1. Likelihood Equilibria in the Ising Game

Abstract

A description of static equilibria in the noisy binary choice (Ising) game on complete and random graphs resulting from maximisation of the likelihood of system configurations is presented. An equivalence of such likelihood equilibria to the competitive Bayes-Nash quantal response expectation equilibria in the special case of consistent agents expectations is established. It is shown that the same likelihood equilibria are obtained by considering the system's partition function.

5. ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF APPROPRIATION OF INFORMATION-DIGITAL INTELLECTUAL PRODUCT IN THE CONDITIONS OF MODERN KNOWLEDGE INFORMATION REVOLUTION

Abstract

In the context of the dissemination of the knowledge information revolution, research on the peculiarities of the transfer of advanced technologies as a manifestation of their appropriation as intellectual property becomes relevant. The goal is to develop a mechanism for managing the transfer of advanced technologies and to identify the functions of their subjects, obstacles, and the content of their reproduction. The integration method is a synthesis of several approaches: a) dialecticalmaterialistic method is employed to reveal the driving role of contradictions in the evolution of the appropriation of information-digital intellectual products; b) modeling is used for logical generalization and concretization of the interaction among subjects involved in appropriating information-digital intellectual products; c) activity-praxiology approach is employed in analyzing the structure and overall outcomes of the operation of the machine-sized cognitive system as a component of human activity; d) system-synergistic method is utilized to establish objective development tendencies of public production through the formalization of the functioning of the production use of informationdigital intellectual products. The transformational characteristics of the appropriation of informationdigital intellectual product as one aspect of the transfer of advanced technologies have been identified. The functions of the subjects of appropriation of information-digital intellectual property have been specified according to the following economic roles: “creator-producer”, “producer-mediator”, and “mediator-consumer”. The theoretical concepts of the typology of stages of appropriation of information-digital intellectual product have been refined based on partial and general criteria. The essence of the disproportions in the reproduction of subjects of the transfer of advanced technologies (creators, producers, mediator-entrepreneurs) has been revealed. Relevant statistical data on the latency and actualization of the appropriation of information-digital intellectual product in a strategic perspective have been identified to reflect the content of barriers to its production use. The constant accumulation of disproportions in the reproduction of subjects of the transfer of advanced technologies is an obstacle to the development of social production. The prospects of eliminating this obstacle in the direction of externalizing the appropriation of information-digital intellectual product in its production use and self-value enhancement have been formalized in a system of equations. As limitations of such a system of equations, a set of functions and alternatives for the production use of information-digital intellectual product according to the economic roles of its subjects are indicated.

7. Transition between metastable equilibria: applications to binary-choice games

Abstract

Transitions between metastable equilibria in the low-temperature phase of dynamical Ising game with activity spillover are studied in the infinite time limit. It is shown that exponential enhancement due to activity spillover, which takes place in finite-time transitions, is absent in the infinite time limit. In order to demonstrate that, the analytical description for infinite time trajectory is developed. An analytical approach to estimate the probability of transition between metastable equilibria in the infinite time limit is introduced and its results are compared with those of kinetic Monte Carlo simulation. Our study sheds light on the dynamics of the Ising game and has implications for the understanding of transitions between metastable states in complex systems., Comment: 15 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

Static and dynamic equilibria in noisy binary choice (Ising) games on complete and random graphs in the annealed approximation are analysed. Two versions, an Ising game with interaction term defined in accordance with the Ising model in statistical physics and a reduced Ising game with a customary definition of interaction term in game theory on graphs, are considered. A detailed analysis of hysteresis phenomenon shaping the pattern of static equilibria based on consideration of elasticity with respect to external influence is conducted. Fokker-Planck equations describing dynamic versions of the games under consideration are written and their asymptotic stationary solutions derived. It is shown that domains of parameters corresponding to the maxima of these probability distributions are identical with the corresponding hysteresis ranges for static equilibria. Same result holds for domains defining local stability of solutions of the evolution equations for the moments. In all the cases considered it is shown that the results for the reduced Ising game coincide with those obtained for the Ising game on complete graphs. It is shown that for s special case of logistic noise the results obtained for static equilibria for the Ising game reproduce those in the Ising model on graphs in statistical physics., Comment: arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1912.09584

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to propose a methodology for evaluation and ranking of risky investment projects.An investment certainty equivalence approach dual to the conventional separation of riskless and risky contributions based on cash flow certainty equivalence is introduced. Proposed ranking of investment projects is based on gauging them with the Omega measure, which is defined as the ratio of chances to obtain profit/return greater than some critical (minimal acceptable) profitability over the chances to obtain the profit/return less than the critical one.Detailed consideration of alternative riskless investment is presented. Various performance measures characterizing investment projects with a special focus on the role of reinvestment are discussed. Relation between the proposed methodology and the conventional approach based on utilization of risk-adjusted discount rate (RADR) is discussed. Findings are supported with an illustrative example.The methodology proposed can be used to rank projects of different nature, scale and lifespan. In contrast to the conventional RADR approach for investment project evaluation, in the proposed method a risk profile of a specific project is explicitly analyzed in terms of appropriate performance measure distribution. No ad-hoc assumption about suitable risk-premium is made.

