Barnett responds to three articles that put the thought of Søren Kierkegaard in conversation with modern popular media. He argues that each of these pieces demonstrates that Kierkegaard's criticism of the burgeoning free press remains relevant today, particularly in the areas of journalistic practice, mental health, and political responsibility. Introduction: The purpose of this research was to design an interpretative structural model of factors affecting the accountability of managers of sports organizations. Methods: The method of this research was mixed and its design was exploratory. The statistical population of this research was made up of experts (headquarters of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, National Olympic Committee, National Paralympic Committee and heads of sports federations), 17 of them were selected purposefully and based on theoretical saturation. . A semi-structured interview was used to collect data in a qualitative study, and a questionnaire was used to collect information in a quantitative study. In order to check the quality and validity of the findings, the audit of validity, transferability, reliability and verifiability was used, and to analyze the data of the qualitative study, coding was used, and the structuralinterpretive analysis method was used for the quantitative study. Results: As a result of qualitative data analysis, 12 effective factors on the accountability of managers of sports organizations were identified, and as a result of quantitative data analysis, these factors were categorized into five levels, and the variables of individual context, clarification and disambiguation were identified, awareness and enforcement of rights and specialized field are among the most fundamental layer. Conclusion: The results show that in order to move on the complex path of accountability of managers of sports organizations, individual and specialized capacity must be created at the beginning and at the same time, attention should be paid to informing and enforcing rights, as well as clarifying and removing ambiguity. In the deformation monitoring of the steel-shell concrete immersed tunnel construction in the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the experimental research on deformation monitoring with three -dimensional aerial traverse method was carried out. Through theoretical precision analysis, simulation test, and engineering verification, the three -dimensional aerial traverse method meets the accuracy requirements of immersed tunnel construction monitoring. Compared with the conventional leveling method, it has the advantages of simple operation, saving manpower and material resources, shortening monitoring time, significantly improving the working efficiency of construction monitoring, and can provide a reference for the construction deformation monitoring of similar projects. Gallium nitride (GaN) nanowire (NW) vacuum field emission (FE) devices are promising candidates for next generation devices, as they are expected to combine the advantageous features of solid-state devices with those of vacuum electronics. The performance of these devices relies on NW formation with well-defined cylindrical shape and minimum surface damage, while their accurate evaluation requires nanometer-resolution probing. To address the latter, top–down GaN NW FE devices with an integrated leveling structure were fabricated and their characteristics are reported. A custom-made vacuum characterization system with a 1-mm-diameter cylindrical piezoelectrically actuated probe with nanometer-resolution, served as the anode of the FE device, in the characterization system used for studying the GaN NW FE devices. The fabricated FE devices exhibited a maximum current density of ~ 1.0 A/cm2 and a turn-on voltage of ~ 85 V, using a total number of 22,500 NWs with 160 nm diameter and a ~ 2-μm anode to NW separation distance. Further improvement of the technology could enable the exploitation of the piezoelectric system for probing with nanometer-scale vertical resolution FE devices with closely spaced anode to cathode configurations. This characterization system and the proposed process flow can also be adopted for the nanometer-resolution piezoelectric probing of different semiconductor NW materials, providing an easy and cost-effective way of FE measurements of vertical NWs. The vibration of the leveling mill is common in metallurgical enterprises, which causes vibration marks on the surface of the support rolls and affects the surface quality of the strip. This paper establishes a bearing-rotor system model for a leveling mill, and finds that reducing the bearing clearance helps to improve the stability of the mill. The study of different speeds under the amplitude of the change, the work of the roll system gap changes on the vibration of the mill. The aim of this research was to select parameters for the roll pre-leveler to provide sheet metal waviness reduction after unwinding from the coil. Straightening parameters were selected based on the results of numerical simulations with the use of an FEM-based computer program. The material used for research was a hot-rolled sheet metal of grade S235JR + AR with a thickness of 3 mm and width of 1500 mm after unwinding from the coil. A mathematical model was developed to determine straightening roll arrangements in the pre-leveler. It enabled roll arrangement selection and a straightening scheme to be elaborated. The model's innovative feature was conducting straightening numerical simulations for the real sheet metal geometric models obtained as a result of 3D laser scanning, which increased the accuracy of the numerical calculations. A method is proposed to fuse the velocity data of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and leveling height via combined adjustment with constraints. First, stable GNSS–leveling points are uniformly selected, and the constraints of the geodetic height change velocity and normal height change velocity are given. Then, the GNSS vertical velocities and leveling height difference are used as observations of combined adjustment, and robust least-squares estimation are used to estimate the velocities of the unknown points. Finally, a vertical movement model is established with the GNSS vertical velocities and leveling vertical velocities obtained via combined adjustment. Data from the second-order leveling network and GNSS control points in Shandong Province are taken as test data, and eight calculation schemes are used for discussion. One of the schemes, the bifactor robust combined adjustment method based on variance component estimation with two kinds of vertical velocity constraints achieves the optimal results. The method applied in the scheme can be recommended for data fusion of GNSS and leveling, further improving the reliability of vertical crustal movement in Shandong Province.

