A serial of red-emitting MgMoO
4 : Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized via a high-temperature solid-phase approach. The effect of partially combined substitution of Mg2+ -Mo6+ -O2− with Ca2+ -W6+ -F− on the structure and luminescent properties of the MgMoO4 : Eu3+ phosphor was thoroughly investigated. The crystal structure of the as-prepared MgMoO4 : Eu3+ phosphor was not influenced by the partially combined Ca2+ -W6+ -F− substitution. Under the excitation of 394 nm, The MgMoO4 : Eu3+ phosphor could emit bright red light centered approximately at 612 nm, corresponding to the5 D0 →7 F2 transition of Eu3+ and the optimal concentration of Eu3+ was about x = 0.10. After the partially combined Ca2+ -W6+ -F− substitution, the luminescence intensity of Eu3+ ions was approximately 1.94 times of the initial values owing to the alteration of the crystal field and charge compensation. The thermal stability of the partially substituted phosphor was significantly enhanced and the emission intensity at 423 K was approximately 82.3% of the initial value at room temperature. The internal quantum efficiency of the partially substituted sample is about 49.5%. A white light-emitting diode (LED) manufactured by the partially substituted red Mg0.7 Ca0.2 Mo0.8 W0.2 O3.8 F0.2 : 0.10Eu3+ , combined with commercial blue-green phosphors and 395 nm chips exhibits high performance featuring CCT = 5441 K and Ra = 88.7. These results mean that the partially combined Ca2+ -W6+ -F− substitution in MgMoO4 : Eu3+ can be used to optimize luminescent properties of phosphors applied in white LEDs. Objective: Breast cancer is a prevalent and heterogeneous disease, with human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) overexpression occurring in over 20% of cases. Poncirin, a biologically active flavonone derived from the immature dried fruits of Poncirus trifoliata, is a 7-O-neohesperidoside of isosakuranetin with a well-documented history in traditional Chinese medicine for its health-promoting properties. While the previous research hinted at its potential as an anticancer agent, its specific effects on HER2 overexpressing breast cancer cells remain largely unexplored. The aim of this study is to investigate the specific effects of Poncirin, on HER2 overexpressing breast cancer cells. Materials and Methods: In experimental study, we assessed cell proliferation using the CCK-8 assay and explored cell migration and invasion with transwell assays. Additionally, we evaluated colony formation ability and examined apoptosis through the acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EB) and Annexin V–fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)/ propidium iodide (PI) staining methods. The study also delved into the molecular mechanisms involved by scrutinizing the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/serine-threonine protein kinase (PI3K/AKT) signaling pathway via Western blotting. Furthermore, the researchers conducted in vivo experiments using mouse models to corroborate the findings in a living organism. Results: Poncirin demonstrated a remarkable ability to selectively inhibit proliferation and metastasis of HER2 overexpressing breast cancer cells. Mechanistically, the compound seemed to exert its effects by modulating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, implying its central role in the observed anticancer effects. These findings were further substantiated by in vivo experiments, which consistently showed a reduction in tumor growth when poncirin was administered. Conclusion: This study underscores potential of poncirin as a potent agent for restraining the growth and metastasis of HER2 overexpressing breast cancer cells. The evidence suggests that poncirin efficacy may be attributed to its modulation possibly through PI3K/AKT pathway. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
We present the precision measurements of 11 years of daily cosmic electron fluxes in the rigidity interval from 1.00 to 41.9 GV based on 2.0 x 10⁸ electrons collected with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) aboard the International Space Station. The electron fluxes exhibit variations on multiple timescales. Recurrent electron flux variations with periods of 27 days, 13.5 days, and 9 days are observed. We find that the electron fluxes show distinctly different time variations from the proton fluxes. Remarkably, a hysteresis between the electron flux and the proton flux is observed with a significance of greater than 6 sigma at rigidities below 8.5 GV. Furthermore, significant structures in the electron-proton hysteresis are observed corresponding to sharp structures in both fluxes. This continuous daily electron data provide unique input to the understanding of the charge sign dependence of cosmic rays over an 11-year solar cycle.

