Two complexes, {[Hg(4-pmpmd)Br2]•CHCl3)}n(1), [Cd(4-pmpmd) (CF3SO3)2]n (2) were synthesized (4-pmpmd: N,N′-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)pyromellitic diimide). Both complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, single crystal X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analyses. Complex 1 features a typical 1D zigzag chain structure with the adjacent chains intertwined via hydrogen bonds, while complex 2 shows 1D parallel-packed wavy chains structure through π···π stacking interactions. The weak interactions of pyromellitic diimide and anions effect on 1D chain supramolecular structural diversity. Taking advantage of azide anion strong binding affinities, complex 2 could be developed as fluorescence sensor for azide anion. Two 1D chain complexes were synthesized based on N,N′-bis(4-pyridylmethyl) pyromellitic diimide, the anions and pyromellitic diimide ligand effect on 1D chains supramolecular structural diversity. Three cobalt coordination polymers, namely {[Co(4-pmntd)(CFSO)(HO)]·(CFSO)·(CHOH)·0.5(HCCl)·HO} ( 1), {[Co(4-pmntd)(HO)]·(NO)·HO} ( 2), and {[Co(4-pmntd)(pta)(CHOH)]·2(CHCl)} ( 3) (4-pmntd = N, N′-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)-naphthalene diimide; pta = terephthalate), have been synthesized by reactions of 4-pmntd with Co(CFSO)·4HO, Co(NO)·6HO, and Co(pta), respectively. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses, IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In complex 1, the ligand adopts U-mode, resulting in a dumbbell-like 2D (4, 4)-sql net structure in a non-interpenetrating edge-to-edge arrangement. The Z-mode ligand arrangement leads to 1D zigzag chains for complex 2, and a 2D twofold interpenetrating bat-like (4, 4)-sql net for complex 3. A solution of complex 2 in DMF showed a change in color and remarkably enhanced fluorescence upon the addition of two equivalents of acetate, whereas other anions did not induce a color change. Hence, complex 2 can act as a highly promising acetate-detecting reagent. Their thermal and the gas adsorption properties of complexes 1 and 3 were investigated. The complex [Zn2(tbb)Cl4] ·4DMF [tbb = meso-1,2,3,4-tetra(1H-benzo-[ d]imidazol-2-yl)butane] was synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal structure analyses [C44H54N12Cl4O4Zn2, Mr = 1087.53, crystal system, monoclinic, space group, P21/ n, a = 9.2307(12), b = 11.3748(14), c = 23.874(3) Å, β = 90.480(2)°]. In the complex, one meso-1,2,3,4-tetra(1H-benzo-[ d]imidazol-2-yl)butane coordinates two zinc ions. Both the zinc ions are coordinated in a tetrahedral fashion by two nitrogen atoms of tbb and two chloride ions. The complex emits blue luminescence in DMF solution and exhibits inhibition on the growth of Eca109 cancer cell with IC50 of 22.1 ± 6.7 μM, which was lower than that of cisplatin (62.5 ± 12.4 μM) and ligand (tbb) (24.7 ± 7.8 μM). A unique 2-fold interpenetrated CdSO4coordination networkof the formula {[Cu2(4-pmpmd)2(CH3OH)4(opd)2]·2H2O}n[4-pmpmd = N,N′-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)phenyldiimide; opd = o-phthalic acid] has been synthesized and characterized by IR spectra,thermogravimetric (TG) analyses, elemental analyses, and single crystaland powder X-ray diffraction methods. The metal–organic framework(MOF) exhibits reversible dehydration and rehydration in a single-crystal-to-single-crystal(SC–SC) process. Moreover, the dehydrated material, havingcoordinatively unsaturated Cu2+sites, can encapsulateCH3OH molecules with a color change, again in a reversibleSC–SC fashion, and shows selective adsorption of CO2over N2and H2. This feature of obvious colorvariation induced by the presence of small hydroxylic molecules ishighly promising for detecting hydroxylic molecules through a simplesensing mechanism. In addition, the MOF selectively interacts withhydroxylic guests and shows sorption selectivity for water, methanol,ethanol, and n-propanol over benzene guests. Abstract: Three low dimensional Na–Ni complexes based on simple Ni Schiff-base complex [Ni(sy-L1)]2·H2O (1) known as “ligand complex” (bis(acetylacetone)ethylenediamine=H2acacen or sy-H2L1), namely, zero dimensional [Ni(sy-L1)Na(NO3)]2} n (2), one dimensional [Ni(sy-L1)]2Na(ClO4) (3) and one dimensional {[Ni(sy-L1)]2]Na(ClO4)} n (4), have been easily and efficiently synthesized through conversion strategies with good yields and more environmentally friendly reaction conditions, in which compounds 3 and 4 represent the first 1-D Na–Ni heteronuclear complexes based on symmetric