Recently, the systemic inflammation score (SIS) has been introduced to evaluate the inflammatory status, utilizing the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and albumin. The primary objective of this study was to determine whether the SIS can predict CA-AKI and long-term prognosis in patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Patients and Methods: A total of 5726 patients who underwent elective PCI were included from January 2012 to December 2018. The primary outcome was CA-AKI, defined as an increase in serum creatinine (SCr) ≥ 0.3 mg/dl or ≥ 50% than baseline SCr within 48 h after the PCI procedure. The secondary outcome was long-term mortality. All patients were classified into low- and high-SIS groups.Results: During hospitalization, 349 (6.1%) patients developed CA-AKI. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that patients in the high SIS group had a 1.47-fold higher risk of developing CA-AKI than those in the low SIS group [odds ratio (OR): 1.50, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.12– 2.01, P =0.006]. Furthermore, the SIS showed the greatest prediction performance for CA-AKI compared with other inflammatory hematological ratios. In the multivariate Cox regression analysis, the high SIS group was found to be closely associated with long-term mortality [hazard ratio (HR): 1.58, 95% CI: 1.26– 1.97, P < 0.001, vs low SIS group]. The Kaplan-Meier curve analysis also demonstrated a difference in long-term mortality between the two groups (Log rank test, P < 0.001).Conclusion: The SIS was closely associated with CA-AKI and long-term mortality in patients after elective PCI. Considering that COPD patients usually have an ongoing prothrombotic state and systemic inflammation status, we investigated the association among them and explored the predictive value of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with a thrombospondin type 1 motif, member 13 (ADAMTS-13), on concealed chronic renal failure (CRF) in COPD patients.Methods: COPD patients were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University between January 2015 and December 2016. Control was selected from contemporaneous hospitalized patients without COPD and matched by age and gender at a ratio of 1:1. Background: In June 2019, a patient presented with persistent fever and multiple organ dysfunction after a tick bite at a wetland park in Inner Mongolia. Next-generation sequencing in this patient revealed an infection with a previously unknown orthonairovirus, which we designated Wetland virus (WELV)., Methods: We conducted active hospital-based surveillance to determine the prevalence of WELV infection among febrile patients with a history of tick bites. Epidemiologic investigation was performed. The virus was isolated, and its infectivity and pathogenicity were investigated in animal models., Results: WELV is a member of the orthonairovirus genus in the Nairoviridae family and is most closely related to the tickborne Hazara orthonairovirus genogroup. Acute WELV infection was identified in 17 patients from Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning, China, by means of reverse-transcriptase-polymerase-chain-reaction assay. These patients presented with nonspecific symptoms, including fever, dizziness, headache, malaise, myalgia, arthritis, and back pain and less frequently with petechiae and localized lymphadenopathy. One patient had neurologic symptoms. Common laboratory findings were leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and elevated d-dimer and lactate dehydrogenase levels. Serologic assessment of convalescent-stage samples obtained from 8 patients showed WELV-specific antibody titers that were 4 times as high as those in acute-phase samples. WELV RNA was detected in five tick species and in sheep, horses, pigs, and Transbaikal zokors ( Myospalax psilurus ) sampled in northeastern China. The virus that was isolated from the index patient and ticks showed cytopathic effects in human umbilical-vein endothelial cells. Intraperitoneal injection of the virus resulted in lethal infections in BALB/c, C57BL/6, and Kunming mice. The Haemaphysalis concinna tick is a possible vector that can transovarially transmit WELV., Conclusions: A newly discovered orthonairovirus was identified and shown to be associated with human febrile illnesses in northeastern China. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the predictive value of free triiodothyronine to free thyroxine ratio (FT3/FT4) on contrast-associated acute kidney injury (CA-AKI) and poor prognosis in euthyroid patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)., Methods: The present study included 3,116 euthyroid patients who underwent elective PCI. The main outcome was CA-AKI, and the secondary outcome was long-term mortality. All patients were divided into three groups according to the tertiles of FT3/FT4 levels., Results: During hospitalization, a total of 160 cases (5.1%) of CA-AKI occurred. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis indicated a linear and negative relationship between FT3/FT4 and CA-AKI risk (P for nonlinearity = 0.2621). Besides, the fully-adjusted logistic regression model revealed that patients in tertile 3 (low FT3/FT4 group) had 1.82 times [odds ratio (OR): 1.82, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.13-3.02, P = 0.016] as high as the risk of CA-AKI than those in tertile 1 (high FT3/FT4 group). Similarly, patients in tertile 3 were observed to have a higher incidence of long-term mortality [fully-adjusted hazard ratio (HR): 1.58, 95% CI: 1.07-2.32, P = 0.021]. Similarly, the Kaplan-Meier curves displayed significant differences in long-term mortality among the three groups (log-rank test, P < 0.001)., Conclusion: In euthyroid patients undergoing elective PCI, low levels of FT3/FT4 were independently associated with an increased risk of CA-AKI and long-term mortality. Routine evaluation of FT3/FT4 may aid in risk stratification and guide treatment decisions within this particular patient group., (© 2024. An unusual spiroannulation/cycloisomerization cascade of 3-(2-ethynylaryl)- N -tosylaziridines with indoles enabled by cooperative gold/scandium catalysis is presented, which facilitates the synthesis of 5 H -benzo[ b ]carbazoles in moderate to excellent yields. This protocol features a broad substrate scope and good functional-group compatibility. Additionally, the resulting 5 H -benzo[ b ]carbazoles exhibit good fluorescence properties, demonstrating the synthetic practicality of this method. Moreover, control experiments were performed to illustrate the reaction mechanism.

