【Abstract】A 34-year-old man admitted to our department with complex blunt pancreaticoduodenal injury after a car accident. The wall of the first, second, and third portions of the duodenum was extensively lacerated, and the pancreas was longitudinally transected along the superior mesenteric vein-portal vein trunk. The pancreatic head and the uncinate process were devitalized and the distal common bile duct and the proximal main pancreatic duct were completely detached from the Vater ampulla. The length of the stump of distal common bile located at the cut surface of remnant pancreas was approximately 0.6 cm. A simplified Kausch-Whipple’s procedure was performed after debridement of the devitalized pancreatic head and resection of the damaged duodenum in which the stump of distal common bile duct and the pancreatic remnant were embedded into the jejunal loop. Postoperative wound abscess appeared that eventually recovered by conservative treatment. During 16 months follow-up the patient has been stable and healthy. A simplified pancreaticoduodenectomy is a safe alternative for the Whipple procedure in managing complex pancreaticoduodenal injury in a hemodynamically stable patient. The microbiota plays a critical role in amphibian health, however, the exact impact of disease on the host microbiota assembly remains unclear, and microbiota-based health assessment and disease prediction is a promising yet poorly established field. Chinese spiny frog (Quasipaa spinosa) is an important "famous, high-quality and new" cultured amphibian in China, but diseases have become a major bottleneck restricting the development of breeding industry, especially during the initial stages of complete metamorphosis. Disruption of homeostasis or failure to reconstruct the skin microbiota leads to a variety of diseases. In this study, Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology was utilized to systemically explore potential associations between host health status (healthy spiny frogs (CTL), dysplastic disease (DD), and torticollis disease (TD)) and the composition, diversity and function of the skin microbiota. A total of 2997 amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) were obtained by sequencing, quality control and clustering, annotating 32 phyla, 76 orders, 167 orders, 259 families and 402 genera. Proteobacteria, Firmicutes and Bacteroidota were the dominant phyla (>1%) shared by all groups, but their abundance was significantly modified by health status of the host. At the genus level, 50 sensitive taxa were screened with 23 (e.g., Lactobacillus, Devosia, Shewanella and Luteolibacter) exhibiting high relative abundance in the CTL group, indicating the health status of spiny frogs. 19 taxa (e.g., Empe-dobacter, Bacillus and Brevinema) showed high relative abundance in the DD group, indicating dysplasia in spiny frogs, and 8 taxa (e.g., Elizabethkingia, Citrobacter and Acinetobacter) had high relative abundance in the TD group, indicating torticollis. Alpha diversity analyses indicated that the TD group had significantly lower diversity and evenness compared to the CTL and DD groups, and the microbiota composition also exhibited distinct separation. Functional predictions indicated significant differences between the CTL and diseased groups, which were mainly enriched in metabolism-relevant pathways. In summary, this study depicts the composition and changes in the skin microbiota of spiny frogs under different health conditions, highlighting the potential application of symbiotic microbiota modification in healthy amphibian culture and disease prevention. BACKGROUND: With more pregnant women undergoing cesarean section, the number of women with scarring in the uterus undergoing uterine magnetic resonance (MR) examination in the second and third trimesters following a subsequent pregnancy, has increased. OBJECTIVE: To investigate features of MR signals in retroplacental basal decidual space. METHODS: The MR imaging data of patients with clinically and pathologically confirmed placenta implantation and complete placental abruption were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS: Patients with high-intensity signals in T2-weighted images (T2WI) of the retroplacental basal decidual space did not suffer placenta implantation after delivery, while high-intensity signals in T2WI of the retroplacental basal decidual space was not observed in patients with different degrees of placenta implantation. CONCLUSION: As the retroplacental basal decidual space is the barrier between the placenta and myometrium, high-intensity signals in T2WI can improve the confidence of MR exclusion diagnostics of placenta implantation, and can be used as exclusion criteria for MR diagnosis of placenta implantation. Four kinds of tridentate [OSO] bisphenol titanium complex catalysts [S (2-CH2-4-tBu-6-R-C6H2O)2]TiCl2(R1 = CMe3, R2 = CPhMe2, R3 = CPh2Me, R4 = CPh3) were prepared from 4-tert-butyl phenol through bromination, nucleophilic substitution and metal complexation reaction by changing the ortho-substituent of hydroxyl. The reaction performance of ethylene polymerization was investigated under the conditions of 30, 50, 70 °C, and pressure of 0.6 MPa. Polyolefin products under different conditions were obtained by changing the Al/Ti ratio of the catalyst and the reaction time. The products were characterized and analyzed by gel chromatogram phy (GPC). The four catalysts under different reaction conditions were compared. Due to the effect of R group steric hindrance, the larger the steric hindrance, the higher the activity of the catalyst. Based on the experimental results, it was concluded that the activity of the [S(2-CH2-4-tBu-6-CMePh2-C6H2O)2]TiCl2 catalyst at 50 °C was up to 6.7 x 106 g PE/(mol Ti ⋅ h), and the obtained polyolefin product Mw was 1.68 x 105, with a molecular weight distribution of 3.2.
