Abstract: We study stochastic process on foliated manifolds. First we introduce some operators, which we call foliated, and study their properties. With these objects, we define the natural processes on foliated spaces, such as foliated martingales and foliated Brownian motion. We study how they are related with the geometry of the foliation and use them to characterize, in a probabilistic way, when the foliation is harmonic or geodesic. Then, we introduce an stochastic calculus and define the Itô and Stratonovich integrals on foliations. We prove a conversion formula and a Itô formula in this context. Finally we focus our study on the foliated Brownian motion and the harmonic measures. We give a construction of the foliated Brownian motion based on stochastic differential equations and apply the formalism developed to give a new proof of the Lucy Garnett Theorem. We study properties of the harmonic measures and we characterize them in terms of solutions of a second order differential equations.

I.H.P., section B, 31 (1995)). Algumas obstruções geométricas e topológicas para decomposições também são consideradas Abstract: Let $M$ be a compact manifold equipped with a pair of complementary foliations, say horizontal and vertical. This thesis aims to study a decomposition of flows of diffeomorphisms in the low regularity context. Namely, we prove that given a general semimartingale $Z_t$ (which can have an infinity number of jumps in compact intervals) up to a stopping time $\tau$, a stochastic flow of local diffeomorphisms in $M$ driven by $Z_t$ can be decomposed into a process in the Lie group of diffeomorphisms which trajectories remain along the horizontal leaves composed with a process in the Lie group of diffeomorphisms which trajectories remain along the vertical leaves. SDEs of these processes are shown. The stochastic flows with jumps are generated by the classical Marcus equation (as in Kurtz, Pardoux and Protter, Annal. I.H.P., section B, 31 (1995)). We enlarge the scope of this geometric decomposition and consider flows driven by arbitrary semimartingales with jumps. We show that this decomposition also holds for solutions of Young differential equations exploring the geometry of Young integrals. In the jump context, our technique is based on our extension of the Itô-Ventzel-Kunita formula for stochastic flows, which may jump infinitely many times. In the Young integral context, we apply a Young Itô-Kunita formula for $\alpha$-H{\"o}lder paths proved by Castrequini and Catuogno (Chaos Solitons Fractals, 2022). Geometrical and other topological obstructions for the decomposition are also considered, e.g., sufficient conditions for the existence of global decomposition for all $t\geq 0$ Doutorado Matemática Doutor em Matemática CAPES 001

In a generalized version of ergodic optimization theory for sequences of functions, we develop new perspectives concerning the characterization of maximizing probabilities. For this purpose, we provide sufficient conditions that allow us to detach the support of these measures by means of generalizations of the maximizing locus and the Aubry set. Besides the fact that we improve known results in the ergodic optimization theory literature on these maximizing sets, we also suggest extensions to Atkinson¿s theorem and to the notion of sub-action for the context of sequences of functions. At the end, we study necessary and sufficient conditions which provide an extremal polytope norm and a new formulation for the finiteness property of the joint spectral radius Doutorado Matemática Doutor em Matemática CAPES CNPQ 140675/2014-0

Posteriormente estudamos recorrência destes fluxos em relação à topologia gerada por abertos H-saturados Abstract: This work approaches two problems concerning flows in foliated manifolds. The first part deals with the decomposition of a flow f(t,.) =h(t,v(t,.)) in a bifoliated differentiable manifold (M, H, V), where h(t,.) preserves the leaves of H and v(t,.) preserves V. In this part we study the way topological features, such as attainability and intersection of leaves, influence the decomposition. Finally, we present a complete description of decomposability in terms of the topology of the foliations by proving that when H is transversaly orientable f(t,.) is decomposable if and only if it preserves the transversal orientation. Afterwards we give a sufficient condition for the flow of an Stratonovich s.d.e to be decomposable. In the second part we provide an invariant measure on submanifolds of M that are transversal to H, and we use it to study recurrence Doutorado Matemática Doutor em Matemática CNPQ 142084/2012-3 CAPES

The purpose of this thesis is to study Hamiltonian integrable systems in coadjoint orbits and topics related to its applications. This work is essentially divided in two parts which can be briefly described as follows. In the first part we study the construction of Gelfand-Tsetlin integrable systems in coadjoint orbits of classical compact Lie groups. For Gelfand-Tsetlin integrable systems we provide a Lax matrix formulation which allows us to recover the system by means of spectral invariants associated to a suitable Lax matrix. Still in the context of Hamiltonian systems, we also provide a complete description of the functions which compose Gelfand-Tsetlin-Molev integrable systems for two low dimensional concrete examples. In the second part of this work we study the construction of Calabi-Yau metrics on canonical bundles of complex flag manifolds. By means of tools provided by the Lie algebra representation theory and the Calabi ansatz technique, we describe a huge family of non trivial examples of complete non compact Calabi-Yau manifolds. The main motivations to develop this work are the relationship between complex flag manifolds, toric manifolds, convexity theorems for moment maps and mirror symmetry. The connection between these two parts briefly described here is the background of special Lagrangian fibrations. The construction of examples of such fibrations are extremely important for understanding the duality between symplectic geometry and complex geometry proposed by mirror symmetry Doutorado Matemática Doutor em Matemática CNPQ 152103/2014-7 CAPES

