This article responds to the study by Zhou et al. (2025) that showed high functional disability in schizophrenia patients in the Management and Treatment Services for Psychosis (MTSP) programme in China. To improve service quality, this article proposes integrating social skills training, adopting app-based technology, and developing community-based rehabilitation. This article examines the communication preferences of transgender and genderdiverse individuals in the health system context. Findings suggest the importance of gender sensitivity and confident communication styles in improving patient experience. The article recommends case-based training to understand the dynamics of intersectionality and the development of communication aids to improve health literacy.