Background: Colorectal signet-ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) is a rare subtype of malignant adenocarcinoma, accounting for approximately 1 % of colorectal cancer (CRC) cases. Its biomarkers and molecular characteristics remain controversial, and there are no specific therapeutic targets or strategies for its clinical treatment., Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between January 2010 and December 2021. 1058 colorectal cancer cases from the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center and 489 cases from the Tumor Genome Atlas Project were included in the analysis, of which 64 were SRCC. Data extraction included patient demographics, blood types and risk factors, including clinical variables and genomics (either a 19-gene panel NGS or 1021-gene panel NGS). Univariate analyses were performed to identify factors significantly associated with overall survival., Results: The blood groups of 27 (42.2 %), 18 (28.1 %), 12 (18.8 %), and seven (10.9 %) patients were classified as O, A, B, and AB, respectively. We found that O was a unique blood group characterized by a low frequency of KRAS mutations, a high frequency of heterozygosity at each HLA class I locus, and a high tumor mutational burden (TMB). Patients in blood group A with high-frequency KRAS mutations and those in blood group B with anemia and metabolic abnormalities required targeted treatment. Background: The systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI), served as a novel inflammatory biomarker, is the synthesis of neutrophils, monocytes and lymphocytes., Aims: We hypothesized that SIRI has predictive value for contrast-associated acute kidney injury (CA-AKI) and long-term mortality in patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)., Methods: We retrospectively observed 5685 patients undergoing elective PCI from January 2012 to December 2018. Venous blood samples were collected to obtain the experimental data on the day of admission or the morning of the next day. SIRI = neutrophil count × monocyte count/lymphocyte count. CA-AKI was defined as an increase of 50% or 0.3 mg/dl in SCr from baseline within 48 h after contrast exposure., Results: The incidence of CA-AKI was 6.1% ( n  = 352). The best cutoff value of SIRI for predicting CA-AKI was 1.39, with a sensitivity of 52.3% and a specificity of 67.3%. [AUC: 0.620, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.590-0.651, p  < 0.001]. After adjusting for potential confounders, multivariate analysis showed that the high SIRI group (SIRI > 1.39) was a strong independent predictor of CA-AKI in patients undergoing elective PCI compared with the low SIRI group (SIRI ≤ 1.39) (odds ratio = 1.642, 95% CI: 1.274-2.116, p <  0.001). Additionally, COX regression analysis showed that SIRI > 1.39 was significantly associated with long-term mortality at a median follow-up of 2.8 years. [Hazard ratio (HR)=1.448, 95%CI: 1.188-1.765; p  < 0.001]. Besides, Kaplan-Meier survival curve also indicated that the cumulative rate of mortality was considerably higher in the high SIRI group., Conclusions: High levels of SIRI are independent predictors of CA-AKI and long-term mortality in patients undergoing elective PCI.

Activation of the NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome signaling pathway is an important mechanism underlying myocardial pyroptosis and plays an important role in inflammatory damage to myocardial tissue in patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), such as diabetic cardiomyopathy, ischemia/reperfusion injury, myocardial infarction, heart failure and hypertension. Noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) are important regulatory factors. Many Chinese medicine (CM) compounds, including their effective components, can regulate pyroptosis and exert myocardium-protecting effects. The mechanisms underlying this protection include inhibition of inflammasome protein expression, Toll-like receptor 4-NF-κB signal pathway activation, oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS), and mixed lineage kinase 3 expression and the regulation of silent information regulator 1. The NLRP3 protein is an important regulatory target for CVD prevention and treatment with CM. Exploring the effects of the interventions mediated by CM and the related mechanisms provides new ideas and perspectives for CVD prevention and treatment., (© 2024. In this study, we explored the thickness influence of undecomposed litter layer and semi-decomposed litter layer on the natural regeneration in an artificial pure forest of Larix principis-rupprechtii in the forest area of Guandi Mountain. We divided the litter into an undecomposed layer and a semi-decomposed layer, which was further divided into eight groups based on the thickness. The results showed that when the thickness of undecomposed layer was 0.32-0.83 cm, and that of semi-decomposed layer was 0.18-0.89 cm, the regeneration index was larger (≥0.15), and the regeneration was better. When the thickness of undecomposed layer was more than 1.1 cm and that of semi-decomposed layer was more than 0.5 cm, the regeneration index was smaller (≤0.07), and the rege-neration of understory was worse. Results of redundancy analysis showed that the undecomposed layer thickness of litter had a high and stable explanatory ability for natural regeneration, with a contribution rate of 38.7%, while the semi-decomposed layer thickness had no significant effect on natural regeneration. Structural equation modeling revealed that the thickness of undecomposed layer of litter increased the mechanical resistance to seed germination which had a negative direct effect on natural regeneration (-0.617), and a positive indirect effect on natural rege-neration by influencing the content of alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen and available phosphorus (+0.178). The combined effects (-0.439) showed an inhibitory effect on the natural regeneration. In conclusion, the thickness of undecomposed layer of litter under L. principis-rupprechtii was most closely related to natural regeneration, and the thickness of semi-decomposed layer had a minimal effect on natural regeneration.