The authors discuss a case that is full of examples of the problems faced by civil engineers whose task is to develop areas in the face of natural, technological, or post-mining hazards. The study area is in the central part of Inowrocław, a town located on a massive salt dome of Zechstein salts. A strong deformation zone expanded in its upper part; this was caused by a natural process (related to so-called salt karst) and by mining activities that occurred in the past, creating a problem with regard to any potential spatial development in the town. The authors show a combination of data obtained using gravimetric and geodetic methods, which helps us to assess the geohazard risk. These include remote sensing data, which can be used to evaluate displacements of the ground surface. The authors used an approach that they term the Elevation Difference Method. This consists of determining displacements between ground surfaces: estimated on the basis of remote sensing data and on the basis of the historical data, when mounted measurement points (and remote sensing data) did not exist. The authors discuss the results in the light of the geological background. Within the area of the study, the displacements of the positive values dominate. The displacement occurs at 6 mm/yr on average and indicates diapiric uplift movement. In this paper, I explore Kierkegaard's views on envy as developed in A Literary Review, by confronting them with the capital vices tradition. I begin by developing a basic account of envy that serves as a point of reference throughout the paper. I then turn to the capital vices tradition, elaborating the concept of a capital vice, and discussing the views of Basil of Caesarea, Evagrius of Pontus, John Cassian, Gregory the Great, and Thomas Aquinas on envy's viciousness. Subsequently, I discuss Kierkegaard's treatment of envy in A Literary Review, exploring two of its key notions—'the public' and 'leveling'—through a reading of L.P. Hartley's novel Facial Justice (1960). In the final part of the paper, I show that the originality of Kierkegaard's account of envy consists both in its character as a collective vice and its evaluative status as vicious yet valuable. The height determination of control and detail points is essential during the process of planning and manufacturing in the practice of civil engineering. Planning maps are drawn for the former, while the intended plan is set out on the ground during manufacturing, and after the manufacturing the completed installation is mapped. Using the same reference system in all three steps, both horizontally and vertically, is recommended even though in some cases it is unavoidable to change from one reference level to another. Regardless of the fact that both refer to the mean sea level of the Baltic Sea, this can create difficulties, since the difference between the EOMA and Bendefy networks used in Hungary shows varying values depending on the geographical location. Invasive pressure monitors are ubiquitous in cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia. This technology allows beat-to-beat assessment of central venous, pulmonary, and arterial blood pressures during surgery, procedural interventions, and critical care. Education is commonly focused on the procedural aspects and the complications associated with the initial placement of these monitors without instruction on the technical concepts required for obtaining accurate data. Anesthesiologists must understand the fundamental concepts on which measurements are made to effectively use invasive pressure monitors, including pulmonary artery catheters, central venous catheters, intra-arterial catheters, external ventricular drains, and spinal or lumbar drains. This review will address important gaps in knowledge surrounding leveling and zeroing of invasive pressure monitors, emphasizing the impact of varied practice patterns on patient care. This study investigates the social and historical dynamics affecting the religion/sect-based linguistic distribution and associations of the Qaf variants, namely [q] and [ʔ]. The findings are based on the data gathered through interactions with 93 Arabic speakers from Tartus Center, Syria. The descriptive analysis reveals the presence of religion/sect-based linguistic distribution, with [q] being dominant mainly among Alawites and [ʔ] being dominant among Sunnis and Christians and increasingly becoming popular among Alawites of the urban regions. The paper highlights the emergence of [q] as a religiously, socially, and symbolically marked Alawite variant during the war, contrary to the [ʔ], which became a supralocal and religiously neutral variant that speakers of marked [q] backgrounds can resort to at times of tension and social pressure. The leveling process is the initial stage before operating a lathe. The test will be carried out if the flatness on the machine and the results have deviated greatly, it must be leveled on the lathe. This study aims at a high level of accuracy of machine tools in the form of leveling