Incorporating valley as a degree of freedom into quantum anomalous Hall systems offers a novel approach to manipulating valleytronics in electronic transport. Using the Kane-Mele monolayer as a concrete model, we comprehensively explore the various topological phases in the presence of inequivalent exchange fields and reveal the roles of the interfacial Rashba effect and external electric field in tuning topological valley-polarized states. We find that valley-polarized states can be realized by introducing Kane-Mele spin-orbit coupling and inequivalent exchange fields. Further introducing Rashba spin-orbit coupling and an electric field into the system can lead to diverse topological states, such as the valley-polarized quantum anomalous Hall effect with $\mathcal{C}=~\pm 1,\pm 2$ and valley-contrasting states with $\mathcal{C}=0$. Remarkably, different valley-polarized topological states can be continuously tuned by varying the strength and direction of the external electric field in a fixed system. Our work demonstrates the tunability of topological states in valley-polarized quantum anomalous Hall systems and provides an ideal platform for applications in electronic transport devices in topological valleytronics.

Driven by powerful image diffusion models, recent research has achieved the automatic creation of 3D objects from textual or visual guidance. By performing score distillation sampling (SDS) iteratively across different views, these methods succeed in lifting 2D generative prior to the 3D space. However, such a 2D generative image prior bakes the effect of illumination and shadow into the texture. As a result, material maps optimized by SDS inevitably involve spurious correlated components. The absence of precise material definition makes it infeasible to relight the generated assets reasonably in novel scenes, which limits their application in downstream scenarios. In contrast, humans can effortlessly circumvent this ambiguity by deducing the material of the object from its appearance and semantics. Motivated by this insight, we propose MaterialSeg3D, a 3D asset material generation framework to infer underlying material from the 2D semantic prior. Based on such a prior model, we devise a mechanism to parse material in 3D space. We maintain a UV stack, each map of which is unprojected from a specific viewpoint. After traversing all viewpoints, we fuse the stack through a weighted voting scheme and then employ region unification to ensure the coherence of the object parts. To fuel the learning of semantics prior, we collect a material dataset, named Materialized Individual Objects (MIO), which features abundant images, diverse categories, and accurate annotations. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.

We propose to realize quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) in two-dimensional antiferromagnetic topological insulators. We consider antiferromagnetic MnBi$_2$Te$_4$ as a concrete example. In contrast to the even-layer A-type antiferromagnetic MnBi$_2$Te$_4$ that has zero Chern number due to the combined parity-time ($\mathcal{PT}$) symmetry, the system can host a nonzero Chern number by breaking this symmetry. We show that by controlling the antiferromagnetic spin configuration, for example, down/up/up/down, to break $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry, tetralayer antiferromagnetic MnBi$_2$Te$_4$ can realize QAHE with Chern number $\mathcal{C}=-1$. Such spin configuration can be stablized by pinning the spin orientations on top and bottom layers. Furthermore, we reveal that the edge states are layer-selective and primarily locate at the boundaries of the bottom and top layers. In addition, via tuning the on-site orbital energy which determines the inverted band gap, we find tunable Chern number from $\mathcal{C}=-1$ to $\mathcal{C}=2$ and then to $\mathcal{C}=-1$. Our work not only proposes a scheme to realize Chern number tunable QAHE in antiferromagnets without net spin magnetization, but also provide a platform for layer-selective dissipationless transport devices.

This study delves into Microtearing Modes (MTMs) in tokamak plasmas, employing advanced simulations within the BOUT++ framework. The research, centering on collisional MTMs influenced by the time-dependent thermal force, enhances our understanding of plasma dynamics. It achieves this through the simplification and linearization of control equations in detailed linear simulations. The study meticulously evaluates various conductivity models, including those proposed by Larakers, Drake, and Hassam, under diverse plasma conditions and collision regimes. A notable achievement of this research is the derivation of a unified dispersion relation that encompasses both MTM and Drift-Alfven Wave (DAW) instabilities. It interestingly reveals that DAW and MTM exhibit instability at different proximities to the rational surface. Specifically, MTMs become unstable near the rational surface but stabilize farther away, whereas the drift-Alfven instability manifests away from the rational surface. Further, the study re-derives MTM dispersion relations based on Ohm's law and the vorticity equation, providing a thorough analysis of electromagnetic and electrostatic interactions in tokamaks. Global simulations demonstrate an inverse correlation between MTM growth rates and collisionality, and a direct correlation with temperature gradients. The nonalignment of the rational surface with the peak of electron local diamagnetic frequency stabilizes the MTMs. Nonlinear simulations highlight electron temperature relaxation as the primary saturation mechanism for MTMs, with magnetic flutter identified as the dominant mode of electron thermal transport., Comment: 31 pages, 13 figures