Background: High density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) is considered as "good cholesterol". Recent evidence suggests that a high HDL-C level may increase the risk of poor outcomes in some populations., Purpose: To investigate the association between HDL-C levels and poor outcomes in patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)., Methods: Patients undergoing PCI during January 2012 and December 2018 were consecutively recruited and divided into three groups with different HDL-C levels: HDL-C ≤ 25 mg/dL, 25 < HDL-C ≤ 60 mg/dL, HDL-C > 60 mg/dL by the restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis and assessed for all-cause mortality (ACM). The association between HDL-C levels and poor outcomes was assessed by multivariable cox regression analysis., Results: The patients were followed with a median duration of 4 years. Of the 7284 participants, 727 all-cause deaths and 334 cardiovascular deaths occurred. A V-shaped association of HDL-C with the prognosis was observed, patients with either excessively low or high HDL-C levels reporting a higher risk than those with midrange values. After adjustment for confounding factors, the former exhibited a higher cumulative rate of ACM and cardiovascular mortality (CM) than the latter [low HDL-C: for ACM, hazard ratio (HR), 1.96; 95%CI, 1.41, 2.73, P < 0.001; for CM, HR, 1.66; 95%CI, 1.03, 2.67; P = 0.037; high HDL-C: for ACM, HR, 1.73; 95%CI, 1.29, 2.32, P < 0.001; for CM, HR, 1.73; 95%CI, 1.16, 2.58; P = 0.007]., Conclusion: HDL-C levels display a V-shaped association with poor outcomes in patients after PCI, with excessively high or low HDL-C suggesting a higher mortality risk. Purpose: Inflammation is commonly considered a mechanism underlying contrast-associated acute kidney injury (CA-AKI). This study aimed to explore the predictive capability of the novel inflammatory marker lactate dehydrogenase-to-albumin ratio (LAR) for CA-AKI following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and further compare it with other common inflammatory biomarkers., Methods: This study enrolled 5,435 patients undergoing elective PCI. The primary outcome was CA-AKI, and the secondary outcome was all-cause mortality. All patients were grouped into three groups based on the LAR tertiles., Results: Three hundred fifteen patients (5.8%) experienced CA-AKI during hospitalization. The fully adjusted logistic regression suggested a significant increase in the risk of CA-AKI in LAR Tertile 3 (odds ratio [OR]: 2.51, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.68-3.83, p < .001) and Tertile 2 (OR: 2.11, 95% CI: 1.42-3.20, p < .001) compared to Tertile 1. Additionally, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis demonstrated that LAR exhibited significantly superior predictive capability for CA-AKI compared to other inflammatory biomarkers. Regarding the secondary outcome, multivariate COX regression analysis showed a positive correlation between elevated LAR levels and all-cause mortality., Conclusion: In patients undergoing elective PCI, LAR was significantly independently associated with CA-AKI, and it stood out as the optimal inflammatory biomarker for predicting CA-AKI., (© 2024 The Authors. In this study, we analyzed the vertical distribution characteristics of root biomass density, root length density, root surface area density in monoculture and mixture of Pinus tabuliformis and Robinia pseudoacacia plantations in Caijiachuan small watershed of Jixian County, Shanxi. We examined their relationships with soil physical and chemical properties in different stand types. The results showed that the total root biomass density of P. tabuliformis and R. pseudoacacia in mixture was more than 75% higher than that in monoculture. Root system of P. tabuli-formis mainly distributed in shallow layer (0-40 cm), while that of R. pseudoacacia was deeper (40-80 cm). Fine roots were predominant in different diameter classes. Length density and surface area density of fine roots were in the order of R. pseudoacacia in mixture > P. tabuliformis in mixture > R. pseudoacacia stand > P. tabuliformis stand. Root biomass density of fine roots was in the order of P. tabuliformis in mixture ＞ R. pseudoacacia in mixture ＞ P. tabuliformis stand ＞ R. pseudoacacia stand. In vertical profile, the total root and fine root biomass, root length and root surface area density of P. tabuliformis stand, R. pseudoacacia stand, P. tabuliformis in mixture and R. pseudoacacia in mixture showed a rule of decreasing with the increases of soil depth. Under different stand types, fine root length density, root biomass density and total root length density were positively correlated with soil total nitrogen, soil organic carbon, and soil water contents. Total root surface area density was significantly positively correlated with soil organic carbon, soil water content, and soil total nitrogen. The distribution of roots in pure and mixed stands of P. tabuliformis and R. pseudoacacia showed different patterns. Compared with the pure stand, the mixed stand had higher root biomass, soil nutrient contents, and soil water content.

Stable isotope technique is important for understanding the structure and function of soil food web, which is considered as a belowground black box. We reviewed typical application cases of stable isotope techniques in the research of soil food webs, including to determine food sources and feeding preferences of soil fauna by using isotopes, and to analyze the trophic structure of soil food webs through isotope fractionation effects during the process of feeding and nutrient sequestration by soil fauna. Additionally, stable isotope techniques could reveal the role of soil biota at different trophic levels within soil food web in ecosystem matter and energy flow, which favored to carry out accurate and efficient research on the contribution of soil food webs to soil carbon and nitrogen cycling process and the corresponding influence mechanism. We further put forward the limitations of current stable isotope techniques and the future development directions.

We conducted a survey on seedlings (height <1 m) and saplings (height ≥1 m, diameter at breast height <5 cm) in 20 gaps of Larix principis-rupprechtii plantations on Guandi Mountains, Shanxi to analyze regene-ration density, growth indicators, and spatial distribution of L. principis-rupprechtii seedlings and saplings under four gap sizes (<60 m 2 , 60-120 m 2 , 120-180 m 2 , and ≥180 m 2 ). The results showed that growth indicators (ground diameter, height) of seedlings and saplings and regeneration density of seedlings were highest in small gaps (14-60 m 2 ). The sapling regeneration density was highest in medium gaps (60-120 m 2 ), and sapling density exceeded seedling density in each size category. L. principis-rupprechtii seedlings and saplings exhibited favorable regeneration in small and medium gaps, while large gaps (120-180 m 2 ) and extra-large gaps (≥180 m 2 ) were unfavorable for L. principis-rupprechtii regeneration. L. principis-rupprechtii seedlings and saplings were mainly distributed within the canopy projection area and along the edge of canopy gap area. Controlling gap size within the range of 14-120 m 2 through artificial interventions, such as planting and thinning, could promote the regeneration of L. principis-rupprechtii .

We analyzed the impacts of thinning intensity on the natural regeneration of Larix principis-rupprechtii in Shanxi Pangquangou Nature Reserve, with an experiment of five thinning intensities (5%, 25%, 45%, 65% and 85%). We constructed a structural equation model of thinning intensity-understory habitat-natural regeneration by using correlation analysis. The results showed that the regeneration index of moderate thinning (45%) and intensive thinning (85%) stand land was significantly higher than that of other thinning intensities. The constructed structural equation model had good adaptability. The effects of thinning intensity on each factor were as follows: soil alkali-hydrolyzable (-0.564) > regeneration index (0.548) > soil bulk density (-0.462) > average height of seed tree (-0.348) > herb coverage (-0.343) > soil organic matter (0.173) > undecomposed litter layer thickness (-0.146) > total soil nitrogen (0.110). Thinning intensity had a positive impact on the regeneration index, which was mainly through adjusting height of the seed tree, accelerating litter decomposition, improving soil physical and chemical properties, and thus indirectly promoting the natural regeneration of L. principis-rupprechtii . Tending thinning could effectively improve the survival environment of regeneration seedlings. From the perspective of natural regeneration of L. principis-rupprechtii , moderate thinning (45%) and intensive thinning (85%) were more reasonable in the follow-up forest management.

