This research paper examines the efficacy of key success factors (CSFs) in the context of electric vehicle (EV) adoption among drivers in Malaysia. The CSFs examined in this study are infrastructure readiness (IR), perceived value pricing (PVP), and environmental conservation (ECV). The questionnaire had a respondent's size of 253 drivers from Malaysia, with the intention of facilitating extensive and unconstrained talks including both road users and road safety specialists. A technique was developed with the aim of identifying the primary elements that contribute to the promotion of safe driving behaviour. The study's findings suggest a correlation between the utilisation of electric vehicles and the indicators of IR, PVP, and ECV. Therefore, this study provides an opportunity for experts to get insight into the effectiveness of the currently established CSFs that influence the utilisation of EV. This study aims to contribute valuable insights to the existing body of literature on the utilisation of EV by offering comprehensive information on the efficacy of CSFs and their impact on EV adoption. The findings of the study revealed a statistically significant association between the adoption of EV concepts and the driver behaviour. Many studies have been conducted pertaining to the subject matter of electric vehicles in a broad context. However, there is a dearth of comprehensive research studies that particularly examine the subject of efficiency in critical success factors pertaining to the utilisation of electric vehicles in Malaysia. Transnational, global trades, investments, and travels, amongst other drivers of globalization, helps to reverberate the deadly coronavirus pandemic from Wuhan, China, across the world like whirl fire. In order to contain the infectious spread of the pandemic, and mitigate its negative effects on macro-economic variables, the World Health Organization, (WHO) designed Covid-19 protocols that are being enforced by governments and people of the world. Based on the above account, the study examined the Second wave effect of Covid'19 pandemic on transportation business: Keke-napep and Motorcycle transport systems in Asaba metropolis, Nigeria. The main objective is to empirically determine the real impact of the pandemic on rural land transport business. The study employed structured questionnaire and interview methods to generate data from the 250 respondents selected using the census sampling technique. Out of the 250 sets of questionnaires administered, 235 (94%) were retrieved while 15 (6%) were rejected. The statistical tools used for analyzing data were correlation and multiple regression techniques. Findings were that covid'19 pandemic negatively affected rural land transport business. The study concludes that, the coronavirus pandemic caused a contraction in transport business. It is therefore recommended that, there is a need for government to relax the stringent covid'19 protocols to allow economic activities to resume again. Campaigns on safety and hygiene should be intensified so that the populace will imbibe the culture of general cleanliness and personal hygiene, amongst others. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Resumen La gestión pública de transporte y accesibilidad universal en Ecuador está cambiando a partir de la generación del “Plan de Movilidad Urbana y Sostenible”. En este contexto, este estudio se basa en el análisis de los procesos administrativos y mecanismos de implementación desde un enfoque sistémico investigando a cada una de las instituciones que intervienen en el sistema de transporte terrestre y que permitan reconocer el estado actual de los métodos administrativos que rigen la accesibilidad e inclusión. La investigación se basa en tres componentes: identificación de las instituciones involucradas, entrevistas individuales y/o grupales y análisis a los estatutos y atribuciones institucionales. Los resultados muestran las fortalezas y debilidades dentro del accionar para así proponer recomendaciones generales que permitan fortalecer la gestión pública y contribuyan a la planificación e implementación de sistemas de transporte terrestre accesibles en el país. Abstract The public management of transport and universal accessibility in Ecuador is changing from the generation of the "Urban and Sustainable Mobility Plan". In this context, this study is based on the analysis of the administrative processes and implementation mechanisms from a systemic approach, investigating each of the institutions that intervene in the land transport system and that allow recognizing the current state of the administrative methods that govern accessibility and inclusion. The research is based on three components: identification of the institutions involved, individual and/or group interviews, and analysis of the institutional statutes and attributions. The results show the strengths and weaknesses within the action to propose general recommendations to strengthen public management and contribute to the planning and implementation of accessible land transportation systems in the country.