Transfer learning has aroused great interest in the statistical community. In this article, we focus on knowledge transfer for unsupervised learning tasks in contrast to the supervised learning tasks in the literature. Given the transferable source populations, we propose a two-step transfer learning algorithm to extract useful information from multiple source principal component analysis (PCA) studies, thereby enhancing estimation accuracy for the target PCA task. In the first step, we integrate the shared subspace information across multiple studies by a proposed method named as Grassmannian barycenter, instead of directly performing PCA on the pooled dataset. The proposed Grassmannian barycenter method enjoys robustness and computational advantages in more general cases. Then the resulting estimator for the shared subspace from the first step is further utilized to estimate the target private subspace in the second step. Our theoretical analysis credits the gain of knowledge transfer between PCA studies to the enlarged eigenvalue gap, which is different from the existing supervised transfer learning tasks where sparsity plays the central role. In addition, we prove that the bilinear forms of the empirical spectral projectors have asymptotic normality under weaker eigenvalue gap conditions after knowledge transfer. When the set of informativesources is unknown, we endow our algorithm with the capability of useful dataset selection by solving a rectified optimization problem on the Grassmann manifold, which in turn leads to a computationally friendly rectified Grassmannian K-means procedure. In the end, extensive numerical simulation results and a real data case concerning activity recognition are reported to support our theoretical claims and to illustrate the empirical usefulness of the proposed transfer learning methods.

Best rank-one approximation is one of the most fundamental tasks in tensor computation. In order to fully exploit modern multi-core parallel computers, it is necessary to develop decoupling algorithms for computing the best rank-one approximation of higher-order tensors at large scales. In this paper, we first build a bridge between the rank-one approximation of tensors and the eigenvector-dependent nonlinear eigenvalue problem (NEPv), and then develop an efficient decoupling algorithm, namely the higher-order self-consistent field (HOSCF) algorithm, inspired by the famous self-consistent field (SCF) iteration frequently used in computational chemistry. The convergence theory of the HOSCF algorithm and an estimation of the convergence speed are further presented. In addition, we propose an improved HOSCF (iHOSCF) algorithm that incorporates the Rayleigh quotient iteration, which can significantly accelerate the convergence of HOSCF. Numerical experiments show that the proposed algorithms can efficiently converge to the best rank-one approximation of both synthetic and real-world tensors and can scale with high parallel scalability on a modern parallel computer.

Graphics processing units (GPUs) are continually evolving to cater to the computational demands of contemporary general-purpose workloads, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence (AI) utilizing deep learning techniques. A substantial body of studies have been dedicated to dissecting the microarchitectural metrics characterizing diverse GPU generations, which helps researchers understand the hardware details and leverage them to optimize the GPU programs. However, the latest Hopper GPUs present a set of novel attributes, including new tensor cores supporting FP8, DPX, and distributed shared memory. Their details still remain mysterious in terms of performance and operational characteristics. In this research, we propose an extensive benchmarking study focused on the Hopper GPU. The objective is to unveil its microarchitectural intricacies through an examination of the new instruction-set architecture (ISA) of Nvidia GPUs and the utilization of new CUDA APIs. Our approach involves two main aspects. Firstly, we conduct conventional latency and throughput comparison benchmarks across the three most recent GPU architectures, namely Hopper, Ada, and Ampere. Secondly, we delve into a comprehensive discussion and benchmarking of the latest Hopper features, encompassing the Hopper DPX dynamic programming (DP) instruction set, distributed shared memory, and the availability of FP8 tensor cores. The microbenchmarking results we present offer a deeper understanding of the novel GPU AI function units and programming features introduced by the Hopper architecture. This newfound understanding is expected to greatly facilitate software optimization and modeling efforts for GPU architectures. To the best of our knowledge, this study makes the first attempt to demystify the tensor core performance and programming instruction sets unique to Hopper GPUs.