Vapor processing device is a device that can control the headspace pressure in the underground storage tanks and recover the vapor. By analyzing the chemical composition of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at the inlet and outlet of the vapor processing device, the ozone formation potential (OFP) and secondary organic aerosol formation potential (SOAP) were estimated by maximum incremental reaction (MIR) and fractional aerosol coefficients (FAC), and the secondary pollution formation contribution of VOCs were quantitatively evaluated. The results showed that:① the ρ (total volatile organic compounds, TVOC) at the inlet and outlet of the vapor processing device were 436-706 g·m -3 and 4.98-10.04 g·m -3 , respectively. Alkanes (72%±4%), oxygenated organics (14%±2%), and olefins (11%±5%) were the dominant components of VOCs emissions. There were little differences in VOCs emissions from the different vapor processing devices; the key species were i-pentane (approximately 25%), followed by n-butane, i-butane, and n-pentane. ② The ozone source reactivity (SR) of VOCs emissions from the outlet of the vapor processing device was 2.6-3.3 g·g -1 , and the OFP was 3.5-25.6 g·m -3 . Olefins contributed the most (43%-69%), followed by alkanes (20%-35%) and oxygenated organics (10%-22%). Butene, cis-2-butene, trans-2-butene, i-pentane, and propionaldehyde were the species that highly contributed to OFP. ③ Aromatics in VOCs emissions contributed the most to SOAP (80%-92%), and the main active species were toluene, 1, 2, 4-trimethylbenzene, 1, 3, 5-trimethylbenzene, and p -diethylbenzene. The research showed that different VOCs species emitted by the vapor processing device contributed obvious differences to the secondary atmospheric pollution, and butene species and aromatics such as toluene were the focus of VOCs emission control of vehicle gasoline and vapor processing device.

Objective: DEPDC1B, which encodes DEP domain-containing protein 1B, exerts pathogenic effects in diverse cancers, but no such effect has been reported in the case of lower-grade glioma (LGG). Therefore, we sought to investigate the relationship between DEPDC1B expression and the prognosis of patients with LGG and reveal the underlying molecular mechanism., Materials and Methods: First, RT-qPCR and immunohistochemical staining were used to examine DEPDC1B mRNA and protein expression in LGG. Second, transcriptomic data were collected from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas databases to investigate the impact of DEPDC1B expression on LGG patients by using the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, receiver operating characteristic analysis and Cox models. Third, the effects of DEPDC1B on LGG cell proliferation and migration were revealed using wound-healing and Cell Counting Kit-8 assays and Ki67 immunofluorescence staining. Fourth, the Tumor Immune Estimation Resource database was used to examine how DEPDC1B affects the LGG immune microenvironment, and gene set enrichment analysis was used to uncover the signaling pathways in which DEPDC1B is involved in LGG., Results: DEPDC1B was significantly upregulated in both LGG cells and tissues, and high expression of DEPDC1B contributed to poor prognosis of LGG patients and represented an independent risk factor for LGG. Moreover, DEPDC1B knockdown reduced the proliferation and migration abilities of LGG cells. Lastly, DEPDC1B was found to be positively associated with multiple immune infiltrates and immune-checkpoint markers., Conclusions: Our findings indicate for the first time that DEPDC1B is a pathogenic gene in LGG. More importantly, we provide a new biomarker and immunotherapeutic target for improving the diagnosis and treatment of LGG patients.

In this study, we analyzed the natural regeneration of Larix principis-rupprechtii pure plantations with stand densities of 128, 240, 320, 400, 480, 560, 640 and 720 trees·hm -2 in the Guandi Mountains and its influencing factors. The results showed that the regeneration index first increased and then decreased with the increases of stand density, and that the regeneration performance of stand with medium density (400-560 trees·hm -2 ) was significantly better than other stands. Light conditions, herbaceous plants and litter of the understory had a dual effect on the regeneration of L. principis-rupprechtii . Excessive light, herbaceous plant cover or over-thick litter was not instrumental to the regeneration. Soil organic matter promoted stand regeneration by providing soft soil texture, adequate water content, low phosphorus but high nitrogen. The effects of the examined factors on the regeneration index were as follows: soil water content (0.798) &gt; total nitrogen (0.621) &gt; litter thickness (-0.597) &gt; soil porosity (0.504) &gt; soil organic matter (0.493) &gt; total phosphorus (-0.404) &gt; transmitted total light (-0.274) &gt; herbaceous plants cover (-0.021). In the plantation management, stand density could be controlled at about 480 trees·hm -2 by thinning or replanting, while litter could be cleared properly to improve soil condition and to promote natural regeneration of L. principis-rupprechtii .

Objective: To evaluate the typing and clinical application effect based on clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPRs), serotype, and Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST). Methods: The spacers, serotype and sequence type (ST) were obtained with CRISPRsFinder, SeroTypeFinder and MLST. PCR was used to amplify the CRISPRs, and the spacers were used to predict serotype and ST, then comparing with the serotype and ST. Results: We defined the I-E CRISPR/Cas as CT-Ⅰ, I-F CRISPR/Cas as CT-Ⅱ, and only CRISPR3-4 as CT-Ⅲ. We designated each unique arrangement spacer profile as a unique CRISPRs type. A total of 79 CT types, 76 serotypes, and 66 STs were identified. The CRISPRs typing was the most discriminating, with the Simpson index of 0.936, having the highest correlation with serology with the adjusted Rand index of 0.908. The CRISPRs type could divide the same serotype (ST) into two subtypes [O157∶H7(ST11), O104∶H4(ST678), and O26∶H11(ST21)]. The detection rates of CRISPR1, CRISPR2, CRISPR3, CRISPR4, and CRISPR3-4 were 81.1%, 94.5%, 1.4%, 1.4%, and 4.6%, with the accuracy rate of 95.0% and 100.0% according to the spacers to forecast O157∶H7 (ST11) and ST131. Conclusion: Based on the CRISPRs spacer, this method can be used as an essential molecular typing for E.coli , as it presents a good typing and clinical application effect.