on three types of Gedee Weiler LZ 330 G lathes located at the AK-Manufaktur Bantaeng Manufacturing Workshop. This type of research is categorized as quantitative research which is an inductive, objective and scientific method in which the data is processed in the form of numbers or statements which are then analyzed. Data from the test results of the M1 lathe with the longitudinal tilt direction towards the off head, while in the transverse position the slope direction is towards the rear slide. Flatness deviation reaches 1.06 mm in the longitudinal position and 0.15 mm in the transverse position. For the M2 lathe, the direction of the longitudinal slope is the direction of the off head, while in the transverse position, the direction of the slope of the fore runway. Deviation of flatness reaches 1.3 mm in the longitudinal position and 1.75 in the transverse position and the M3 lathe with the longitudinal slope direction towards the off head, while in the transverse position the slope direction is towards the front of the runway. Flatness deviation reaches 1.65 mm in the longitudinal position and 10.15 mm in the transverse position.

Duration, cost, and resources are defined as project constraints. Consequently, in each project, one of these constraints is received attention compared with another. Thus, the abilities of construction project manager should include balancing these constraints in a way that all the project objectives are fulfilled. Achieving this balance is conducted by determining the best alternative for each activity, while minimizing project total cost and duration and satisfies resources constraints as well as smoothing resource histograms. For that purpose, this study aims at optimizing project schedule to provide this balance by using multi construction methods which is mainly based on multiskilling strategy. As will be discussed, to achieve this goal, a model was developed and genetic algorithm is used to preform optimization. This study contributes to the body of knowledge a model able to produce schedules with appropriate project duration, cost, and quality, also satisfy resource constraints with most leveled histograms.

The waterborne wet-on-wet self-drying waterborne polyurethane topcoat and waterborne polyurethane varnish for urban rail trains are developed. The main resin is determined adjusting the formula. The effects of on different R values on appearance and endurance of coatings are investigated, wherein the curing agent type and dosage are optimized. The appearance and physical and chemical properties of waterborne polyurethane finish paint and waterborne polyurethane varnish are analyzed respectively. The effects of wetting agent, film-forming agent, explosion-proof foam agent, antioxidant and other additives on the performance of waterborne coatings are examined. Foreign projects have few leveling control points and uneven basic data, and ordinary leveling methods have disadvantages of time consuming and energy consuming, which cannot meet the requirements of project schedule. Therefore, it is necessary to study the applicability of GNSS elevation fitting technology in foreign projects. Firstly, the basic principle of GNSS elevation fitting was described, and several commonly used fitting algorithms were introduced. Self-developed elevation fitting software was used to establish the GNSS elevation fitting model, and the accuracy and applicability of the results of different elevation fitting methods were compared by calculation, and the accuracy difference and applicability between different GNSS fitting algorithms and leveling were analyzed by practical application in the Nigeria railway project. The results show that, the surface fitting accuracy of the four elevation fitting methods is the best, and the inner and outer fitting accuracy are 1. 05 mm and 2. 4 mm respectively. Compared with the height difference of the fourth level, the qualified rate of curved surface fitting is 100%, followed by quadratic curve fitting with 82%, straight line fitting with 76% and plane fitting with the worst qualified rate only 42%. Comparing the fitting height difference with the known water point closure difference, the qualified rate of curved surface fitting is 100%, followed by quadratic curve fitting with 50%, straight line fitting with 25%, and plane fitting with the worst, only 12. 