Serving systems for Large Language Models (LLMs) are often optimized to improve quality of service (QoS) and throughput. However, due to the lack of open-sourced LLM serving workloads, these systems are frequently evaluated under unrealistic workload assumptions. Consequently, performance may degrade when these systems are deployed in real-world scenarios. This work presents BurstGPT, an LLM serving workload with 5.29 million traces from regional Azure OpenAI GPT services over 121 days. BurstGPT captures realistic LLM serving characteristics through detailed tracing of: (1) Concurrency of requests: It traces burstiness variations of requests in Azure OpenAI GPT services, revealing diversified concurrency patterns in different services and model types. (2) Response Lengths of requests: It traces the auto-regressive serving processes of GPT models, showing statistical relations between requests and their responses. (3) Failures of requests: It traces failures of conversation and API services, showing intensive resource needs and limited resource availability of such services in Azure. Details of the characteristics can serve multiple purposes in LLM serving optimizations, such as system evaluation and trace provisioning. In our demo evaluation with BurstGPT, we observe that frequent variations in BurstGPT reveal declines in efficiency, stability, or reliability in realistic LLM serving. We identify that the generalization of KV cache management and request scheduling optimization is not guaranteed for different workloads, especially when systems are poorly optimized for unrealistic workloads. The recognition of underwater audio plays a significant role in identifying a vessel while it is in motion. Underwater target recognition tasks have a wide range of applications in areas such as marine environmental protection, detection of ship radiated noise, underwater noise control, and coastal vessel dispatch. The traditional UATR task involves training a network to extract features from audio data and predict the vessel type. The current UATR dataset exhibits shortcomings in both duration and sample quantity. In this paper, we propose Oceanship, a large-scale and diverse underwater audio dataset. This dataset comprises 15 categories, spans a total duration of 121 hours, and includes comprehensive annotation information such as coordinates, velocity, vessel types, and timestamps. We compiled the dataset by crawling and organizing original communication data from the Ocean Communication Network (ONC) database between 2021 and 2022. While audio retrieval tasks are well-established in general audio classification, they have not been explored in the context of underwater audio recognition. Leveraging the Oceanship dataset, we introduce a baseline model named Oceannet for underwater audio retrieval. This model achieves a recall at 1 (R@1) accuracy of 67.11% and a recall at 5 (R@5) accuracy of 99.13% on the Deepship dataset., Comment: Accepted by ICIC 2024

The widespread use of deep learning technology across various industries has made deep neural network models highly valuable and, as a result, attractive targets for potential attackers. Model extraction attacks, particularly query-based model extraction attacks, allow attackers to replicate a substitute model with comparable functionality to the victim model and present a significant threat to the confidentiality and security of MLaaS platforms. While many studies have explored threats of model extraction attacks against classification models in recent years, object detection models, which are more frequently used in real-world scenarios, have received less attention. In this paper, we investigate the challenges and feasibility of query-based model extraction attacks against object detection models and propose an effective attack method called MEAOD. It selects samples from the attacker-possessed dataset to construct an efficient query dataset using active learning and enhances the categories with insufficient objects. We additionally improve the extraction effectiveness by updating the annotations of the query dataset. According to our gray-box and black-box scenarios experiments, we achieve an extraction performance of over 70% under the given condition of a 10k query budget.

Radio frequency (RF) signal mapping, which is the process of analyzing and predicting the RF signal strength and distribution across specific areas, is crucial for cellular network planning and deployment. Traditional approaches to RF signal mapping rely on statistical models constructed based on measurement data, which offer low complexity but often lack accuracy, or ray tracing tools, which provide enhanced precision for the target area but suffer from increased computational complexity. Recently, machine learning (ML) has emerged as a data-driven method for modeling RF signal propagation, which leverages models trained on synthetic datasets to perform RF signal mapping in "unseen" areas. In this paper, we present Geo2SigMap, an ML-based framework for efficient and high-fidelity RF signal mapping using geographic databases. First, we develop an automated framework that seamlessly integrates three open-source tools: OpenStreetMap (geographic databases), Blender (computer graphics), and Sionna (ray tracing), enabling the efficient generation of large-scale 3D building maps and ray tracing models. Second, we propose a cascaded U-Net model, which is pre-trained on synthetic datasets and employed to generate detailed RF signal maps, leveraging environmental information and sparse measurement data. Finally, we evaluate the performance of Geo2SigMap via a real-world measurement campaign, where three types of user equipment (UE) collect over 45,000 data points related to cellular information from six LTE cells operating in the citizens broadband radio service (CBRS) band. Our results show that Geo2SigMap achieves an average root-mean-square-error (RMSE) of 6.04 dB for predicting the reference signal received power (RSRP) at the UE, representing an average RMSE improvement of 3.59 dB compared to existing methods.

