Abstract

Newly introduced vehicles come with various added functions, each time utilizing data from different sensors. One prominent related function is autonomous driving, which is performed in cooperation with multiple sensors. These sensors mainly include image sensors, depth sensors, and infrared detection technology for nighttime use, and they mostly generate data based on image processing methods. In this paper, we propose a model that utilizes a parallel transformer design to gradually reduce the size of input data in a manner similar to a stairway, allowing for the effective use of such data and efficient learning. In contrast to the conventional DETR, this model demonstrates its capability to be trained effectively with smaller datasets and achieves rapid convergence. When it comes to classification, it notably diminishes computational demands, scaling down by approximately 6.75 times in comparison to ViT-Base, all the while maintaining an accuracy margin of within ±3%. Additionally, even in cases where sensor positions may exhibit slight misalignment due to variations in data input for object detection, it manages to yield consistent results, unfazed by the differences in the field of view taken into consideration. Abstract

Various home network middleware such as HAVi, LnCP, LonWorks, and UPnP have been designed. They coexist because one middleware cannot support diverse requests of services and devices. This circumstance creates an interoperability problem among devices based on various types of home network middleware. The Universal Middleware Bridge system is designed and implemented to solve this interoperability problem using a device conversion mechanism and a message translation mechanism among the middleware. These conversion mechanisms make it possible for devices to distinguish and control other devices connected to different middleware networks in the Universal Middleware Bridge system. Abstract

This, paper proposes the design of the software Universal Middleware Bridge (UMB) that can be used to solve seamless interoperability problems caused by the heterogeneity of several kinds of home network middleware. We verified that the proposed UMB dynamically maps physical devise in all different middleware domains into virtually abstracted devices in the UMB domain and enables all home devices overlaid on heterogeneous networks to be seen as virtually the same physical devices in the same middleware domain, as well as to detect and control each other. As a result, it is concluded that the proposed architecture provides commercial feasibility and cost benefic for the system implementations. Abstract

This paper presents ah EIA-709.1 protocol architecture that can alleviate the burden of data communications in the Neuron chip. The proposed protocol is implemented with partly hardware and partly software. The physical layer and the MAC layer of the EIA-709.1 protocol are implemented with hardware. The upper link layer of the EIA-709.1 protocol is implemented with software. We verified the commercial feasibility of the proposed system through the power line tests with the existing LonWorks network. As a result, it is concluded that the proposed architecture provides flexibility and cost benefit for the system implementations.

Abstract

Despite great advances in stimuli‐interactive displays, which can directly visualize pressure, temperature, and humidity, a single interactive display platform capable of quantitatively discriminating the dynamic variation of two stimuli has yet to be developed. Here, a tandem interactive sensing display demonstrates not only direct visualization of both pressure and temperature but also the quantitative de‐convolution of these two simultaneously varied stimuli. The tandem display consists of five polymer layers vertically stacked on a transparent substrate: a temperature‐responsive ionic polymer, field‐induced blue light‐emitting unit (1), conductive polymer electrode with a parallel gap, field‐induced orange‐light‐emitting unit (2), and topologically structured pressure‐responsive layer. Impedance change of the responsive layers upon dynamic temperature and pressure is monitored simultaneously, providing stimuli‐interactive electroluminescence of light‐emitting units (1) and (2), respectively, when an alternating current (AC) field is applied between two polymer electrodes. Dynamic and simultaneous variation of temperature, 30–80 °C, and pressure, 0.5–20 kPa, are conveniently mapped in 3D coordinates of light intensity (z‐axis) and color (x‐y plane), producing a 2D contour surface plot. This provides an efficient and quantitative de‐convolution of unknown combinations of temperature and pressure stimuli. Abstract

Flexible electronics that enable the visualization of thermal energy have significant potential for various applications, such as thermal diagnosis, sensing and imaging, and displays. Thermo‐adaptive flexible electronic devices based on thin 1D block copolymer (BCP) photonic crystal (PC) films with self‐assembled periodic nanostructures are presented. By employing a thermo‐responsive polymer/non‐volatile hygroscopic ionic liquid (IL) blend on a BCP film, full visible structural colors (SCs) are developed because of the temperature‐dependent expansion and contraction of one BCP domain via IL injection and release, respectively, as a function of temperature. Reversible SC control of the bi‐layered BCP/IL polymer blend film from room temperature to 80 °C facilitates the development of various thermo‐adaptive SC flexible electronic devices including pixel arrays of reflective‐mode displays and capacitive sensing display. A flexible diagnostic thermal patch is demonstrated with the bi‐layered BCP/IL polymer blend enabling the visualization of local heat sources from the human body to microelectronic circuits. Abstract

A Likert scale is an often used questionnaire format. It requests respondents to specify their level of agreement to each of a list of statements. A typical question using a five-point Likert scale might make a statement. The results shows vague values. We have five-point fuzzy membership function by fuzzy valued three-point for the question and fuzzy hypothesis test the membership function by 95% confidence interval.
