic sea ice simulation may stem from the general underestimation of ice thickness. This could be a critical issue to be targeted on the way toward increasingly skillful climate projections. Atmospheric reanalyses are valuable datasets for driving ocean–sea ice general circulation models and for proposing multidecadal reconstructions of the ocean–sea ice system in polar regions. However, these reanalyses exhibit biases in these regions. It was previously found that the representation of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice in models participating in the Ocean Model Intercomparison Project Phase 2 (OMIP2, using the updated Japanese 55-year atmospheric reanalysis, JRA55-do) was significantly more realistic than in OMIP1 (forced by the atmospheric state from the Coordinated Ocean-ice Reference Experiments version 2, CORE-II). To understand why, we study the sea ice concentration budget and its relations to surface heat and momentum fluxes as well as the connections between the simulated ice drift and the ice concentration, the ice thickness and the wind stress in a subset of three models (CMCC-CM2-SR5, MRI-ESM2-0 and NorESM2-LM). These three models are representative of the ensemble and are the only ones to provide the surface fluxes and the tendencies of ice concentrations attributed to dynamic and thermodynamic processes required for the ice concentration budget analysis. The sea ice simulations of two other models (EC-Earth3 and MIROC6) forced by both CORE-II and JRA55-do reanalysis are also included in the analysis. It is found that negative summer biases in high-ice-concentration regions and positive biases in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago (CAA) and central Weddell Sea (CWS) regions are reduced from OMIP1 to OMIP2 due to surface heat flux changes. Net shortwave radiation fluxes provide key improvements in the Arctic interior, CAA and CWS regions. There is also an influence of improved surface wind stress in OMIP2 giving better winter Antarctic ice concentration and the Arctic ice drift magnitude simulations near the ice edge. The ice velocity direction simulations in the Beaufort Gyre and the Pacific and Atlantic sectors of the Southern Ocean in OMIP2 are also improved owing to surface wind stress changes. This study provides clues on how improved atmospheric reanalysis products influence sea ice simulations. Background: Abnormal miRNA and mRNA expression and dysregulated immune microenvironment have been found to frequently induce the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in recent reports. In particular, the immune-related competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) mechanism plays a crucial role in HCC progression. However, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Methods: Differentially expressed immune-related genes were obtained from the Immport, GEO, and TCGA databases. The mRNA and protein expression levels in HCC tissues and adjacent normal tissues were confirmed, and we further investigated the methylation levels of these biomarkers to explore their function. Then, the TIMER and TISCH databases were used to assess the relationship between immune infiltration and hub genes. Survival analysis and univariate and multivariate Cox models were used to evaluate the association between hub genes and HCC diagnosis. Hub gene expression was experimentally validated in six HCC cell lines and 15 HCC samples using qRT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. The hub genes were uploaded to DSigDB for drug prediction enrichment analysis. Results: We identified that patients with abnormal miRNAs (hsa-miR-125b-5p and hsa-miR-21-5p) and their targeted genes (NTF3, PSMD14, CD320, and SORT1) had a worse prognosis. Methylation analysis of miRNA-targeted genes suggested that alteration of methylation levels is also a factor in the induction of tumorigenesis. We also found that the development of HCC progression caused by miRNA-mRNA interactions may be closely correlated with the infiltration of immunocytes. Moreover, the GSEA, GO, and KEGG analysis suggested that several common immune-related biological processes and pathways were related to miRNA-targeted genes. The results of qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting were consistent with our bioinformatics results, suggesting that abnormal miRNAs and their targeted genes may affect HCC progression. Conclusions: Briefly, our study systematically describes the mechanisms of miRNA-mRNA interactions in HCC and predicts promising biomarkers that are associated with immune filtration for HCC progression. The study investigated the effects of dietary sodium butyrate (SB) on the growth performance, nutrient utilization, intestinal histology, and microbiota of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). A high fishmeal diet and a low fishmeal diet were formulated to contain 200 g/kg or 100 g/kg fishmeal, respectively. Coated SB (50%) was supplemented to each of the diets at levels of 0, 1.0, and 2.0 g/kg to create 6 diets. The diets were fed to rainbow trout with initial body weight of 29.9 ± 0.2 g for 8 weeks. Compared to the high fishmeal group, the low fishmeal group showed significantly lower weight gain (WG), intestine muscle thickness, and significantly higher feed conversion ratio (FCR) and amylase activity (P < 0.05). The supplementation of SB in high or low fishmeal diet did not significantly affect the WG, FCR, protein retention, and the digestibility of dry matter and crude protein (P > 0.05). The supplementation of 2.0 g/kg SB in low fishmeal diet significantly increased the villus height, villus width, and muscular thickness, while the supplementation of 2.0 g/kg SB in high fishmeal diet also significantly increased the intestinal villus height (P < 0.05). In intestinal microbiota, the supplementation of 2.0 g/kg SB significantly increased the abundance of Proteobacteria and Aeromonas, and decreased the abundance of Firmicutes and Mycoplasma (P < 0.05), but the flora at genus and phylum level were not affected by SB supplementation in low fishmeal diet (P > 0.05). In conclusion, the addition of SB in diets containing 100 or 200 g/kg fishmeal did not enhance the growth performance and nutrient utilization of rainbow trout, but improved intestinal morphology and changed intestinal microbial flora. With the improvement of single-cell measurement techniques, there is a growing awareness that individual differences exist among cells, and protein expression distribution can vary across cells in the same tissue or cell line. Pinpointing the protein subcellular locations in single cells is crucial for mapping functional specificity of proteins and studying related diseases. Currently, research about single-cell protein location is still in its infancy, and most studies and databases do not annotate proteins at the cell level. For example, in the human protein atlas