This study focused on the effects of music intervention on fetal education in pregnant women. The fetal heart rate of the fetus at 30-38 weeks of gestational age was monitored by an ultrasound Doppler fetal monitor, and differences in the frequency of fetal movement responses to familiar and unfamiliar music courses were recorded and analyzed. The analysis results showed that the fetuses had less fetal movement to fixed singing activities, with a mean of 0.7 and a standard deviation of 0.79. On the contrary, the fetuses had significant fetal movement responses to irregular singing, with a mean of 1.73 and a standard deviation of 1.37. The results showed that the fetus receives external sounds through hearing, and a pregnant woman singing fixed music to her fetus can stabilize the frequency of fetal movement, promote the health of herself and the fetus, and establish maternal-fetal bonding.

Objective: To analyze the course of disease and epidemiological parameters of COVID-19 and provide evidence for making prevention and control strategies. Methods: To display the distribution of course of disease of the infectors who had close contacts with COVID-19 cases from January 1 to March 15, 2020 in Guangdong Provincial, the models of Lognormal, Weibull and gamma distribution were applied. A descriptive analysis was conducted on the basic characteristics and epidemiological parameters of course of disease. Results: In total, 515 of 11 580 close contacts were infected, with an attack rate about 4.4%, including 449 confirmed cases and 66 asymptomatic cases. Lognormal distribution was fitting best for latent period, incubation period, pre-symptomatic infection period of confirmed cases and infection period of asymptomatic cases; Gamma distribution was fitting best for infectious period and clinical symptom period of confirmed cases; Weibull distribution was fitting best for latent period of asymptomatic cases. The latent period, incubation period, pre-symptomatic infection period, infectious period and clinical symptoms period of confirmed cases were 4.50 (95% CI :3.86-5.13) days, 5.12 (95% CI :4.63-5.62) days, 0.87 (95% CI :0.67-1.07) days, 11.89 (95% CI :9.81-13.98) days and 22.00 (95% CI :21.24-22.77) days, respectively. The latent period and infectious period of asymptomatic cases were 8.88 (95% CI :6.89-10.86) days and 6.18 (95% CI :1.89-10.47) days, respectively. Conclusion: The estimated course of COVID-19 and related epidemiological parameters are similar to the existing data.

Two new dammarane-type triterpenoids, notoginsenoside SY3 ( 1 ) and notoginsenoside SY4 ( 2 ), were isolated from the steamed roots of Panax notoginseng . Their structures were determined to be 3 β , 12 β , 20( S )-trihydroxy-27-anordammar-23(24)( E )-ene-3- O - β -D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)- β -D-glucopyranoside ( 1 ) and 3 β , 12 β , 20( S )-trihydroxy-25-methoxyldammar-23(24)( E )-ene-3- O - β -D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)- β -D-glucopyranoside ( 2 ) by IR, HRESIMS and NMR experiments.

Background: Salvianolate, a common drug for stabilizing heart disease and Angina Pectoris, is considered to be off-label for preventing venous thromboembolism (VTE) or anticoagulation at present. However, many clinical studies have showed that salvianolate can effectively inhibit the deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) incidence, and prevent VTE of perioperative patients in the real world in China., Objective: This analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of salvianolate in preventing VTE in perioperative patients., Methods: Databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP were searched until July 2019. Literature retrieval, data extraction and quality assessment were independently completed by two researchers and checked with each other. Review Manager 5.2 software was applied for meta-analysis., Results: A total of 429 studies were retrieved, including 11 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with a total of 1149 subjects. Compared with low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) group alone, salvianolate combined LMWH group had lower DVT incidence in preventing perioperative thrombosis (2.75% and 14.23%, OR: 0.21, 95% CI:[0.08,0.53]; P = .0009). The incidence of adverse reactions of experimental group was similar to that of control group (1.79% and 2.31%, OR: 0.65, 95% CI:[0.18,2.35]. P = .51). Compared with the control group, D-dimer level (D-D), platelet count (PLT), fibrinogen (FIB), whole blood high shear viscosity (WBHSV), and whole blood low shear viscosity (WBLSV) were all significantly decreased (P < .01), and prothrombin time (PT) was significantly increased (P < .05)., Conclusion: Salvianolate combined LMWH has better effectiveness and the same safety in preventing venous thromboembolism in perioperative patients. Phenotypic plasticity affords invasive plant species the ability to colonize a wide range of habitats, but physiological plasticity of their stems is seldom recognized. Investigation of the stem plasticity of invasive plant species could lead to a better understanding of their invasiveness. We performed pot experiments involving defoliation treatments and isolated culture experiments to determine whether the invasive species Mikania micrantha exhibits greater plasticity in the stems than do three non-invasive species that co-occur in southern China and then explored the mechanism underlying the modification of its stem photosynthesis. Our results showed that the stems of M. micrantha exhibited higher plasticity in terms of either net or gross photosynthetic rate in response to the defoliation treatment. These effects were positively related to an increased stem elongation rate. The enhancement of stem photosynthesis in M. micrantha resulted from the comprehensive action involving increases in the Chl a / b ratio, D1 protein and stomatal aperture, changes in chloroplast morphology and a decrease in anthocyanins. Increased plasticity of stem photosynthesis may improve the survival of M. micrantha under harsh conditions and allow it to rapidly recover from defoliation injuries. How to determine the soil health status effectively is the basic issue to realize the agriculture green development. In the existing soil health assessment system, the importance of soil organi-sms in the maintenance of soil health is rarely considered. From the perspective of soil biological health, we discussed the connotation of soil health, and summarized the biological indicators of soil health, including soil microorganisms, soil enzyme activity, soil micro-food web and earthworm. Based on the above-mentioned indicators, the regulation approaches were elaborated from the aspects of crop and soil management practices. In addition, the future research on soil biological health was prospected. The main aim of this study is to enhance the understanding of scientists and decision makers on the maintenance of soil biological health, and to give full consideration of the important role of soil organisms in ecosystem services.