5%. The Ordos Block in China experiences tectonic activity and frequent earthquakes due to compression from the Tibetan Plateau and extension from the North China Block. This has prompted the construction of a high-resolution three-dimensional (3D) deformation field to better understand the region's crustal movement. Considering the limitations of the existing geodetic observations, we used InSAR, GPS, and leveling observations to create a high-precision 3D deformation field for the Ordos Block. Spherical wavelet decomposition was used to separate tectonic and non-tectonic deformation signals. Short-wavelength non-tectonic deformation fields revealed complex surface deformation patterns caused by groundwater, oil, gas extraction, and coal mining. Long-wavelength tectonic deformation fields showed subsidence in the southern margin of the block, while the interior and northeastern margins were uplifted. By combining imaging results from the seismic velocity structure and magnetotellurics, we infer that the upwelling of deep materials beneath the northeastern margin leads to surface uplift with tensile strain rates. The crustal uplift in the area south of 38°N matches the thickening of the lower crust. The weak subsidence and eastward horizontal movement disappearing near 108°E at the southern margin support the existence of asthenosphere flow beneath the Qinling orogenic belt. Optimal allocation between different economic sectors requires a correct understanding of the efficiency of resources in each sector. When there is a scarcity of one or more resources that play a more vital role in the production of a sector, the optimal allocation of that scarce resource between different sectors is critical. In this study, different provinces of the country in terms of spatial dispersion and levels of development of horticultural indicators have been measured by different methods of factor analysis and cluster analysis as well as HDI method. Cluster analysis and HDI in geographical studies In this study, an attempt has been made to study the spatial distribution of horticultural indicators in 30 provinces of the country in terms of development. For this purpose, 22 normalized variables were studied. They selected 4 factors that contain 87% of the information of primary variables and then based on these four factors, different provinces of the country were classified into 5 homogeneous clusters and to measure its development by Horticultural development index method, agricultural development index. It has been used that the most developed province in terms of horticulture is Isfahan with HDI 0.37% and the most deprived provinces of Bushehr and Qom with HDI is 0.94%.

Objectives: The leveling and GNSS (global navigation satellite system) results are provided important data for studying the vertical movement in Chinese Mainland. Give full play to the advantages of high precision leveling points and uniform distribution of GNSS points and help improve the reliability of the vertical movement model. In the process of fusion, the lack of coincidence points between leveling and GNSS causes joint adjustment of velocity fusion to fail, a fusion method based on final model is proposed. Methods: First, we establish respective vertical movement model by leveling and GNSS with the method of inverse distance to a power. Second,we fuse two types of models by weighted average according to the grid point precision and nearest point principle depending on the distance between grid point and measured point. Aiming at the problem that the weight associated with the distance and the velocity precision affects the final model when inverse distance weighted is applied, a method of multiplying the weight is proposed to determine reasonable weight value for each factor.The vertical movement model of Chinese Mainland is established by using the national first order leveling result, national GNSS geodetic control network and so on. In order to measure the improvement of GNSS results on the vertical movement model, we utilize 20% of the modeling points selected from leveling and GNSS points uniformly to statistics the precision of leveling and fused vertical movement model. Results: The results show that the fused vertical movement model has increased by 35.3% in Qinghai Tibet region, 53.6% in other regions of Chinese Mainland and 50.8% in Chinese Mainland. The subsidence of North China Plain and Jiangsu⁃Shanghai areas are severe, where the velocity of individual areas is up to 100 mm/a, the North East of China and Tibet areas show a rising trend, and the velocity exceeds 5 mm/a in local area, the vertical movement in other areas is relatively stable. Conclusions: Therefore, GNSS results can improve the precision and accuracy of the leveling vertical movement model, which is especially obvious inside the leveling loop. The single source data vertical movement model is established based on the method of multiplication of two factors, and the fused vertical movement model of Chinese Mainland is established by the method of the result fusion. In this study, two different grammar books prepared in 1834 and 1862 in order to teach Turkish to the French as a foreign language in the 19th century are compared. There are some differences as well as similarities in these grammar books prepared by Hindoğlu in 1834 and by Mallouf in 1862. In both books, the topics are presented with the grammar translation method, and grammatical topics such as tenses, relative suffixes, case suffixes are presented in French and Turkish translations, inflected according to the subjects, detached from the context. The inclusion of daily language expressions, dialogues and reading texts consisting of letters in Mallouf's book