It is an important mission of medical schools in the new era to cultivate high-quality talents with social responsibility and patriotism family, humanistic qualities, innovative spirit, practical skill and global vision, to be socialist qualified builders and reliable successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor. The ideological and political construction of the curriculum is an necessary pathway for medical schools to improve the professional quality of medical students and cultivate medical workers with good medical ethics and medical style, and is of far-reaching significance for cultivating the health guardians and successors of the medical and health undertakings with skills, feelings and responsibilities. This article raises some suggestions for the ideological and political construction integrated into medical school courses from the perspective of building an online platform as an ideological and political teaching resources for students.

The selective recognition of target ions in water is very important and the development of novel water-soluble chemosensor is still an intriguing challenge. Herein, a novel water-soluble fluorescent sensor based on aspartic acid (Asp) functionalized 1,8-naphthalimide derivative (Asp-NI) has been designed and synthesized. The sensor Asp-NI could dissolve in water and successively detect [Fe.sup.3+] and [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-] in water solution with high selectivity and sensitivity. The detection limits are 4.97 X [10.sup.-7] mol/L for [Fe.sup.3+] and 5.27 X [10.sup.-6] mol/L for [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-]. Other coexistent competitive metal ions ([Hg.sup.2+],[Ag.sup.+],[Ca.sup.2+],[Cu.sup.2+],[Co.sup.2+], [Ni.sup.2+],[Cd.sup.2+],[Pb.sup.2+],[Zn.sup.2+],[Cr.sup.3+], and [Mg.sup.2+]) showed no interference in the [Fe.sup.3+] detection process. The sensor Asp-NI could act as a [Fe.sup.3+] and [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-] controlled 'On-Off-On' fluorescent switch. More interestingly, the [Fe.sup.3+] induced fluorescence quenching process could be totally reversed by the addition of [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-], this 'On-Off-On' switching process could be repeated several times with little fluorescence loss. Notably, the actual usage of sensor Asp-NI was further demonstrated by test kits. La detection selective d'ions cibles dans l'eau revet une grande importance, et la mise au point de nouveaux capteurs chimiques demeure un defi fascinant. Dans le cadre des presents travaux, nous avons concu et synthetise un nouveau capteur de fluorescence hydrosoluble fonde sur un derive de 1,8-naphtalimide fonctionnalise par un groupe acide aspartique (Asp-NI). Le capteur Asp-NI etait soluble dans l'eau et permettait de detecter successivement des ions [Fe.sup.3+] et [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-] en solution dans l'eau avec une selectivite et une sensibilite elevees. Le capteur Asp-NI pouvait agir comme interrupteur de fluorescence de type << marche-arret-marche >> commande par les ions [Fe.sup.3+] et [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-]. Fait encore plus interessant, le processus d'extinction de fluorescence induit par les ions [Fe.sup.3+] pouvait etre completement renverse par l'ajout d'ions [H.sub.2][[PO.sub.4].sup.-]; ce processus d'alternance << marche-arret-marche >> pouvait etre repete plusieurs fois sans perte notable de fluorescence. We design and synthesize a novel bifunctional supramolecular pseudorotaxane chemosensor (G-WAP), which uses water soluble cationic pillar[5]arene (WAP) as the host and a phenazine imidazole (G) as guest. The real-time fluorescence response did show efficient quenching of the supramolecular pseudorotaxane chemosensor (G-WAP) upon the addition of Ag+ and an obvious fluorescence color change of the supramolecular pseudorotaxane chemosensor (G-WAP) is observed upon the addition of Hg2+. Excellent sensitivity and selectivity toward the Hg2+ and Ag+ detection were verified in the presence of other competitive cations, and the detection limits of G-WAP for Ag+ is 1.2 × 10−8 M, for Hg2+ is 5.0 × 10−7 M. Consequently, this supramolecular pseudorotaxane chemosensor proved to be an efficient tool in the identification of mercury and silver ions in water. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new organoclay, consisting of montmorillonite modified by a hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium (HDTMA) microemulsion, was synthesized, characterized and used as an adsorbent for the removal of o-nitrobenzoic acid from aqueous solution. Adsorption kinetics, isotherms and effects of operating variables, such as adsorbent dosage, ionic strength and initial solution pH, were also investigated. The results of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and BET surface area determination indicated that HDTMA molecules had entered into the interlayer of the montmorillonite. The optimized experimental conditions for the adsorption of o-nitrobenzoic acid by montmorillonite modified by HDTMA microemulsion were 0.5 g adsorbent dosage, 0.4 mL of 0.1 mol·lbL-1 CaCl2 solution, initial solution pH of 6.0 and contact time of 6 h. The adsorption isotherms of o-nitrobenzoic acid fitted the Langmuir model well (R2 = 0.9880). The adsorption kinetics data fitted the pseudo-second-order equation (R2 = 0.9999). These above results indicate that montmorillonite modified by an HDTMA microemulsion can be used as adsorbent for o-nitrobenzoic acid because of its high adsorption capacity and low cost. Objective: To determine whether the matrix metalloproteinase 9 gene (MMP9) polymorphism is associated with the onset or progression of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) in Chinese Han female., Methods: Three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (rs17576, rs2250889, rs1805088) were genotyped through TaqMan-based real-time PCR assay in 190 AIS patients and 190 controls, all of whom were females from Chinese Han population with matched age. Analyses performed included Hardy Weinberg equilibrium test, Pearson chi-square test, Logistic regression analysis, linkage disequilibrium analysis and haplotype analysis. The mean maximum Cobb angles with different genotypes in case-only dataset were also compared., Results: All 3 SNPs have reached Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the controls. Genotype and allele frequencies of all SNPs were found similar between cases and controls by Pearson chi-square test and Logistic regression. Genotype-phenotype analysis showed that patients with CC genotype in rs2250889 featured larger maximum Cobb angles., Conclusion: MMP9 may not be a predisposition gene of AIS in Han female. However, homozygous mutation in rs2250889 can render scoliosis more severe, implying that MMP9 defect may result in deterioration of AIS.
