The internal phenotypes of netted muskmelon (Cucumis melo L. var. eticulates Naud.) are always associated with its external phenotypes. In this study, the parameters of external phenotypic traits were extracted from muskmelon images captured by machine vision, and the internal phenotypes of interest to us were measured. Pearson analysis showed that most external phenotypic traits were highly correlated with these internal phenotypes in muskmelon fruit. In this study, we used the random forest algorithm to predict muskmelon fruit internal phenotypes based on the significantly associated external parameters. Carotenoids, sucrose, and total soluble solid (TSS) were the three most accurately monitored internal phenotypes with prediction R-squared (R2) values of 0.947 (root-mean-square error (RMSE) = 0.019 mg/100 g), 0.918 (RMSE = 3.233 mg/g), and 0.916 (RMSE = 1.089%), respectively. Further, a simplified model was constructed and validated based on the top 10 external phenotypic parameters associated with each internal phenotype, and these parameters were filtered with the varImp function from the random forest package. The top 10 external phenotypic parameters correlated with each internal phenotype used in the simplified model were not identical. The results showed that the simplified models also accurately monitored the melon internal phenotypes, despite that the predicted R2 values decreased 0.3% to 7.9% compared with the original models. This study improved the efficiency and accuracy of real-time fruit quality monitoring for greenhouse muskmelon.

FePt nanoparticles have the potential to extend the data density of magnetic recording beyond 1 Tbit/[in.sup.2]. The phase transformation from low anisotropy, face-centered cubic to face-centered tetragonal with high anisotropy is essential and complex. The samples measured in this paper were annealed in a mixture with fine ground ( Index Terms--FePt nanoparticle, [L1.sub.0] phase, phase transformation.

The microstructure, magnetic properties and easy axis alignment of chemically ordering FePt nanoparticles are studied. The results have shown the c-axis alignment for a monolayer of [L1.sub.0] FePt particles and the intensity of (200) electron diffraction (ED) has clearly shown twofold symmetry.

This report presents findings from a review of the journals Dyslexia and Annals of Dyslexia over a 10-year period from 2005 to 2014. Three hundred articles were reviewed to examine statistical methodology and reporting practices. Articles were coded according to their reported covariates, effect sizes, and statistical methods. In addition, trends were examined in relation to the 2008 release of the What Works Clearinghouse Procedures and Standards Handbook from the Institute of Education Sciences in order to evaluate any potential impact of recommended practices. We found an increase in prevalence of specific statistical methods as well as increases in reporting of effect sizes following publication of the handbook. The reporting of effect sizes statistically significantly increased following publication of the manual (55% prepublication vs. 72% post-publication). The use of analysis of variance increased post-publication, whereas articles using no statistical methods or descriptives only decreased. Approximately one third of articles included covariates in their analysis; inclusion of covariates was consistent from prepublication to post-publication. Chemically ordered FePt nanoparticles were obtained by high temperature annealing a mixture of FePt particles with NaCl. After the NaCl was removed with de-ionized water, the transformed FePt nanoparticles were redispersed in cyclohexanone. X-ray diffraction patterns clearly show the L10 phase. Scherrer analysis indicates that the average particle size is about 8 nm, which is close to the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) statistical results. The coercivity ranges from 16 kOe to more than 34 kOe from room temperature down to 10 K. High resolution TEM images reveal that most of the FePt particles were fully transformed into the L10 phase, except for a small fraction of particles which were partially chemically ordered. Nano-energy dispersive spectroscopy measurements on the individual particles show that the composition of the fully transformed particles is close to 50/50, while the composition of the partially transformed particles is far from equiatomic. TEM images and electron diffraction patterns indicate c-axis alignment for a monolayer of L10 FePt particles formed by drying a dilute dispersion on copper grids under a magnetic field. For thick samples dried under a magnetic field, the degree of easy axis alignment is not as high as predicted due to strong interactions between particles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To transfer face-centered-cubic (fcc) FePt nanoparticles to the face-centered-tetragonal (fct) phase with high magnetic anisotropy, heat treatments are necessary. The heat treatments lead to agglomeration and sintering of the nanoparticles. To prevent the particles from sintering, salts as the separating media (matrix) have been used for annealing the nanoparticles in our experiments. The fcc nanoparticles produced by chemical synthesis were mixed with NaCl powders. The mixture was then annealed in forming gas (93%H2+7%Ar) in different conditions to complete the fcc to fct phase transition. After the annealing, the salt was washed out by water and monodisperse fct FePt nanoparticles were obtained. Detailed studies on the effect of the NaCl-to-FePt weight ratios (from 1:1 to 400:1) have been performed. It was found that a suitable NaCl-to-FePt ratio is the key to obtain monodisperse fct FePt nanoparticles. A higher NaCl-to-FePt ratio is needed for larger particles when the annealing conditions are the same. Increased annealing temperature and time should be accompanied by a higher NaCl-to-FePt ratio. Magnetic measurements show very high coercivity (up to 30 kOe) of the monodispersed fct nanoparticles by the salt-matrix annealing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To study the effect of Yang Xue Qing Nao Granule (YXQNG) on the chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI)., Methods: 80 cases with CCI were divided randomly into treatment group (43 cases) and control group (37 cases). Each group was disposed with intravenous drops of energy mixture. Besides, treatment group was prescribed with YXQNG, control group received nimedipine plates. The whole therapeutic process of each group was 30 days. The vertibrobasal artery systolic end maximum flow rate (VBASEMFR) and blood rheology (BR) were tested before and after treatment., Results: The total efficiency of treatment group was 90.70% (P < 0.05). The effect of treatment group on lowering blood viscosity and enhancing the cerebral blood flow rate was better than that of control group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: YXQNG can effectively treat CCI and improve the life quality of patients.
