Background: This research aimed to evaluate the association between the monthly consumption of fish (differentiated by type) and both gestational and neonatal outcomes. Methods: Women who were admitted for delivery in the last 6 months of 2023 were prospectively included and divided according to type of fish consumed (based on DHA and mercury content) and frequency of consumption. Neonatal outcomes included weight, length, head circumference, and 1st and 5th minute Apgar scores. Maternal outcomes were threats of abortion, preterm birth, gestational diabetes and hypertension, cesarean section, and differential body mass index (BMI). Results: Small-size oily fish with high DHA and low mercury content (type B fish) consumption was positively associated with neonatal weight and head circumference, and less weight gain in pregnancy. It was also significantly associated with lower incidences of gestational diabetes and hypertension, and cesarean section. Correlation between differential BMI and monthly consumption of fish resulted in statistical significance, especially in type B fish consumers. Conclusions: The consumption of type B fish was significantly associated with increased neonatal weight and head circumference and better maternal outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, there has been a growing focus on healthy eating. Concerns about general healthiness, food safety, evolving culinary preferences and the shift towards healthier lifestyles are shaping consumers' intentions when it comes to food purchases, impacting the demand for food items that are perceived as healthier than other options. This study aims to enhance our understanding of the significance that consumers place on perceptions of food digestibility, with a specific focus on sweet peppers as a case study. To explore signals linked to consumers' perceptions of digestibility, a questionnaire was administered to 582 Italian consumers. Employing an econometric estimation as the methodological approach, we aim to elucidate the relationship between various factors and the perception of digestibility. The results suggest that intrinsic and extrinsic characteristics of sweet peppers, culinary preparations and sociodemographic traits of consumers may influence perceived digestibility. In conclusion, the study finds that Italian consumers pay significant attention to the digestibility of sweet peppers, and these insights can serve as a valuable tool for the gastronomy sector. The world economy, already launched toward the globalization of markets, is strenuously searching for nonrenewable natural resources, to exploit in the productive processes to satisfy the demands of a world population in continuous growth. In such a context ecological taxation can contribute to the resolution of environmental problems, stimulating the entrepreneurs to appraise opportunities, not only environmental but also economical, that spring from the introduction of innovations of sustainable processes. With this in mind this article has proceeded with an evolutionary adaptation of the environmental curve of Kuznets, through a three-dimensional re-elaboration inserting as a third variable the sustainable technological component and showing how this can represent a valid tool of environmental politics for the attainment of an acceptable level of pollution for society in developed countries. Therefore, the objective of public governance is to favor research in the field of sustainable technology and to induce, even through the introduction of environmental taxation and facilitations, enterprises to use productive eco-compatible processes with the purpose of improving the general level of the quality of life in harmony with the concept of sustainable development. The N,N',O-hetreoscorpionate ligand 1-(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-pyridin-2-yl)-2-methyl-1-pyrazol-1-yl-propan-2-ol (LOH) is synthesized in two high-yield steps. The analysis has disclosed the occurrence of equilibria between different [[Zn[(LOH).sub.2]].sup.2} octahedral isomers and the [[Zn(LOH)Cl].sup.} tetrahedral species.

The preparation of new zwitterionic metalates of Cu, Ag, and Au is described. It continues the series of HRSNS complexes and show how their properties as metalloligands are extended to other metals in order to produce a series of rationally assembled multizwitterions.

Dinuclear Cu(I) complexes with bifunctionalized homoscorpionate ligands, hydrotris(thioxotriazolyl)borato [Li(Tr(super Me,o-Py), and Li(Tr(super Mes,Me), and the heteroscorpionate ligand hydro[bis(thioxotriazolyl)-3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazolyl]borato[K(Br(super Mes)pz(super o-Py)] were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The complexes [Cu(Tr(super Mes,Me) and [Cu(Tr(super Me,o-Py)] exhibit a similiar coordination geometry where every metal is surrounded by three thioxo groups in a trigonal arrangement.

Research has been conducted on the heterocycle thioxotriazole. The reaction of this thioxotriazole with sodium tetrahydroborate has been examined and the results indicate that this reaction provides [N (sub)3 /S (sub)3] ambidentate tripod ligand hydridotris(thioxotriazolyl)borate as its sodium complex salt.

Research has been conducted on the Haat reaction with copper complexes in water. Trinuclear complexes resulted from this reaction are described.

An experiment was conducted as part of studies into the chemistry of polynuclear complexes containing anionic ligands of the N-C-X type (where X = N, O and S). The study resulted in the first tetranuclear complex with two bridging N-C-S ligands exhibiting a mu-(1:2kappaS) coordination mode. The tetranuclear complex was found to undergo a change in the mu-(1kappaN, 2kappaS) coordination mode by replacement of the ancillary ligands.

The preparation and spectroscopic characterization of substituted niobocene trihydrides of the type Nb(C5H3RR')2H3 where R=R' when R'=H, R=H when R'=SiMe3 and R=R' when R'=SiMe3 were performed. Likewise, the influence on exchange coupling and the adducts formed upon addition of Lewis acidic copper, silver and gold cations of the type (Cu(MeCN)4)PF6, AgBF4 and Auu(THT)PF6, were also investigated.

