This study aims to optimize the one-dimensional cutting process of aluminum bars for the production of aluminum doors. Reducing the use of bars and the amount of material that becomes scrap is a key factor in process efficiency, reducing the need for raw material procurement. The mathematical model used considers the size of the bar, the number and size of cuts, the size of the leftovers that can be used and the size of the leftovers that are considered scrap. Based on real data from a company in the aluminum frame segment, the mathematical model was used to simulate three different scenarios. Three different objective functions were used in the simulations, and the results obtained in each scenario were described in order to indicate the advantages and disadvantages of using each objective function. For the instance sizes studied, the model is able to obtain optimal solutions with little computational time, El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo optimizar el proceso de corte unidimensional de barras de aluminio para la producción de puertas de aluminio. Reducir el uso de barras y la cantidad de material que se convierte en chatarra es un factor clave en la eficiencia del proceso, reduciendo la necesidad de adquisición de materia prima. El modelo matemático utilizado considera el tamaño de la barra, el número y el tamaño de los cortes, el tamaño sobrante a que se puede usar y el tamaño sobrante que se considera chatarra. Basado en datos reales de una compañía en el segmento de marcos de aluminio, el modelo matemático se utilizó para simular tres escenarios diferentes. Se utilizaron tres funciones objetivo diferentes para el mismo modelo en las simulaciones y se describieron los resultados obtenidos en cada escenario para las tres funciones con el fin de indicar las ventajas y desventajas de usar cada función objetivo. Trucks are used by many industries in different sectors as industrial equipment. For that reason, selecting a truck without considering the best attributes for the company could cause further problems. Therefore, this paper presents a systematic review of studies that approach quantitative and qualitative decision-making methods and attributes that assist precise data collection. Thus, a framework was created to describe the factors and characteristics of studies, such as application types, hybrid models, sources and data validation. As a result, 11 articles were selected out of 893, all published in English. By analyzing the selected papers, we found applications of several multicriteria methods and a quality management tool to support decision-making. In addition, all the criteria, sub-criteria and attributes adopted by all the 11 studies were summarized and classified within 12 factors in order to simplify them, El camión de carga pesada es utilizado por empresas como equipamientos industriales. El objetivo del trabajo es describir una revisión sistemática de estudios científicos que proponen métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos para apoyar la selección de camiones y los atributos que ayudan a obtener informaciones de rendimiento del vehículo. Primero se clasificaron los trabajos por diversos factores y características como, por ejemplo, combinaciones de métodos y modelos, tipo de aplicación, entre otros. Después se seleccionaron 11 trabajos de 893 reunidos con la revisión sistemática. Con la investigación se encontraron métodos multicriterio y una herramienta de calidad aplicada para apoyar la toma de decisiones. También se reunieron 12 factores críticos a partir de los criterios, subcriterios y atributos utilizados para la selección de camiones y control de calidad

With the dissemination of quality models and the need for measurement-based management for software organizations, a variety of approaches and models are emerging to support organizations on this journey. According to a Systematic Review of Literature that selected 30 of 692 papers returned from search sources, it was noticed the need for guidelines and guides regarding the measurement process in a specific sector: micro and small companies that work with software maintenance. In this work, an empirical study was carried out to understand how the measurement process aligned with quality models can be implemented in these organizations. The field study followed the implementation of an improvement program based on CMMI® level 2 in 7 Brazilian companies from Maringá, Paraná. Finally, it was found that the process for the definition of a measurement guide can be common to a specific group of companies, taking steps and guidelines for its execution, always aligned with the organization’s strategy, giving top management an objective view work and process, supporting decision making.

Competition among small and medium-sized enterprises has grown over the years due to the advancement of technology and the globalization of the market and operations. Production Planning, Programming and Control (PPCP) acts as a link between management and manufacturing, in these small and medium-sized enterprises. The present study, through an action research in a microenterprise manufacturer of Brooms made of PET, aimed at the implementation of a hybrid PPCP system. The model was proposed by using the concepts of Lean Manufacturing, to map and know the process eliminating wasted time and resources, Theory of Constraints to identify constraints and bottlenecks and the MRP system to act within the context of pushed production. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a Framework that presents the method used in the implementation of the work, which provided with results such as production order, security stock, and correct input definition. The model put the company in other level of organization and efficiency in the use of resources.