database, an immunofluorescence image stained for a particular protein shows multiple cells, but the subcellular location annotation is for the whole image, ignoring intercellular difference. In this study, we used large-scale immunofluorescence images and image-level subcellular locations to develop a deep-learning-based pipeline that could accurately recognize protein localizations in single cells. The pipeline consisted of two deep learning models, i.e. an image-based model and a cell-based model. The former used a multi-instance learning framework to comprehensively model protein distribution in multiple cells in each image, and could give both image-level and cell-level predictions. The latter firstly used clustering and heuristics algorithms to assign pseudo-labels of subcellular locations to the segmented cell images, and then used the pseudo-labels to train a classification model. Finally, the image-based model was fused with the cell-based model at the decision level to obtain the final ensemble model for single-cell prediction. Printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells (p‐MPSCs) show great potential for commercialization, but little research has been devoted to understanding the dynamics of photogenerated carriers in this type of cell, limiting their further performance improvements. Herein, two techniques with complementary time scales were used, namely transient absorption spectroscopy (TAS) and time‐resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy (TRPL), to quantify the processes of carrier recombination, diffusion, and extraction in p‐MPSCs. It is found that the carrier diffusion in mesoscopic samples should not be neglected at the time scale monitored by TRPL, and thus the diffusion‐recombination model is more suitable compared to the simplified carrier recombination model usually used in interpreting the data of TAS and TRPL. As a result, the calculated carrier diffusion length within the perovskite filled in the mesoscopic scaffold is up to 5.48 µm. This also demonstrates that the hole transport layer is not necessary for p‐MPSCs. In addition, the relationship between the maximum quasi‐Fermi energy level splitting and the bulk recombination coefficient within perovskite is determined through calculations. Background: Though circular RNAs (circRNAs) are the key regulators in tumor carcinogenesis, they remain largely unexplored in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: The expression of RanGAP1-derived circRNAs (circ_0063531, circ_0063534, circ_0063513, circ_0063518, circ_0063507, circ_0063723) were evaluated in eight paired HCC and normal tissues, and the correlation between circRanGAP1 (circ_0063531) expression and clinicopathological characteristics in 40 HCC patients was determined. The association between miR-27b-3p and circRanGAP1 or NRAS was predicted using bioinformatics analysis. The expression of circRanGAP1, miR-27b-3p, and NRAS were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The potential oncogenic role of circ-RanGAP1 was assessed using CCK-8, colony formation, transwell assays in vitro, subcutaneous tumor mouse model, vein tail metastatic model, and orthotopically implanted intrahepatic HCC model in vivo. Luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays were used to explore the binding site between miR-27b-3p and circ-RanGAP1 or NRAS. Protein expression was detected using western blotting. The localization of miR-27b-3p and circ-RanGAP1 was investigated using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). The level of immune infiltration was assessed by bioinformatics analysis, flow cytometry, and orthotopically implanted intrahepatic HCC models. Results: Here, we found elevated circRanGAP1 in the cells and clinical tissues of patients with HCC. Increased circRanGAP1 levels are associated with enlarged tumors and the advanced stage of TNM. CircRanGAP1 promotes the growth, migration, and HCC cell invasion, concurrently with the growth and metastasis of tumors in-vivo. Moreover, circRanGAP1 is mainly located inside the cytoplasm. Mechanistically, circRanGAP1 as an oncogene promotes HCC progression by miR-27b-3p/NRAS/ERK axis, furthermore, affects the infiltration level of tumor-associated macrophages probably by sponging miR-27b-3p. Immune infiltration analysis shows that NRAS is positively correlated with the levels of CD68+ tumor-associated macrophages in HCC samples and that NRAS and CD68 are related to the poor outcome of HCC. Conclusion: These results reveal that circRanGAP1 is a HCC oncogene that function by the miR-27b-3p/NRAS/ERK axis and regulates the infiltration levels of tumor-associated macrophages by sponging miR-27b-3p. Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most malignant tumors to threaten human life, and the survival rate remains low due to delayed diagnosis. Meanwhile, lncRNAs have great potential for application in tumor prognosis, therefore relevant research in hepatocellular carcinoma is indispensable.Methods: Based on the EZH2 expression, the differentially expressed lncRNAs DElncRNAs), miRNAs (DEmiRNAs), and mRNAs (DEmRNAs) were identified in hepatocellular carcinoma by using the TCGA database. Bioinformatics technology was utilized to determine the effect of key genes in HCC progression. The methylation and immune infiltration analyses were performed to explore the underlying function of hub genes. Finally, cellular function experiments were performed to investigate the association between identified genes and biological phenotypes in HCC.Results: lncRNA-AC079061.1, hsa-miR-765, and VIPR1 were identified as independent factors that affect the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. The immune infiltration analyses revealed that lncRNA-AC079061.1 can alter the immune microenvironment and thus inhibit the development of HCC by regulating the expression of an immune-related gene (VIPR1). Methylation analyses demonstrated that VIPR1 expression is negatively related to the methylation level in HCC. Experimental results suggested that lncRNA-AC079061.1 and VIPR1 were frequently downregulated in HCC cells, while hsa-miR-765 was significantly upregulated. Moreover, the lncRNA-AC079061.1/VIPR1 axis suppressed the proliferation and invasion of HCC cells.Conclusion: The present study identified the lncRNA-AC079061.1/VIPR1 axis as a novel biomarker that inhibited the proliferation and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma, affecting the ultimate disease outcome. Background: The potential advantage of laparoscopic gastrectomy (LG) compared with open gastrectomy (OG) for serosa-invasive (pT4a) Siewert type II and III adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) remains uncertain. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the short- and long-term outcomes of LG compared to OG for pT4a Siewert type II/III AEG cancers. