9. Research Status and Development Trends of Inorganic Salt Lake Resource Extraction Based on Bibliometric Analysis.

Abstract

Salt lake resources are unique and valuable minerals on Earth associated with specific elements. The advancement of technology and the rise of new industries are progressively showcasing their strategic significance for economic development. This study used bibliometrics and visualization techniques to analyze the current state and developmental trends of research on salt lake resource exploitation, both domestically and globally. A total of 760 articles from Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) were analyzed. The research findings reveal that the processes of salt lake separation and extraction have progressed through three distinct stages: the germination stage, the stable development stage, and the rapid development stage. China has offered robust policy support for research in this domain at the national level. China possesses a centrality score of 1.08 in the separation and extraction of salt lakes, with 50% of the 10 most active nations in this domain situated in Asia and South America. The prominent institutions comprise the Chinese Academy of Sciences (centrality score of 0.32), the Qinghai Salt Lake Study Institute (centrality score of 0.22), and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (centrality score of 0.14), encompassing a diverse array of study subjects. Keywords from 2003 signify the initial advancement of lithium extraction from saline lakes, whereas those from 2011 underscore the heightened focus on integrated resource utilization and multidisciplinary study. Keywords from 2015 indicate an intensified emphasis on the extraction of lithium and other elements. The terms "tributyl phosphate" (citation strength of 6.05) and "nanofiltration" (citation strength of 4.29) exhibit significant interest in magnesium–lithium separation research and water treatment technologies employed in salt lake separation and extraction, receiving the highest number of citations. The persistent emphasis on "lithium ions" signifies the increasing demand for raw materials propelled by advancements in the new energy sector. Research trend analysis indicates that sodium resource utilization has stabilized, whereas magnesium, a byproduct of lithium extraction, is presently a key focus for downstream product applications. Rare elements remain at the experimental research stage. The industrialization of salt lake resources, including potassium, lithium, and boron, is notably advanced. Future research should focus on the mineralization and enrichment patterns of potassium resources, developing improved extraction methods for lithium, and advancing technologies for the cost-effective and environmentally friendly separation of boron resources. 13. Pollution risk assessment and spatial distribution of potentially hazardous elements in selenium-rich soils in the Menyuan Basin of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.

Abstract

The scientific utilization of selenium (Se)-rich soils necessitates the evaluation of the contents of potentially hazardous elements (PHEs). The Menyuan Basin, a representative Se-rich region located on the northern periphery of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, was chosen as the research area. Pollution risk and spatial source analysis was conducted for eight PHEs (As, Cr, Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Ni and Hg) using 5297 topsoil samples and 480 deep-soil samples. The results show that more than 50% of the total area has a Se content >0.24 mg kg–1. According to both single and comprehensive pollution indices, there are extremely few sampling sites with PHEs at risk of contamination. Low ecological risk was seen in 93.34% of the topsoil samples. The results show that although the overall level of surface soil pollution in the study area may be deemed negligible, on the surface or in deeper layers, the concentration centres of As, Cr, Ni, Zn, Pb and other elements show consistency, indicating that underlying parent rocks are the primary source of these elements. Abstract

BackgroundNuclear reactor structural material activation analysis is an important part of nuclear reactor radiation safety analysis. The traditional cell-based activation analysis method can not describe the non-uniform spatial activation effect inside the structural material cells, resulting in a large deviation between the activation source and the dose results, so it is necessary to carry out the high-resolution activation analysis method for nuclear reactor structural materials.PurposeThis study aims to develop a high-resolution activation analysis method for nuclear reactor structural materials based on mesh activation analysis, and establish an integrated mesh-based activation analysis code (MCFisMA).MethodsFirst of all, based on Rigorous 2-step method (R2S), Monte Carlo particle transport program MCNP and activation calculation program FISPACT, the mesh-based activation method was used to divide the structural material model into fine spatial mesh, and the activation calculation of each mesh was carried out in turn to realize the precise activation calculation analysis of nuclear reactor structural materials. Then, the MCFisMA was implemented by using the neutron transport method, material activation method and activation-induced dose coupled together. In addition, NUREG/CR-6115 PWR model was used to study the application of high-resolution activation analysis of structural materials.Results & ConclusionsThe correctness and reliability of the proposed method and MCFisMA program is verified with the ITER shutdown dose rate (SDR) benchmark. The method presented in this paper has theoretical significance for improving the calculation accuracy of the activation source term and decay gamma dose field of nuclear reactor structural materials. It provides theoretical and data support for reactor shielding design, overhaul and refueling plan and decommissioning strategy.
