Abstract Background It is believed that negative postoperative behavioral changes (NPOBC) is associated with negative perioperative outcomes in children. The importance of development of a predictive model of NPOBC was noted. This study aims to identify potential risk factors develop a nomogram to predict NPOBC on postoperative day 3 based on a prospective cohort. Methods A prospective observational study was conducted on children(American Society of Anesthesiologists I ~ III) aged 2 ~ 12 years who underwent selective surgery under general anesthesia between September 2022 and February 2023. The patient’s clinical data were analyzed. The method of measuring NPOBC is with the The Posthospital Behaviour Questionnaire (PHBQ), and all of children remained hospitalized at the time of assessment. The enrolled patients were categorized into the NPOBC group and the non-NPOBC group according to if children developed NPOBC on postoperative day 3. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify independent risk factors and develop the nomogram to predict NPOBC. Internal validation was performed using the parametric bootstrapping method. Results One hundred ninety-two patients were enrolled in the study, 44.8% (86/192 patients) of children developed NPOBC on postoperative day 3. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the Pediatric Anesthesia Behavior (PAB) score (OR: 1.23, 95%CI: 1.14–1.33), cerebral desaturation (OR: 1.16, 95%CI: 1.02–1.32), and postoperative pain score (OR: 1.07, 95%CI: 1.02–1.13) were independent predictors for NPOBC on postoperative day 3 (P

Owing to the structural errors in the optical phased array, an initial random phase reduces the quality of the deflection beam. The most commonly applied approach to phase calibration is based on adaptive optics. However, adaptive optimisation approaches have slow convergence and low diffraction efficiency. We proposed a pointwise optimisation approach to achieve fast and accurate beam deflection. This approach conducts phase calibration, combining global traversal and local searches individually for each array element. We built a phase-calibration optical system containing a one-dimensional optical waveguide phase array for further verification and designed the relevant mechanics. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the pointwise optimisation approach accelerates the calibration process and improves the diffraction efficiency.

Zoysia japonica (Zoysia japonica Steud.) is a kind of warm-season turfgrass with many excellent characteristics. However, the shorter green period and longer dormancy caused by cold stress in late autumn and winter are the most limiting factors affecting its application. A previous transcriptome analysis revealed that ethephon regulated genes in chlorophyll metabolism in Zoysia japonica under cold stress. Further experimental data are necessary to understand the effect and underlying mechanism of ethephon in regulating the cold tolerance of Zoysia japonica. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of ethephon by measuring the enzyme activity, intermediates content, and gene expression related to ethylene biosynthesis, signaling, and chlorophyll metabolism. In addition, the ethylene production rate, chlorophyll content, and chlorophyll a/b ratio were analyzed. The results showed that ethephon application in a proper concentration inhibited endogenous ethylene biosynthesis, but eventually promoted the ethylene production rate due to its ethylene-releasing nature. Ethephon could promote chlorophyll content and improve plant growth in Zoysia japonica under cold-stressed conditions. In conclusion, ethephon plays a positive role in releasing ethylene and maintaining the chlorophyll content in Zoysia japonica both under non-stressed and cold-stressed conditions.