- Abstract
We report the properties of primary cosmic-ray sulfur (S) in the rigidity range 2.15 GV to 3.0 TV based on 0.38 x 10⁶ sulfur nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment (AMS). We observed that above 90 GV the rigidity dependence of the S flux is identical to the rigidity dependence of Ne-Mg-Si fluxes, which is different from the rigidity dependence of the He-C-O-Fe fluxes. We found that, similar to N, Na, and Al cosmic rays, over the entire rigidity range, the traditional primary cosmic rays S, Ne, Mg, and C all have sizeable secondary components, and the S, Ne, and Mg fluxes are well described by the weighted sum of the primary silicon flux and the secondary fluorine flux, and the C flux is well described by the weighted sum of the primary oxygen flux and the secondary boron flux. The primary and secondary contributions of the traditional primary cosmic-ray fluxes of C, Ne, Mg, and S (even Z elements) are distinctly different from the primary and secondary contributions of the N, Na, and Al (odd Z elements) fluxes. The abundance ratio at the source for S/Si is 0.167 ± 0.006, for Ne/Si is 0.833 ± 0.025, for Mg/Si is 0.994 ± 0.029, and for C/O is 0.836 ± 0.025. These values are determined independent of cosmic-ray propagation.

- Abstract
In order to improve the quality of welded joints and increase the service life of pipelines, ABAQUS finite element software was used to simulate the temperature field of 18,4 mm thick X80 pipeline steel in multi-layer and multi pass welding. The peak temperature of different passes was compared, and the change trend of temperature field in the welding process was obtained,. The results show that the peak temperature of the weld and its adjacent areas is higher, and the peak temperature of the weld center is the highest. Due to the fast welding speed, the heat cannot be transferred to other areas in time, resulting in uneven heating of the entire test panel.

18. Efficacies of different ovarian hyperstimulation protocols in elderly patients with poor ovarian response.

- Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study was to explore which controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) protocol is most suitable for elderly patients with poor ovarian response (POR) undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART). PATIENTS AND METHODS: This retrospective cohort study evaluated clinical data from 2,660 patients from January 2017 and October 2020. The patients were divided into three groups: modified Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist protocol (1,225 patients), GnRH antagonist protocol (1,038 patients), and Mild stimulation protocol (397 patients). Clinical variables and pregnancy outcomes were compared among the three groups. RESULTS: The GnRH agonist protocol was associated with a higher number of oocyte number (3.99±2.82 vs. 3.02±1.34 vs. 2.51±1.14, p<0.001), a higher number of transferable embryos (1.39±1.32 vs. 1.24±1.24 vs. 1.18±1.11, p = 0.035), higher cumulative live birth rate [26.53% (323/1,225) vs. 22.44% (233/1,038) vs. 21.66% (86/397), p = 0.043], lower OHSS rate [5.14% (63/1,225) vs. 3.08% (32/1,038) vs. 2.02% (8/397), p = 0.005] than GnRH antagonist protocol and Mild stimulation protocol, the Mild stimulation protocol was associated with higher miscarriage rates [30.4% (24/71) vs. 25.0% (33/192) vs. 29.6% (35/168), p = 0.014] than the other two groups. CONCLUSIONS: The three protocols can be used in elderly patients with POR; however, if patients require more frozen-thawed embryo transfers to achieve better cumulative live birth rates, the modified GnRH agonist protocol may be the better choice. It should be emphasized that the mild stimulation had a slightly higher miscarriage rate than the other two groups. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

