Objective: To analyze the follow-up of people affected by leprosy in health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out in Basic Health Units and the Leprosy Reference Service in Campina Grande-Paraíba - Brazil. Data collection between October 2021 and February 2022. The study population consisted of users undergoing treatment and being monitored for leprosy reactions. The data was analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis. Results: Three categories emerged: users' lack of knowledge about leprosy and its control, their feelings about the disease and treatment, and weakened leprosy control in Primary Health Care. Conclusion: We observed fragility in the follow-up of users affected by leprosy, related to the lack of medication and professionals, as well as the user's perception of the disease.

Objetivo: analisar o acompanhamento das pessoas afetadas pela hanseníase nos serviços de saúde durante a pandemia COVID-19. Método: estudo exploratório, descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvido em Unidades Básicas de Saúde e no Serviço de Referência de Hanseníase de Campina Grande-Paraíba - Brasil. Coleta de dados entre os meses de outubro de 2021 e fevereiro de 2022. A população do estudo foi composta por usuários em tratamento e em acompanhamento de reações hansênicas. Os dados foram analisados através da Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: emergiram três categorias, sendo o déficit de conhecimento dos usuários sobre a hanseníase e seu controle, os sentimentos desses frente a doença e ao tratamento, e o controle da hanseníase fragilizado na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Conclusão: observou-se fragilidade no acompanhamento dos usuários afetados pela hanseníase, relacionado a falta de medicação e de profissionais, assim como na própria percepção do usuário com relação à doença.

Objetivo: Analizar el seguimiento de las personas afectadas de lepra en los servicios sanitarios durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Material y método: estudio exploratorio, descriptivo, con abordaje cualitativo, realizado en Unidades Básicas de Salud y en el Servicio de Referencia en Lepra de Campina Grande-Paraíba - Brasil. Recogida de datos entre octubre de 2021 y febrero de 2022. La población del estudio estaba formada por usuarios que seguían un tratamiento y eran controlados para detectar reacciones leprosas. Los datos se analizaron mediante el análisis de contenido de Bardin. Resultados: surgieron tres categorías, a saber, la falta de conocimientos de los usuarios sobre la lepra y su control, sus sentimientos sobre la enfermedad y el tratamiento, y el debilitamiento del control de la lepra en la Atención Primaria de Salud. Conclusión: Observamos fragilidad en el seguimiento de los usuarios afectados por la lepra, relacionada con la falta de medicación y de profesionales, así como con la propia percepción de la enfermedad por parte del usuario.

The purpose of this study is to understand the factors which contribute to fans of a certain soccer club (as consumers and their respective behaviors) attending or not soccer matches in the state of São Paulo (Brazil). The survey follows a quantitative approach using questionnaires with the Motives for Attendance (MAS) and Motives for Non-attendance (MNAS) scales. The questionnaires were administered in loco in all stadium sectors during matches of the top state soccer league of São Paulo in 2020, and all the respondents signed a consent form. A total of 99 people answered the questionnaire. For the team’s loyal fans and those that follow it as a second team, supporting the team in the stadium and the thrills afforded by the matches are the main factors that drive attendance. For non-supporters, the reasons for attending matches are related with the socialization that occurs during the event. On another hand, the reasons that keep people away from stadiums relate to issues of comfort, infrastructure and ticket prices. In contrast to previous studies in the literature, this study shows the perspective of fans from a smaller soccer club.

This study aimed to evaluate the response of Toona ciliata seedlings to sublethal doses of glyphosate. The increasing use of glyphosate in agriculture concerns the scientific community, as the drift of this pollutant into aquatic systems or atmospheric currents can affect non-target species. Therefore, we need to understand how non-target species respond to small doses of this herbicide. T. ciliata seedlings (clone BV-1110) were exposed to sublethal doses of glyphosate (0, 9.6, 19.2, 38.4, 76.8 g ae ha−1). Anatomical, physiological, and photochemical analyses were performed 60 days after herbicide application, and growth assessments were carried out after 160 days of cultivation. We found that sublethal doses of glyphosate above 19.2 g ae ha−1 induced toxicity symptoms in Toona ciliata leaves. These symptoms were mild in some cases, such as chlorosis, but severe in other cases, such as tissue necrosis. We observed a positive relationship between increased plant height and photochemical yield with plant exposure to sub-doses 9.6 and 19.2 g ae ha−1. A sublethal dose of 38.4 g ae ha−1 improved the photosynthetic rate and carboxylation efficiency. Thus, we confirmed the hypothesis of a hormetic effect when T. ciliata was exposed to sub-doses of glyphosate equal to or lower than 38.4 g ae ha−1. However, the sublethal dose of 76.8 g ae ha−1 must be considered toxic, impacting photosynthetic activity and, consequently, the height of T. ciliata. The stem diameter of T. ciliata responded positively to increasing glyphosate doses. This occurs to compensate for the negative effect of glyphosate on water absorption. Further research will provide valuable information for harnessing the potential benefits of hormesis to improve the productivity of T. ciliata.