ObjectivesTo assess whether decreased regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rScO2) is associated with the emergence delirium (ED) following general anesthesia in the pediatric population.MethodsA retrospective observational cohort study was conducted on 113 children (ASA I–III) aged 2–14 years who underwent selective surgery under general anesthesia between 2022-01 and 2022-04. Computational ghost imaging, as an alternative photoelectric imaging technology, uses a single-pixel detector with no spatial resolution to capture information and reconstruct the image of a scene. Due to its essentially temporal measurement manner, improving the image frame rate is always a major concern in the research of computational ghost imaging technology. By taking advantage of the fast switching time of LED, an LED array was developed to provide a structured illumination light source in our work, which significantly improves the structured illumination rate in the computational ghost imaging system. The design of the LED array driver circuit presented in this work makes full use of the LED switching time and achieves a pattern displaying rate of 12.5 MHz. Continuous images with 32 × 32 pixel resolution are reconstructed at a frame rate of 25,000 fps, which is approximately 500 times faster than what a universally used digital micromirror device can achieve. The LED array presented in this work can potentially be applied to other techniques requiring high-speed structured illumination, such as fringe 3D profiling and array-based LIFI.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease in the world, and its incidence continues to increase each year. Yet, there is still no definitive drug that can stop its development. This review focuses mainly on lipotoxicity, oxidative stress, inflammation, and intestinal flora dysbiosis to understand NAFLD’s pathogenesis. In this review, we used NCBI’s PubMed database for retrieval, integrating in vivo and in vitro experiments to reveal the therapeutic effects of natural compounds on NAFLD. We also reviewed the mechanisms by which the results of these experiments suggest that these compounds can protect the liver from damage by modulating inflammation, reducing oxidative stress, decreasing insulin resistance and lipid accumulation in the liver, and interacting with the intestinal microflora. The natural compounds discussed in these papers target a variety of pathways, such as the AMPK pathway and the TGF-β pathway, and have significant therapeutic effects. This review aims to provide new possible therapeutic lead compounds and references for the development of novel medications and the clinical treatment of NAFLD. It offers fresh perspectives on the development of natural compounds in preventing and treating NAFLD.

The chronic infection with hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an important health problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Current therapies for HBV always suffer from a poor response rate, common side effects, and the need for lifelong treatment. Novel therapeutic targets are expected. Interestingly, non-canonical structures of nucleic acids play crucial roles in the regulation of gene expression. Especially the formation of G-quadruplexes (G4s) in G-rich strands has been demonstrated to affect many bioprocesses including replication, transcription, and translation, showing great potential as targets in anticancer and antiviral therapies. In this review, we summarize recent antiviral studies about G4s and discuss the potential roles of G4 structures in antiviral therapy for HBV.

BackgroundPrevious studies of the relationship of regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rScO2) and postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) in pediatric patients are not well established, and further investigation is warranted. The aim of this prospective study was to determine whether a decrease in intraoperative rScO2 is associated with PPCs in children undergoing thoracoscopic surgery requiring one-lung ventilation (OLV).MethodsOne hundred and six children of ages 3 months to 8 years who received one-lung ventilation were enrolled in the study. Upon entering the operating room, regional cerebral oxygen saturation was continuously monitored bilaterally by near-infrared spectroscopy. Patients were divided into low rScO2 (L-rScO2) or high rScO2 (H- rScO2) groups according to whether the lowest intraoperative rScO2 value was 15% lower than the baseline value. Outcome is defined as PPCs occurring within 7 days after surgery.ResultsAfter propensity score matching, 23 pediatric patients with decreased rScO2 and 46 pediatric patients without a decrease in rScO2 were included in this study. According to logistic regression analysis, patients in the H- rScO2 group were less likely to have PPCs than those in the L-rScO2 group (OR = 3.16; 95% CI = 1.05–9.5; P = 0.04). Moreover, intraoperative rScO2 reduction was associated with an increase in the severity of PPCs (OR = 3.90; 95% CI = 1.19–12.80; P = 0.025).ConclusionsThe decrease in regional cerebral oxygen saturation during surgery increases the likelihood of postoperative pulmonary complications.

BackgroundBIS-guided total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) is widely used in children, but few studies have attempted to evaluation of the effect of BIS-guided TIVA in younger children. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of bispectral index (BIS) guidance during TIVA in younger children during anesthesia.MethodsThis study is a prospective, randomized, single-blind and controlled clinical trial. This study enrolled pediatric patients (aged 1–3 years) who were scheduled for surgery under TIVA with propofol and remifentanil. The children were randomly assigned to the BIS group (group B) and standard clinical practice group (group S). The BIS values in group B were maintained at 45–60. The anesthesiologist controlled the depth of anesthesia in group S according to the variation in the clinical signs of the children. The time of extubation, duration of stay in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), as well as BIS values, heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), pulse oxygen saturation at eight time points 1 min before induction (T1), 1 min after induction (1 min after the induction drugs were administrated) (T2), immediately after intubation (T3), immediately after skin incision (T4), 30 min after the start of the operation (T5), 60 min after the start of operation (T6), immediately after drug withdrawal (T7), and immediately after extubation (T8), propofol consumption, and postoperative adverse reactions were recorded.ResultsThere was no significant difference in time to extubation 15(10,21) vs 14 (11,20) and duration of stay in PACU 27 (20,37) vs. 29 (22,39) between the group B and group S. At the time points 30 min after the start of the operation, 60 min after the start of operation and immediately after drug withdrawal, the BIS values in group S were significantly higher than those in group B (57 ± 9, 57 ± 9, 60 ± 8 vs 52 ± 7, 54 ± 7, 57 ± 6).ConclusionsThe use of BIS-guided total intravenous anesthesia in younger children does not shorten the time of extubation and the duration of stay in the PACU.Trial registrationChictr.org.cn identifier: 24/11/2017, ChiCTR-IOR-17013530.