There are many uncertain factors in the test process of electroplating zinc. The establishment of control standards in the research process can reduce the workload and shorten the test cycle. Based on the electrochemical module developed by COMSOL multi-physics software, this study uses the computer's powerful computing power and the existing perfect theoretical system to simulate the experiment. The results show that the potential at the anode plate is higher, the potential at the cathode plate is lower, and the potential distribution in the middle area of the two plates is relatively uniform. When the plating time is 10 min, the outer surface of the galvanized part is basically coated with a relatively uniform zinc coating, which is about 2μm. Due to the large local current density in each edge area of the sample, the plating layer is relatively thick, but the difference is not large. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Understanding patterns and drivers of leaf (C, N, P) nutrient resorption, its stoichiometry and efficiency in the early vegetation primary succession in the Hailuogou Glacier Forehead of China is important to understand plant adaptation and competition strategy of vegetation succession in highaltitude and nutrient-poor environment. The results showed that the trends of total nitrogen concentration of green and senescent leaves were: 4 years < 8 years < 16 years. The correlation between C:N ratio and N:P ratio did not reach significance level (p > 0.05), but positive significance was showed between C:P ratio and C:N ratio (p < 0.05). The ranks of the NuRE values showed: the four-year > the eight-year > the sixteen-year. And the value of nutrient resorption efficiency decreased in the following order: PRE > NRE > CRE. 4 years of vegetation succession showed growth competition strategy with low value of N:P ratio and high value of C:N ratio. Consequently, as the vegetation primary succession compelled, the eight-year and the sixteen-year vegetation succession, with high value of N:P ratio and low value of C:N ratio which had competitive advantages, replaced the species of the four-year vegetation succession in this glacier forehead alpine region with high altitude and poor nutrients. We report the properties of sodium (Na) and aluminum (Al) cosmic rays in the rigidity range 2.15 GV to 3.0 TV based on 0.46 million sodium and 0.51 million aluminum nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. We found that Na and Al, together with nitrogen (N), belong to a distinct cosmic ray group. In this group, we observe that, similar to the N flux, both the Na flux and Al flux are well described by the sums of a primary cosmic ray component (proportional to the silicon flux) and a secondary cosmic ray component (proportional to the fluorine flux). The fraction of the primary component increases with rigidity for the N, Na, and Al fluxes and becomes dominant at the highest rigidities. The Na/Si and Al/Si abundance ratios at the source, 0.036 +/- 0.003 for Na/Si and 0.103 +/- 0.004 for Al/Si, are determined independent of cosmic ray propagation. We report the observation of new properties of primary iron (Fe) cosmic rays in the rigidity range 2.65 GV to 3.0 TV with 0.62×10⁶ iron nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. Above 80.5 GV the rigidity dependence of the cosmic ray Fe flux is identical to the rigidity dependence of the primary cosmic ray He, C, and O fluxes, with the Fe/O flux ratio being constant at 0.155±0.006. This shows that unexpectedly Fe and He, C, and O belong to the same class of primary cosmic rays which is different from the primary cosmic rays Ne, Mg, and Si class.

Precise knowledge of the charge and rigidity dependence of the secondary cosmic ray fluxes and the secondary-to-primary flux ratios is essential in the understanding of cosmic ray propagation. We report the properties of heavy secondary cosmic ray fluorine F in the rigidity \(R\) range 2.15 GV to 2.9 TV based on 0.29 million events collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. The fluorine spectrum deviates from a single power law above 200 GV. The heavier secondary-to-primary F/Si flux ratio rigidity dependence is distinctly different from the lighter B/O (or B/C) rigidity dependence. In particular, above 10 GV, the \(\frac{F/Si}{B/O}\) ratio can be described by a power law \(R^{δ}\) with \(δ\)=0.052±0.007. This shows that the propagation properties of heavy cosmic rays, from F to Si, are different from those of light cosmic rays, from He to O, and that the secondary cosmic rays have two classes.

- Abstract
We present the precision measurement of the daily proton fluxes in cosmic rays from May 20, 2011 to October 29, 2019 (a total of 2824 days or 114 Bartels rotations) in the rigidity interval from 1 to 100 GV based on 5.5 x 10⁹ protons collected with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer aboard the International Space Station. The proton fluxes exhibit variations on multiple timescales. From 2014 to 2018, we observed recurrent flux variations with a period of 27 days. Shorter periods of 9 days and 13.5 days are observed in 2016. The strength of all three periodicities changes with time and rigidity. The rigidity dependence of the 27-day periodicity is different from the rigidity dependences of 9-day and 13.5-day periods. Unexpectedly, the strength of 9-day and 13.5-day periodicities increases with increasing rigidities up to similar to 10 GV and similar to 20 GV, respectively. Then the strength of the periodicities decreases with increasing rigidity up to 100 GV.