acacen-base Schiff base ligand. Several low-dimensional Ni/Ni−Cd complexes containing the N2O2 donor tetradentate symmetrical Schiff base ligand bis(acetylacetone)ethylene-diamine (sy-H2L2), namely, [Ni(sy-L2)]2·HLa·ClO4 (2), (HLa)2·(ClO4)·(NO3) (3), [Ni(sy-L2)X]2](4,4′-bipy) (where La = 5,7-dimethyl-3,6-dihydro-2H-1,4-diazepine, X = ClO4 (4), X = NO3 (5), [Ni(sy-L2)Cd(SCN)2]n (6) and [Ni(sy-L2)·Cd(N3)2]n (7), have been synthesized from [Ni(sy-L2)]2·H2O (1). Complex 2 is a three-component discrete assembly generated from a (HLa)+ moiety bridged with a [Ni(sy-L2)] unit and ClO4− anion. A solution containing complex 2 and Cd(NO3)2 results in a mixture of 1 and 3. Further recrystallization of 1 and 3 with various auxiliary ligands provides coordination complexes 4−7 stabilized by weak hydrogen bonds in which 6 and 7 represent the first one-dimensional heteronuclear complexes based on the symmetric acacen-base Schiff base ligand. A 4 4 .6 10 .8 topology hybrid ultramicroporous material (HUM), {[Cu 1.5 F(SiF 6 )(L) 2.5 ]·G} n , (L = 4,4'-bisimidazolylbiphenyl, G = guest molecules), 1, formed by cross-linking interpenetrated 3D four-connected CdSO 4 -type nets with hexafluorosilicate anions is synthesized and evaluated in the context of gas sorption and separation herein. 1 is the first HUM functionalized with two different types of fluorinated sites (SiF 6 2- and F - anions) lining along the pore surface. The optimal pore size (≈5 Å) combining mixed and high-density electronegative fluorinated sites enable 1 to preferentially adsorb C 2 H 2 over CO 2 and C 2 H 4 by hydrogen bonding interactions with a high C 2 H 2 isosteric heat of adsorption (Q st ) of ≈42.3 kJ mol -1 at zero loading. The pronounced discriminatory sorption behaviors lead to excellent separation performance for C 2 H 2 /CO 2 and C 2 H 2 /C 2 H 4 that surpasses many well-known sorbents. Dynamic breakthrough experiments are conducted to confirm the practical separation capability of 1, which reveal an impressive separation factor of 6.1 for equimolar C 2 H 2 /CO 2 mixture. Furthermore, molecular simulation and density functional theory (DFT) calculations validate the strong binding of C 2 H 2 stems from the chelating fix of C 2 H 2 between SiF 6 2- anion and coordinated F - anion., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)

This study aimed to identify more biomarkers associated with osteosarcoma progression via lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network. Dataset GSE99671 was downloaded from GEO database. The mRNAs and lncRNAs that were differentially expressed between tumor and normal samples were screened out. Functional enrichment analysis of differentially expressed mRNAs was carried out, followed by weighted gene correlation network analysis (WGCNA). Based on the lncRNAs and mRNAs, a lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network was constructed. Total 703 mRNAs and 7 lncRNAs were differentially expressed between tumor and normal tissues. The mRNAs were significantly enriched in functions associated with inflammatory response as well as autoimmune thyroid disease and ribosome pathways. WGCNA revealed that ME2 module had a high correlation with tumor, and ST3GAL4, UCK2, PSAT1 etc. had higher connectivity degrees in this module. lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network showed that 12 mRNAs, such as PEMT, COL10A1 and GSTA1, were synergistically expressed with lncRNA TTTY14. Inflammatory response and ribosome synthesis may play important role in osteosarcoma progression. lncRNA TTTY14 may affect the development of osteosarcoma by cooperative expression with PEMT, COL10A1, GSTA1, etc. ST3GAL4, UCK2, PSAT1 as well as TTTY14 may serve as key biomarkers in osteosarcoma.

The selective separation of ethanol/acetonitrile by porous materials has rarely been observed owing to their similar physicochemical properties. In this work, we report a new coordination network, [Cu 2 (4-pmntd) 2 (opd) 2 ](4-pmntd = N , N '-bis(4-pyridymethy)naphthalene diimide, opd = disodium 1,2-benzenedicarboxylate), which exhibits selective separation of ethanol over acetonitrile. A novel Zn-Ni heterotrinuclear Schiff base compound bearing acacen(2-) moieties was constructed through the selective assembly of a chemosensor Schiff base zinc compound with a Ni(2+) ion. Its crystal structure not only clearly explains the binding mode between the chemosensor molecule and the detected metal ion but also represents the first trinuclear complex based on a symmetric acacen(2-) base Schiff base.
