The virulence factors, drug resistance and sequence types of KPN in different samples were identified by a wire-drawing test, polymerase chain reaction, a drug susceptibility test and multi-site sequence typing.Results: There were more male than female KPN-PLA patients (P< 0.05). The mortality rate was 2.5%, and KPN-PLA was significantly associated with diabetes mellitus (P< 0.05). Most of the KPN isolates in the puncture fluid of patients with KPN-PLA were hypervirulent KPN (HvKP). The positive rate of the KPN-PLA specimens was higher than that of the blood and urine specimens. The KPN isolates of the urine specimens had higher drug resistance than the other two (P< 0.05). The hypermucoviscous KPN, aerobic actin (aero) (+), K1 and K2 serotypes accounted for 80.8%, 89.7%, 56.4% and 26.9%, respectively. In addition to ironB (3.8%), the detection rates of virulence factors rmpA, irp2, entB, iucD, aero, wcaG, iutA, kfu, ybtA, iron, fimH and mrkD were higher (69.2%– 100.0%). The positive rate of KPN isolates of the KPN-PLA puncture fluid was higher than that of the blood and urine samples (P< 0.05). In addition, ST23 was found to be the dominant ST (32.1%) of KPN-PLA in the Baotou region.Conclusion: In the KPN-PLA specimens, the KPN isolates were more virulent than those in the blood and urine specimens, and a carbapenem-resistant HvKP strain emerged. This research will help improve the understanding of HvKP and provide useful suggestions for KPN-PLA treatments.Keywords: Klebsiella pneumoniae, virulence factor, capsular serotype, bacterial drug resistance, multilocus sequence typing

Motivated by the large rates of decays observed by the and Belle collaborations, we investigate the nonfactorizable contributions to these factorization-forbidden decays, which can occur through a gluon exchange between the system and the spectator quark. Our numerical results demonstrate that the spectator contributions are capable of producing a large branching ratio consistent with the experiments. As a by-product, we also study the Cabibbo-suppressed decays, such as and the U-spin-related decay, which have so far received less theoretical and experimental attention. The calculated branching ratios reach the order of , which is within the scope of the Belle-II and LHCb experiments. Further, the -asymmetry parameters are also calculated for these decays. The obtained results are compared with the available experimental data and numbers from other predictions. We also investigate the sources of theoretical uncertainties in our calculation.

We present an analysis of two isovector scalar resonant contributions to the B decays into charmonia plus KK¯ or πη pair in the perturbative QCD approach. The Flatté model for the a0(980) resonance and the Breit Wigner formula for the a0(1450) resonance are adopted to parametrize the timelike form factors in the dimeson distribution amplitudes, which capture the important final state interactions in these processes. The predicted distribution in the K+K− invariant mass as well as its integrated branching ratio for the a0(980) resonance in the B0→J/ψK+K− mode agree well with the current available experimental data. The obtained branching ratio of the quasi-two-body decay B0→J/ψa0(980)(→π0η) can reach the order of 10−6, letting the corresponding measurement appear feasible. For the a0(1450) component, our results could be tested by further experiments in the LHCb and Belle II. We also discuss some theoretical uncertainties in detail in our calculation.

Prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor in urological system. It is also the second leading cause of high morbidity and mortality among men in Western countries. The occurrence and development of prostate cancer is a multi-factor and multi-step process involving changes of numerous genes from the aspect of molecular genetics. In the last decades, translational medicine has discovered that numerous basic research specific to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer has broaden the application prospect, especially endocrinotherapy, which is of great importance in the treatment of prostate cancer. This study mainly reviewed the mechanism, indications and therapeutic protocols of endocrinotherapy, including castration treatment, anti-androgen treatment, maximal androgen blockade (MAB), intermittent hormonal therapy (IHT), neoadjuvant hormonal therapy (NHT) and adjuvant hormonal therapy (AHT), aiming to provide references for the clinical treatment of prostate cancer.