Abstract Aim: The purpose of this study was to conduct an integrative review aiming to critically analyze the concept of sport development and the different variables that influence this process. Methods: We restricted the search to scientific journals in the area of sports science that published studies related to the social sciences and are indexed in the Scientific Journal Rankings (SJR). In total, 23 scientific journals were analyzed and the final sample of this review consisted of 65 articles. Results: Our findings highlighted that sport development is immersed in specific social, political, and economic factors that influence the extent to which different stakeholders can implement strategies and provide resources to improve participation and performance in sports. In addition to the quantitative aspect, researchers indicate the need for specific strategies that also enable the participation of women, people with disabilities, and other groups that historically have faced constraints to participate in sports. Despite the interesting criteria used to evaluate the sport development, they should be used with caution because most studies were conducted in English-speaking countries reflecting a tendency to report features only of the Western culture. Conclusion: The different stakeholders, strategies, and resources found in this review reinforce that there is no single way to develop sports, as different possibilities may be used according to the characteristics of each context. It also indicates the need to move research to unexplored fields and socio-cultural contexts to increase the reach that sport-based programs may have.

Abstract Swine wastewater (sw) can boost seedling growth and development in several species as this residue is rich in nutrients required by plants. This study tested the hypothesis that seedlings of Guazuma ulmifolia grown in a substrate based on swine wastewater showed better physiological and morphological performance. The seedlings were cultivated in seven substrates: T1 - rice husk and vermiculite; T2 - 20% sw; T3 - 40% sw; T4 - 60% sw; T5 - 80% sw; T6 - 100% sw; and T7 - 100% Bioplant®. Were evaluated the height (H), diameter (D), number of leaves (NF), as well as the H to D ratio, chlorophyll indices, gas exchange, biomass, allometric ratios, Dickson Quality Index (DQI), and mortality percentage of the seedlings. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance, and the means were compared by Tukey’s test. The substrates with the highest percentage of swine sludge promoted the highest H, D, NF, chlorophyll indices, gas exchange, stem biomass and IQD. The highest mortality was obtained in commercial substrate (85%) and carbonized rice husk and vermiculite (37.5%). Can be concluded that the substrates with high swine wastewater content were better for seedling G. ulmifolia.

O presente artigo tem como tema a educação musical. Cujo objetivo é compreender como a família e a sociedade influenciam na escolha e no processo de aprendizagem do violino aos adolescentes das camadas populares de Erechim/RS. Fruto de uma pesquisa qualitativa, bibliográfica e exploratória, associada à pesquisa de campo, o estudo visa a identificação de interações sociais e suas influências no estudo do violino. O percurso metodológico conta com a pesquisa bibliográfica relacionada à educação musical e à educação popular, bem como entrevistas semiestruturadas, focadas na busca por subsídios necessários à resposta da problemática do artigo para identificar se as famílias e a sociedade são capazes de influenciar na escolha e no estudo do violino. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são estudantes de violino pertencentes às camadas populares e que compreendem a faixa etária entre 12 a 14 anos de idade, juntamente com seus pais e com o maestro do referido projeto. Os dados coletados nesta pesquisa foram analisados sistematicamente em categorias pré-definidas. Através desta pesquisa, concluímos que a família e a sociedade influenciam beneficamente no estudo musical dos adolescentes entrevistados.

Several factors are capable of influencing sports success, including the birthplace of athletes. The Brazilians swimming and marathon have been obtaining good results in the Olympic Games in the last years. Thus, from the delimitation of the population and socioeconomic characteristics of the swimmers' hometown, a more in-depth understanding of the profile of the municipality most likely to form successful swimmers becomes possible. Therefore, the objective of this article is to identify the population and socioeconomic profile of the birthplace of Brazilian Olympic swimmers, providing reflections on the development of high-performance Brazilian swimming. The methodology employed is characterized as quantitative-descriptive, using descriptive statistics for data analysis. From the collection of information about the profile of swimmers' hometowns, the results show that the majority come from municipalities located in the Southeast region of the country, with a population greater than 5,000,000 inhabitants, population density, MHDI, and GDP per-capita high. With these data, it is possible to make more assertive and coherent decisions on the part of sports organizations and managers, in addition to offering more sustainable sports policies and actions to promote swimming and marathon in the long term.

The success of a sports organization depends on several factors, one of them is the structuring of a strategic plan. The main objective of this study was to identify the existence and analyze the importance of strategic planning in Brazilian sports clubs that operate at the Olympic level. As a result, it was possible to verify that Brazilian clubs have plans and follow the recommendations in the literature with affinity and consistency. And this fact is an indication that strategic planning is the first step towards administrative or sports success. Other factors influence the way in which Brazilian sports clubs operate. However, it is essential that strategic planning comes to exist in Brazilian sport, for greater and better professionalism in organizational terms

