8. The complete plastome genome sequence of Cynanchum otophyllum (Asclepiadaceae), a unique medicinal species in China.

Abstract

Cynanchum otophyllum Schneid is an important medicinal plant in China. In this paper, the chloroplast genome of C. otophyllum was sequenced based on high-throughput technology, and the chloroplast genome structure characteristics and phylogenetic relationship of C. otophyllum were analyzed. The results showed the complete plastome genome size of C. otophyllumis 160,874bp, including one small single copy (SSC, 19,851bp) and one large single copy (LSC, 92,009bp) regions isolated by a pair of inverted repeat regions (IRs, 24,507bp). The whole plastome genome including 84 protein encoding genes, 8 rRNA and 37 tRNA. Based on the phylogenetic topologies, C. otophyllum shows close association with additional Gomphocarpus and Asclepias genus. This study contributes to an enhanced understanding of the genetic information of C. otophyllum and provides a theoretical basis for the development of molecular markers and phylogeographic of the species, as well as for constructing the phylogenetic tree of Asclepiadaceae. Abstract

In vehicular network, high reliability and low latency of communication ensure the driving safety. In order to avoid traffic accidents, it is important to warn surrounding vehicles before a potential traffic accident occurs as soon as possible. In the case of short spectrum resource, a reasonable resource allocation for alarm information is critical in V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) communication. In this paper, a modified scheme is introduced by taking account of vehicle's priority level and spectrum availability to allocate the frequency resources to upcoming cars. The connection among priority level vehicles will be ensured and channel congestion caused by the surrounding vehicles will be drastically reduced while spectrum resources are insufficient. Simulation results show that the combinative use of sharing vehicle level and available spectrum resource improves the efficiency of spectrum resources, shortens the access-time of alarm information on the premise of successful communication, and improves the safety of vehicle driving.

Abstract

In this paper, we firstly explored the attributes of knowledge embedded in outsourced software projects. We identified three attributes of knowledge by a review of literature and referred to these as codifiability, complexity and novelty. Drawing on organizational controls, social capital and knowledge transfer literature, this paper presented a model demonstrating the role of particular organizational controls (outcome, process and social) in knowledge transfer between client and vendor characterized by different knowledge attribute. Especially, we examined how social capital dimensions (structural, cognitive and relational) affect the transfer of knowledge between client and vendor. We also showed the role and impact of information and communications technology (ICT) on outsourced software projects especially on offshore projects which faced with cultural differences, language differences, time zone differences, geographic distance and other challenges. Results showed from the perspective of vendor, in order to acquire and transfer knowledge from client more effectively, Chinese enterprises should make full use of ICTs to built social capital with client.