Abstract Background Although regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rScO2) monitoring has been widely used in clinical practice, the relationship between hemoglobin (dHB) content and rScO2 is incompletely understood. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of hemoglobin content on rScO2 in pediatric patients undergoing general anesthesia for correction of scoliosis. Methods Ninety-two pediatric patients aged 3 to 14 years undergoing scoliosis correction surgery were enrolled. Continuous monitoring of bilateral regional cerebral oxygen saturation by near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS, CASMED, USA) was performed after entering the operation room. rScO2 was recorded when the patients entered the operating room (T0, baseline), after anesthesia induced intubation (T1), and after radial artery puncture (T2). The lowest value of rScO2 during surgery was also recorded. The arterial blood pressure (ABP), heart rate (HR), pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2), end tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure (PetCO2) were continuously recorded. Patients were classified as low rScO2 or high rScO2 group according to whether the lowest intraoperative rScO2 was 15% lower than the baseline value. An analysis and comparison of differences in hemoglobin content in these two groups was carried out. Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BHD) has lipid-lowering and antioxidant effects. In this study, HPLC was used to establish the fingerprint of extracts from different polar parts of BHD. Through the L02 cell lipid deposition model induced by oleic acid, extracts from different polar parts of BHD were administered for treatment. Oil red O staining, TG detection, and MDA detection were used to determine lipid deposition and antioxidant activity. The component-effect relationship is established by using grey relational analysis and PLSR analysis. The results showed that the extracts from different polar parts of BHD could reduce the levels of TG and MDA. The grey relational analysis showed that the peaks that contributed greatly to the reduction of TG and MDA were peaks 3, 16, 14, 10, 1, 15, 2, and 11, respectively. Peaks 1, 4, 9, 10, 14, 16, and 17 could reduce TG and MDA through PLSR analysis. According to the results of grey relational analysis and PLSR analysis, peaks 1, 10, 14, and 16 may have good lipid-lowering and antioxidant effects. This study provides a certain preliminary basis for follow-up research on lipid-lowering drugs.

At present, most unmanned mining vehicles (UMVs) adopt batteries to meet the requirements of low power consumption in driving control systems, and saving energy is the key to increase the working time and production efficiency. Mobile edge computing (MEC) is an effective technology that can improve the driving performance, whereas reduces the power consumption caused by the UMV's CPU. However, sending more offloading tasks to MEC servers means higher wireless channel transmission power, and especially in mining areas, where the communication quality of wireless channels are easily deteriorated by dust, rocks and ravines. To solve this contradiction, this article firstly analyzes the UMVs' consumption of computational power and communicational power based on the proposed MEC architecture. Then, considering that flexible connection methods can reduce the end-to-end delay of offloading tasks and improve the use efficiency of link resources, a joint connection modes, uplink paths and computational tasks assignment method is proposed to reduce the power consumption under a strict delay constraint. Furthermore, a novel algorithm is presented to obtain the optimal parameters. Finally, through a simulation experiment, the effectiveness of this method in reducing the power consumption compared with the shortest path method is proved.