O objetivo deste estudo de caso foi analisar as percepções de alunos(as) de um curso de Ciências do Esporte no Brasil quanto à importância atribuída e o domínio percebido sobre os conhecimentos e competências do(a) treinador(a) esportivo(a). Utilizamos o questionário de Quinaud et al. (2018), com 192 alunos(as) do primeiro ao quinto ano do curso. Fizemos o uso da estatística descritiva e, após constatarmos a distribuição não normal, recorremos ao teste Kruskal-Wallis para a comparação da importância atribuída e do domínio percebido dentro dos grupos. Nos casos com diferenças significativas utilizamos o teste U de Mann-Whitney, correção de Dun-Bonferroni (p≤0,05) e tamanho de efeito pelo Eta² parcial (Cohen, 1973). Não constatamos diferenças significativas acerca da importância atribuída aos conhecimentos e observamos diferenças em duas competências. Sobre o domínio percebido, constatamos diferenças significativas acerca de todos os conhecimentos e competências, principalmente entre alunos(as) dos primeiros anos comparados aos de 3º, 4º e 5º. Diferentes vivências ao longo do curso parecem auxiliar no desenvolvimento do domínio de conhecimentos e competências dos(as) alunos(as). Considerando que no Brasil há a obrigatoriedade do diploma de graduação para atuar como treinador(a), torna-se importante que os cursos de Educação Física e Esporte prezem pelo desenvolvimento de conhecimentos e competências específicos desta profissão.

RESUMO O objetivo do estudo foi analisar o projeto de judô Kimono de Ouro nos anos de 2011 a 2017, a partir de recursos fomentados pela Lei de Incentivo ao Esporte e da aplicação do modelo de políticas nacionais de esporte de rendimento. A metodologia de abordagem qualitativa e descritiva foi delineada pela análise documental e pelo modelo de Sports Policy Factors Leading to International Sporting Success. Na perspectiva do rendimento esportivo, os resultados revelaram que a Lei de Incentivo ao Esporte potencializou o desenvolvimento do projeto ao evidenciar correlações significativas com o Sports Policy Factors Leading to International Sporting Success. Conclui-se que a captação de recursos, a gestão financeira e a qualificação da equipe multiprofissional foram fundamentais para a evolução do desempenho esportivo.

O objetivo deste estudo consistiu em investigar as implicações causadas pela inclusão do karate aos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio 2021, no que se refere aos Fatores Críticos de Sucesso (FCS) e ao desenvolvimento do karate. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com atletas, ex-atletas, treinadores e gestores com experiência em eventos internacionais do esporte. Os dados obtidos foram analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo e estatística descritiva. Os resultados permitiram concluir que a inclusão do karate aos Jogos Olímpicos acarretou efeitos sobre os FCS e consequente desenvolvimento deste esporte de combate. O aporte de recursos financeiros para este esporte, a participação e a organização de competições nacionais e internacionais, suporte para atletas, dentre outros, são fatores de grande relevância neste contexto. No mais, espera-se que esta pesquisa proporcione conhecimento inicial destinado àqueles que possuem como interesse o melhor desenvolvimento do karate e principalmente a busca pelo sucesso esportivo internacional neste esporte, além de contribuir com outros estudos relacionados a modelos teóricos já existentes ou às especificidades do esporte / do contexto dos entrevistados.

Abstract Aim: The sports facilities development and use optimization has been one of the main objectives of sports organizations. To understand how the management is performed, the knowledge about the manager and his function is crucial and may aid to improve facilities management and impact service quality. This study aimed to analyze the functional profile of sport facilities managers and verify their managerial behavior. Methods: A survey was conducted, 76 managers of public and non-profit sports facilities of São Paulo answering a questionnaire regarding their personal data and tasks performed in five related areas (Economic-Administrative Management, Human Resources Management, Maintenance, Supply and Exploration, and Marketing and Promotion). The data was analyzed through an Exploratory Factorial Analysis using the principal component method. Results: The low participation of managers in tasks related to the Economic-Administrative Management area was identified. The manager's other areas of activity had their tasks divided into the following factors: Human Resources (Work organization; Communication and Training); Maintenance (Maintenance and monitoring; Expansion, Construction, and Renovation); Supply and Exploration (Activities Organization; Activity Planning for Groups; Assignment and organization of use); Marketing (Communication, supply and demand analysis; Operation and occupation analysis). Conclusion: There is no standard managerial behavior of sport facilities managers since their performance is not focused on the proactive or non-proactive characteristic of the task, but rather on the field that the organization and/or manager deems necessary to be planned and developed.

Abstract Considering that the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), organized by the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB), is the main national basketball competition in Brazil, the objectives of this work are to present the diagnoses on the participation of the teams and the competitive balance in those 10 years of the NBB. A total of 32 teams have been identified that have participated at least once in the competition. It was identified that none were from the North region, 02 (6%) from the Northeast region, 02 (6%) from the Midwest region, 06 (19%) from the South region and 22 (69%) from the Southeast region. 10 (31%) are traditional multi-sport club teams from the Brazilian context and the other 22 (69%) associations that managed only basketball teams. Of the 32 teams, 11 (34%) of them reached a semi-final, 08 (25%) to the final and only 04 (12.5%) were champions of the competition. 60% of the titles were won by traditional multisport clubs that compete for NBB. Despite the great value that the NBB and its organizer (LNB) have regarding the resumption of the development of Brazilian basketball, LNB / NBB could undertake more with regard to the competitive balance and stimulate better management and transparency of the teams that it proposes to participate in the competition.