A large soft-cavity host composed of 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene (DITFB) and 4-biphenylpyridine N-oxide (BPNO) is assembled under the mediation of a planar aromatic guest molecule (pyrene or perylene) through C-I⋅⋅⋅ - O-N + halogen bonds and π-hole⋅⋅⋅π bonds. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that guest molecules can be completely encapsulated in the four-layer host cavity to assemble ternary host-guest cocrystals; namely, Pyr@DITFB ⋅ BPNO and Per@DITFB ⋅ BPNO. The luminescence of these ternary cocrystals originates from their discrete guest molecules, which exhibit pure-blue and yellow emissions, respectively, that are localized at 425 nm and in the range of 485 to 578 nm, respectively. In addition, the contribution of different fragments to the stabilization of the crystal structure is estimated by computational chemistry. Background: To investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-negative patients with Talaromyces marneffei ( T. marneffei ) infection., Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical information of HIV-negative patients with T. marneffei infection from January 1, 2010 to June 30, 2019, and analyzed the related risk factors of poor prognosis., Results: Twenty-five cases aging 22 to 79 years were included. Manifestations of T. marneffei infection included fever, cough, dyspnea, chest pain or distress, lymphadenopathy, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and/or skin lesions, bone or joint pain, edema and pain in the lower extremities, digestive symptoms, icterus, malaise, and hoarseness. Two cases had no comorbidity, while 23 cases suffered from autoimmune disease, pulmonary disease, cancer, and other chronic diseases. Sixteen cases had a medication history of glucocorticoids, chemotherapy or immunosuppressors. Pulmonary lesions included interstitial infiltration, nodules, atelectasis, cavitary lesions, pleural effusion or hydropneumothorax, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary edema, and consolidation. The incidence of osteolytic lesions was 20%. Eight patients received antifungal monotherapy, and 11 patients received combined antifungal agents. Fifteen patients survived and ten patients were dead. The Cox regression analysis showed that reduced eosinophil counts, higher levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), myoglobin (Mb), procalcitonin (PCT), and galactomannan were related to poor prognosis (hazard ratio [ HR ]>1, P <0.05)., Conclusions: Bone destruction is common in HIV-negative patients with T. marneffei infection. Objective: To systematically compare the effect of Roux-en-Y with Billroth Ⅰ or Billroth Ⅱ in gastric cancer patients after distal gastrectomy by meta-analysis. Methods: Systematic search was conducted on the relevant electronic databases of Pubmed, Embase, Wanfang Database, CNKI and VIP from the established time to August 18, 2019. The randomized controlled trials about comparison of Roux-en-Y with Billroth Ⅰ or Billroth Ⅱ were strictly screened and analyzed by the software of Revman 5.3. Procedure and postoperative outcomes were analyzed, respectively. Results: A total of 783 relevant literatures were systematically retrieved, and 6 randomized controlled trials, including 954 patients, finally met the inclusion criteria after strict screening. The results of meta-analysis showed that operative time of Billroth Ⅰ was significantly shorter than that of Roux-en-Y ( MD =-37.60, 95 %CI :-50.79--24.40, P< 0.001), intraoperative bleeding ( MD =-21.64, 95 %CI :-32.20--11.07, P< 0.001) and the number of delayed gastric emptying ( RR= 0.52, 95 %CI : 0.31-0.86, P= 0.01) of Billroth Ⅰ were both significantly less than those of Roux-en-Y, while bile reflux ( RR= 8.17, 95 %CI : 2.21-31.53, P= 0.002) and residual gastritis ( RR= 1.75, 95 %CI :1.43-2.14, P< 0.000 01) of Billroth Ⅰ were both significantly higher than those of Roux-en-Y, other outcomes showed no significant difference. Compared with Roux-en-Y, operative time of Billroth Ⅱ was significantly shorter ( MD =-19.73, 95 %CI :-32.82--6.64, P= 0.003), while bile reflux ( RR= 17.63, 95 %CI : 4.50-69.02, P< 0.001), residual gastritis ( RR= 1.94, 95 %CI :1.15-3.26, P= 0.01) and reflux esophagitis ( RR= 3.13, 95 %CI : 1.31-7.45, P= 0.01) of Billroth Ⅱ were all significantly higher, and there was no significant difference in other outcomes. Conclusion: Compared with Billroth Ⅰ and Billroth Ⅱ, the operation time of Roux-en-Y in gastric cancer patients undergoing distal gastrectomy is longer, but the incidences of bile reflux and residual gastritis are both lower, and the postoperative quality of life seems better.

Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of the cases firstly reported as "asymptomatic infection of COVID-19" in Guangdong province. Methods: The follow-up observation method was used to continuously track and observe the cases firstly reported as "asymptomatic patients with COVID-19" in Guangdong province from January 14 to March 31, 2020. The epidemiological data of the cases were collected to analyze their epidemiological characteristics, outcome and influencing factors. Results: From January 14 to March 31, 2020, a total of 325 cases were firstly reported as "asymptomatic infections of COVID-19" in Guangdong province. The epidemic curve of asymptomatic infection cases was similar to that of confirmed cases, and it had two peaks. The first peak was from January 27 to February 5, and the second peak was from March 17 to March 26. Of the 325 cases, 184 (56.6%) were subsequently converted to confirmed cases. These cases were defined as incubation period asymptomatic infection cases. The age median of the cases was 40 years, and 93.5% (172/184) of the cases showed symptoms within 3 days after the first positive nucleic acid tests were conducted, and 141 (43.4%) of the 325 cases remained asymptomatic status until they were cured and discharged. They were inapparent infection cases, accounting for 8.6% (141/1 642) of those diagnosed with COVID-19 in Guangdong province during the same period. The age median of inapparent infection cases was 27 years. The median of the interval between the first positive nucleic acid test and discharge was 14 days. Up to 90.8% (138/141) of the inapparent infection cases were discharged for centralized medical observation within 28 days. The longest interval between the first positive nucleic acid test and the last positive nucleic acid test was 73 days. The positive rate of nucleic acid test was 0.3% in close contacts of inapparent infection cases and 2.2% in close contacts of incubation period asymptomatic infection cases. There were significant differences in age distribution and source of infection between incubation period asymptomatic infection cases and inapparent infection cases ( P <0.05). Old age was the risk factor for the conversion of firstly reported asymptomatic infection cases to confirmed cases. Compared with the 0-19-year-old group, The patients aged 40-59 years and 60 years and above were more likely to become confirmed cases. The OR (95 %CI ) values were 2.730 (1.380-5.402) and 5.302 (2.199-12.783), and P values were 0.004 and 0.000, respectively. People being infected in China were more likely to become confirmed cases ( OR =7.121, P =0.000). Conclusions: There were asymptomatic infection cases among patients diagnosed with COVID-19. The infectiousness of incubation period asymptomatic infection cases might be stronger than that of inapparent infection cases. The proportion of younger cases among asymptomatic infection cases was higher than that of the confirmed cases. Old age and domestic infection were the risk factors for the conversion of asymptomatic infection cases to confirmed cases, to which more attention should be paid. Further serological investigations are needed to provide a basis for the development of COVID-19 prevention and control strategies.