The conjectured duality between color and kinematics has significantly advanced our understanding of both gauge and gravitational theories. However, constructing numerators that manifest the color-kinematics (CK) duality, even for the two-loop four-gluon amplitude in pure Yang-Mills, has been challenging. In this paper, we revisit this amplitude and show that the difficulty of applying CK duality can be overcome by introducing a simple deformation. Our approach distinguishes itself from previous studies by maximizing the use of off-shell CK duality while maintaining a compact ansatz. In particular, the deformation we introduce satisfies a subset of off-shell dual Jacobi relations. The resulting numerators are presented in $d$-dimensionally Lorentz invariant local form and are applicable to all helicities of external gluons. The solution we provide can be directly employed to construct the corresponding gravitational amplitude through double copy. Large Language Models (LLMs) have seen great advance in both academia and industry, and their popularity results in numerous open-source frameworks and techniques in accelerating LLM pre-training, fine-tuning, and inference. Training and deploying LLMs are expensive as it requires considerable computing resources and memory, hence many efficient approaches have been developed for improving system pipelines as well as operators. However, the runtime performance can vary significantly across hardware and software stacks, which makes it difficult to choose the best configuration. In this work, we aim to benchmark the performance from both macro and micro perspectives. First, we benchmark the end-to-end performance of pre-training, fine-tuning, and serving LLMs in different sizes , i.e., 7, 13, and 70 billion parameters (7B, 13B, and 70B) on three 8-GPU platforms with and without individual optimization techniques, including ZeRO, quantization, recomputation, FlashAttention. Then, we dive deeper to provide a detailed runtime analysis of the sub-modules, including computing and communication operators in LLMs. For end users, our benchmark and findings help better understand different optimization techniques, training and inference frameworks, together with hardware platforms in choosing configurations for deploying LLMs. For researchers, our in-depth module-wise analyses discover potential opportunities for future work to further optimize the runtime performance of LLMs.

Nowdays, modern microscopic approaches for fission are generally based on the framework of nuclear density functional theory (DFT), which has enabled a self-consistent treatment of both static and dynamic aspects of fission. The key issue is a DFT solver with high precision and efficiency especially for the large elongated configurations. Purpose: To develope a DFT solver with high precision and efficiency based on the point coupling covariant density functional theory (CDFT), which has achieved great success in describing properties of nuclei for the whole nuclear chart. Method: We have extended the point-coupling CDFT to be based on the two-center harmonic oscillator (TCHO) basis, which matches well with the large elongated configurations during the fission process. Multi-dimensional constraint and time-dependent generator coordinate method (TDGCM) have been used to analyze the fission potential energy surface and fission dynamics, respectively. To simulate the splitting process of the nascent fragments beyond scission, we also introduce a density constraint into the new CDFT framework. Results: Illustrative calculations have been done for the PESs and induced fission dynamics of two typical examples: $^{226}$Th and $^{240}$Pu. A more reasonable PES is obtained in the new framework compared to that based on the once-center harmonic oscillator (OCHO) with the same basis space. An optimization of about $0.2\sim0.3$ MeV has been achieved for the outer fission barriers and large elongated configurations. The dynamical simulations based on TCHO basis presents a trend to improve the description for fission yields. Conclusions: The new developed CDFT solver optimizes the elongated configurations, improves the calculation efficiency, and provides a basis for large-scale multi-dimensional constraint calculations and dynamical simulations.

Topological insulators have been extended to higher-order versions that possess topological hinge or corner states in lower dimensions. However, their robustness against disorder is still unclear. Here, we theoretically investigate the phase transitions of three-dimensional (3D) chiral second-order topological insulator (SOTI) in the presence of disorders. Our results show that, by increasing disorder strength, the nonzero densities of states of side surface and bulk emerge at critical disorder strengths of $W_{S}$ and $W_{B}$, respectively. The spectral function indicates that the bulk gap is only closed at one of the $R_{4z}\mathcal{T}$-invariant points, i.e., $\Gamma_{3}$. The closing of side surface gap or bulk gap is ascribed to the significant decrease of the elastic mean free time of quasi-particles. Because of the localization of side surface states, we find that the 3D chiral SOTI is robust at an averaged quantized conductance of $2e^{2}/h$ with disorder strength up to $W_{B}$. When the disorder strength is beyond $W_{B}$, the 3D chiral SOTI is then successively driven into two phases, i.e., diffusive metallic phase and Anderson insulating phase. Furthermore, an averaged conductance plateau of $e^{2}/h$ emerges in the diffusive metallic phase.