The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) is a precision particle physics detector on the International Space Station (ISS) conducting a unique, long-duration mission of fundamental physics research in space. The physics objectives include the precise studies of the origin of dark matter, antimatter, and cosmic rays as well as the exploration of new phenomena. Following a 16-year period of construction and testing, and a precursor flight on the Space Shuttle, AMS was installed on the ISS on May 19, 2011. In this report we present results based on 120 billion charged cosmic ray events up to multi-TeV energies. This includes the fluxes of positrons, electrons, antiprotons, protons, and nuclei. These results provide unexpected information, which cannot be explained by the current theoretical models. The accuracy and characteristics of the data, simultaneously from many different types of cosmic rays, provide unique input to the understanding of origins, acceleration, and propagation of cosmic rays.

- Abstract
We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays, neon (Ne), magnesium (Mg), and silicon (Si), measured in the rigidity range 2.15 GV to 3.0 TV with 1.8×106 Ne, 2.2×106 Mg, and 1.6×106 Si nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. The Ne and Mg spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 3.65 GV. The three spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 86.5 GV, deviate from a single power law above 200 GV, and harden in an identical way. Unexpectedly, above 86.5 GV the rigidity dependence of primary cosmic rays Ne, Mg, and Si spectra is different from the rigidity dependence of primary cosmic rays He, C, and O. This shows that the Ne, Mg, and Si and He, C, and O are two different classes of primary cosmic rays.

- Abstract
The use of photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanning for building information modelling (BIM) in the documentation and conservation of Cultural Heritage (CH) is now well established. By combining BIM with the latest visualization technologies, powerful, semi-immersive experiences can be developed to enhance the dissemination of CH. In semi-immersive experiences such as Augmented Reality (AR), digital content can be overlapped on to physical spaces, providing a new way to interact with both the physical space and the digital content. This paper discusses the translation of a digital object created using BIM, into a physical object and the utilisation of this physical object as a trigger for an AR experience. The case study looks at one of the neo- Gothic window frames from the House of Commons in the Centre Block of the Parliament Hill National Historic Site, in Ottawa, Canada. The window frame is one in a series that represents a Canadian province or territory with a stained glass feature that includes floral emblems and heraldic symbols from the respective provincial or territorial shield. The frame in this case study corresponds to the stained glass window of five provinces. Using the replica frame as a target, the user can select which stained glass windows they would like to view in the AR application. Through these combined technologies, we argue that CH can be revealed in a more interactive way and therefore more engaging manner - making even inaccessible architectural details readily available to the public.

44. Linc00601 upregulation promotes hepatocellular carcinoma development by activating MAPK signaling pathway.

- Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study the expression of linc00601 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and cells, and to study the biological function and downstream mechanism of linc00601 in HCC using in vitro experiments. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The expression of linc00601 in HCC was predicted via bioinformatics, and the expression of linc00601 in HCC tissues and cells was detected via quantitative Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). After interference with the expression of linc00601, the interference efficiency was determined using qRT-PCR, and the changes in HCC cell proliferation, cycle distribution, and apoptosis were determined through Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Finally, the expressions of molecular markers in downstream signaling pathway were determined through Western blotting. RESULTS: It was found via bioinformatics that the expression of linc00601 was upregulated in HCC. The results of qRT-PCR revealed that the expression of linc00601 was upregulated in 36 cases of HCC tissues compared with that in para-carcinoma tissues, and it was also upregulated in HCC cells. According to the results of CCK-8 assay, HCC cell proliferation was inhibited after interference with the expression of linc00601. In the si-linc00601 group, the apoptosis rate rose, and the cell cycle was arrested at the G1/G0 phase compared with those in the si-NC group. The results of Western blotting revealed that after the knockdown of linc00601 in HCC cells, the expressions of molecular markers (p-P38, p-ERK) in the downstream mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway were downregulated. CONCLUSIONS: Linc00601 is upregulated in HCC, which promotes the development of HCC via activating the MAPK signaling pathway. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
X-inactivation is a well-established dosage compensation mechanism ensuring that X-chromosomal genes are expressed at comparable levels in males and females. Skewed X-inactivation is often explained by negative selection of one of the alleles. We demonstrate that imbalanced expression of the paternal and maternal X-chromosomes is common in the general population and that the random nature of the X-inactivation mechanism can be sufficient to explain the imbalance. To this end, we analyzed blood-derived RNA and whole-genome sequencing data from 79 female children and their parents from the Genome of the Netherlands project. We calculated the median ratio of the paternal over total counts at all X-chromosomal heterozygous single-nucleotide variants with coverage ≥10. We identified two individuals where the same X-chromosome was inactivated in all cells. Imbalanced expression of the two X-chromosomes (ratios ≤0.35 or ≥0.65) was observed in nearly 50% of the population. The empirically observed skewing is explained by a theoretical model where X-inactivation takes place in an embryonic stage in which eight cells give rise to the hematopoietic compartment. Genes escaping X-inactivation are expressed from both alleles and therefore demonstrate less skewing than inactivated genes. Using this characteristic, we identified three novel escapee genes (SSR4, REPS2, and SEPT6), but did not find support for many previously reported escapee genes in blood. Our collective data suggest that skewed X-inactivation is common in the general population. This may contribute to manifestation of symptoms in carriers of recessive X-linked disorders. We recommend that X-inactivation results should not be used lightly in the interpretation of X-linked variants.

