Rape (Brassica napus L.; AACC) is an important oil‐bearing crop worldwide. Temperature significantly affects the production of oil crops; however, the mechanisms underlying temperature‐promoted oil biosynthesis remain largely unknown. In this study, we found that a temperature‐sensitive cultivar (O) could accumulate higher seed oil content under low nighttime temperatures (LNT,13°C) compared with a temperature‐insensitive cultivar (S). We performed an in‐depth transcriptome analysis of seeds from both cultivars grown under different nighttime temperatures. We found that low nighttime temperatures induced significant changes in the transcription patterns in the seeds of both cultivars. In contrast, the expression of genes associated with fatty acid and lipid pathways was higher in the O cultivar than in the S cultivar under low nighttime temperatures. Among these genes, we identified 14 genes associated with oil production, especially BnLPP and ACAA1, which were remarkably upregulated in the O cultivar in response to low nighttime temperatures compared to S. Further, a WGCNA analysis and qRT‐PCR verification revealed that these genes were mainly regulated by five transcription factors, WRKY20, MYB86, bHLH144, bHLH95, and NAC12, whose expression was also increased in O compared to S under LNT. These results allowed the elucidation of the probable molecular mechanism of oil accumulation under LNT conditions in the O cultivar. Subsequent biochemical assays verified that BnMYB86 transcriptionally activated BnLPP expression, contributing to oil accumulation. Meanwhile, at LNT, the expression levels of these genes in the O plants were higher than at high nighttime temperatures, DEGs (SUT, PGK, PK, GPDH, ACCase, SAD, KAS II, LACS, FAD2, FAD3, KCS, KAR, ECR, GPAT, LPAAT, PAP, DGAT, STERO) related to lipid biosynthesis were also upregulated, most of which are used in oil accumulation. Rutin hydrate has some pharmacological properties and is widely available in human food and household samples. Although many methods based on large-scale instruments have been established for the detection of rutin hydrate, a simple, rapid and in situ measurement strategy was rarely reported up to now. In this work, a fluorescent sensor based on the cyanostilbene macrocycle (BCM) was developed for detecting rutin hydrate with high selectivity and sensitivity. BCM is a bis-cyanostilbene macrocycle with a bridging thiourea chain prepared by "1 + 1" condensation in 75% yield. BCM possessed a good fluorescence emission at 475 nm with an absolute fluorescence quantum yield of 0.26 in DMSO–H2O (5 : 95). It exhibited good selective detection for rutin hydrate among a series of normal ions and biomolecules with a "turn-off" fluorescence response. The binding constant of BCM for rutin hydrate was 2.4 × 104 M−1 and the detection limit attained 1.16 × 10−7 M. The 1 : 1 sensing mechanism was clarified using Job's plot, and 1H NMR and MS binding spectra. The sensing ability of BCM for rutin hydrate was successfully applied in detecting rutin hydrate in a test paper, three fruits and experiments of standard addition recovery with the recoveries of 90–95%, implying the simple, rapid and in situ detecting potential of BCM for rutin hydrate in real samples and the environment. For the purpose of studying the influence of the number of alkyl chains on mesomorphic and photophysical properties of aggregation-induced emission liquid crystals, the novel diphenylacrylonitrile derivatives 6–9 with 2–5 alkyl chains were prepared in yields of 80%–86%. The studies suggested that the number of alkyl chains influenced greatly on both mesomorphic properties and aggregation-induced emission fluorescence. The four or five alkyl chains on diphenylacrylonitrile liquid crystals were favourable for the ordered hexagonal columnar mesophase. The three or four alkyl chains contributed to high fluorescence. The four alkyl chains on diphenylacrylonitrile derivatives were the optimised number for producing the ordered columnar liquid crystalline phase and high fluorescence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[Objective] The correlation between genetic distance and heterosis of the major Brassica napus L. cultivars in Yunnan Province was analyzed. [Method] The genetic distances among the 8 major Brassica napus L cultivars in Yunnan Province were investigated with the SSR molecular marker technique. Moreover, the correlation between genetic distance and field appearance of heterosis was analyzed. [Result] There was a certain correlation between the genetic distance and heterosis of crossing parents 0.05).