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 283 patients with pathological confirmed T4a Siewert type II and type III AEG who underwent LG or OG in our center between January 2004 and September 2015. The short- and long-term outcomes were compared between the groups using a 1:1 matched propensity score matching method (PSM). Results: The LG group had a longer operation time, less estimated blood loss, less time to first flatus, less time to start liquid diet, less time to first ambulation, and shorter length of incision than the OG group. The conversion rates were 5.4% in the LG groups. There was no significant difference in the overall complication rate between the LG and OG groups. The 5-year overall survival (OS) and the 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) were comparable between the LG and OG groups (35.4% vs 32.1%, p = 0.541; 34.1% vs 31.0%, p = 0.523, respectively). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate and pattern between the LG and OG groups. Conclusions: Laparoscopic gastrectomy is associated with better short-term outcomes and similar long-term outcomes for pT4a Siewert type II/III AEG. Dysregulation of covalently closed circular RNAs (circRNAs) has been associated with neurological disorders, the role of circHIVP2 in Parkinson's disease (PD) and its molecular mechanism is not well understood. 127 patients with PD and 85 healthy people were enrolled. RT-qPCR was employed to examine the levels of circHIVEP2. ROC curve to explore the diagnostic. Mpp+ induced the SH-SY5Y to construct an in vitro PD cell model. Cell viability, apoptosis, and secretion levels of inflammatory factors were analyzed by CCK-8, flow cytometry, and ELISA assay. CircHIVEP2 targets miRNA predicted by bioinformatics database and validated by the dual luciferase reporter and RIP assays. CircHIVEP2 was typically lower in PD patients than in controls. CircHIVEP2 has certain specificity and sensitivity to recognize PD patients from healthy individuals. miR-485-3p, a target miRNA of circHIVEP2, was significantly elevated in PD patients. Additionally, MPP+ induction reduced cell viability and promoted apoptosis and inflammatory factor overproduction. Combined therapeutic strategies hold promises in augmenting antigen release to enhance anti-tumor immunity, which have garnered attention in numerous scholarly reviews. Beyond that, specific nanobiotechnologies aimed at enhancing immune potency have made substantial progress. However, there have no focused reviews on it yet. Herein, we comprehensively outlined the latest cutting-edge breakthroughs in anti-tumor immunity potentiation-enabled nanobiotechnologies, e.g., those capable of capturing neoantigens or immune cells and homing to lymph nodes. Especially, we underlined the design concepts and immune enhancement rationales of these cutting-edge nanobiotechnologies with a highlight on targeting or engineering various immune cells, organs, targets, singling pathway, physiological activity or process as well as other tumor-related targets to activate or boost immune response, immune infiltration, or mitigate immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Finally, we provided distinctive insights into the challenges faced by these strategies and the research direction of clinical translation, and also the potential solutions were provided. 3D printed navigational templates have facilitated the accurate treatment of orthopaedic patients. However, during practical operation, it is found that the location hole occasionally deviates from the ideal channel. As such, there will be a security risk in clinical applications. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of chemical-based sterilisation methods on the dimensional accuracy of different materials and the influence of module parameters on the degree of deformation. We found that polylactic (PLA) modules sterilised with ethylene oxide (EO) would undergo micro-deformation, and these micro-deformation characteristics depend on the building direction, i.e., the module stretches in the Z direction and shrinks in the X and Y directions. Heat-resisting polylactide (HR-PLA) has the same melting temperature (Tm) as PLA, but its glass transition temperature (Tg) is greater than the EO sterilisation temperature, so there is no obvious deformation after EO sterilisation. The layer height of the module were inversely proportional to the degree of deformation in the same sterilisation method. The deformation time of the module is concentrated within 2 h after heating. The development and application of metal nanoclusters (MNCs) in nucleic acid testing in the past 10 years have been summarized. Fluorescence enhancement and red shift can occur when the G-rich sequence gets close to Ag NCs or the complementary DNA strand hybridizes with Ag NCs tail strand, which can be used to identify the nucleic acid. Ag NCs with the abasic site in DNA duplex can distinguish mutant genes such as cancer suppression gene p53. Ag NCs with auxiliary DNA can be used to detect miR-21, miR-16-5p, miR-19b-3p, and miR-141. Cu NCs/Cu NPs can recognize miRNA-155, miR-21, and miR-let-7d without auxiliary DNA. Au NCs can identify H1N1 gene fragments by fluorescence quenching caused by proximity to the G-rich sequence. In this study, a lysosomal targeting fluorescent probe recognition on CEs was designed and synthesized. The obtained probe BF 2 -cur-Mor demonstrated excellent selectivity, sensitivity, pH-independence, and enzyme affinity towards CEs within 5 min. BF 2 -cur-Mor could enable recognition of intracellular CEs and elucidate that the CEs content of different cancer cells follows the rule of HepG2 > HCT-116 > A549 > HeLa, and the CEs expression level of hepatoma cancer cells far exceeds that of normal hepatic cells, being in good agreement with the previous reports. The ability of BF 2 -cur-Mor to monitor CEs in vivo was confirmed by zebrafish experiment. Background: Lung cancer is one of the most lethal malignant tumors that endangers human health. Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) has increased dramatically in recent decades, accounting for nearly 40% of all lung cancer cases. Increasing evidence points to the importance of the competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) intrinsic mechanism in various human cancers. However, behavioral characteristics of the ceRNA network in lung adenocarcinoma need further study. Methods: Groups based on SLC2A1 expression were used in this study to identify associated ceRNA networks and potential prognostic markers in lung adenocarcinoma. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was used to obtain the patients' lncRNA, miRNA, and mRNA expression profiles, as well as clinical data. Informatics techniques were used to investigate the effect of hub genes on prognosis. The Cox regression analyses were performed to evaluate the prognostic effect of hub genes. The methylation, GSEA, and immune infiltration analyses were utilized to explore the potential mechanisms of the hub gene. The CCK-8, transwell, and colony formation assays were performed to detect the proliferation and invasion of lung cancer cells. Results: We eventually identified the ITGB1-DT/ARNTL2 axis as an independent fact may promote lung adenocarcinoma progression. Furthermore, methylation analysis revealed that hypo-methylation may cause the dysregulated ITGB1-DT/ARNTL2 axis, and immune infiltration analysis revealed that the ITGB1-DT/ARNTL2 axis may affect the immune microenvironment and the progression of lung adenocarcinoma. The CCK-8, transwell, and colonu formation assays suggested that ITGB1-DT/ARNTL2 promotes the progression of lung adenocarcinoma. And hsa-miR-30b-3p reversed the ITGB1/ARNTL2-mediated oncogenic processes. Citrate is one of the most important metabolites determining the flavour of citrus fruit. It has been reported that nitrogen supply may have an impact on acid level of fruit. Here, the relationship between nitrogen metabolism and citrate catabolism was studied in pumelo juice sacs. Differences in metabolites, gene expression and flux distributions were analyzed in juice sacs incubated in medium with and without NH 4 +. Compared with those incubated with NH 4 +, juice sacs under nitrogen deficiency exhibited enhanced flux through phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) and accelerated consumption of citrate, while the other two TCA cycle efflux points, through malic enzyme (ME) and glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH), were both repressed. Consistent with the estimated fluxes, the expression of PEPCK1 was upregulated under nitrogen deficiency, while that of GDH1 , GDH2 , NAD-ME1 and NADP-ME2 were all repressed. The Sea Ice Evaluation Tool (SITool) described in this paper is a performance metrics and diagnostics tool developed to evaluate the skill of Arctic and Antarctic model reconstructions of sea ice concentration, extent, edge location, drift, thickness, and snow depth. It is a Python-based software and consists of well-documented functions used to derive various sea ice metrics and diagnostics. Here, SITool version 1.0 (v1.0) is introduced and documented, and is then used to evaluate the performance of global sea ice reconstructions from nine models that provided sea ice output under the experimental protocols of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6 (CMIP6) Ocean Model Intercomparison Project with two different atmospheric forcing datasets: the Coordinated Ocean-ice Reference Experiments version 2 (CORE-II) and the updated Japanese 55-year atmospheric reanalysis (JRA55-do). Two sets of observational references for the sea ice concentration, thickness, snow depth, and ice drift are systematically used to reflect the impact of observational uncertainty on model performance. Based on available model outputs and observational references, the ice concentration, extent, and edge location during 1980–2007, as well as the ice thickness, snow depth, and ice drift during 2003–2007 are evaluated. In general, model biases are larger than observational uncertainties, and model performance is primarily consistent compared to different observational references. By changing the atmospheric forcing from CORE-II to JRA55-do reanalysis data, the overall performance (mean state, interannual variability, and trend) of the simulated sea ice areal properties in both hemispheres, as well as the mean ice thickness simulation in the Antarctic, the mean snow depth, and ice drift simulations in both hemispheres are improved. The simulated sea ice areal properties are also improved in the model with higher spatial resolution. For the cross-metric analysis, there is no link between the performance in one variable and the performance in another. SITool is an open-access version-controlled software that can run on a wide range of CMIP6-compliant sea ice outputs. Due to individual deviations in tumor tissue uptake, the role of [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose ([18F]FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis is limited. β-Hydroxy β-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase degradation 1 (HRD1) plays a key role in clearing misfolded proteins. This study is aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of HRD1 in [18F]FDG uptake for the diagnosis of HCC. HRD1 expression level was detected using immunohistochemical (IHC) staining in 9 HCC patients. [18F]FDG PET/CT scans were conducted before treatment. [18F]FDG uptakes in HRD1 overexpressed and knockdown transgenic models were measured by γ-counter and microPET imaging. The GLUT1-HRD1 complex was examined by co-immunoprecipitation and IHC assays. GLUT1 expression in different cell lines, xenograft models and HCC patients was evaluated by Western blot and IHC assays. HRD1 was highly expressed in the HCC tumors of patients with low [18F]FDG uptake, while the HRD1 expression was obviously low in the higher [18F]FDG uptake group. Both in vitro and in vivo studies found that HRD1 significantly inhibited [18F]FDG uptake in HCC Huh7 cell lines and animal models. Furthermore, the co-location and interaction of HRD1 with GLUT1 were detected, and the results also indicate that HRD1 could induce the degradation of GLUT1 in vitro and in vivo. HRD1 inhibits the high uptake of [18F]FDG in HCC tumor cells by inducing degradation of GLUT1, which leads to decreased diagnostic efficiency of [18F]FDG PET imaging for HCC. This study suggests that HRD1 inhibits the high uptake of [18F]FDG in HCC tumor by inducing degradation of GLUT1. Background. This study was aimed at mining crucial long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs), and messenger RNAs (mRNAs) for the development of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) based on the coexpression and the competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) theories and investigating the underlying therapeutic drugs that may function by reversing the expression of lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs. Methods. RNA (GSE106724, GSE114419, GSE137684, and GSE138518) or miRNA (GSE84376 and GSE138572) expression profile datasets of PCOS patients were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. The weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA) using four RNA datasets was conducted to construct the lncRNA-mRNA coexpression networks, while the common differentially expressed miRNAs in two miRNA datasets and module RNAs were used to establish the ceRNA network. A protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was created to explore the potential interactions between genes. Gene Ontology and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses were performed to explore the functions of genes in networks. Connectivity Map (CMap) and Comparative Toxicogenomics Database (CTD) analyses were performed to