Urbanization is expanding rapidly worldwide, and brings additional selection pressure on animals. The song differences between urban and rural songbirds have been widely verified, but the effects of urban morphological variation on long-settled urban birds have been poorly explored. Here, we investigated the distribution and song differences of a common resident songbird—the oriental magpie-robin (Copsychus saularis) between three urban morphology types (i.e., urban park, low-rise residential area, and high-rise residential area). The results indicated that the population density in low-rise residential areas was significantly higher than in urban parks, while it was the lowest in high-rise residential areas. Males in low-rise residential areas had greater song length, syllable numbers, frequency bandwidth, and song diversity than those in urban parks. The song differences were mainly related to habitat types, independent of singing height and perch type. Our findings suggest that low-rise residential areas may provide preferred song post sites for the oriental magpie-robin, which is well-adapted to the low-rise building morphology, but rejects the emerging high-rise buildings. Future studies are needed to assess the effects of urban morphological variation on more resident animals to determine which urban morphologies are conducive to enhancing biodiversity and encouraging animals to settle in urban areas.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the most common complications of diabetes, and its prevalence is still growing rapidly. However, the efficient therapies for this kidney disease are still limited. The pathogenesis of DKD involves glucotoxicity, lipotoxicity, inflammation, oxidative stress, and renal fibrosis. Glucotoxicity and lipotoxicity can cause oxidative stress, which can lead to inflammation and aggravate renal fibrosis. In this review, we have focused on in vitro and in vivo experiments to investigate the mechanistic pathways by which natural compounds exert their effects against the progression of DKD. The accumulated and collected data revealed that some natural compounds could regulate inflammation, oxidative stress, renal fibrosis, and activate autophagy, thereby protecting the kidney. The main pathways targeted by these reviewed compounds include the Nrf2 signaling pathway, NF-κB signaling pathway, TGF-β signaling pathway, NLRP3 inflammasome, autophagy, glycolipid metabolism and ER stress. This review presented an updated overview of the potential benefits of these natural compounds for the prevention and treatment of DKD progression, aimed to provide new potential therapeutic lead compounds and references for the innovative drug development and clinical treatment of DKD.

The SD was extracted with a new green eutectic solvent, and the extraction method of TCM decoction was developed. In the quantitative analysis by HPLC, choline chloride phenol was selected as the eutectic solvent, THF was used as the extractant, and investigation of DES type, DES molar ratio, DES-to-THF ratio, vortex time, and material-to-liquid ratio was carried out. The experimental results showed that the optimal extraction method was as follows: the molar ratio of DES was 1 : 3, and the material-liquid ratio was 5 : 1200 (mL/μL). The volume ratio of DES to THF was 1200 : 800 (μL), the vortex time was 3 min, and the extraction was repeated two times. The eutectic solvent liquid phase microextraction method was adopted to optimize the extraction method of SD and reduce the complicated processing, long time, and low efficiency of traditional methods. At the same time, in the mouse ammonia water inducing cough and phenol red excretion and expectorant experiments, SD high- and medium-dose groups have a significant inhibitory effect on the frequency of antitussive in mice and both can increase the excretion of phenol red to varying degrees, indicating that SD has good cough-relieving and expectorant effect. The present study suggests a scientific basis and basis for the clinical research and quality standard formulation of SD.

The effective components of Coptis chinensis were extracted by ultrasound-assisted technology, and the contents of palmatine and berberine were used as indexes by using Coptis chinensis as raw material and eutectic solvent as extractant. In addition, the effects of hydrogen bond donor type, molar ratio of hydrogen bond donor to acceptor, material-liquid ratio, water content of eutectic solvent system, sonication time, power, and ultrasonic temperature on the extraction rate of palmatine and berberine were studied. The optimum extraction technology of palmatine and berberine from Coptis chinensis was determined by single-factor experiment and response surface optimization test. As a result, it showed that the eutectic solvent system was constructed with choline chloride as hydrogen bond acceptor and phenol as hydrogen bond donor, with a molar ratio of 1 : 3. In addition, water content of the eutectic solvent system was 30%, ratio of material to liquid was 30 g/mL, ultrasonic time was 30 min, ultrasonic power was 200 W, and ultrasonic temperature was 60°C. At this time, the contents of palmatine and berberine in Coptis chinensis were 16.7145 mg/g and 57.4013 mg/g, respectively, which were predicted to be the same as the value, and the extraction effect was better than that of traditional extraction solvent method.

