We have reconstructed the feeding patterns, weaning age, dietary structure, and physiological stress experienced by the late Yangshao culture (3500–2800 BCE) of the Middle Yellow River in different individuals early years through comparative carbon and nitrogen stable isotope analyses of dentin incremental sections, limb bones, or rib assemblages. We present dentin incremental and bone collagen δ13C and δ15N isotope data from 17 individuals from two late Yangshao culture archeological sites (Qingtai 青台 and Shuanghuaishu 双槐树). The result showed that all individuals in the sample weaned between 2.5 and 3.8 years old, and other than the fact that females weaned slightly sooner than males in the Qingtai sites, there were no sex variations in dietary trends across life history stages. The majority of individuals consistently consumed C4 foods (millets) from early childhood onward. A small number of individuals consumed both C3 and C4 foods at an early age, and the proportion of C3 foods (rice) consumed declined or gradually disappeared with increasing age. In addition to the traditional local foods based on millets, a small number of individual families added rice, a newly accessible resource, in varying proportions for young children's foods, which has directly contributed to the dichotomy within this research group in terms of dietary patterns and child‐rearing concepts. The emergence of early childhood nurturing strategies in this study serves as a significant microcosm of the social context in which individual families, private ownership, and civilization progressively took shape in early China. The loss of infrared dim-small target features in the network sampling process is a major factor affecting its detection accuracy. In order to reduce this loss, this paper proposes YOLO-FR, a YOLOv5 infrared dim-small target detection model, based on feature reassembly sampling, which refers to scaling the feature map size without increasing or decreasing the current amount of feature information. In this algorithm, an STD Block is designed to reduce the loss of features during down-sampling by saving spatial information to the channel dimension, and the CARAFE operator, which increases the feature map size without changing the feature mapping mean, is adopted to ensure that features are not distorted by relational scaling. In addition, in order to make full use of the detailed features extracted by the backbone network, the neck network is improved in this study so that the feature extracted after one down-sampling of the backbone network is fused with the top-level semantic information by the neck network to obtain the target detection head with a small receptive field. The experimental results show that the YOLO-FR model proposed in this paper achieved 97.4% on mAP50, which is a 7.4% improvement compared to the original network, and it also outperformed J-MSF and YOLO-SASE. Piezoresistive effect is crucial in a pressure sensor design. Therefore, a theoretical model that can accurately predict the gauge factor (GF) of graphene pressure sensors should be designed. In this study, the function relationship between the relative change in resistance and the strain was established using the Fermi velocity as the intermediate variable. A theoretical model that can be used for various substrates was established after considering the anisotropic properties of graphene and the principle of action of pressure sensors. Tests on the graphene pressure sensor device fabricated using semiconductor technology revealed that the GF [GF = (ΔR/R)/ε] of the device was 1.14, which was within the theoretical prediction range (1.06–2.08). Furthermore, the reported Poisson's ratio values of various substrates were substituted into the calculation formula of the GF. The results revealed that the predicted value was highly consistent with the experimental test results. This result indicated that the theoretical model suitable for predicting the GF of graphene pressure sensors with various substrates is universal. It exists an unchanging requirement in modern society to achieve an ideal fuel economy using light acoustic packaging with good sound absorption performance. The Polyurethane (PU) foam with excellent damping properties usually has the characteristics of low mass and low density. Therefore, it is often considered as an ideal sound‐absorbing packaging material. With the further research on the PU foam, we have learned that the inherent microstructure of the PU foam has a special effect on its sound absorption performance. In this paper, the authors theoretically demonstrate the effect of cell size, connectivity and relative pore diameter on sound absorption performance by numerical simulation analysis. From the numerical simulation analysis, the results show that the three cellular structure factors have different effects on the parameters of the Johnson‐Champoux‐Allard (JCA) acoustic model, and all of them can improve the sound absorption coefficient of PU foam. Additionally, the further analysis