Van Hove singularity (VHS) has been considered as a driving source for unconventional superconductivity. A VHS in two-dimensional (2D) materials consists of a saddle point connecting electron-like and hole-like bands. In a rare case, when a VHS appears at Fermi level, both electron-like and hole-like conduction can coexist, giving rise to an enhanced density of states as well as an attractive component of Coulomb interaction for unconventional electronic pairing. However, this van Hove scenario is often destroyed by an incorrect chemical potential or competing instabilities. Here, by using angle-resolved photoemission measurements, we report the observation of a VHS perfectly aligned with the Fermi level in a kagome superconductor CsV$_{3-x}$Ta$_x$Sb$_5$ (x~0.4), in which a record-high superconducting transition temperature is achieved among all the current variants of AV$_3$Sb$_5$ (A=Cs, Rb, K) at ambient pressure. Doping dependent measurements reveal the important role of van Hove scenario in boosting superconductivity, and spectroscopic-imaging scanning tunneling microscopy measurements indicate a distinct superconducting state in this system., Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures

Transfer learning algorithms have been developed in various applicational contexts while only a few of them offer statistical guarantees in high-dimensions. Among these work, the differences between the target and sources, a.k.a. the contrasts, are typically modeled as, or at least close to, vectors with certain low-dimensional structure (e.g., sparsity), resulting in a separate debiasing step after a preceding pooling estimation procedure. Under such intuitive yet powerful framework, additional homogeneity conditions on Hessian matrices of the population loss functions are often imposed to preserve the delicate low-dimensional structure of the contrasts during pooling, which is either unrealistic in practice or easily destroyed by basic data transformation such as standardization. In this article, under the general M-estimators framework with decomposable regularizers, we highlight the role of fine-tuning underneath the conspicuous gain of the debiasing step in transfer learning. Namely, we find it is possible to enhance estimation accuracy by fine-tuning a primal estimator sufficiently close to the true target one. Our theory suggests slightly enlarging the pooling regularization strength when either the contrast's low-dimensional structure or the homogeneity of Hessian matrices is violated. Traditional linear regression and generalized low-rank trace regression in high-dimensions are discussed as two specific examples under our framework. When the informative source datasets are unknown, a novel truncated-penalized algorithm is proposed to directly output the primal estimator by simultaneously selecting the useful sources and its oracle property is proved. Extensive numerical experiments are conducted to validate the theoretical assertions. A case study on the air quality regulation in China by transfer learning is also provided for illustration.

Interfacial interactions are crucial in a variety of fields and can greatly affect the electric, magnetic, and chemical properties of materials. Among them, interface orbital hybridization plays a fundamental role in the properties of surface electrons such as dispersion, interaction, and ground states. Conventional measurements of electronic states at interfaces such as scanning tunneling microscopes are all based on electric interactions which, however, suffer from strong perturbation on these electrons. Here we unveil a new experimental detection of interface electrons based on the weak magnetic interactions between them and the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond. With negligible perturbation on the interface electrons, their physical properties can be revealed by the NV spin coherence time. In our system, the interface interaction leads to significant decreases in both the density and coherence time of the electron spins at the diamond-graphene interface. Furthermore, together with electron spin resonance spectra and first-principle calculations, we can retrieve the effect of interface electron orbital hybridization. Our study opens a new pathway toward the microscopic probing of interfacial electronic states with weak magnetic interactions and provides a new avenue for future research on material interfaces.

DeePMD-kit is a powerful open-source software package that facilitates molecular dynamics simulations using machine learning potentials (MLP) known as Deep Potential (DP) models. This package, which was released in 2017, has been widely used in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, and material science for studying atomistic systems. The current version of DeePMD-kit offers numerous advanced features such as DeepPot-SE, attention-based and hybrid descriptors, the ability to fit tensile properties, type embedding, model deviation, Deep Potential - Range Correction (DPRc), Deep Potential Long Range (DPLR), GPU support for customized operators, model compression, non-von Neumann molecular dynamics (NVNMD), and improved usability, including documentation, compiled binary packages, graphical user interfaces (GUI), and application programming interfaces (API). This article presents an overview of the current major version of the DeePMD-kit package, highlighting its features and technical details. A huge number of multi-participant dialogues happen online every day, which leads to difficulty in understanding the nature of dialogue dynamics for both humans and machines. Dialogue disentanglement aims at separating an entangled dialogue into detached sessions, thus increasing the readability of long disordered dialogue. Previous studies mainly focus on message-pair classification and clustering in two-step methods, which cannot guarantee the whole clustering performance in a dialogue. To address this challenge, we propose a simple yet effective model named CluCDD, which aggregates utterances by contrastive learning. More specifically, our model pulls utterances in the same session together and pushes away utterances in different ones. Then a clustering method is adopted to generate predicted clustering labels. Comprehensive experiments conducted on the Movie Dialogue dataset and IRC dataset demonstrate that our model achieves a new state-of-the-art result., Comment: 5 pages