Objective: To explore the safety and feasibility of indocyanine green (ICG) injection through accessory incision in laparoscopic right hemicolectomy. Methods: A descriptive case series study was carried out. Clinicopathological data of 29 patients with colon cancer undergoing right hemicolectomy at Department of General Surgery, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. All the patients received ICG injection through accessory incision at the beginning of operation. Results: Among 29 patients, 13 were male and 16 were female with a mean age of (60.8±7.7) years and mean body mass index of (24.3±2.8) kg/m(2); 3 were stage I, 19 were stage II, 7 were stage III. Pericolic, intermediate and main lymph nodes could be detected under near infrared fluorescence imaging (NIRFI) in all the cases. No.6 lymph nodes were observed in 3 cases, while no lymph nodes around superior mesenteric vein (SMV) were found. The average number of fluorescent lymph node was 14.2±6.1. The average developing time of fluorescence was (36.2±3.7) minutes. The average number of harvested lymph nodes was 22.4±8.2. There was no extravasation of imaging agent during the operation, and there were no intraoperative complications such as allergies, massive abdominal bleeding, peripheral organ damage, etc. Operative time was (113.1±10.7) minutes, blood loss during operation was (22.4±3.9) ml, ambulatory time was (1.2±0.4) days, time to the first flatus was (1.7±0.7) days, time to the first fluid diet was (0.7±0.4) days, and postoperative hospital stay was (5.8±1.5) days. No operation-associated complications such as anastomotic bleeding, anastomotic leakage, peritoneal bleeding, peritoneal infection, incision infection occurred after operation. Conclusion: ICG injection through accessory incision in laparoscopic right hemicolectomy is safe and feasible.

Objective: To understand the current practice of preoperative bowel preparation in elective colorectal surgery in China. Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted through wechat. The content of the questionnaire survey included professional title of the participants, the hospital class, dietary preparation and protocol, oral laxatives and specific types, oral antibiotics, gastric intubation, and mechanical enema before elective colorectal surgery. A stratified analysis based on hospital class was conducted to understand their current practice of preoperative bowel preparation in elective colorectal surgery. Result: A total of 600 questionnaires were issued, and 516 (86.00%) questionnaires of participants from different hospitals, engaged in colorectal surgery or general surgeons were recovered, of which 366 were from tertiary hospitals (70.93%) and 150 from secondary hospitals (29.07%). For diet preparation, the proportions of right hemicolic, left hemicolic and rectal surgery were 81.59% (421/516), 84.88% (438/516) and 84.88% (438/516) respectively. The average time of preoperative dietary preparation was 2.03 days. The study showed that 85.85% (443/516) of surgeons chose oral laxatives for bowel preparation in all colorectal surgery, while only 4.26% (22/516) of surgeons did not choose oral laxatives. For mechanical enema, the proportions of right hemicolic, left hemicolic and rectal surgery were 19.19% (99/516), 30.04% (155/516) and 32.75% (169/516) respectively. Preoperative oral antibiotics was used by 34.69% (179/516) of the respondents. 94.38% (487/516) of participants were satisfied with bowel preparation, and 55.43% (286/516) of participants believed that preoperative bowel preparation was well tolerated. In terms of preoperative oral laxatives, there was no statistically significant difference between different levels of hospitals [secondary hospitals vs. tertiary hospitals: 90.00% (135/150) vs. 84.15% (308/366), χ(2)=2.995, P =0.084]. Compared with the tertiary hospitals, the surgeons in the secondary hospitals accounted for higher proportions in diet preparation [87.33% (131/150) vs. 76.78% (281/366), χ(2)=7.369, P =0.007], gastric intubation [54.00% (81/150) vs. 36.33% (133/366), χ(2)=13.672, P <0.001], preoperative oral antibiotics [58.67% (88/150) vs. 24.86% (91/366), χ(2)=12.259, P <0.001] and enema [28.67% (43/150) vs. 15.30% (56/366), χ(2)=53.661, P <0.001]. Conclusion: Although the preoperative bowel preparation practice in elective colorectal surgery for most of surgeons in China is basically the same as the current international protocol, the proportions of mechanical enema and gastric intubation before surgery are still relatively high.

Covering: 2009 to 2018. Diterpenoid alkaloids, originating from the amination of natural tetracyclic diterpenes, are a diverse class of compounds having complex structural features with many stereocenters. The important pharmacological activities and structural complexity of the diterpenoid alkaloids have long interested scientists due to their medicinal uses, infamous toxicity, and unique biosynthesis. Since 2009, 373 diterpenoid alkaloids, assigned to 46 skeletons, have been isolated and identified from plants mostly in the Ranunculaceae family. The names, classes, molecular weight, molecular formula, NMR data, and plant sources of these diterpene alkaloids are collated here. This review will be a detailed update of the naturally occurring diterpene alkaloids reported from the plant kingdom from 2009-2018, providing an in-depth discussion of their diversity, biological activities, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, application, evolution, and biosynthesis.