indicates that the relative pore diameter is the most vital factor to improve the sound absorption performance in the entire frequency domain. Rabies virus (RABV) is a widespread pathogen that causes fatal disease in humans and animals. It has been suggested that multiple host factors are involved in RABV host entry. Here, we showed that RABV uses integrin β1 (ITGB1) for cellular entry. RABV infection was drastically decreased after ITGB1 short interfering RNA knockdown and moderately increased after ITGB1 overexpression in cells. ITGB1 directly interacts with RABV glycoprotein. Upon infection, ITGB1 is internalized into cells and transported to late endosomes together with RABV. The infectivity of celladapted RABV in cells and street RABV in mice was neutralized by ITGB1 ectodomain soluble protein. The role of ITGB1 in RABV infection depends on interaction with fibronectin in cells and mice. We found that Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) peptide and antibody to ITGB1 significantly blocked RABV infection in cells in vitro and street RABV infection in mice via intramuscular inoculation but not the intracerebral route. ITGB1 also interacts with nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which is the proposed receptor for peripheral RABV infection. Light-diffusing materials (LDMs) are essential for diffusing indoor light-emitting diode (LED) illumination to soft light. The size and refractive index of the light-diffusing agent are the two main parameters that influence the light-diffusing properties of LDMs. Modulation of silicone microspheres' refractive index and their influence on the light-diffusing properties of LDMs were systematically explored. An environmentally friendly, dispersant-free polymerization method carried out in an aqueous solution was developed for the preparation of silicone microspheres with different refractive indices. The prepared microspheres and LDMs were characterized by scanning electron microcopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Results showed that the refractive index of the prepared microspheres can be regulated by adjusting the copolymerization composition. Prepared silicone microspheres could be uniformly dispersed in a polycarbonate (PC) matrix, and the refractive index had a marked influence on the light-diffusing properties of the resulting LDMs. The silicone microspheres and LDMs both exhibited excellent thermal stabilities. Efficient access to evodiamine and its analogues is presented via Lewis acid catalysis. In this reaction, three chemical bonds and two heterocyclic-fused rings are constructed in one step. The reaction shows good functional group tolerance and atom economy, and various heteroatom-containing evodiamine analogues are obtained in moderate to excellent yields even on a gram scale. Three types of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were considered in order to investigate the effect of molecular composition and configuration on the formation of conjugated structures during stabilization and the conversion of that to pseudo-graphite sheets after carbonization. The stabilization process was performed in an inert or oxidative atmosphere with a temperature ramp from 180°Cto 280°C. The thermal behavior was studied by differential scanning calorimetry, and the change of chemical groups and conjugated structures was detected by in situ measurement of infrared (Fourier transform infrared) and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, respectively. The carbonization process of the stabilized samples was performed using a thermogravimetric analyzer under nitrogen atmosphere in the temperature range of 150°C–1200°C, and Raman spectra were applied to study the pseudo-graphite sheets of the residuals. It is suggested that the introduction of comonomer or the improvement of the isotactic regularity of the polymer chain are helpful to promote the stabilization reactions and accelerate the formation of conjugated structures rather than the extent of conjugation during stabilization in nitrogen. Moreover, they are also beneficial to obtain higher degree of graphitization and larger size of the pseudo-graphite sheets with less structural defects after carbonization. While stabilization is performed in air, atactic PAN copolymer has the highest extent of stabilization among these three PAN samples, but they are extremely close. PAN samples with comonomer or higher isotacticity still show a little advantage in the formation speed of the conjugated structures. After carbonization, PAN with higher isotacticity has the highest carbon yield and graphitization degree and the largest size of pseudo-graphite sheets with least structural defects. In addition, the presence of oxygen during stabilization is contributory to increase the extent of stabilization and generate some bigger conjugated structures, which leads to obtain higher graphitization degree and larger size of pseudo-graphite sheets, but it also brings more structural defects. The polyacrylonitrile/reduced