Effects of dynamical activity spillover in a noisy binary choice game (Ising game) on a complete graph are studied. Binary choice games are very important for both economics and statistical physics playing a role of the bridge between these two fields. In this paper we investigate the effects of self-excited activity induced by activity spillover on relaxation to equilibria and transitions between metastable equilibria at finite times. Abstract

Static and dynamic equilibria in noisy binary choice games on graphs are considered. Equations defining static quantal response equilibria (QRE) for binary choice games on graphs with arbitrary topology and noise distribution are written. It is shown that in the special cases of complete graph and arbitrary noise distribution, and circular and star topology and logistic noise distribution the resulting equations can be cast in the form coinciding with that derived in the earlier literature. Explicit equations QRE for non-directed graphs in the annealed approximation are derived. It is shown that the resulting effect on the phase transition is the same as found in the literature on phase transition in the Ising model on graphs in the same approximation.Evolutionary noisy binary choice game having the earlier described QRE as its stationary equilibria in the mean field approximation is constructed using the formalism of master equation., Comment: 15 pages and no figures

Abstract

A femtosecond laser focused inside bulk GaN was used to slice a thin GaN film with an epitaxial device structure from a bulk GaN substrate. The demonstrated laser slicing lift-off process did not require any special release layers in the epitaxial structure. GaN film with a thickness of 5 $\mu$m and an InGaN LED epitaxial device structure was lifted off a GaN substrate and transferred onto a copper substrate. The electroluminescence of the LED chip after the laser slicing lift-off was demonstrated.

Abstract

A free-standing bulk gallium nitride layer with a thickness of 365 $\mu$m and a diameter of 50 mm was obtained by hydride vapor phase epitaxy on a sapphire substrate with a carbon buffer layer. The carbon buffer layer was deposited by thermal decomposition of methane $\textit{in situ}$ in the same process with the growth of a bulk GaN layer. The bulk GaN layer grown on the carbon buffer layer self-separated from the sapphire substrate during the cooling after the growth. The dislocation density was $8\cdot10^{6}$ cm$^{-2}$. The (0002) X-Ray rocking curve full width at half maximum was 164 arcsec.

Abstract

Cracking of thick GaN films on sapphire substrates during the cooling down after the growth was studied. The cracking was suppressed by increasing the film-to-substrate thickness ratio and by using an intermediate carbon buffer layer, that reduced the binding energy between the GaN film and the substrate. 34. ‘Gvardeets’: a new awnless brome (Bromorsis inermis) cultivar developed in Tyumen Province

Abstract

Background. Awnless brome (Bromopsis inermis (Leyss.) Holub) is a perennial herbaceous plant used as feed in animal husbandry, for phytomelioration, and as a component of grass mixtures to make a durable natural cover for landscaping. Studying the genetic diversity of this species and selecting the best accessions will help to develop new cultivars capable of productive longevity.Materials and methods. In 2017, a new cultivar of B. inermis called ‘Gvardeets’ was submitted to the State Variety Trials. It was developed using chemical mutagenesis followed by multiple selection from cv. ‘Sverdlovsky 38’ at the Research Institute of Agriculture for the Northern Trans-Ural Region, a branch of Tyumen Scientific Center. During the growing seasons of 2012–2020, the cultivar was compared in the field according to the main productivity indicators with the reference cvs. ‘Langepas’ and ‘Sverdlovsky 38’. Observations were performed according to the guidelines for the study of fodder crops.Results and conclusions. The new cultivar ‘Gvardeets’ is mid-season: it takes 50–60 days for its plants to develop from spring regrowth to the beginning of mowing and 95–110 days to harvesting. The plants are erect, 115–145 cm high; foliage content is 38–50%. Protein content in dry matter is 7.0–12.0%; fiber content, 28.2–34.0%. It has a good yield: the harvest of green mass for 9 years averaged 22.8 t/ha; hay, 7.7 t/ha; seeds, 0.19 t/ha, which is higher the original cv. ‘Sverdlovsky 38’ (♀) by 13, 12 and 16% and the productive cv. ‘Langepas’ by 6, 7 and 5%, respectively. It is winter-hardy, resistant to lodging, technology-friendly, and well adaptable to adverse environmental conditions, which ensures its high value for practical use. It was designed for hayfields and pastures. According to the results of the State Variety Trials, in 2021 it was commercialized for the Volga-Vyatka (4), West Siberian (10), and East Siberian (11) regions of Russia.