This research investigates the various methods used to teach "Distance between Closed Curves" in High School, by the association between abstract mathematical concepts and the various objects which are taught at this school level. Hence, the introduction of basic topology concepts was proposed for the elementary and middle school grades. Distance between Closed Curves was the main focus was this study. The guiding question for this investigation was: how can we determine the distance between curves? For a didactic transposition, this project sought to promote a relationship between high school students' elementary mathematical knowledge and abstract notions of distance between curves on a plane. To further expand this analysis, other questions were asked to complement the first one. They were: what is distance?; and, how can students use the intuitive understanding of distance to place it between objects on a plane? Methodically, this study was based on bibliographic studies, on the elaboration of didactic sequences and on the use of technology to optimize and ensure students' successful learning of this subject even in elementary and middle school grades. The results show that there is a connection between plane algebraic curves, curve spacing, metric space, Haudorff distance, and distance between curves that may, if presented in an articulated manner, help students to associate the concept of distance between sets in metric space and the distance between closed plane curves. Therefore, although this research assumed the existence of ideal teaching conditions, such as accessibility to computer programs in the classroom, teaching these complex contents in High School is feasible, contributing to the development of diverse mathematical notions Mestrado Matemática em Rede Nacional - PROFMAT Mestre em Matemática CAPES

The Methods for obtaining roots of polynomial equations is a content that deserves more attention in school basic and higher levels. The manipulative mechanism, without proper algebraic and geometric treatment, makes artificial resolutions and no connections between the concepts that form the basic algebraic structure to the meaningful understanding of the resolution of polynomial roots and the applied context. Still on this methodological approach, the historical reasons, is absent due lack of their importance in rapid means which do not perpetuate the construction required for the conceptual connections. This project's goal is to make a study of polynomial equations solutions in one and two variables. We begin with a historical study of the development of closed formulas for determining degrees of polynomial roots 2, 3 and 4. Next, we will make considerations about the impossibility of closed formulas existence, depending only on the coefficients of the polynomial, determining the polynomials roots degree higher or equal to 5. We'll do this segment a more didactic treatment on the Galois's theorem and we will study location methods and polynomial roots count of arbitrary degree. Finally, we will dedicate to write a didactic sequence through small projects for teaching algebraic equations and polynomials using computing resources, great mathematical theorems and their historical problematizations Mestrado Matemática em Rede Nacional Mestre CAPES

Por fim, estipulamos algumas condições suficientes a fim de que uma folheação possa ser perturbada de modo a adquirir entropia positiva Abstract: Entropy plays an important role in the theory of Dynamical Systems by providing means to measure a given dynamics' complexity. In this work we define concepts of entropy applicable to pseudogroups and foliations, aiming to quantify the complexity of such systems. For foliations, a geometric characterisation of positive entropy is given by proving that the occurrence of positive entropy is equivalent to the existence of resilient leaves. Finally, we provide sufficient conditions under which a foliation can be perturbed in order to acquire positive entropy Mestrado Matemática Mestre em Matemática CNPQ 131555/2017-0

This work presents a study about Riemannian manifolds having a Bakry-Émery-Ricci tensor with bounds. We begin with the algebraic basics on a vector space and then we transport these concepts to manifolds. We study the Courant bracket on the direct sum of tangent and cotangent bundles of a manifold, which is essential to define the integrability of the generalized complex structures. We check that on every $6$ dimensional nilmanifolds there is a left invariant generalized complex structure, even though some of them do not admit complex or symplectic structure. Esta família dá uma direção para o estudo de estabilidade de folheações Abstract: In this work, we study the concept of stability for foliations. With this aim we use a non linear complex formed by maps and manifolds in Fréchet Tame category. We apply a variation of The Nash-Moser Inverse Function Theorem to non-linear complex obtaining a relation between the stability and the tame exactness of the linearized complex. Moreover, the linearized complex is identified with a piece of the complex de Rham of the foliation, i.e., we transformed the stability study into a analysis of tameness vanishing on the cohomology group of the foliation. Thus we describe a family of stable foliations, called infinitesimally stable foliations. In the beginning it provides some basic background to Riemannian geometry, for example, the definiton of conexion, curvature, parallel translation, the Bochner-Weitenböck identity and the Cartan's rolling map theorem. After that, it is to dedicate to development of some results on stochastic geometry as the geometric Itô formula, but to do that it is important to study the second order geometry.