graphene oxide (PAN/r-GO) composite was fabricated through dispersion of GO in PAN/DMSO solution, evaporation of DMSO to form PAN/GO film, and chemical reduction of the film by l -ascorbic acid ( l -AA) aqueous. The optical and SEM images showed that the r-GO was monodisperse in the film. The UV–vis and FTIR spectrum of PAN/GO and PAN/r-GO confirmed the reduction of GO and the stability of PAN in l -AA aqueous. During the thermal stabilization of PAN/r-GO, r-GO restrained the cyclization and dehydrogenation reaction of PAN, but facilitated the formation of large conjugated structure. The r-GO plane also acted as a template for the growth of pseudo-graphite sheet, which is contributory to form large size pseudo-graphite microcrystal containing relatively less defects during carbonization. We report here a homo‐Mannich reaction of cyclopropanol with an iminium ion, generated by an asymmetric allylic dearomatization of indole, to construct a tricyclic hydrocarbazole core, which is shared by a variety of monoterpenoid indole alkaloids across families. Through this approach, an all‐carbon quaternary stereogenic center as well as an allyl and a ketone group were installed. Using this functionalized hydrocarbazole as the structural platform, D ring and E rings of different sizes (i.e. five‐, six‐, and seven‐membered) were successively or simultaneously assembled, leading to a collective asymmetric synthesis of seven alkaloids belonging to the ibophyllidine, Aspidosperma, Kopsia, and Melodinus alkaloid families. Rabies virus (RABV) is a prototypical neurotropic virus that causes rabies in human and animals with an almost 100% mortality rate. Once RABV enters the central nervous system, no treatment is proven to prevent death. RABV glycoprotein (G) interacts with cell surface receptors and then enters cells via clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME); however, the key host factors involved remain largely unknown. Here, we identified transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1), a classic receptor that undergoes CME, as an entry factor for RABV. TfR1 interacts with RABV G and is involved in the endocytosis of RABV. An antibody against TfR1 or the TfR1 ectodomain soluble protein significantly blocked RABV infection in HEK293 cells, N2a cells, and mouse primary neuronal cells. We further found that the endocytosis of TfR1 is coupled with the endocytosis of RABV and that TfR1 and RABV are transported to early and late endosomes. Our results suggest that RABV hijacks the transport pathway of TfR1 for entry, thereby deepening our understanding of the entry mechanism of RABV. IMPORTANCE For most viruses, cell entry involves engagement with many distinct plasma membrane components, each of which is essential. After binding to its specific receptor(s), rabies virus (RABV) enters host cells through the process of clathrinmediated endocytosis. Identification of bona fide functional receptors and elucidation of the mechanism of receptor-mediated virus entry are important to reveal targets for developing therapeutics against rabies virus (RABV) and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Our previous studies suggest that metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 2 (mGluR2) functions as an entry receptor for RABV in vitro, and is an important internalization factor for SARS-CoV-2 in vitro and in vivo. Here, we demonstrate that mGluR2 facilitates RABV internalization in vitro and infection in vivo. We found that transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) interacts with mGluR2 and internalizes with mGluR2 and RABV in the same clathrin-coated pit. Knockdown of TfR1 blocks agonist-triggered internalization of mGluR2. Importantly, TfR1 also interacts with the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and is important for SARS-CoV-2 internalization. Our findings identify a novel axis (mGluR2-TfR1 axis) used by RABV and SARSCoV-2 for entry, and reveal TfR1 as a potential target for therapeutics against RABV and SARS-CoV-2. This paper presents a coded aperture method to remotely estimate the radioactivity of a source. The activity is estimated from the detected counts and the estimated source location, which is extracted by factoring the effect of aperture magnification. A 6 mm thick tungsten–copper alloy coded aperture mask is used to modulate the incoming gamma-rays. The location of point and line sources in all three dimensions was estimated with an accuracy of less than 10% when the source-camera distance was about 4 m. To improve the detection ability of infrared small targets in complex backgrounds, an improved detection algorithm YOLO-SASE is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is based on the YOLO detection framework and SRGAN network, taking super-resolution reconstructed images as input, combined with the SASE module, SPP module, and multi-level receptive field structure while adjusting the number of detection output layers through exploring feature weight to improve feature