Zoysia japonica is a warm-season turfgrass with a good tolerance and minimal maintenance requirements. However, its use in Northern China is limited due to massive chlorophyll loss in early fall, which is the main factor affecting its distribution and utilization. Although ethephon treatment at specific concentrations has reportedly improved stress tolerance and extended the green period in turfgrass, the potential mechanisms underlying this effect are not clear. In this study, we evaluated and analyzed chlorophyll changes in the physiology and transcriptome of Z. japonica plants in response to cold stress (4 °C) with and without ethephon pretreatment. Based on the transcriptome and chlorophyll content analysis, ethephon pretreatment increased the leaf chlorophyll content under cold stress by affecting two processes: the stimulation of chlorophyll synthesis by upregulating ZjMgCH2 and ZjMgCH3 expression; and the suppression of chlorophyll degradation by downregulating ZjPAO, ZjRCCR, and ZjSGR expression. Furthermore, ethephon pretreatment increased the ratio of chlorophyll a to chlorophyll b in the leaves under cold stress, most likely by suppressing the conversion of chlorophyll a to chlorophyll b due to decreased chlorophyll b synthesis via downregulation of ZjCAO. Additionally, the inhibition of chlorophyll b synthesis may result in energy redistribution between photosystem II and photosystem I.

Xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibition has long been considered an effective anti-hyperuricemia strategy. To identify effective natural XOD inhibitors with little side effects, we performed a XOD inhibitory assay-coupled isolation of compounds from Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma (SGR), a traditional Chinese medicine frequently prescribed as anti-hyperuricemia agent for centuries. Through the in vitro XOD inhibitory assay, we obtained a novel XOD inhibitor, 5-O-caffeoylshikimic acid (#1, 5OCSA) with IC50 of 13.96 μM, as well as two known XOD inhibitors, quercetin (#3) and astilbin (#6). Meanwhile, we performed in silico molecular docking and found 5OCSA could interact with the active sites of XOD (PDB ID: 3NVY) with a binding energy of −8.6 kcal/mol, suggesting 5OCSA inhibits XOD by binding with its active site. To evaluate the in vivo effects on XOD, we generated a hyperuricemia mice model by intraperitoneal injection of potassium oxonate (300 mg/kg) and oral gavage of hypoxanthine (500 mg/kg) for 7 days. 5OCSA could inhibit both hepatic and serum XOD in vivo, together with an improvement of histological and multiple serological parameters in kidney injury and HUA. Collectively, our results suggested that 5OCSA may be developed into a safe and effective XOD inhibitor based on in vitro, in silico and in vivo evidence.

The genetic predisposition to chronic kidney disease (CKD) has been widely evaluated especially using the genome-wide association studies, which highlighted some novel genetic susceptibility variants in many genes, and estimated glomerular filtration rate to diagnose and stage CKD. Of these variants, rs7805747 in PRKAG2 was identified to be significantly associated with both serum creatinine and CKD with genome wide significance level. Until now, the potential mechanism by which rs7805747 affects CKD risk is still unclear. Here, we performed a functional analysis of rs7805747 variant using multiple bioinformatics software and databases. Using RegulomeDB and HaploReg (version 4.1), rs7805747 was predicated to locate in enhancer histone marks (Liver, Duodenum Mucosa, Fetal Intestine Large, Fetal Intestine Small, and Right Ventricle tissues). Using GWAS analysis in PhenoScanner, we showed that rs7805747 is not only associated with CKD, but also is significantly associated with other diseases or phenotypes. Using metabolite analysis in PhenoScanner, rs7805747 is identified to be significantly associated with not only the serum creatinine, but also with other 16 metabolites. Using eQTL analysis in PhenoScanner, rs7805747 is identified to be significantly associated with gene expression in multiple human tissues and multiple genes including PRKAG2. The gene expression analysis of PRKAG2 using 53 tissues from GTEx RNA-Seq of 8555 samples (570 donors) in GTEx showed that PRKAG2 had the highest median expression in Heart-Atrial Appendage. Using the gene expression profiles in human CKD, we further identified different expression of PRKAG2 gene in CKD cases compared with control samples. In summary, our findings provide new insight into the underlying susceptibility of PRKAG2 gene to CKD.