identify potential therapeutic agents for PCOS. Results. Three modules (black, magenta, and yellow) were identified to be PCOS-related after WGCNA analysis, in which KLF3-AS1-PLCG2, MAPKAPK5-AS1-MAP3K14, and WWC2-AS2-TXNIP were important coexpression relationship pairs. WWC2-AS2-hsa-miR-382-PLCG2 was a crucial ceRNA loop in the ceRNA network. The PPI network showed that MAP3K14 and TXNIP could interact with hub genes PLK1 (degree = 21) and TLR1 (degree = 18), respectively. These genes were enriched into mitosis (PLK1), immune response (PLCG2 and TLR1), and cell cycle (TXNIP and PLK1) biological processes. Ten small molecule drugs (especially quercetin) were considered to be therapeutical for PCOS. Conclusion. Our study may provide a novel insight into the mechanisms and therapy for PCOS. BACKGROUND: The interest in plasma biomarkers has increased recently. Plasma exosome-derived microRNA-532 is aberrantly expressed in a variety of human cancers and has the prognostic value in many solid tumors. However, the prognostic impact of the expression value on AML remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to investigate the prognostic value of exosome-derived microRNA-532 in AML patients. METHODS: We performed the real-time PCR to quantify exosome-derived microRNA-532 in plasma of 198 AML patients. To assess the prognostic value, we performed Cox regression analyses in the context of well-established clinical and molecular markers. Cellular metabolic profile was conducted to help us understand the biological insight of its expression. RESULTS: The expression level was not associated with white blood cell counts, age, FAB subtypes, cytogenetic risk groups and genes of FLT3-ITD, NPM1, CEBPA and DNMT3A mutations. Interestingly, high expressers had a favorable overall survival in the univariate analysis. This prognostic value was testified in the multivariate analysis. Moreover, up-regulation of miR-532 was negatively associated with cellular energy like fructose and glutamine. Background: Sustained adrenergic signaling secondary to chronic stress promotes cancer progression; however, the underlying mechanisms for this phenomenon remain unclear. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) frequently develops within fibrotic livers rich in activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). Here, we examined whether the stress hormone norepinephrine (NE) could accelerate HCC progression by modulating HSCs activities. Methods: HCC cells were exposed to conditioned medium (CM) from NE-stimulated HSCs. The changes in cell migration and invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, parameters of cell proliferation, and levels of cancer stem cell markers were analyzed. Moreover, the in vivo tumor progression of HCC cells inoculated with HSCs was studied in nude mice subjected to chronic restraint stress. Results: CM from NE-treated HSCs significantly promoted cell migration and invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and expression of cell proliferation-related genes and cancer stem cell markers in HCC cells. These pro-tumoral effects were markedly reduced by depleting secreted frizzled related protein 1 (sFRP1) in CM. The pro-tumoral functions of sFRP1 were dependent on β-catenin activation, and sFRP1 augmented the binding of Wnt16B to its receptor FZD7, resulting in enhanced β-catenin activity. Additionally, sFRP1 enhanced Wnt16B expression, reinforcing an autocrine feedback loop of Wnt16B/β-catenin signaling. The expression of sFRP1 in HSCs promoted HCC progression in an in vivo model under chronic restraint stress, which was largely attenuated by sFRP1 knockdown. Conclusions: We identify a new mechanism by which chronic stress promotes HCC progression. In this model, NE activates HSCs to secrete sFRP1, which cooperates with a Wnt16B/β-catenin positive feedback loop. Background: Several studies have suggested that sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) involves a dose-response relationship and inadequate dosage might not achieve a favorable clinical effect. Objective: The aim of this prospective study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of increasing SLIT dosage at 6 months in patients with house dust mite-induced allergic rhinitis (AR) who had low response to treatment. Methods: A total of 157 AR participants aged 4–60 years were enrolled and received SLIT with Dermatophagoides farinae drops. After 6 months of SLIT, patients were interviewed and then classified into a high-response (HR) group and a low-response (LR) group based on the combined symptom and medication score (CSMS) reduction rate. Patients with a CSMS reduction rate over 50% were defined as HR and continued the original dose, while patients with a CSMS reduction rate ranging from 20 to 50% were defined as LR and received an increased dose (percentage of dosage increment, 33.33% for patients aged <14 years and 50% for patients aged ≥14 years). Patients with a CSMS reduction rate below 20% were considered nonresponse (NR) and recommended to withdraw from SLIT. CSMS, visual analog scale (VAS), and adverse events were assessed at 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 years during the 3-year treatment. Results: A total of 54 and 56 patients completed the treatment in the HR and LR groups, respectively. The CSMS and VAS of both groups decreased significantly at 6 months (p < 0.05). Significant differences between the two groups were found in CSMS and VAS at 6 months and 1 year (p < 0.05), but not in later follow-ups (p > 0.05). The improvement of adults in the LR group was significantly lower than that of children at 6 months (p < 0.05), but there was no difference in later follow-ups (p > 0.05). There was no difference in CSMS or VAS in patients with monosensitization and polysensitization in the same treatment group at 1 year and in subsequent visits (p> 0.05). Overall, 47 patients withdrew from this study due to NR (n = 22) and other reasons (n = 25). Conclusions: Six months might be a critical time point for efficacy assessment and dosage adjustment for AR patients after SLIT. Renpenning syndrome belongs to a group of X-linked intellectual disability disorders. The Renpenning syndrome- associated protein PQBP1 (polyglutamine-binding protein 1) is intrinsically disordered, associates with several splicing factors, and is involved in pre-mRNA splicing. PQBP1 uses its C-terminal YxxPxxVL motif for binding to the splicing factor TXNL4A (thioredoxin like 4A), but the biological function of this interaction has yet to be elucidated. In this study, using recombinant protein expression, in vitro binding assays, and immunofluorescence microscopy in HeLa cells, we found that a recently reported X-linked intellectual disability-associated missense mutation, resulting in the PQBP1-P244L variant, disrupts the interaction withTXNL4A. We further show that this interaction is critical for the