Electronic nematicity has been commonly observed in juxtaposition with unconventional superconductivity. Understanding the nature of the nematic state, as well as its consequence on the electronic band structure and superconductivity, has become a pivotal focus in condensed matter physics. Here we use spectroscopic imaging-scanning tunneling microscopy to visualize how the interacting quasiparticles organize themselves in the nematic state of kagome superconductor CsV$_{3-x}$Ti$_x$Sb$_5$, in which twofold symmetric (C$_2$) quasiparticle scattering interference of the vanadium kagome bands emerges below the bulk nematic transition temperature (T$_{nem}$). Surprisingly, we find that the coupling to collective modes, i.e., the phonon, dramatically alters the electrons self-energy and renormalizes the Fermi velocity of the in-plane vanadium d$_{xy/x^2-y^2}$ bands only along the C$_2$ direction, making the low-energy dispersion and electron dynamics highly nonequivalent along the three lattice directions. The anti-correlation between T$_{nem}$ and the superconducting transition temperature upon Ti substitution further suggests a possible competition between superconductivity and electron nematicity in this series, with a principal superconducting gap opening on the same V bands once the nematic state is totally suppressed. The organizing principle of these quasiparticles provides essential information for understanding the interplay between charge density wave and superconductivity in these kagome superconductors, and also reveals a previously unexplored form that expands the landscape for modelling electronic nematicity in systems where electron correlations and lattice degree of freedom act in concert., Comment: 31 pages, 4 figures plus 10 extended data figures. Mining the distribution of features and sorting items by combined attributes are two common tasks in exploring and understanding multi-attribute (or multivariate) data. Up to now, few have pointed out the possibility of merging these two tasks into a united exploration context and the potential benefits of doing so. In this paper, we present SemanticAxis, a technique that achieves this goal by enabling analysts to build a semantic vector in two-dimensional space interactively. Essentially, the semantic vector is a linear combination of the original attributes. It can be used to represent and explain abstract concepts implied in local (outliers, clusters) or global (general pattern) features of reduced space, as well as serving as a ranking metric for its defined concepts. In order to validate the significance of combining the above two tasks in multi-attribute data analysis, we design and implement a visual analysis system, in which several interactive components cooperate with SemanticAxis seamlessly and expand its capacity to handle complex scenarios. We prove the effectiveness of our system and the SemanticAxis technique via two practical cases.

The overdraw problem of scatterplots seriously interferes with the visual tasks. Existing methods, such as data sampling, node dispersion, subspace mapping, and visual abstraction, cannot guarantee the correspondence and consistency between the data points that reflect the intrinsic original data distribution and the corresponding visual units that reveal the presented data distribution, thus failing to obtain an overlap-free scatterplot with unbiased and lossless data distribution. A dual space coupling model is proposed in this paper to represent the complex bilateral relationship between data space and visual space theoretically and analytically. Under the guidance of the model, an overlap-free scatterplot method is developed through integration of the following: a geometry-based data transformation algorithm, namely DistributionTranscriptor; an efficient spatial mutual exclusion guided view transformation algorithm, namely PolarPacking; an overlap-free oriented visual encoding configuration model and a radius adjustment tool, namely $f_{r_{draw}}$. Our method can ensure complete and accurate information transfer between the two spaces, maintaining consistency between the newly created scatterplot and the original data distribution on global and local features. Quantitative evaluation proves our remarkable progress on computational efficiency compared with the state-of-the-art methods. Three applications involving pattern enhancement, interaction improvement, and overdraw mitigation of trajectory visualization demonstrate the broad prospects of our method.

We study the duality between color and kinematics for the Sudakov form factors of ${\rm tr}(F^2)$ in non-supersymmetric pure Yang-Mills theory. We construct the integrands that manifest the color-kinematics duality up to two loops. The resulting numerators are given in terms of Lorentz products of momenta and polarization vectors, which have the same powers of loop momenta as that from the Feynman rules. The integrands are checked by $d$-dimensional unitarity cuts and are valid in any dimension. We find that massless-bubble and tadpole topologies are needed at two loops to realize the color-kinematics duality.