O artigo pretende explorar e refletir sobre as formas com as quais foi produzida e realizada uma atividade numa disciplina de graduação do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, durante o primeiro semestre de 2017. Após a criação do material, requisito necessário para a disciplina Combinatória II, o mesmo foi utilizado em uma turma de Ensino Médio (EJA) numa escola pública, tornando-se elemento de reflexão sobre a formação inicial docente, no que tange à iniciativa e viabilidade de se propor no Ensino Básico o estudo de conteúdos rotulados do Ensino Superior, por meio da didática francesa da Transposição Didática. A atividade consistiu em unir a brincadeira de infância conhecida como “Cama de Gatos” com conceitos sobre a Teoria de Grafos, o qual produz o trocadilho que consta no título. A análise da atividade, a partir da produção dos estudantes participantes, permite inferir que a formação do professor de matemática deva ocorrer de modo contínuo e reflexivo, desde que o professor tenha a consciência de sua importância, enquanto mediador, no processo de construção de conhecimento pelos estudantes. A título de produto, os materiais produzidos estão disponibilizados para a consulta, análise, reaplicação e possíveis adaptações por parte da comunidade de professores e demais interessados na temática.

Diagramas podem ser utilizados para análise de problemas complexos, facilitando decisões. Como exemplo, citam-se os diagramas bioclimáticos, utilizados para definir diretrizes para projetos de edificações. Contudo, por serem baseados em modelos de conforto térmico estáticos, os diagramas bioclimáticos não são compatíveis com a ideia do conforto térmico adaptativo. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo apresentar diagramas de apoio ao processo de projeto de pequenas edificações de baixo consumo energético e adequados à ideia do conforto adaptativo. A partir de um modelo adaptativo de conforto e dos diagramas existentes, elaboraram-se dois diagramas e procedimentos para sua aplicação. Os diagramas foram aplicados às fases iniciais do processo de projeto de pequenas edificações no clima de Curitiba e os resultados foram comparados com os obtidos com o tradicional diagrama de Givoni. A comparação mostrou que as diferenças entre os modelos de conforto resultam em diretrizes diferentes. O método alternativo também permitiu analisar mais adequadamente a variável amplitude térmica diária e ordenar a aplicação das diretrizes projetuais.

RESUMO Este trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar uma investigação-ação de dois profissionais de educação física, treinadores de judô, que atuaram na 29ª Summer Universíade de Taipei em 2017. A investigação-ação pode ser definida como um conjunto de processos que envolvem ações e suas posteriores compreensões. As análises apontaram que os resultados esportivos podem ser atingidos com mais eficácia a partir de uma efetiva aplicação do conhecimento científico, seja em situações de diagnóstico dos atletas, logística do evento, ações pré-competitivas e ações durante o evento esportivo. Espera-se com este artigo que, pelo menos no judô, inicie-se um debate para promover o desenvolvimento de procedimentos profissionais para treinadores esportivos a partir de situações reflexivas e aplicadas.

Abstract Aims: This paper sought to evaluate the infrastructure of public swimming pools in a countryside municipality of the state of São Paulo and to present the Geographic Information System (GIS) as a tool capable of assisting in the management of sports facilities and programs. Methods: This is a descriptive study since it intends to expose the characteristics of a certain context. First, documentary research was performed to map the facilities and their respective projects. After that, a field survey was conducted seeking to evaluate the infrastructure of public pools and their surroundings through observation. Lastly, using georeferencing software, the population, and socioeconomic data around these pools were obtained and analyzed. Results: It was identified ten public swimming pools, and in seven the offer of swimming projects was foreseen. The infrastructure of the pools is mainly unsatisfactory, making necessary the improvement of the installation itself and in its surroundings. According to the results of the GIS, each pool has its specific public target concerning the characteristics of the profile of the residents surrounding these facilities. Conclusion: Information regarding the public profile around sports facilities generated from a tool such as GIS showed it is possible to determine which sports projects should be prioritized in each facility, leading to improvement in the management of sports-related public policies.

Abstract Annona crassiflora is a medicinal species and source of food with little information about its nutritional requirements during the initial phase. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate liming, phosphate fertilization and its interaction in A. crassiflora seedlings. The experiment was in a 4 × 4 factorial scheme with four replications in a randomized block design. The base saturations were: 8.3%, 25%, 50% and 75% and phosphorus: 0 mg dm-3, 100 mg dm-3, 200 mg dm-3 and 400 mg dm-3. The variables evaluated were biometrics, biomass and nutritional analysis. The species responded to the factors in isolation, and the increase in base saturation levels and phosphorus doses promoted significant effects for biometric variables, biomass, calcium, magnesium, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content. The saturation level promoted the best results, being 75% base saturation, while the highest phosphorus dosage was 400 mg dm-3.