subcellular location of TXNL4A. In combination with other PQBP1 variants lacking a functional nuclear localization signal required for recognition by the nuclear import receptor karyopherin β2, we demonstrate that PQBP1 facilitates the nuclear import of TXNL4A via a piggyback mechanism. These findings expand our understanding of the molecular basis of the PQBP1-TXNL4A interaction and of the etiology and pathogenesis of Renpenning syndrome and related disorders. The Southern Ocean (SO) surface wind stress is a major atmospheric forcing for driving the Antarctic Circumpolar Current and the global overturning circulation. Here the effects of wind fluctuations at different time scales on SO wind stress in 18 models from phase 5 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5) are investigated. It is found that including wind fluctuations, especially on time scales associated with synoptic storms, in the stress calculation strongly enhances the mean strength, modulates the seasonal cycle, and significantly amplifies the trends of SO wind stress. In 11 out of the 18 CMIP5 models, the SO wind stress has strengthened significantly over the period of 1960–2005. Among them, the strengthening trend of SO wind stress in one CMIP5 model is due to the increase in the intensity of wind fluctuations, while in all the other 10 models the strengthening trend is due to the increasing strength of the mean westerly wind. These discrepancies in SO wind stress trend in CMIP5 models may explain some of the diverging behaviors in the model-simulated SO circulation. Our results suggest that to reduce the uncertainty in SO responses to wind stress changes in the coupled models, both the mean wind and wind fluctuations need to be better simulated. The aim of the study was to compare the dose distributions of combined intracavitary and interstitial (IC/IS) brachytherapy with 3-catheter IC brachytherapy in treating locally advanced (stage IIB) cervical cancer. In total, 46 patients were included, each with stage IIB cervical cancer, local lesion sizes ≥5 cm, and tumors that had not regressed after 45 Gy/25 F external intensity-modulated radiotherapy. To identify the dosimetric advantage of delivering a local boost to high-risk (HR)-cervix in IC/IS, patients were divided into two groups: IC/IS and IC/IS + HR-cervix. The differences in dosimetric parameters were compared between the two groups. Comparisons were then made between the parameters of the four planning methods: IC (Point A), IC (three dimensional [3D]), IC/IS, and IC/IS + HR-cervix. In patients with IC/IS implants, the relative uterine tandem dwell time was significantly extended in the IC/IS + HR-cervix group, and the V150 and V200 volumes of HR-cervix were increased (all p < 0.001), whereas the D90 and D100 values of the IC/IS + HR-cervix group were lower than those in the IC/IS group. In pairwise comparisons, HR-cervix V150 and V200 values were lowest in the IC/IS group, followed by the IC (3D), IC/IS + HR-cervix, and IC (Point A) groups. All differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05), with the exception of IC/IS vs. IC (3D). When treating locally advanced cervical cancer (stage IIB, local residual volume ≥5 cm after external radiotherapy), the IC/IS + HR-cervix optimization method can meet the HR clinical target volume D90 dose requirement, normal tissue dose limits, and can escalate doses to local areas of the cervix. To identify number of children who received live vaccines outside recommended intervals between doses and calculate corrective revaccination costs. We analyzed >1.6 million vaccination records for children aged 12 months through 6 years from six immunization information system (IIS) Sentinel Sites from 2014–15 when live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV, FluMist® Quadrivalent) was recommended for use, and from 2016–17, when not recommended for use. Depending on the vaccine, insufficient intervals between live vaccine doses are less than 24 or 28 days from a preceding live vaccine dose. Private and public purchase costs of vaccines were used to determine revaccination costs of live vaccine doses administered during the live vaccine conflict interval. Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella, combined MMRV, and LAIV were live vaccines evaluated in this study. Among 946,659 children who received at least one live vaccine dose from 2014–15, 4,873 (0.5%) received at least one dose too soon after a prior live vaccine (revaccination cost, $786,413) with a median conflict interval of 16 days. Among 704,591 children who received at least one live vaccine dose from 2016–17, 1,001 (0.1%) received at least one dose too soon after a prior live vaccine (revaccination cost, $181,565) with a median conflict interval of 14 days. The live vaccine most frequently administered outside of the recommended intervals was LAIV from 2014–15, and varicella from 2016–17. Live vaccine interval errors were rare (0.5%), indicating an adherence to recommendations. If all invalid doses were corrected by revaccination over the two time periods, the cost within the IIS Sentinel Sites would be nearly one million dollars. Provider awareness about live vaccine conflicts, especially with LAIV, could prevent errors, and utilization of clinical decision support functionality within IISs and Electronic Health Record Systems can facilitate better vaccination practices. The VEGF rebound induced by hypoxia following transarterial embolization/chemoembolization for primary liver cancer is associated with treatment failure and poor survival rates in patients. The present study investigated the ability of intermittent hypoxia to alleviate the acute hypoxia-induced increase of VEGF and decrease the pro-angiogenic potential of liver cancer cells. The liver cancer cells were exposed to normoxia, or acute or intermittent hypoxia, and the expression of VEGF was determined using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis and western blotting. The pro-angiogenic effects of acute or intermittent hypoxia-exposed liver cancer cells on endothelial cells were assessed in vitro and in vivo. The expression of VEGF in the liver cancer cells exposed to intermittent hypoxia was significantly lower than that in cells exposed to acute hypoxia. Compared with conditioned medium (CM) from acute hypoxia-exposed liver cancer cells, the CM from intermittent hypoxia-exposed liver cancer cells showed markedly less promotion of proliferation and tube formation in endothelial cells. Activation of the reactive oxygen species (ROS)/NF-κB/hypoxia-inducible factor-1α/VEGF signaling pathway was increased in the liver cancer cells exposed to acute hypoxia. Exposure to ROS scavenger N-acetyl-cysteine or NF-κB inhibitor PDTC inhibited the activation of the above pathway and the expression of VEGF induced by acute hypoxia. The in vivo pro-angiogenic effects of intermittent hypoxia-exposed liver