utilization efficiency. Compared with the original model, the accuracy and recall rate of the algorithm proposed in this paper were improved by 2% and 3%, respectively, in the experiment, and the stability of the results was significantly improved in the training process. Rabies virus (RABV) matrix protein (M) plays crucial roles in viral transcription, replication, assembly, and budding; however, its function during the early stage of virus replication remains unknown. Here, we mapped the protein interactome between RABV M and human host factors using a proteomic approach, finding a link to the V-type proton ATPase catalytic subunit A (ATP6V1A), which is located in the endosomes where RABV first enters. By downregulating or upregulating ATP6V1A expression in HEK293T cells, we found that ATP6V1A facilitated RABV replication. We further found that ATP6V1A was involved in the dissociation of incoming viral M proteins during viral uncoating. Coimmunoprecipitation demonstrated that M interacted with the full length or middle domain of ATP6V1A, which was dependent on the lysine residue at position 256 and the glutamic acid residue at position 279. RABV growth and uncoating in ATP6V1A-depleted cells was restored by trans-complementation with the full length or interaction domain of ATP6V1A. Moreover, stably overexpressed ATP6V1A enhanced RABV growth in Vero cells, which are used for the production of rabies vaccine. Intracellular calcium is related to cardiac hypertrophy. The Ca V 1.2 channel and Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) and CaM regulate the intracellular calcium content. However, the differences in CaMKII and CaM in cardiac hypertrophy are still conflicting and are worthy of studying as drug targets. Therefore, in this study, we aim to investigate the roles and mechanism of CaM and CaMKII on Ca V 1.2 in pathological myocardial hypertrophy. The results showed that ISO stimulation caused SD rat heart and cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. In vivo , the HW/BW, LVW/BW, cross-sectional area, fibrosis ratio and ANP expression were all increased. There were no differences in Ca V 1.2 channel expression in the in vivo model or the in vitro model, but the ISO stimulation induced channel activity, and the [Ca2+ i increased. The protein expression levels of CaMKII and p-CaMKII were all increased in the ISO group, but the CaM expression level decreased. AIP inhibited ANP, CaMKII and p-CaMKII expression, and ISO-induced [Ca2+ i increased. AIP also reduced HDAC4, p-HDAC and MEF2C expression. However, CMZ did not play a cardiac hypertrophy reversal role in vitro. Flexible fiber-based supercapacitors applied in portable energy storage devices and wearable electronics have recently aroused widespread research interests. However, challenges still exist in the pursuit of facile fabrication technique for simultaneously realizing high capacitive performance and excellent mechanical stability. Here, two novel types of core-sheathed hybrid electrodes with carbon nanotube fiber (CNF) as the core and three-dimensional (3D) porous carbon nanotubes/polypyrrole (CNTs/PPy) or reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as the sheath were hierarchically constructed through one-pot electrochemical deposition. An all-solid-state asymmetric fiber-shaped supercapacitor was assembled by wrapping the gel electrolyte coated negative CNF/rGO electrode along the positive CNF/CNTs/PPy electrode. Thanks to the combination of abundant 3D pore structure and synergistic effect of different components in the fiber electrodes, the resulted supercapacitors exhibited a broadened potential window of 1.6 V, a high areal specific capacitance of 58.82 mF cm−2 and a high areal energy density of 20.91 μW h cm−2. It should be noted that 98.6% of the initial capacitance of the supercapacitor device can still be maintained after experiencing 200 reciprocating bending cycles, demonstrating outstanding mechanical stability. Moreover, the supercapacitor exhibited excellent cyclic performance, which was testified by 90% capacity retention after 10000 times of galvanostatic charge-discharge process. After an explosion occurs in a tunnel, the blast waves take on diverse forms of attenuation in different regions when it propagates along the tunnel. However, the prediction of the overpressure decay laws proposed in previous studies has not taken into account the influence of the different regions in the tunnel. The present paper uses the example of the Micangshan highway tunnel in China and considers many factors that influence the propagation of the blast waves by dividing the tunnel into four zones. The paper modifies the decay equation proposed by Smith and applies it to the Micangshan highway tunnel in China. The decay equations are different in different zones. Field tests in this tunnel show that the modified equation is more suitable to describe the attenuation of the blast waves in the tunnel than the original equation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