Mesmo não possuindo apelo histórico e cultural, a Major League Soccer (MLS) alcançou entre o ano de 2014 e 2017 a média de 21.125 espectadores. O Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol no mesmo período teve uma média de público de 17.069. As explicações desses dados podem ser, dentre outros fatores, as características existentes nos respectivos formatos dos principais eventos de futebol existentes nesses países, além das influências de políticas, estrutura, sistemas e visão de gestão de seus responsáveis. Assim, o principal objetivo desse estudo é apresentar um dos fatores que pode justificar a diferença dos números relacionados com a média de público entre a MLS e o Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa qualitativa através de análise documental, utilizando-se de informações disponíveis nos regulamentos dos campeonatos, respectivamente MLS Roster Rules and Regulations 2018 e Regulamento Específico da Competição Campeonato Brasileiro da Série A 2018. A coleta de dados se deu em 2018. Para o tratamento dos dados e aplicação de estatística descritiva, foi utilizado o programa Microsoft Office Excel 2013. Foram realizadas análises nos documentos quanto ao Sistema de Disputa; Critério de Participação das equipes; Regras quanto ao sistema Financeiro das Equipes, especificamente: distribuição de receitas, regras de contratação de jogadores, normas sobre o passe dos atletas e teto salarial. Os resultados identificados proporcionam algumas conclusões. Apesar de toda história construída pelo futebol brasileiro, ele vem perdendo grande visibilidade no cenário mundial, principalmente quando nós referimos ao Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol e a organização responsável por ele. Para mudar esse cenário devemos investir principalmente na formação dos nossos futuros gestores, onde já que há uma carência relacionada à formação de gestores do esporte no Brasil e também uma falta de visão em não reconhecer a importância da gestão do esporte no futebol, dificultando assim a reciclagem administrativa dos clubes, federações e confederação.

A escrita deste trabalho tem seu embasamento em dados resultantes de estudos bibliográficos no grande tema ensino de ciências, mais especificamente para os anos finais do ensino fundamental, com o intuito de levantar algumas questões centrais a essa temática. As reflexões apresentadas pautam-se em ações metodológicas que colaborem para o processo de aprendizagem na área de ciências da natureza, por meio de estudo não apenas teórico, mas também contextualizado, com experimentações e atividades práticas e investigativas que promovam a participação dos estudantes e a efetiva compreensão desta área do conhecimento. Inicia-se com uma breve descrição sobre ciências, em seguida são apresentadas algumas reflexões sobre ciências da natureza e sua relação com outros saberes para a promoção da alfabetização científica. Por fim, expõe-se que o conhecimento conceitual em ciências adquire sentido para os estudantes quando este estudo se torna processual, ou seja, no momento em que a experimentação e outras práticas pedagógicas de caráter investigativo passam a ser incluídas nas aulas de ciências.

This study was conducted with the objective of evaluating the nutritional requirements and the effect of nutrient limitation over the development of baru seedlings (Dipteryx alata Vogel), using the nutrient limitation technique. The trial was established in a completely randomized design, with 12 treatments and 8 replicates. The adopted treatments were the following: complete 1 (C1 - fertilization with N, P, K, S, B, Cu, Zn and liming), complete 2 (C2 - fertilization with N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, B, Cu, Zn, with no liming), complete treatment with the omission of a nutrient at a time (C1-N, C1-P, C1-K, C1-S, C1-B, C1-Zn, C2-Ca, C2-Mg, C1-liming) and control (natural soil). We assessed plant height and diameter, and separated them into shoot and root system. The seedlings were dried, weighed, ground for the determination of nutrient content of the shoot dry matter. According to the results, the limitation of S and B did not affect the growth of Dipteryx alata seedlings. In general, P and N were the nutrients that most limited the growth of Baru seedlings. The sequence of nutritional requirements presented by the Baru seedlings, in decreasing order, considering the production of shoot dry biomass, was: P = N > Ca = Mg = Zn = K = S = B.

O voleibol no Brasil é o segundo esporte mais praticado, possui toda uma justificativa para sua cobertura midiática e respectiva popularidade. Além disso, diversos estudos tiveram como foco o estudo da gestão ou do marketing do voleibol no Brasil. Mesmo assim, ainda há espaço para a abordagem dessas temáticas e assuntos relacionados com o foque nos clubes brasileiros de voleibol. O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo fazer um levantamento e análise acerca do patrocínio das equipes participantes da Superliga de Voleibol 2017/2018 (feminina e masculina). O foco foi na identificação da origem das esquipes, setor das marcas patrocinadoras, números absolutos de patrocínios e relação entre número de títulos e tempo de patrocínios existentes. Esse estudo possuiu um enquadramento descritivo através de análise documental. Foram coletadas informações a partir dos dados disponíveis nos sites oficiais e páginas das equipes e em seus perfis oficiais existentes nas redes sociais (Facebook e Instagram especificamente), sendo no total 24 equipes (12 equipes masculinas e 12 equipes femininas). Como principais resultados, identificou-se que as equipes se concentram no sul, sudeste do país; as empresas patrocinadoras não apresentaram um padrão com relação aos seus setores de atuação; o número de patrocínios varia consideravelmente, onde algumas equipes apresentam até 4 empresas patrocinadoras enquanto que outras possuem mais de 20 empresas expostas em suas camisas; e por fim, existe uma expectativa de que o voleibol seja um atrativo para que as empresas invistam em patrocínios nesta modalidade, seja em razão da sua popularidade, cobertura midiática (iniciada desde a década de 1980) e provavelmente pela transferência de credibilidades das conquistas das seleções brasileiras em competições internacionais.

