According to the forming conditions of local welt tubular woven fabrics, a unique series of tubular fabric structures wore designed. The main points of fabric design and trial weaving worth introduced from the aspects of design inspiration source, yarn design, fabric weave design, weaving process parameters and key measures of machine trial weaving, etc. The local weft tubular fabrics were innovatively developed on the semi-automatic weaving prototype by using the plain basic weave, double-layer weave and plain weave of the zonal welt tubular part. The fabrics have harmonious color matching, novel and unique appearance, undulating raised tube three-dimensional full, good shape. Objective: To evaluate the clinical effects of intraperitoneal chemohyperthermia (IPCH) in the treatment of postoperative patients with advanced stage ovarian cancer, and its impacts on tumor markers and immune functions., Methods: This is a retrospective study. One hundred and twenty patients with advanced stage ovarian cancer received in Shanghai 7th People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 10, 2022 to June 10, 2023 were selected and randomly divided into control and study groups (n=60 each group). Patients in the control group were administered routine intravenous chemotherapy, the study group underwent IPCH besides routine intravenous chemotherapy based on the control group. Comparatively analyzed the clinical effects, adverse reaction occurrence rates, and variations in relevant observation targets, the tumor marker after and before the treatment., Results: Total efficacy in the study and control groups are proved to be with statistically significant differences. The occurrence of adverse reactions proved that no significant differences is seen between both groups. After the treatment, CEA, CA19-9, and CA125 levels in patients of the study group are apparently lower than those in the control group, showing statistically significant differences; expression levels of CD3 + , CD4 + and CD4 + /CD8 + , in the study group were enormously above those in the control group after the treatment, with statistically significant differences., Conclusions: IPCH has the potential to effectively enhance comprehensively clinical therapeutic effects among postoperative patients with ovarian cancer, significantly improve patients' immune states, and evidently reduce expression levels of various tumor markers., Competing Interests: Conflicts of interest: None., (Copyright: © Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences.)

Traditional Chinese Medicine, known for its minimal side effects and significant clinical efficacy, has attracted considerable interest for its potential in cancer therapy. In particular, Inula helenium L. has demonstrated effectiveness in inhibiting a variety of cancers. This study focuses on alantolactone (ALT), a prominent compound from Inula helenium L., recognized for its anti-cancer capabilities across multiple cancer types. The primary objective of this study is to examine the influence of ALT on the proliferation, apoptosis, cell cycle, and tumor growth of cervical cancer (CC) cells, along with its associated signaling pathways. To determine protein expression alterations, Western blot analysis was conducted. Furthermore, an in vivo model was created by subcutaneously injecting HeLa cells into nude mice to assess the impact of ALT on cervical cancer. Our research thoroughly investigates the anti-tumor potential of ALT in the context of CC. ALT was found to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in SiHa and HeLa cell lines, particularly targeting ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) proteins associated with DNA damage. The suppression of DNA damage and apoptosis induction when ATM was inhibited underscores the crucial role of the ATM/cell cycle checkpoint kinase 2 (CHK2) axis in ALT's anti-tumor effects. In vivo studies with a xenograft mouse model further validated ALT's effectiveness in reducing CC tumor growth and promoting apoptosis. This study offers new insights into how ALT combats CC, highlighting its promise as an effective anti-cervical cancer agent and providing hope for improved treatment outcomes for CC patients.

Objective: To investigate the effects of light fasting diet therapy, including flaxseed powder supplementation, on lipid metabolism and sex hormone levels in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) combined with infertility., Methods: A total of 104 PCOS patients with combined infertility were divided into the control group ( n  = 52) and intervention group ( n  = 52) using a random number table method. Over a two-month study period, the control group received light fasting diet therapy with rice flour as a placebo, while the intervention group received light fasting diet therapy supplemented with flaxseed powder. Differences in general clinical data, anthropometric indicators, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), Homeostatic Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR), total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)) were compared between the two groups., Results: After treatment, both groups showed significant reductions in FSH, LH, E2, and P levels compared to baseline ( p  < .05). In the intervention group, the mean FINS and HOMA-IR levels were significantly lower than those in the control group following 2 months of treatment ( p  < .05). Furthermore, TC, TG, and LDL-C levels were significantly reduced in the intervention group compared to the control group ( p  < .05)., Conclusion: Light fasting diet therapy, especially with flaxseed powder, improves obesity, lipid, and glucose metabolism disorders in PCOS patients with infertility. However, longitudinal studies are needed to better understand these associations and assess long-term effects before considering this intervention as a standard clinical recommendation for PCOS.