is proof of the adoption of a communicative and functional method in foreign language teaching. When these two works were compared in terms of teaching grammar subjects, it was seen that the subjects were given in the same order. In Mallouf's book, words are more dense and more associated with everyday language use. In these works, which were compared according to Cunningsworth's textbook evaluation scale, some items such as pronunciation files were not taken into consideration when considered according to the conditions of the period. In the teaching of grammar subjects, a teaching method that guides memorization without any leveling or gradual processing is utilized. Recent Digital Surface, Elevation, and Bathymetric Models (DSM/DEM/DBM) aim to provide high-resolution and accurate height and depth information needed for a variety of surveying, geodetic, geophysical, and other applications. In this study, first we aim to validate in two test areas some of the most used models, i.e., ASTER GDEM; AW3D30 DSM; Copernicus DEM; EU-DEM; GEBCO 2020; NASADEM HGT; SRTM15+ and SRTM Global, using GNSS; spirit leveling; and gravity measurements. The validation is performed along two traverses of 14.5 and 12.0 km each in Northern and Central Greece, respectively. Since these models are based on geoid heights obtained from global geopotential models, we also investigate their influence on the validation results. Next, we carry out comparisons between GEBCO 2020, SRTM15+, and the Greek Seas DTM, with depths derived from in situ coastal measurements in six different areas in Northern Greece. From the analysis, we conclude that the heights obtained from the Copernicus DEM provide the best overall results in terms of mean value and standard deviation while also showing consistent results in the two test areas. In the installation process of offshore wind turbines, the control of dip angle is very strict, so the leveling in the sinking process of bucket foundation is a key construction technology. Aiming at the installation process of four bucket foundation, the leveling experimental study was carried out in sand. During the test, the changes of pressure, installation depth in each bucket and the inclination angle of foundation were monitored, so as to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different leveling methods. The experimental results show that using single bucket pressure leveling method can make the foundation leveling more accurate, but the leveling efficiency is low; Using the method of multiple buckets pressure leveling can make the leveling efficiency higher, but the fluctuation of the foundation will be larger in the leveling process; Combined leveling has high practicability, which can integrate the advantages of single bucket pressure leveling and multiple buckets pressure leveling. The main development trend of the logging industry is the continuous improvement of existing equipment, the manufacturing application of prospective technological processes, and the use of effective technical solutions that will increase labor productivity and reduce production costs. About 150 million m³ of wood is harvested annually in Russia. The harvested wood is supplied to consumers by road 54.7%, rail 39%, and water 6.3% transport [11]. Each type of vehicle has its own rules for the transportation of goods. In order to load round timber into transport as efficiently as possible, it is necessary to align the ends of the round timber. The problem of alignment of the ends of round timber is widespread in the logging industry. Often, this problem is solved individually at each enterprise. To form a pack of logs before loading on the timber transport, various end-leveling devices are used. Gravity levelers are the most common, they are easy to manufacture and economical. The principle of their work is to use the gravity of the load lowered by the crane onto the alignments equipment. The currently existing and previously developed designs of such devices have a number of disadvantages: long alignment time, large friction forces, and the need to repeat the operations. Therefore, the purpose of our research is to improve the design of gravity levelers for the qualitative formation of the bundle, which is an urgent task today. This article discusses the derivation of low-cost inertial navigation methods at stationary state in the navigation systems. To implement navigation algorithms, it needs to use an IMU (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes). Thus, higher accuracy results higher cost. The methods used in this article do not need complete IMU sensors to calculate Euler angles, which includes an accelerometer and a rate gyro. Subsequently navigator hardware cost will decrease. For this purpose, mathematical equations are derived with multi-direction solution method, which the desired angle is extracted at first, and then simulated as a hardware have done. specific values have been assumed for the Euler angles in the simulation process due to lack of access to field data, and