Abstract Acrocarpus fraxinifolius, known as Indian cedar, has little forestry development in Brazil. Thus, the objective of this study was to find the best relation between nutrition and container (tube) volume in seedlings of this species. The experiment was carried out in a 2 × 8 factorial scheme (2 containers and 8 fertilizers), with polypropylene tubes of 50 and 110 cm³ being tested, and the following fertilization treatments: one control, 4 increasing doses of osmocotee plus: 3, 5, 7, 9 kg per m³ of substrate, and fractionated mineral fertilizations with cover manure. It was possible to note that the tube with the highest volume (110 cm³) presented better results for the morphological characteristics. However, when analyzing the physiological variables, it is clear that the 50 cm³ tubes presented similar results to the largest volume tube when well fertilized. It is concluded that the indicated to form seedlings of the species is the combination of tubes of 50 cm³ with the fertilization or double of this recommendation.

Abstract In face of the global situation, a practice which has been gaining strength is producing seedlings for environmental restoration. Among the species that stand out for such activity is Hymenaea stigonocarpa. However, little is known about their nutritional requirements. The objective of this study was to evaluate the morphophysiological behavior of H. stigonocarpa seedlings submitted to phosphorus doses. The design was completely randomized with five doses (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 mg dm-3) and four replicates. Physiological, morphological, biomass and phosphorus content analyses were performed. There was a difference for root mass ratio, leaf mass ratio, shoot mass ratio, leaf area and root area. The dose of 200 mg dm-³ is recommended for H. stigonocarpa seedlings.

ABSTRACT Liming is beneficial for plants as it promotes pH elevation, neutralization of toxic aluminum, increase in calcium (Ca²+) and magnesium (Mg²+) supply, and provides greater root systems. However, it is known that different species, mainly those native to the Cerrado, respond in different ways to this technique. Given the above, the objective of this study was to determine how Hymenaea stigonocarpa (“Jatobá-do-Cerrado”) seedlings respond to liming in Dystrophic Red Latosol. The plants were cultivated in four-liter pots, submitted to different base saturation (natural soil, 30, 45, 60 and 75% V) and maintained in a greenhouse. Biometrics, biomass, nutritional content and physiological parameters were evaluated. A difference in Ca²+ and Mg²+ contents between leaves and stems was observed, leading to significant reductions in stomatal conductance, transpiration, internal CO2 concentration and internal and external CO2 concentration ratios, resulting in a reduction of the investment in growth and biomass. Given these results, there is no need for liming in the production of H. stigonocarpa seedlings in a Dystrophic Red Latosol.

ABSTRACT Annona crassiflora Mart. presents medicinal and food potential, and is also used in the recovery of degraded areas, however, little is known about its nutritional requirements. The aim of this work was to analyze the initial growth of A. crassiflora submitted to nitrogen and potassium fertilization. The experiment was conducted with a complete randomized block design with four replicates, each consisting of five nitrogen and potassium doses (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg dm-3). Results were submitted to regression analysis. The species showed significant response for nitrogen fertilization regarding biometric variables, biomass, DQI and nutritional contents at doses of 100 to 200 mg dm-3. On the other hand, potassium only influenced DQI, nutritional content and accumulation of A. crassiflora seedlings.

En el presente artículo nos proponemos reflexionar sobre las formas de resistencia surgidas debido a los complejos procesos socioeconómicos y políticos vinculados a la expansión de los agronegocios, en el marco de la consolidación de un capitalismo extractivo en gran parte de los países de América Latina. Analizaremos en perspectiva sociohistórica el conflicto socioambiental en la localidad de Malvinas Argentinas, provincia de Córdoba, Argentina, en torno a la pretensión de la empresa Monsanto de radicar allí una planta de procesamiento de maíz transgénico. Para esto, pondremos el foco en la organización en asambleas de los actores sociales movilizados contra la instalación, en las acciones desplegadas y en el carácter multiescalar del conflicto.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to verify the effect of phosphorus and liming doses on the morphological and nutritional characteristics of D. nigra seedlings. The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized 4x4 factorial design. The treatments consisted of 4 levels of liming and 4 phosphorus doses. Morphological characteristics and nutritional analyses of plants were measured. There were no significant interactions between liming x P. Morphological characteristics presented differences for liming and phosphorus when analyzed separately. The best productive performances were found between an increase in base saturation between 48.07% and 54.76%. Morphological characteristics showed a linear behavior for P. Both the application of liming and P promoted positive effects on D. nigra growth.

Programas de detecção e seleção de talentos esportivos existem em diferentes países. Independente do contexto, a existência destes programas visa a formação de atletas que possuam níveis internacionais de desempenho. Em termos de avaliação, os programas de talentos esportivos geralmente possuem como critério principal os resultados finais alcançados, o que leva a questionamentos sobre as ações realizadas durante os processos realizados. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a viabilidade da aplicação do questionário elaborado para avaliar a qualidade dos processos de detecção e seleção de talentos esportivos, proposto por Rütten, Ziemainz e Röger (2005). Através de Análise Fatorial Exploratória os resultados validam a utilização do modelo para avaliação dos processos de detecção e seleção de talentos esportivos no Brasil. Futuros estudos poderão se utilizar do modelo e questionário utilizados neste estudo e também comparar a realidade de outros países com a realidade brasileira.

