Luminescent materials with emissions at specific wavelengths, which have a relatively lower proportion of emissions in the solar spectrum, have great prospects for use in production and daily life. In this study, SrGaB2O7 deep‐blue phosphors doped with Bi3+ are synthesized, it has 430 nm deep‐blue emissions and a low proportion of emissions relative to 470–660 nm visible light in the solar spectrum. By co‐doping with alkali metal ions to compensate for the charge, the emission intensities and absolute quantum yields of the phosphors can be effectively improved. The SrGaB2O7:0.01Bi3+, 0.01K+ deep‐blue phosphor has a high quantum yield of 85% and negative thermal quenching properties. Moreover, the SrGaB2O7:0.01Bi3+, 0.01K+ deep‐blue phosphor can be packaged with different potting adhesives to form light‐emitting diodes (LEDs), exhibiting excellent luminescent performances and promising application prospects. Abstract: In this paper, the perovskite-type oxide LaCoO3 was studied as a cathode catalyst for use in a direct borohydride fuel cell (DBFC). The experimental results demonstrated that the LaCoO3-catalysed cathode not only shows good electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction in alkaline solutions, but also shows good resistance to poisoning from BH4 − ions originating from the fuel during discharge performance. Based on this new type of catalyst, a membraneless fuel cell was designed with a hydrogen storage alloy used as the anode catalyst. The maximal current density of 220mAcm−2 and power density of 65mWcm−2 were obtained at ambient conditions. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: A green and convenient approach was provided to produce useful o-chloroaniline (o-CAN) over Pt–Ru/Fe3O4/C catalyst. The catalyst was prepared by impregnation method and exhibited high activity and selectivity for the selective hydrogenation of o-chloronitrobenzene (o-CNB) under solvent-free conditions Up to 100% selectivity to o-CAN was achieved at complete o-CNB conversion. The catalyst was characterized by TEM, EDX, XPS, XRD and FT-IR, and the possible reasons of the high catalytic activity and the deactivation of the catalyst after 20 cycles were discussed. Abstract: Direct borohydride fuel cells (DBFCs), with a series of perovskite-type oxides La1−x Sr x CoO3 (x =0.1–0.5) as the cathode catalysts and a hydrogen storage alloy as the anode catalyst, are studied in this paper. The structures of the perovskite-type catalysts are mainly La1−x Sr x CoO3 ( x =0.1–0.5) oxides phases. However, with the increase of strontium content, the intensities of the X-ray diffraction peaks of the impure phases La2Sr2O5 and SrLaCoO4 are gradually enhanced. Without using any precious metals or expensive ion exchange membranes, a maximum current density of 275mAcm−2 and a power density of 109mWcm−2 are obtained with the Sr content of x =0.2 at 60°C for this novel type of fuel cell. Background: Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe complication of sepsis, characterized by inflammation, edema, and injury to alveolar cells, leading to high mortality rates. Septic ALI is a complex disease involving multiple factors and signaling pathways. STEAP family member 1 (STEAP1) has been reported to be upregulated in a sepsis-induced ALI model. However, the role of STEAP1 in the regulation of septic ALI is not yet fully understood., Methods: The study stimulated human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells (HPMECs) using lipopolysaccharides (LPS) to establish an in vitro ALI model. The study used quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) to measure mRNA expression, and western blotting assay or immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay to analyze protein expression. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was performed to assess cell viability. Flow cytometry was conducted to analyze cell apoptosis. Tube formation assay was used to analyze the tube formation rate of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) were used to measure the levels of interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). The levels of Fe2+ and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were determined using colorimetric and fluorometric assays, respectively. The glutathione (GSH) level was also determined using a colorimetric assay. m6A RNA immunoprecipitation assay, dual-luciferase reporter assay, and RNA immunoprecipitation assay were performed to identify the association of STEAP1 with methyltransferase 14, N6-adenosine-methyltransferase non-catalytic subunit (METTL14) and insulin like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2). The transcript half-life of STEAP1 was analyzed by actinomycin D assay. Finally, a rat model of polymicrobial sepsis was established to analyze the effects of STEAP1 knockdown on lung injury in vivo., Results: We found that the mRNA expression levels of STEAP1 and METTL14 were upregulated in the blood of ALI patients induced by sepsis compared to healthy volunteers. LPS treatment increased the protein levels of STEAP1 and METTL14 in HPMECs. STEAP1 depletion attenuated LPS-induced promoting effects on HPMECs' apoptosis, inflammatory response, and ferroptosis, as well as LPS-induced inhibitory effect on tube formation. We also found that METTL14 and IGF2BP2 stabilized STEAP1 mRNA expression through the m6A methylation modification process. Moreover, METTL14 silencing attenuated LPS-induced effects by decreasing STEAP1 expression in HPMECs, and STEAP1 silencing ameliorated cecal ligation and puncture-induced lung injury of mice., Conclusion: METTL14/IGF2BP2-mediated m6A modification of STEAP1 aggravated ALI induced by sepsis.
