Abstract

Nickel-catalyzed reduction of (het)arenecarboxylic acids with hydrosilanes in the presence of dimethyl dicarbonate as the activator affords the corresponding aldehydes. The role of the activator is the conversion of the acids into their anhydrides undergoing C–O cleavage. The good yields were achieved in case of substrates bearing electron-donating and electron-neutral groups.

Abstract

A convenient synthesis of 3-aroylisoxazoles from methyl ketones and (vinylsulfonyl)benzene in 2%TPGS-750-M/H2O has been developed. This reaction proceeds via tandem tert-butyl nitrite-promoted Csp3-H functionalization of methyl ketones, 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and base-catalyzed aromatization, providing the corresponding products in moderate to good yields.

Abstract

The synthesis of unsymmetrical ureas via the photocatalyzed oxidative decarboxylation of oxamic acids has been developed. The carbamoyl radicals were generated from oxamic acids in the presence of a hypervalent iodine reagent and the PANI(Polyaniline)-g-C3N4-TiO2 composite under visible light irradiation. The radicals were converted in situ into the corresponding isocyanates, which were then trapped by amines to afford the corresponding products in moderate to good yields. This protocol avoided the direct use of environmentally unfriendly isocyanates and a series of substrates were tolerated. Moreover, the photocatalyst could be readily recovered by simple filtration and be reused for several runs with only a slight decrease in the catalytic activity.

Abstract

This paper presents a novel planar single-mobility deployable mechanism using V-fold bars and scissor-shape mechanisms. The basic deployable units of the proposed mechanism is first described, then the kinematic model of the mechanism is set up, based on which we can analysis the kinematic performance of the mechanism. After that, the singularity configuration of the basic deployable unit is analyzed and mobile assembly of the proposed deployable units into large deployable mechanism is also studied. This work provides technical basis for future deployable satellite antenna applications.

Purpose This paper aims to study the anodization of aluminum in a mixture solution of 1,3-propanediol solutions and 0.4 mol l−1 H3PO4 at a low temperature.Design/methodology/approach The morphology and composition of the resulting anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template was characterized by means of a scanning electron microscope in combination with an energy dispersive spectrometer.Findings Pore density and pore diameter both were found to be dependent on the temperature of anodization.Originality/value The resulting AAO templates exhibited uniform and regular pores with diameters that were significantly smaller than those found in AAO templates anodized at room temperature.