An experiment was conducted in pots, red-yellow Oxisol substrate of low fertility in the greenhouse. 12 treatments were employed under the technique of the missing nutrient in fully randomized block design with eight replicates. The following treatments were applied: complete 1 (C1-fertilized with N, P, K, S, B, Cu, Fe, Zn and lime), complete 2 (C2-fertilized with N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg , B, Cu, Fe, Zn, without lime), omitting treatments complete when each of the relevant nutrients (complete 1, complete 1-K, complete -S, complete 1-P, complete 1 - B, complete 1 - Zn, complete 1 - lime, complete 2-Ca, complete 2 - Mg) and control. The plants were harvested and separated into air shoot and root system. Samples were dried at70 ° C, weighed and determined the levels of nutrients in shoot dry matter. According to the results concluded that the omission of Zn, Mg and K do not affect height growth of Caryocar brasiliense seedlings; during the absence of nutrients affect the development of plants in diameter Caryocar brasiliense, the total dry matter is not affected by the omission of nutrients; root / shoot ratio shows that the species is adapted to soils with low pH and low phosphorus levels; Caryocar brasiliense species show low nutritional requirements during formation process of seedlings, although the results may have been masked by the reservations contained in the seeds; nutrient content in pequi shoot dry biomass is low, indicating low nutritional requirements of the species.

In the last decades, anthropic activities such as agriculture activities, industrial and urban effluents and urban areas have been pointed as the main responsible for the alteration and degradation of the aquatic ecosystems. One way of analyzing the water quality of these environments is to study the aquatic microinvertebrated fauna. The present study aimed at analyzing the environmental water quality of Anhumas Stream in the city of Araraquara, SP, Brazil, by studying its aquatic macroinvertebrate community. Two samplings were carried out, being one in February and the other in October, 2008. Three sections of the stream were chosen for study, and two samples were collected at each site totalizing 12 samples. 35 families of macroinvertebrates were collected, totalizing 644 individuals. The Chironomidae family was the dominant one with approximately 57% of the total of collected organisms. The metrics of environmental evaluation using stream macroinvertebrates pointed to the conservation of the Anhumas stream, considering that we found a higher richness of families and a higher percentage of Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Tricoptera (EPT) than the ones found in streams with similar environments characteristics near to Araraquara region. The results pointed to the importance of conserving this area as a reference for water´s quality in the region of Araraquara.

OBJETIVO: Determinar a incidência e o impacto das complicações infecciosas do infarto agudo do miocárdio (IAM) no tempo de permanência e na letalidade. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo clínico e retrospectivo, tipo caso-controle, realizado por meio de análise de prontuários. A população do estudo foi constituída por pacientes internados na Unidade Coronariana do InCor do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP com diagnóstico de IAM, entre janeiro de 1996 e dezembro de 1999. RESULTADOS: Foram analisados 1.227 pacientes, e sessenta (5%) preenchiam os critérios diagnósticos de complicação infecciosa do IAM (grupo infectados). Os demais 1.167 pacientes constituíram o grupo controle. A média das idades (67,5 versus 62,6 anos), o tempo de permanência hospitalar (26,6 versus 12,0 dias) e a mortalidade hospitalar (45% versus 12%) foram maiores no grupo infectados. Pacientes submetidos a mais de três procedimentos invasivos apresentaram índice de mortalidade mais elevado (68% e 32%, p = 0,006). As infecções mais freqüentes foram as pulmonares (63%), do trato urinário (37%) e hemoculturas positivas sem sítio identificado (8%). CONCLUSÃO: Na população estudada, a incidência de complicação infecciosa foi de 5%. O tempo de internação prolongado e a taxa de mortalidade elevada sugerem que a complicação infecciosa tem um grande impacto sobre os pacientes internados com o diagnóstico de IAM em unidade coronariana.OBJECTIVE: To determine both the incidence and impact of infectious complications of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) on length of hospital stay and mortality. METHODS: This is a retrospective, case-control clinical trial involving medical records review. The study population consisted of patients admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the Hospital das Clínicas Heart Institute of the University of São Paulo Medical School - FMUSP - with AMI between January 1996 and December 1999. RESULTS: One thousand two hundred and twenty-seven patients were analyzed, and 60 (5%) met diagnostic criteria for infectious complication of AMI (infected group). The other 1167 patients served as control group. Mean age (67.5 versus 62.6), hospital length of stay (26.6 versus 12.0 days), and in-hospital mortality (45% versus 12%) were higher in the infected group. Mortality rate was higher among patients who underwent more than three invasive procedures (68% and 32%, p = 0.006). The most frequent infections were pulmonary (63%), urinary tract (37%) and positive blood cultures with no identifiable site of infection (8%). CONCLUSION: In the population studied, infectious complication rate was 5%. Prolonged hospital stay and high mortality rate suggest that infection complication has a great impact on AMI patients admitted to the coronary care unit.