cancer cells on endothelial cells were significantly reduced compared with those of acute hypoxia-exposed liver cancer cells. Intermittent hypoxia may alleviate the acute hypoxia-induced increase of VEGF and decrease the pro-angiogenic potential of liver cancer cells, suggesting a novel treatment strategy. Bone loss is a prominent complication in immunologic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) patients with steroid treatment. Anti-osteoporotic medications are applied as a therapeutic strategy to prevent bone deterioration in ITP patients. However, the skeletal protective effect of alendronate (ALN) in ITP patients has been rarely reported. The present study was performed to determine whether ALN reduces bone loss in ITP patients. A total of 40 ITP patients with steroid treatment were randomized into a placebo group [n=20; caltrate D (CalD)] and an ALN (10 mg/day) + CalD group (n=20). The patients received CalD or CalD + ALN treatment for 9 months. The primary outcomes were bone mineral density (BMD) in the lumbar vertebrae (L1-L4), femoral neck and total hip, as well as bone metabolism markers. The results indicated that the BMD of the lumbar vertebrae (L1-L4), femoral neck and total hip was significantly increased after ALN + CalD treatment for at 6 and 9 months compared with the baseline. Compared with CalD treatment alone, CalD combined with ALN significantly elevated the BMD at the three skeletal sites at 9 months. Compared with the baseline levels or CalD treatment alone, ALN together with CalD treatment markedly reduced urinary Ca excretion and the serum levels of the bone resorption markers tartrate resistant acid phosphatase 5b and C-terminal telopeptides of type 1 collagen, at 9 months. In conclusion, treatment with ALN together with CalD significantly elevated the BMD at three skeletal sites, and inhibited urinary Ca excretion and the activity of bone resorption markers in patients with ITP. Abstract In the United States, human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine has been recommended for females since 2006 and for males since 2011. However, national HPV vaccination coverage among adolescents is lower than national targets, and many adolescents initiate HPV vaccination later than the recommended age. We analyzed records for >2 million persons born during 1996–2000 who initiated HPV vaccination at age 9 through 16 years from six Immunization Information Systems Sentinel Sites, displayed the distribution of HPV vaccination initiation age, and calculated HPV vaccination coverage. More adolescents in recent cohorts initiated HPV vaccination at the recommended age of 11–12 years, the majority of whom received another recommended vaccine on the same day. However, >40% of all vaccinated adolescents did not initiate the HPV vaccination until age 13 years or later. A new family of Ag(I) coordination polymers, [Ag(pyz)(Hntph)]·2H 2 O ( 1 ), Ag(dpyz) 2/2 (Hntph) ( 2 ), Ag(epyz) 2/2 (Hntph) ( 3 ) and Ag(4,4′-bipy)(Hntph) ( 4 ), has been solvothermally prepared by the assembly of Ag(I), H 2 ntph and various N-donor ligands, respectively (H 2 ntph = nitroterephthalic acid, pyz = pyrazine, dpyz = 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine, epyz = 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine, 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine). Complex 1 exhibits a 1D structure constructed by the binuclear [Ag 2 (Hntph) 2 ] units and pyz ligands. Complex 2 is a robust 3D metal organic compound with a novel 6 6 topological net. Complex 3 shows a 2D layer with binuclear [Ag 2 (Hntph) 2 ] unit which different from complex 1 and complex 4 exhibits a 1D coordination polymer construction. The structures of complexes 1 – 4 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and characterized by infrared spectra (IR), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) analyses. The Southern Ocean (SO) surface westerly wind stress plays a fundamental role in driving the Antarctic Circumpolar Current and the global meridional overturning circulation. Here, the authors investigate the contributions of atmospheric wind fluctuations to the mean, variability, and trend of SO wind stress over the last four decades using NCEP reanalysis and ERA-Interim products. Including wind variability at synoptic frequencies (2-8 days) and higher in the stress calculation is found to increase the strength of the mean SO wind stress by almost 40% in both reanalysis products. The southern annular mode index is found to be a good indicator for the strength of the mean wind and mean wind stress, but not as good an indicator for wind fluctuations, at least for the chosen study period. Large discrepancies between reanalysis products emerge regarding the contributions of wind fluctuations to the strengthening trend of SO wind stress. Between one-third and one-half of the stress trend in NCEP can be explained by the increase in the intensity of wind fluctuations, while the stress trend in ERA-Interim is due entirely to the increasing strength of the mean westerly wind. This trend discrepancy may have important climatic implications since the sensitivity of SO circulation to wind stress changes depends strongly on how these stress changes are brought about. Given the important role of wind fluctuations in shaping the SO wind stress, studies of the SO response to wind stress changes need to account for changes of wind fluctuations in the past and future. Due to the extreme rarity of primary intrapulmonary solitary fibrous tumours (SFTs), their clinical course, imaging characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis are poorly understood. The present study therefore assessed the diagnosis and management of primary intrapulmonary SFTs and systematically reviewed previously reported cases in the literature. A total of 5 patients who underwent resection for primary intrapulmonary SFTs were enrolled in the present study and their clinical course, tumour characteristics, management and survival were assessed in this retrospective study. Relevant studies regarding primary intrapulmonary SFTs were searched using PubMed and tumour characteristics, clinicopathologic features, therapeutic strategy and survival outcomes were reviewed. Of the 5 cases, all were males, with a mean age of 57.6 years (range, 37‑68 years). All patients were asymptomatic and were identified incidentally on routine computed tomography examination. A total of 3 patients underwent thoracotomy and 2 patients underwent video‑assisted thoracoscopic surgery. All tumours were completely resected. Postoperative haemorrhage occurred in 1 patient and he received surgical intervention for haemostasis. The average hospital stay was 15 (4‑22) days, and no mortality occurred. The mean length of the postoperative follow‑up was 37.6 (1‑67) months. One patient was lost to follow‑up, and 4 patients were asymptomatic. A total of 19 studies were