the same angles are computed for two states (ideal and real sensors). Optimal allocation between different economic sectors requires a correct understanding of the efficiency of resources in each sector. When there is a scarcity of one or more resources that play a more vital role in the production of a sector, the optimal allocation of that scarce resource between different sectors is critical. In this study, different provinces of the country in terms of spatial dispersion and levels of development of horticultural indicators have been measured by different methods of factor analysis and cluster analysis as well as HDI method. Cluster analysis and HDI in geographical studies In this study, an attempt has been made to study the spatial distribution of horticultural indicators in 30 provinces of the country in terms of development. For this purpose, 22 normalized variables were studied. They selected 4 factors that contain 87% of the information of primary variables and then based on these four factors, different provinces of the country were classified into 5 homogeneous clusters and to measure its development by Horticultural development index method, agricultural development index. It has been used that the most developed province in terms of horticulture is Isfahan with HDI 0.37% and the most deprived provinces of Bushehr and Qom with HDI is 0.94%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For good functionality and increased efficiency, it is preferable that the soils to be irrigated with modern pivot and linear sprinkler equipment, be properly prepared by ensuring the uniformity of the ground for their proper movement and respectively to ensure a good drainage of these land surfaces. The paper presents some of the solutions and technological stages for leveling and systematizing the land, as well as the specific technological equipment used. The geometric preparation of the fields within a crop rotation that will benefit from mobile irrigation systems obviously requires investments that generate costs, but these costs are then reflected in the increase in land value, first of all, in the decrease of losses (by eliminating puddle areas and protecting irrigation facilities for unintended accidents due to a kneaded ground), secondly. Dedicated design programs, as well as the use of laser and GPS technology incorporated earthmoving machinery, eases the project implementation, ensure increased accuracy, shorten the development / execution time and help find optimal technical and financial solutions. The importance of preparing by remodeling of the surfaces where mobile watering equipment is to be used is revealed by their increased efficiency, both as a mode of operation and as time / costs.

The authors discuss a case that is full of examples of the problems faced by civil engineers whose task is to develop areas in the face of natural, technological, or post-mining hazards. The study area is in the central part of Inowrocław, a town located on a massive salt dome of Zechstein salts. A strong deformation zone expanded in its upper part; this was caused by a natural process (related to so-called salt karst) and by mining activities that occurred in the past, creating a problem with regard to any potential spatial development in the town. The authors show a combination of data obtained using gravimetric and geodetic methods, which helps us to assess the geohazard risk. These include remote sensing data, which can be used to evaluate displacements of the ground surface. The authors used an approach that they term the Elevation Difference Method. This consists of determining displacements between ground surfaces: estimated on the basis of remote sensing data and on the basis of the historical data, when mounted measurement points (and remote sensing data) did not exist. The authors discuss the results in the light of the geological background. Within the area of the study, the displacements of the positive values dominate. The displacement occurs at 6 mm/yr on average and indicates diapiric uplift movement. The results are important for the town authorities for planning and development and for infrastructure management.

In this paper, I explore Kierkegaard’s views on envy as developed in A Literary Review, by confronting them with the capital vices tradition. I begin by developing a basic account of envy that serves as a point of reference throughout the paper. I then turn to the capital vices tradition, elaborating the concept of a capital vice, and discussing the views of Basil of Caesarea, Evagrius of Pontus, John Cassian, Gregory the Great, and Thomas Aquinas on envy’s viciousness. Subsequently, I discuss Kierkegaard’s treatment of envy in A Literary Review, exploring two of its key notions—‘the public’ and ‘leveling’—through a reading of L.P. Hartley’s novel Facial Justice (1960). In the final part of the paper, I show that the originality of Kierkegaard’s account of envy consists both in its character as a collective vice and its evaluative status as vicious yet valuable.

The Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion (SNWD) Project,known as one of the greatest hydraulic projects of China, undertakes most of domestic and industrial water use in the Beijing–Tianjin area, as well as a part of ecological water use. The whole canal should be monitored to ensure a continuous water supply for water-receiving areas. Compared with traditional ground-based monitoring tools limited by the low distribution density, intensive labor force, and huge cost, the satellite synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) with wide coverage, high-frequency revisiting, and low cost is more suitable for monitoring large-scale infrastructures. In this study, we employed the Sentinel-1 data to monitor the canal of the Middle Route of the SNWD Project within Henan Province. The deformation rates along the canal were obtained by using persistent scatterer InSAR, from which a total of 20 deformed canal sections and seven suspected deformed canal sections were identified. Among them, the Shahe aqueduct is overall stable except for the Shahe Beam Aqueduct and Lushanpo Landing Aqueduct. The Yuzhou-Changge canal passes through a subsidence funnel with a maximum deformation rate of about –20 mm/year. The InSAR-derived deformation coincides well with the in-situ leveling measurements over the Yuzhou-Changge canal. Their correlation is 0.95 and the root mean square error of their differences is 2.41 mm/year. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of satellite InSAR for monitoring large-scale hydraulic engineering. It can be combined with ground leveling to achieve overall investigations and detailed monitoring, largely improving the efficiency and cost of the current ground monitoring system.

This work, developed as a case study, propose, describe, and evaluates an implementation of a pull system in a SME company producing polymeric components for the automotive industry. The production system of the company was based on the push paradigm, which creates high stock levels and high lead times. The main purpose was to develop a pull production system controlled by Kanbans in the painting line. To achieve this goal, this case study demonstrates the application of relevant lean tools, such as, VSM, SMED, Kanban System, Supermarkets and Leveling. Through the SMED’s application, it was possible to reduce the setup times in 38% and make annual earnings of approximately 83000€. The application of a Kanban System, Leveling and Supermarket enabled the WIP’s reduction between injection and painting in 56% and, also, between painting and expedition in 45%. Also, the lead time decreased and the value-added time increased. Thus, this is an exemplary case study for the implementation of a pull system and can be used both by practitioners and researchers interested in this theme.

Alignment and leveling of teeth generally constitute the most important preliminary clinical phase of any orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances. Leveling is the process in which the incisal edges of the anterior teeth and the buccal cusps of the posterior teeth are placed on the same horizontal level; and alignment is the lining up of teeth of an arch in order to achieve normal contact point relationships. The aim of the present study is to compare duration of leveling, aligning of different types of crowding in patients presented with lower anterior crowding. We reviewed 500 case sheets among which 60 case sheets were selected which included an equal number of patients with mild, moderate and severe crowding and duration for leveling and aligning were recorded and exported to excel sheets then the data is analysed statistically using SPSS software. From the results it is shown that the majority of the mild crowding cases were levelled and aligned within a span of 6 months followed by moderate crowding, 28% of the cases showed to attain desired results within 8 months and in case of severe crowding it ranged between 1-1.5 years. Surface subsidence caused by coal mining has become an important factor that affects and restricts the sustainable development of mining districts. It is necessary to use appropriate methods for effective subsidence monitoring. It is hard to monitor large gradient ground deformations with a high accuracy by using differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) technology. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry is limited in that it monitors the basin edge by subtracting two DEMs (digital elevation models). Therefore, in this paper we propose a combination of DInSAR and UAV photogrammetry to complement the two data advantages and to achieve a high-precision monitoring of mining subsidence areas. The subsidence of coal panel 81,403 in the Yangquan coal mine was obtained using DInSAR and UAV photogrammetry technologies. The appropriate fusion points were selected for the two datasets and the agreement between the fusion data and the leveling data was verified. The results indicated that the combination of DInSAR and UAV technology could monitor the settlement more accurately than the single use of DInSAR or UAV technology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