The mononuclear complex (MCl(H2Bzimt)(cod)), where M = Rh, Ir, cod = 1,5 cyclooctadiene, and Bzimt = benzimidazole-2-thiol, is a precursor for synthesizing homo- and hetero-tetranuclear complexes such as (MM'(mu-Bzimt)(cod)2)2, which have S-coordinated ligands. The dinuclear and trinuclear complexes appear as intermediates during the process. The impact of steric and anisotropic effects is reflected in the chemical shift values of olefinic protons. The 1H-NMR spectra is carried out by selective decoupling, NOE, and H,H-COSY experiments.

Platinum complexes with phenanthroline (phen) substituents in the ortho position undergo rotation of the ligand plane with respect to the N-Pt-N' plane. This is accompanied by displacement of the equatorial iodine atoms from the coordination plane and ligand distortion. Rotation of the ligand plane is less in octahedral (PtI4(2.9-Me2-4,7-Ph2phen)).I2 than in square planar PtI2(2.9-Me2-4,7-Ph2phen). For Pt(II) complexes with planar geometry, reduction process involves one-electron species. Distorted Pt(II) complexes undergo irreversible reduction via simplification of the complex geometry.

Purpose: the objective of this work is to measure customer satisfaction in the Sicilian agritourism. Design/methodology/ approach: in order to collect the necessary data, an ad hoc questionnaire was realized. The questionnaire, that was anonymous, was directly distributed with the face-to-face method. Questionnaires were given to 200 men and women aged under 30. The data collected were processed through Probit estimation. Findings: although the objective of our research is to analyse the measurable customer satisfaction only for the real users of farm structures, we believe it is important not to neglect, at least preliminarily, those individuals who have never experienced the stay in a farm. This allows us, therefore, on one hand, to verify through a Chi-Squared test, whether or not there is a connection between having stayed or not on a farm and the social-demographic and the behavioural characteristics of the respondents belonging to the two groups; on the other hand, through the estimation of a Probit model which takes into consideration only people who actually stayed on a farm, we will be able to identify the factors that could have influenced, positively or negatively, "customer satisfaction". Originality/value: the originality of the research consists mainly in a deeper knowledge of customer satisfaction in Sicilian agritourism. This information is useful to better define the rural tourism market and to allow, especially to small businesses, to establish effective marketing strategies in relation to the real preferences of tourist and the decision-making process of choice put in place by them. Phthaloyl dichlorides react with AlCl3 in situ through a ring chain tautomerism to form asym-dichlorides which further react with aromatic substrates to form o-benzoylbenzoic acid pseudochlorides. The resulting compounds are suitable for electrophilic cycloacylation process. Regioselective cycloacylation of bromophthalides initiated by AlCl3 result in the formation of anthraquinones.

NMR spectroscopic analysis enables the analysis of exchange of donor nitrogen and rotations near the Pt-P and P-C bonds of the phosphine in platinum (II) complexes having monocoordinated 2,9-dimethyl-1, 10-phenanthroline (Me2-phen) and phosphine ligands. Nature of the trans ligand influences the measured free energy values for bidentate ligand flipping with converging lone pairs of electrons. X-ray study suggests a stacking interaction of a phenyl ring of PPh3 with Me2-phen aromatic system, leading to high rotation barrier for phosphine group.

Hydrolysis study of AgPF6 in CH2Cl2, chloroform and benzene reveal the involvement of silver cation in the reaction. 19F and 31P NMR spectra are employed to study the intermediates involved in the hydrolysis of AgPF6 by CD2Cl2. Acetone, acetonitrile and tetrahydrofuran solvents do not give the hydrolysis reaction. The coordinating ability of silver cation with solvent is vital in controlling the promotion of hydrolysis. The silver center promotes the cationic activation of water molecule.

Cobalt(II) complex is synthesized and its reaction with ketophosphine ligand Ph2PCH2C(O)Ph is studied. An analysis of Co(II)-ketophosphine complexes CoX2(Ph2PCH2C(O)Ph)2, where X is a halogen, reveals their state of tetrahedral-octahedral equilibrium in methanol. The reactions of CoCl2(Ph2PCH2C(O)Ph)2 with AgBF4, TlPF6 and Na(Co(CO)4) are studied.

Cyanide-substituted anionic complexes such as Na(Cp'Mn-(CO)2CN), where Cp' is eta-MeC5H4, never have a metal-centered HOMO, unlike many other carbonylmetalates of the transition metals. These complexes possess nitrogen-based orbitals which prefer coordination to metal centers by a cyanide moiety, resulting in the generation of the Mn-CN-M' chain systems. The coordination through the CN in the terminal and bridging modes is effected by the cyanometalate ligand (Cp' Mn(CO)2CN)-.

Heterometallic carbonyl complexes were prepared by reaction of dppm (dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2) with linear trinuclear chain complexes trans-Pt or Pd (m(CO))2(NCPh)2 m(CO) = Mo(CO)3Cp, W(CO)3Cp, Mn(CO)5, Co(CO)4. The products have different structures depending on the nature of the metal carbonyl fragment M(CO). The crystal structure of (eta2-dppm)Pt(micro-dppm)W(CO)2Cp (PF6) and reactivity studies leading to the synthesis of heterobimetallic hydrido complexes were also reported.
