Introduction: It is unknown characteristiccs sex, biological and psychosocial of women with menopausal a physiological, and consulting climacteric and menopause of the Hospital Central Military "Dr. Carlos. J. Finlay". It information is important for health promotion actions. Objective: In completing the characteristics sexual, biological and psychosocial more frequent in posmenopausal women. Methods: We performed a descriptive, cross - sectional in 300 women posmenopausal, menopausal physiological confirmed. Collected the age (grouped 40-44, 45-49 and over 49), the time of menopause (grouped in less than 3 years, 3-5 years, 6-10 years and over 10 years), presence of genitourinary affections, physical, psychosocial and sexual symptoms. Results: Women older than 49 years (56 %) predominated with 33.4 % of 3 to 5 years of menopause, 6.7 % of genitourinary atrophy, symptoms of hot flashes 75 %, bone pain, 70 %, depression-anxiety and vaginal dryness, 50 %; 45 % of sexual dissatisfaction and difficulty in making decisions, 40% with difficulties in communicating with the partner and selflessness, 38.6 % had decreased sexual desire, while 16% increased their appetite sexual. Conclusions: as women climacteric studied were older than 49 years old, with menopause between 3 and 5 years, with a low percentage of genitourinary atrophy, with hot flashes, bone pain, vaginal dryness, depression, anxiety, difficulty in communication with a partner and decreased sexual desire.

Introduction: The characteristics of cervicovaginal infections diagnosed by vaginal exudate are unknown, especially in middle-aged Cuban women. At other stages of the female life cycle, these studies have been done. Due to the importance of this information, to carry out health promotion actions, this research was carried out. Objective: To determine the characteristics of the most frequent cervicovaginal infections diagnosed by vaginal exudate. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 1118 women. Age (grouped into 20-44 years and 45 and over), the results of positive vaginal discharge, the perception of presence or not of vaginal discharge (asymptomatic) and the microorganisms identified in the discharge were collected. Results: 49.9% of vaginal exudates were positive for bacterial vaginosis, Candidas albicans, Trichomonas vaginalis and imbalance in vaginal ecology. 45% of the patients had no vaginal discharge, that is, they were asymptomatic. Conclusion: Cervicovaginal infections were characterized by being of high frequency, usually asymptomatic, with prevalence of bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis and trichomoniasis.

Introduction: Within sexual disorders due to pain, dyspareunia and vaginismus are studied. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V encompasses them under the category of pelvic pain and penetration disorder. In Cuba, there are not many theoretical references of these diseases. Objective: Systematize and update the theoretical references related to dyspareunia and vaginismus, from a sexological approach Methods: A review of the literature published on the subject, of the last ten years, in full text, in the SciELO databases and from the search with academic Google with the keywords: sexual disorders due to pain, dyspareunia and vaginismus. Development: Dyspareunia and vaginismus have a multifactorial etiology and varying degrees of impairment of sexual enjoyment of couples. The essential aspects of both entities are presented, fundamentally the classification, etiology, clinical characterization, evaluation and treatment. Conclusions: Dyspareunia and vaginismus are two conditions that affect full and satisfactory sex life and require specialized knowledge, guidance and treatment for the results to be satisfactory.