identified from database searches. They included a total of 45 patients: Twenty-three males and 22 females (mean age, 59.4 years; range, 7‑81 years). A total of 12 patients were asymptomatic, and pain and coughing were the major symptoms. Five, one, two, four, and 17 tumours occurred in the right upper lobe, right middle lobe, right lower lobe, left upper lobe and left lower lobe, respectively. A total of 39 patients underwent surgery, 1 patient underwent radiotherapy, and 1 patient underwent radiofrequency ablation. A total of 22 patients were followed up and the mean length of the postoperative follow‑up was 48 (1‑168) months. One patient was diagnosed with chest wall metastases, and 5 patients succumbed to mortality. To conclude, primary intrapulmonary SFTs are extremely rare and typically identified incidentally. Herein we disclose the report on the synthesis of α-trifluoromethylseleno-substituted ketone derivatives via copper-mediated trifluoromethylselenolation of α-bromoketones with [(bpy)Cu(SeCF 3 )] 2 1. A broad range of substituted 2-bromoacetophenone substrates were found to react smoothly with 1 in the presence of 3 equiv of K 3 PO 4 to afford the corresponding α-trifluoromethylseleno-substituted ketones in good yields. This paper describes an electrochemiluminescent (ECL) based method for chiral recognition and detection of both glutamate (Glu) enantiomers. The luminophore luminol (Lum) was used as both the reductant and stabilizer of Ag nanoparticles (AgNP-Lum) which were combined with carbon quantum dots (C-dots) and placed on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) along with the enzyme glutamate oxidase (GluOx). The use of these materials is found to result in strong amplification of ECL. The nanomaterials used were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The stepwise fabrication of the electrode was verified by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Under optimized conditions and by applying a typical potential of 0.6 V, the ECL increases linearly in the 5.0 μM to 5.0 mM Glu concentration range, with a 1.6 μM lower detection limit and satisfactory selectivity. A series of 3-D lanthanide-transition 3d-4f heterometallic complexes have been synthesized by hydrothermal route from mixtures of 2,2′-bipyridyl-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid (H2bpdc) and acetic acid (HAc) with tetrazoleacetic acid as template. The single-crystal X-ray analysis shows that nine CdLn(H2O)2Cl2(bpdc)Ac complexes (Ln = La for 1, Pr for 2, Nd for 3, Sm for 4, Eu for 5, Gd for 6, Dy for 7, Ho for 8, Er for 9) crystallized in the space group P-1 and featured three-nodal (3, 4, 6)-three connected topological frameworks. Four Ag-based coordination polymers, Ag 4 (H 2 O) 2 (npth) 2 ( 1 ), Ag 4 (epyz) 2 (npth) 2 ( 2 ), [Ag(pyz)(Hnpth)]·H 2 O ( 3 ) and Ag(epyz) 0.5 (Hnpth) ( 4 ) (H 2 npth = 3-nitrophthalic acid, pyz = pyrazine, epyz = 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine), have been synthesized by ultrasonic or hydrothermal reactions of Ag(I) salts with H 2 npth and various pyrazine derivatives ligands. Compound 1 presents a 2D 4 4 -sql network with Ag 4 units, and compound 2 features novel cage-like Ag 8 SBUs (secondary building unit), which are linked by epyz ligands to form a 3D framework. Compound 3 shows a 1D chain and compound 4 exhibits a 2D coordination polymer construction. The photocatalytic properties for the degradation of organic dye molecules have been examined, and the experiments show that compound 3 has a good degradation effect to Rhodamine B. Two new dinuclear silver(I) coordination complexes [Ag(Hntph)(tpyz) 2/2 ] n 1 and [Ag 2 (dtrz) 2 (Hntph) 2 ] 2 (H 2 ntph=2-nitroterephthalic acid, tpyz=2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine, dtrz=3,5-dimethyl-4 H -1,2,4-triazol-4-amine) have been obtained by hydrothermal reactions of Ag(I) salts with H 2 ntph and various N-donor ligands. Complex 1 exhibits a 2D layer structure constructed by the binuclear Ag 2 (Hntph) 2 units and tpyz ligands. Complex 2 also shows a different binuclear unit Ag 2 (dtrz) 2 , which was assembled via hydrogen bonds interactions to a 3D supramolecular architecture. The photocatalytic experiments showed that complex 2 is an excellent visible light candidate for degradation of RhB, and the degradation ratio of RhB reached 91.4% after 7 h under the light of 90 W white LED lamp. Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is a debilitating condition that leads to loss renal function and damage to kidney tissue in the majority of patients with acute kidney disease. Previous studies have indicated that autophagy serves a protective function in renal I/R injury. In the present study, the effect of the anthelmintic niclosamide in the regulation of inflammatory responses in kidney I/R was investigated. A total of 40 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the following 5 groups (n=8 in each group): Sham group; renal I/R injury; renal I/R injury plus 3-methyladenine (3-MA) treatment (15 mg/kg); renal I/R injury plus niclosamide (25 mg/kg); and renal I/R injury plus rapamycin (10 mg/kg). The expression levels of autophagy-associated proteins in kidney samples obtained from rats with I/R injury were examined using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting techniques. In addition, histopathological alterations, the expression of cytokines and renal function were evaluated. Treatment with niclosamide was associated with induction of autophagy and an overall improvement in renal function. There was an increased expression of autophagosome-associated proteins, suggesting a strong correlation between autophagy and improvement of renal function. The increased levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines and decreased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines provided additional evidence that niclosamide may be effective for the treatment of renal I/R injury. As an appealing cathode material for rechargeable batteries, selenium (Se) attracts much attention benefitting from its outstanding electronic conductivity and high volumetric specific capacity. Whereas, Se cathode generally suffers from large volume expansion and polyselenides shuttling, which seriously hamper the progress of Se-based batteries. To overcome these challenges, a novel aqueous Cu-Se battery is designed by employing Se encapsulated in ordered mesoporous carbon (Se/CMK-3) as cathode. Via X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the reaction mechanism of the designed battery is verified as a four-electron conversion of Se ↔ CuSe ↔ Cu 5 Se 4 ↔ Cu 2 Se. Benefiting from the synergistic effects of four-electron conversion (Se ↔ Se2−, Cu2+↔Cu+) and robust mesoporous carbon host, the battery manifests high specific capacity (1009.5 mAh/g at 0.2 A/g) and favorable long-span cycling capability (93.7 % capacity retention after 400 cycles at 4.0 A/g).