Com o presente trabalho objetivou-se determinar o melhor processo de formação de mudas em diferentes níveis de sombreamento. O experimento foi conduzido no Setor de Cafeicultura do Departamento de Agricultura da ufla, onde mudas de cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.)foram formadas sob quatro diferentes tipos de luminosidade, sendo: em pleno sol e sob sombrites, com 30%, 50% e 90% de sombreamento. Os tratamentos foram dispostos em um delineamento com blocos casualisados, sendo quatro o número de blocos. O experimento foi conduzido até que as mudas atingissem o terceiro-quarto pares de folhas. As avaliações constituíram as seguintes análises de crescimento: altura, diâmetro de caule, número de pares de folha, peso seco de raíz, peso seco de parte aérea e área foliar. Concluiu-se que para as características de crescimento analisadas, as mudas sob sombrite com 50% de sombreamento foram melhores, seguidas daquelas com 90%, 30% e pleno sol.The present work aimed to determine the best shading levels for the growth of coffee seedlings. The experiment was carried out at the Agriculture Department of the Federal University of Lavras. Coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica L.) were grown under four shading levels: seedlings in full sunshine, and under 30%, 50%, and 90% shading. The treatments were arranged in a randomized block design, whith four replications. The experiment was run to the third/fourth leaf pair. Afterwards, the following analyses were performed: height, stem diameter, number of leaf pairs, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, and leaf area. Results showed the seedlings develop best under 50% shading, then 90 and 30% shading, and lastly under full sunshine.

Com o objetivo de avaliar a quantidade de depósitos da pulverização nos frutos de café com dois equipamentos associados a diferentes volumes de calda, foi instalado um experimento em lavoura de café (Acaiá) em uma fazenda do município de Campos Gerais (MG). O experimento constou de três volumes de calda (150, 300 e 600 L.ha-1). O primeiro volume foi pulverizado com o pulverizador pneumático Martignani, modelo Whirlwind B612, e os outros dois volumes com o pulverizador de pressão hidráulica convencional. O delineamento foi de blocos casualizados (DBC) com sete repetições. Cada parcela constou de três linhas com dez plantas (4 plantas úteis). As avaliações foram realizadas coletando-se cinco frutos nas partes inferiores e superiores após a pulverização das quatro plantas avaliadas, formando o esquema de parcelas subdivididas no espaço. Os frutos foram lavados e os depósitos quantificados em espectrofotômetro à leitura de 630 nm no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Sul de Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS), campus Machado. Os valores dos depósitos de pulverização foram analisados pelo teste F e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey a 5% de significância no programa SISVAR 4.3. Concluiu-se que as aplicações com pulverizador de pressão hidráulica (300 e 600 L/ha) proporcionaram depósitos maiores na parte inferior do cafeeiro.

Com a globalização, a segmentação de mercado ganhou muita importância e trouxe consigo a produção de produtos e serviços na medida e em conformidade com as particularidades e expectativas de cada um dos diferentes públicos. Produtos iguais não conseguem mais atender, em sua plenitude, todos os públicos pois esses possuem demandas e necessidades diferentes. O objetivo desse trabalho foi diagnosticar os hábitos e preferências do consumo de café entre as classes sociais “A” e “B” da cidade de Machado-MG, verificando se há predisposição desses em comprar um café diferencia. Para tal foi realizado uma pesquisa descritiva, nos principais supermercados de Machado/MG, onde se realizou uma entrevista, para determinar as particularidades desse publico alvo e posteriormente um teste cego com 3 marcas comerciais (apontadas como mais vendidas pelos supermercadistas) e uma de um café especial, preparados no Instituto Federal Sul de Minas. Os resultados demonstraram que os consumidores das classes A e B conseguiram diagnosticar, em sua maioria, o café especial e que comprariam tal por um preço acima dos praticados pelo mercado.

In this exploratory study, we describe the learning experiences of adolescents from a social project called "Orquestrando Talentos," which offered violin and viola lessons in two high-needs schools for low-income students in Erechim, Southern Brazil. Grounded on the central tenets of popular education, on Paulo Freire's work, and on earlier studies on the experiences of students from community-based strings programs, in this article we share the voices of six violin students (aged 12-14), their parents, and teachers, particularly as they relate to students' socioemotional learning and the social impact of the program on families, schools, and communities.

Resumo Este artigo teve por objetivo verificar a existência de um sistema de desenvolvimento de judocas e nadadores brasileiros talentosos, assim como descrever como ocorre o mesmo na prática, segundo a opinião dos técnicos dessas modalidades. Foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, por meio da realização de entrevistas com 18 técnicos de alto rendimento, sendo 11 de natação e sete de judô. Os técnicos participantes responderam a 10 perguntas semiestruturadas, relacionadas com o desenvolvimento de talento esportivo no Brasil. Os resultados foram analisados por meio do método do “Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo” DSC. Segundo 77% dos técnicos, não existe uma diretriz nacional para o desenvolvimento de talentos para as duas modalidades estudadas, e 66% dos entrevistados afirmaram que o desenvolvimento dos atletas ocorre por meio de cada entidade esportiva. De acordo com a opinião dos técnicos, conclui-se que as entidades nacionais de administração do esporte não elaboram diretrizes nacionais para o judô e a natação no Brasil, sendo as entidades de prática esportiva - tais como Clubes, Associações e Entidades Municipais de Prática Esportiva - as responsáveis pelo desenvolvimento dos atletas em ambas as modalidades.