Logística reversa consiste no planejamento, implementação e controle do fluxo reverso de produtos pós-venda e pós-consumo. O objetivo deste artigo é identificar redes colaborativas emergentes e áreas científicas em Reverse Logistics (RL) usando análises temporais, geoespaciais e tópicas. O estudo baseia-se na análise das redes bibliométricas, uma técnica utilizada para medir o desenvolvimento científico, os índices de produção e a disseminação do conhecimento. Os principais resultados da pesquisa destacam a relação das áreas de conhecimento e lacunas científicas, a identificação dos principais autores e os aspectos relacionados à rede social de cooperação dos autores, como país, citações e densidade da rede.

The geographical, temporal distances and socio-cultural differences are the biggest challenges for Global Software Development (GSD). In GSD, it is necessary to deal with behaviors, values and skills of the team members, conflicts, rework, delays, etc. can influence a software production process. The objective of this paper is to identify the sociocultural aspects and propose a classification structure under different analytical perspectives in order to offer adequate support to the management of GSD teams. A systematic mapping and proposal an approach that classifies aspects in three perspectives: collaboration, people and external. The analysis allows the project manager to make decisions about the performance of human resources and mitigate problems arising from communication, cooperation and coordination, generating better results in indicators of productivity, quality and efficiency of GSD teams.

This paper presents the optimization of aggregate mixture in the production of paver blocks through the formulation of a linear programming model. The proposed model aims at reducing manufacturing costs, respecting the compliance with the minimum quality requirements and mechanical/physical characteristics required by the technical standards. The results obtained with the model were used to produce a batch of products, which underwent a process of visual inspection of the quality and laboratory tests. The results showed the viability of using a linear programming to define the required quantities of raw materials to the manufacturing process of Concrete Paver Blocks, which generates economic benefits for the industry and allows the product quality control as well., En este trabajo se presenta la optimización de la mezcla de agregados en la producción de bloques de adoquines, mediante la formulación de un modelo de programación lineal. El objetivo es utilizar un modelo de optimización para reducción de los costos de fabricación, respetando el cumplimiento de los requisitos mínimos de calidad y las características mecánicas / físicas requeridas por las normas técnicas. Los resultados obtenidos con el modelo se utilizaron para producir un lote de productos, que fue sometido a un proceso de inspección visual de las pruebas de calidad y de laboratorio. Los resultados demuestran la viabilidad del uso de la programación lineal para definir las cantidades requeridas de materias primas para el proceso de fabricación de bloques de concreto para pavimentos de concreto, que genera beneficios económicos en la industria y permite el control de la calidad del producto.

The present work consists of analysis of the Work Routine Management development and implementation, in a process (register) of Operational Units in an Agro-industrial Cooperative, in order to use management tools that facilitate the identification of possible problems that hamper the results and their respective causes, and the execution of routine activities. The analysis consists of process mapping, creation and review of process indicators, as well as the definition of goals for monitoring and activating Routine Management. It also includes the survey of opportunities for improvement and the definition of an action plan in order to optimize the process for those involved, making it possible to act by monitoring the results obtained, tracing future actions and not only for correcting mistakes occurred during work routines.

The competitive scenario requires organizational strategies increasingly elaborated, creating the need of companies to structure their management models in order to absorb these conflicts generated by competition. The manufacturing area is financially affecting deeply the company's results, thus process improvement comes as the organization's survival guideline, and the rationalization of waste without the need for high investments, shown a great competitive alternative. The application of Kaizen event seeks to measure the benefits generated by the implementation of the philosophy of lean manufacturing, working setup aspects of machinery, the manufacturing process flow, reduced delivery lead-time and inventory process. The Kaizen Blitz was applied in a production cell of stamping and spirt processes. The obtained major improvements have been the reduction of machine setup time, reducing lead-time of item processing, the material flow within the production cell, and creating conditions for a more flexible management of the production schedule.