Aging is associated with structural and functional changes in the heart and is a major risk factor in developing cardiovascular disease. Many recent studies have focused on increasing our understanding of the basis of aging at the cellular and molecular levels in various tissues, including the heart. It is known that there is an age-related decline in cellular quality control pathways such as autophagy and mitophagy, which leads to accumulation of potentially harmful cellular components in cardiac myocytes. There is evidence that diminished autophagy and mitophagy accelerate the aging process, while enhancement preserves cardiac homeostasis and extends life span. Here, we review the current knowledge of autophagy and mitophagy in aging and discuss how age-associated alterations in these processes contribute to cardiac aging and age-related cardiovascular diseases., (Copyright © 2020 Liang and Gustafsson.)

Phosphorothioation (PT) involves the replacement of a nonbridging phosphate oxygen on the DNA backbone with sulfur. In bacteria, the procedure is both sequence- and stereo-specific. We reconstituted the PT reaction using purified DndCDE from Salmonella enterica and IscS from Escherichia coli. We determined that the in vitro process of PT was oxygen sensitive. Only one strand on a double-stranded (ds) DNA substrate was modified in the reaction. The modification was dominant between G and A in the GAAC/GTTC conserved sequence. The modification between G and T required the presence of PT between G and A on the opposite strand. Cysteine, S-adenosyl methionine (SAM) and the formation of an iron-sulfur cluster in DndCDE (DndCDE-FeS) were essential for the process. Results from SAM cleavage reactions support the supposition that PT is a radical SAM reaction. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) promoted the reaction but was not essential. The data and conclusions presented suggest that the PT reaction in bacteria involves three steps. Aims: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the main cause of blindness in adults and investigating new therapeutic targets for DR is necessary. This study aimed to investigate the effect of high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) protein and its mechanism in diabetic retinopathy (DR) were investigated., Main Methods: Human retinal endothelial cells (HREC) were uesd for chip-seq. Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into control group, HMGB1 group, diabetes mellitus (DM) combined with HMGB1 siRNA group, and DM group. Next, eyeballs were removed and retinas were detached for western blot. The DM model of cell was built by increasing the glucose concentration in cell culture medium. The regulation of HMGB1 was achieved by short hairpin (sh)-HMGB1 transfection, then, the transfected cells were harvested for luciferase assay, western blot and qRT-PCR analyses as well as proliferation and apoptosis detection., Key Findings: Chip-seq and luciferase assay showed the possible transcription factor functions of HMGB1 and IKB-α was one of the HMGB1 binding sites. In vivo and in vitro results indicated high expression of HMGB1 and NF-kB and low expression of IKB-α in DR and the expression of IKB-α and NF-kB was regulated by HMGB1. Moreover, cell assays showed that HMGB1 inhibited cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis., Significance: The results from the present study showed that HMGB1 may be involved in the pathogenesis of DR as a transcription factor through NF-kB pathway. Acute lung injury (ALI) caused by sepsis occurs early and the condition is severe, and is also an important reason for accelerating the death of patients. Increasing evidence has identified long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) metastasis associated in lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) as a regulator of ALI. However, the potential mechanism underlying MALAT1 on ALI still needs further identification. To explore the mechanisms of gene regulation expression mediated by MALAT1 through miR-149/MyD88 in lung injury inflammation, we constructed a lung injury inflammatory model using the lipopolysaccharides (LPS)-induced method and quantificated the cytokines and signaling cascade molecules as well as miR-149. The MALAT1, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and IL-6 levels were significantly increased, and the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathway was activated, but the miR-149 level was decreased in the LPS-induced ALI model. miR-149 directly targeted both lncRNA MALAT1 and the MyD88 gene. Knockdown of MALAT1 down-regulated the levels of MyD88, TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, and inhibited the NF-κB pathway. However, MALAT1 knockdown up-regulated the expression of miR-149. Overexpression of miR-149 down-regulated MyD88, TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels, and inhibited the NF-κB pathway. Background: Hepatic dysfunction and coagulopathy are common in acute dengue illness. We analyzed the trajectories of the above parameters in the survivors and fatal patients in the outbreak in Tainan, 2015., Methods: A retrospective study was conducted using data from a tertiary hospital between January and December 2015. Multilevel modeling (MLM) was used to identify the changes in aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), and platelet counts from Day 0 to Day 7 of the onset of dengue infection. The machine-learning algorithm was used by purity measure assumption to calculate the accuracy of serum transaminases and coagulation variables to discriminate between the fatal and survival groups., Results: There were 4,069 dengue patients, of which 0.9% died in one week after illness onset (i.e., early mortality). Case fatality rate was the highest for those aged ≥70 years. Both AST and ALT values of the fatal group were significantly higher than those of the survivor group from Day 3 (AST median, 624 U/L vs. 60 U/L, p < 0.001; ALT median, 116 U/L vs. 29 U/L, p = 0.01) of illness onset and peaked on Day 6 (AST median, 9805 U/L vs. 90 U/L, p < 0.001; ALT median, 1504 U/L vs. 49 U/L, p < 0.001). AST ≥ 203 U/L, ALT ≥ 55 U/L, AST2/ALT criteria ≥337.35, or AST/platelet count ratio index (APRI) ≥ 19.18 on Day 3 of dengue infection had a high true positive rate, 90%, 78%, 100%, or 100%, respectively, of early mortality. The platelet counts of the fatal group declined significantly than those of the survivor group since Day 3 of illness onset (median, 19 x103/μl vs. 91 x103/μl, p < 0.01), and aPTT values of the fatal group significantly prolonged longer since Day 5 (median, 68.7 seconds vs. 40.1 seconds, p < 0.001)., Conclusions: AST, ALT, and platelet counts should be monitored closely from Day 0 to Day 3 of dengue infection, and aPTT be followed up on Day 5 of infection to identify the individuals at risk for early mortality., Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.

The primary assemblies of the supramolecular polymer can further undertake secondary self-assembly by interfacial host-guest connections, which can be manipulated by light stimuli to convert into discrete primary assemblies.