Gene therapy for HIV-1 infection is a promising alternative to lifelong combination antiviral drug treatment. Chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5) is the coreceptor required for R5-tropic HIV-1 infection of human cells. Deletion of CCR5 renders cells resistant to R5-tropic HIV-1 infection, and the potential for cure has been shown through allogeneic stem cell transplantation with naturally occurring homozygous deletion of CCR5 in donor hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPC). The requirement for HLA-matched HSPC bearing homozygous CCR5 deletions prohibits widespread application of this approach. Thus, a strategy to disrupt CCR5 genomic sequences in HSPC using zinc finger nucleases was developed. Following discussions with regulatory agencies, we conducted IND-enabling preclinical in vitro and in vivo testing to demonstrate the feasibility and (preclinical) safety of zinc finger nucleases-based CCR5 disruption in HSPC. We report here the clinical-scale manufacturing process necessary to deliver CCR5-specific zinc finger nucleases mRNA to HSPC using electroporation and the preclinical safety data. Our results demonstrate effective biallelic CCR5 disruption in up to 72.9% of modified colony forming units from adult mobilized HSPC with maintenance of hematopoietic potential in vitro and in vivo. Tumorigenicity studies demonstrated initial product safety; further safety and feasibility studies are ongoing in subjects infected with HIV-1 (NCT02500849@clinicaltrials.gov).

A fuzzy RBF-PID control strategy based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed to solve the problem of large inertia lag in temperature control system of industrial production refuse furnace. In this control system, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm combined with inertia weight and genetic transformation was used to optimize the initial values of membership functions of fuzzy RBF (radial basis function). Then, BP (error backpropagation) algorithm is used for fine tuning, and fuzzy reasoning and RBF learning ability are combined to adjust the PID control parameters online to achieve the optimal PID control effect. The simulation results show that the algorithm has fast tracking, small overshoot, and is not easily trapped in local minima. At the same time, its robustness and anti-interference performance are better than traditional PID control. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Background Base editing is a powerful tool for artificial evolution to create allelic diversity and improve agronomic traits. However, the great evolutionary potential for every sgRNA target has been overlooked. And there is currently no high-throughput method for generating and characterizing as many changes in a single target as possible based on large mutant pools to permit rapid gene directed evolution in plants. Results In this study, we establish an efficient germline-specific evolution system to screen beneficial alleles in Arabidopsis which could be applied for crop improvement. This system is based on a strong egg cell-specific cytosine base editor and the large seed production of Arabidopsis, which enables each T1 plant with unedited wild type alleles to produce thousands of independent T2 mutant lines. It has the ability of creating a wide range of mutant lines, including those containing atypical base substitutions, and as well providing a space- and labor-saving way to store and screen the resulting mutant libraries. Using this system, we efficiently generate herbicide-resistant EPSPS, ALS, and HPPD variants that could be used in crop breeding. Conclusions Here, we demonstrate the significant potential of base editing-mediated artificial evolution for each sgRNA target and devised an efficient system for conducting deep evolution to harness this potential.

Photoelectrochemical NO3− reduction (PEC NITRR) not only provides a promising solution for promoting the global nitrogen cycle, but also converts NO3− to the important chemicals (NH3). However, it is still a great challenge to prepare catalysts with excellent NO3− adsorption/activation capacity to achieve high NITRR. Herein, we designed a novel Fe2+Cu2+Fe3+LDH/BiVO4 (FCF-LDH/BVO) catalyst with synergistic effect of chemical adsorption and physical enrichment. Fe2+ in FCF-LDH/BVO provides the rich Lewis acid sites for the adsorption of NO3−, and the appropriate layer spacing of FCF-LDH further promotes the physical enrichment of NO3− in its interior, thus realizing the effective contact between NO3− and active sites (Fe2+). FCF-LDH/BVO showed excellent NH3 production performance (FENH3 = 66.1%, rNH3 = 13.8 μg h−1 cm−2) and selectivity (FENO2- = 2.5%, rNO2- = 4.9 μg h−1 cm−2) in 0.5 mol L−1 Na2SO4 electrolyte. In addition, FCF-LDH/BVO maintains the desirable PEC stability for six cycle experiments, showing great potential for practical application. The 14NO3− and 15NO3− isotope test provides strong evidence for further verification of the origin of N in the generated NH3. This LDH catalyst has a great potential in PEC removal of NO3− from groundwater.