35. Hydraulic cylinder rod part surface quality improvement on the local thermal effect basis

Abstract

In modern mechanical engineering, one of the urgent tasks is to improve the quality of manufacturing of surfaces of contact pairs of hydraulic cylinders. This task is connected, first of all, with the grinding operation, which leads to the formation of burns, microcracks, and scarring. The presence of defects on the surface leads to the formation of a poor-quality protective chrome layer. Destruction of the protective layer during operation breaks the sealing ability of the sealing rings. For this reason, abrasive microparticles enter the contact zone, forming adhesive wear on the surfaces. To increase the performance characteristics of hydraulic cylinders, it is necessary to comply with the quality requirements in the technological process. So, for the part “rod” surface roughness should be Ra = 0.63 μm. It is possible to achieve a given surface quality by replacing the grinding operation with mechanical processing with local thermal influence.

Abstract

This letter is based on a kinetic theory approach to anisotropic hydrodynamics. We derive the sound wave equation in anisotropic hydrodynamics and show that a corresponding wave front is ellipsoidal. The phenomenon of Mach cone emission in anisotropic hydrodynamics is studied. It is shown that Mach cone in anisotropic case becomes asymmetric, i. e. in this limit they're two different angles, left and right with respect to the ultrasonic particle direction, which are determined by the direction of ultrasonic particle propagation and the asymmetry coefficient., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

We found the deviation of the equation of state from ultrarelativistic one due to quantum corrections for a nonequilibrium longitudinally expanding scalar field. Relaxation of highly excited quantum field is usually described in terms of Classical Statistical Approximation (CSA). However, the expansion of the system reduces the applicability of such a semiclassical approach as the CSA making quantum corrections important. We calculate the evolution of the trace of the energy-momentum tensor within the Keldysh-Schwinger framework for static and longitudinal expanding geometries. We provide analytical and numerical arguments for the appearance of the nontrivial intermediate regime where quantum corrections are significant.

Abstract

Evolution of highly excited quantum field is considered in the framework of Keldysh formalism . It is demonstrated that leading order (LO) term of semiclassical approximation appears as well-known Classical Statistical Approximation (CSA). In simple case of spatially homogeneous scalar field analytical expressions for leading and next-to-leading (NLO) order are presented. Abstract

Gd3+ and Sm3+ co-activation, the effect of cation substitutions and the creation of cation vacancies in the scheelite-type framework are investigated as factors influencing luminescence properties. AgxGd((2−x)/3)−0.3−ySmyEu3+0.3☐(1−2x)/3WO4 (x = 0.50, 0.286, 0.20; y = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.3) scheelite-type phases (AxGSyE) have been synthesized by a solid-state method. A powder X-ray diffraction study of AxGSyE (x = 0.286, 0.2; y = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03) shows that the crystal structures have an incommensurately modulated character similar to other cation-deficient scheelite-related phases. Luminescence properties have been evaluated under near-ultraviolet (n–UV) light. The photoluminescence excitation spectra of AxGSyE demonstrate the strongest absorption at 395 nm, which matches well with commercially available UV-emitting GaN-based LED chips. Gd3+ and Sm3+ co-activation leads to a notable decreasing intensity of the charge transfer band in comparison with Gd3+ single-doped phases. The main absorption is the 7F0 → 5L6 transition of Eu3+ at 395 nm and the 6H5/2 → 4F7/2 transition of Sm3+ at 405 nm. The photoluminescence emission spectra of all the samples indicate intense red emission due to the 5D0 → 7F2 transition of Eu3+. The intensity of the 5D0 → 7F2 emission increases from ~2 times (x = 0.2, y = 0.01 and x = 0.286, y = 0.02) to ~4 times (x = 0.5, y = 0.01) in the Gd3+ and Sm3+ co-doped samples. The integral emission intensity of Ag0.20Gd0.29Sm0.01Eu0.30WO4 in the red visible spectral range (the 5D0 → 7F2 transition) is higher by ~20% than that of the commercially used red phosphor of Gd2O2S:Eu3+. A thermal quenching study of the luminescence of the Eu3+ emission reveals the influence of the structure of compounds and the Sm3+ concentration on the temperature dependence and behavior of the synthesized crystals. Ag0.286Gd0.252Sm0.02Eu0.30WO4 and Ag0.20Gd0.29Sm0.01Eu0.30WO4, with the incommensurately modulated (3 + 1)D monoclinic structure, are very attractive as near-UV converting phosphors applied as red-emitting phosphors for LEDs.