- Abstract
Major mood disorders, which primarily include bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder, are the leading cause of disability worldwide and pose a major challenge in identifying robust risk genes. Here, we present data from independent large-scale clinical data sets (including 29 557 cases and 32 056 controls) revealing brain expressed protocadherin 17 (PCDH17) as a susceptibility gene for major mood disorders. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) spanning the PCDH17 region are significantly associated with major mood disorders; subjects carrying the risk allele showed impaired cognitive abilities, increased vulnerable personality features, decreased amygdala volume and altered amygdala function as compared with non-carriers. The risk allele predicted higher transcriptional levels of PCDH17 mRNA in postmortem brain samples, which is consistent with increased gene expression in patients with bipolar disorder compared with healthy subjects. Further, overexpression of PCDH17 in primary cortical neurons revealed significantly decreased spine density and abnormal dendritic morphology compared with control groups, which again is consistent with the clinical observations of reduced numbers of dendritic spines in the brains of patients with major mood disorders. Given that synaptic spines are dynamic structures which regulate neuronal plasticity and have crucial roles in myriad brain functions, this study reveals a potential underlying biological mechanism of a novel risk gene for major mood disorders involved in synaptic function and related intermediate phenotypes.

- Abstract
Aim Previous studies reported conflicting evidence on the effects of obesity on outcomes after gastrointestinal surgery. The aims of this study were to explore the relationship of obesity with major postoperative complications in an international cohort and to present a metaanalysis of all available prospective data. Methods This prospective, multicentre study included adults undergoing both elective and emergency gastrointestinal resection, reversal of stoma or formation of stoma. The primary end-point was 30-day major complications (Clavien–Dindo Grades III–V). A systematic search was undertaken for studies assessing the relationship between obesity and major complications after gastrointestinal surgery. Individual patient meta-analysis was used to analyse pooled results. Results This study included 2519 patients across 127 centres, of whom 560 (22.2%) were obese. Unadjusted major complication rates were lower in obese vs normal weight patients (13.0% vs 16.2%, respectively), but this did not reach statistical significance (P = 0.863) on multivariate analysis for patients having surgery for either malignant or benign conditions. Individual patient meta-analysis demonstrated that obese patients undergoing surgery formalignancy were at increased risk of major complications (OR 2.10, 95% CI 1.49–2.96, P < 0.001), whereas obese patients undergoing surgery for benign indications were at decreased risk (OR 0.59, 95% CI 0.46–0.75, P < 0.001) compared to normal weight patients. Conclusions In our international data, obesity was not found to be associated with major complications following gastrointestinal surgery. Meta-analysis of available prospective data made a novel finding of obesity being associated with different outcomes depending on whether patients were undergoing surgery for benign or malignant disease.
