3. Determinación de la capacidad de oxigenación y desoxigenación del Río Fucha

- Abstract
Este trabajo compara el comportamiento de variables biológicas de algunos tramos del río Fucha ubicado en la ciudad de Bogotá. Este proyecto consta de tres fases mediante las cuales se definió las constantes de oxigenación y desoxigenación del río, a continuación se hará una breve descripción de cada una. En la primer fase se recolectó información histórica del río, con ayuda de la base de datos de la secretaria de Ambiente se obtuvieron datos cómo: Oxígeno disuelto, Demanda biológica de oxígeno, pH, caudal y velocidad en el período 2008 al 2015; ello permitió el desarrollo de la segunda fase, la cual consistió en la recolección de datos de campo del año 2016, a las cuales se le realizaron los laboratorios pertinentes en la Universidad Piloto de Colombia con el fin de tener una base de datos consolidada. Por último en la tercer fase se analizó cada variable y hubo una profundización sobre el comportamiento del río en cada tramo y en cada año, dicha fase concluyó con la modelación del río realizada para cada periodo anual y con ayuda del programa QUAL2K, el cual analiza cada variable y muestra mediante gráficas cómo se comporta el río con respecto a variables cuantitativas. Los modelos anuales obtenidos permitieron desarrollar el objetivo de la investigación mencionada sobre las condiciones biológicas del río Fucha.

vol. 71 no. 15, JACQUELYN ROLLYSON (p. 1) -- MARY HALL (p. 1) -- NEW CAMPUS BUILDING: Nearing completion is the impressive dome-topped planetarium, shown above, a section of the million dollar Polk County Science Building. Overlooking Lake Hollingsworth, the planetarium will be one of the South's largest. It is located at the south end of the 482-foot-long science building, which is the largest of the Frank Lloyd Wright-desgined buildings on the college's west campus. Below the planetarium, on ground-floor level, will be located the bio-research laboratory, which is scheduled for dedication during the college's 73rd Founder's Week celebration, March 3-9. (p. 1).