This article aims to analyze the limitations of rail transport in Thailand and Burma before World War II, focusing on inland transport between entrepôts and their hinterlands. Before the arrival of the railway age, the main forms of transportation were by water and by animal power on land. The introduction of steamships in lower river basins and coastal areas improved transport conditions in terms of time and cost. In inland areas where traditional water transport by boat or animal-powered land transport was indispensable, these forms of transport remained unchanged until the opening of the railways. Inland railways inevitably absorbed almost all the traditional forms of transportation, with two exceptions: teak logs and animal transport from inland areas. Teak logs from the Shan highlands and Northern Thailand were still floated down rivers to their destinations, and draught animals such as cattle and buffalo were still brought to market on foot even after the opening of the railways. As these modes of transport were apparently regarded as free, the railways could not dislodge them until people recognized the actual costs involved. The end of traditional forms of transport was not ushered in by the modernization of transport, but by government prohibitions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ensuring mobility and the necessary volume of transportation is one of the basic conditions for the functioning of the economy. The potential threat to existing transport systems is therefore an area that needs increased attention. The complexity of modern transportation is due to its increasing frequency, the expansion of transport routes, as well as the increase in the number of actors involved in their implementation, which places ever greater demands on their mutual coordination. It is necessary to constantly monitor the progress of transportation, to identify and assess the risks that may affect them. Insufficient attention to this issue can lead to time and material losses, in the worst case, the death of their participants, or to the high financial costs required to rebuild the disrupted system. Transport is an open system in which more and more people are working, whether transported or involved in its organization, which increases the possibility of their failure and facilitates the possibility of attack. Strict application of risk management, assessment and, if necessary, implementation of necessary measures can lead to protection of high-value assets. At present, we already commonly encounter concepts such as the intelligent transport route or the autonomous means of transport. All these circumstances, as well as the importance of transport, which we could compare to blood circulation of the state's economy, make it a possible target for various types of attacks. Cyber threats and attacks are becoming more and more relevant today. Such an attack is characterized by a relatively low level of threat to the attacker himself and a possible high level of damage if it is successful.

The issue of spatial data visualization is currently an important element in the positioning and navigation process. The constant trend in increasing the accuracy and availability of position modules affects the widespread use of the mobile devices in transport. The paper presents creation of a three-dimensional visualization model based on ground tracks recorded in NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) and GPX (GPS Exchange Format) formats. Additionally, the study presents an analysis of the positioning accuracy including the sky obstructions presence and the instantaneous state of the satellite constellation. The significant deterioration in positioning accuracies was noted due to the presence of sky obstructions and low movement speed during data recording. The analysis of these parameters showed the dependence of the positioning accuracy with the number of visible satellites and the HDOP (Horizontal Dilution of Precision) parameter. In this study, the effect of geographical factors on the road and railway transportation lines, which constitute two important fields of activity of land transportation, passing through the city of Amasya and the problems caused by this situation in transportation in the city center were tried to be examined. The city of Amasya has always been on these important land transportation routes with its location and landform characteristics. Located within the borders of the Central Black Sea Region of the Black Sea Region, the city of Amasya developed in the strait opened by Yeşilırmak in a limestone mass between Kırklar Mountain in the north and Sakarat Mountain in the south. Through this strait, the city became an important junction point in land transportation in the north-south and east-west directions. The Strait of Amasya, which had a guiding effect on the development of the city of Amasya, had a similar effect on land transportation and made it necessary for both the railway and the highway to pass through the valley floor in the Bosphorus. The historical and cultural richness of the city of Amasya and the fact that it was established in the Bosphorus do not allow the expansion of the existing highway. On the other hand, both the increase in the number of motor vehicles in the city and the increase in the number of transit vehicles passing through the city cause a big jam in the city due to the traffic density at every hour of the day. Projects such as Ferhat Tunnel, Kale Road and Çakallar Local roads have been completed and have partially reduced the density in the city. In addition, the completion of the ring road in 2020, which greatly reduced the traffic density in the city center of Amasya, provided a significant relief in terms of transportation in the region. The purpose of this article is to show the place of Georgian land transport in spatial development, in its economic development and future perspectives, with methodoligical aproach. The topic was chosen due to its actuality. Decline in amounts of freight and passenger shows that country is not so attractive to be part of any international transport corridor. To overcome the problem, we should know cause of it and the whole process of development, showing the factors which have influenced on the current result. The aim and novelty of the article is research of human geographical aspects of modern Georgian land transport, which covers the following objectives and issues: analyze existed modern literature around Georgian land transport, find and explain causes and consequences compare current trends with past and setting the perspectives. Examining Georgian land transport will be good example for understanding Caucasian transport corridor in order to connect it with international transport corridors and benefit for local economic growth. Being part of international trading systems is key to Georgia’s geopolitical location. According to current international economic environment and land transport’s infrastructural and economic regress there are several questions how can it be part of international transport corridor. Comparing with EU reforms and study of Chinese transport connections towards European countries will give some answers.

This article aims to analyse the potential for international climate governance to promote the decarbonisation of land transport. It first summarises challenges and barriers that impede the transformation of the sector. On this basis, the article discusses how international governance could potentially assist with overcoming these barriers and mobilising potentials. Subsequently, the article analyses to what extent existing international governance institutions deliver on the potential identified. The analysis finds that while there is a large number of international institutions trying to promote the decarbonisation of land transport, none of them emerge saliently as hubs or core institutions. There is a substantial amount of activity to generate and disseminate knowledge and learning, but the potential for providing guidance and signal, setting rules, providing transparency/accountability and means of implementation could be further exploited. The article concludes with suggestions on how international governance may be strengthened.
