Introduction: Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) represents a very rare and poorly understood condition that is gaining recognition as an important cause of myocardial infarction, especially among young women. The pathogenesis of SCAD is not well established yet, but several theories have been proposed.

With an integrative approach to research, this study explores the taxonomy and complex evolutionary history of birds, employing an integrative research approach in order to deconstruct the multi-faceted narrative of bird evolution. By converging molecular phylogenetics, comparative morphology, and biogeographic analyses, we conducted a comprehensive taxonomic reassessment, resulting in fine-tuning the classification of birds and revealing novel phylogenetic relationships. Our exploration extends into the fossil record, where the integration of paleontological data and molecular clock analyses illuminates key evolutionary steps. Our findings highlight a dynamic evolutionary trajectory characterized by diversification events and adaptive radiations that have intricately shaped the avian lineage across geological epochs. Advanced imaging technologies and biomechanical assessments further enrich our understanding of the morphological adaptations underlying avian ecological niches. This multidimensional research not only propels the field of avian taxonomy forward but also provides a nuanced perspective on the complicated coevolutionary dance between birds and their environments. Heart failure is a clinical syndrome associated with poor quality of life, substantial healthcare resource utilization, and premature mortality, in large part related to high rates of hospitalizations. The clinical manifestations of heart failure are similar regardless of the ejection fraction. Unlike heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, there are few therapeutic options for treating heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Molecular therapies that have shown reduced mortality and morbidity in heart failure with reduced ejection have not been proven to be effective for patients with heart failure and preserved ejection fraction. The study of pathophysiological processes involved in the production of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is the basis for identifying new therapeutic means. In this narrative review, we intend to synthesize the existing therapeutic means, but also those under research (metabolic and microRNA therapy) for the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. The objective of this study was to assess the changes in meat colour over time in Aubrac cattle of both genders. Specifically, the study concentrated on Longissimus Dorsi muscles, examining the colour values of the meat at 0, 24, and 48 hours after death. The development of the CIE Lab* colour space allows for the expression of colours in a three-dimensional system. The L*, a*, and b* values represent lightness, the red-green colour component, and the yellow-blue colour component, respectively. These values enable the evaluation and description of the colour of a meat sample. Taking into account the overall obtained results (example: the meat colour saturation recorded an average value of 14.28 ± 1.11 in males, and 17.72 ± 2.76 in females), we can appreciate that in the Aubrac cattle breed, there are significant differences between males and females, concerning all analysed parameters regarding colour (brightness, hue intensity, colour intensity of the meat, colour saturation, and Hue index) observed in the anatomical region under study. This study proposes a comprehensive investigation into identifying the spoilage threshold of refrigerated meat, focusing on skinless boneless chicken breast, packaged in two distinct methods: polyethylene bags with clips (Cryovac system) and trays wrapped in stretch film (Skin type). The analyses were initiated starting from the 7th day of storage, following the manufacturer's recommendations, and included parameters such as pH, easily hydrolyzable nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide, and formic aldehyde. Every day, we rigorously followed a protocol to examine five product units for each packaging method. The results indicate that, for 7 days, the freshness of the meat was maintained under both packaging conditions; however, subsequently, it was compromised. Nevertheless, it is noted that the chicken breast packaged in polyethylene bags with clips exhibited significantly longer freshness retention compared to the chicken breast packaged in trays with stretch film. These findings make significant contributions to understanding the process of refrigerated meat spoilage and can guide the development of improved packaging and storage strategies in the food industry. Increased interest in breeding beef cows is a result of societal trends, particularly the consumption of high-quality raw protein of animal origin. The sustainability of the beef industry requires high on-farm efficiency and productivity, as well as efficient value chains that reward achievement of target market specifications. This work reviews the most important aspects of the characterization of the Aubrac beef cattle breed, namely: productive qualities (dynamics of body weight of young animals 0-18 months, average daily gain, economic efficiency of growing breeding calves for a period of 18 months of growing, results of bulls control slaughtering), morphological parameters of the carcass (muscle tissue, fat tissue, total meat, connective tissue, bones, flashing index) and chemical composition of the meat and energy value. In the near future, this breed will be one of the most appealing options for obtaining high-quality meat without incurring prohibitively high prices, with the cattle making excellent use of our country's meadows while also easily adapting to relief and climate. Mupirocin (a mixture of A, B, C, and D pseudomonic acids—four complex, similar structures) is an antibiotic belonging to the monocarboxylic acid class, used to cure infections caused by bacteria (Gram‐positive), especially methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Its biotechnological production and separation need constant attention, as improving antibiotics is important in the pharmaceutical industry. This is the first study regarding pseudomonic acids separation through reactive extraction; the experiments were focused on finding a proper combination of extractant and diluent for optimization of the separation yield. The pH influence (4–9) and extractant (TOA and Amberlite LA‐2, 5–20 g/L) concentration dissolved in n‐heptane (green solvent) have been analyzed, obtaining the maximum extraction yield (88.78%) at pH 4, 20 g/L extractant, and 10% octanol added to the organic solvent. The addition of the phase modifier, 1‐octanol, improved the extraction yield by 2.6 times for Pseudomonic acid A due to interactions of formed complexes with the phase modifier that improves its solubility. The experimental results for determining the mechanism of the interfacial reaction showed that, regardless of the pH value and solvent polarity (modified by the addition of 1‐octanol), only one molecule of Pseudomonic acid A and extractant react at the aqueous‐organic interface. In Romania, the legislation regarding the economic-financial crime of money laundering has undergone numerous changes from the moment of its entry into force until now. At a considerable distance from the time of the fall of the communist regime in Romania, but in the immediate proximity of Romania's integration into the European Union, the Romanian legislator regulated the crime of money laundering by Law no. 656/2002 for the prevention and sanctioning of money laundering, as well as for instituting measures to prevent and combat the financing of terrorist acts. Rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease, known as viral necrotic hepatitis or hemorrhagic pneumonia, is a contagious disease with peracute or acute outcome and characterized by hyperthermia, prostration, hemorrhagic foamy discharge and mortality in 50-90% of cases. The main lesions are consisting in hemorrhagic diathesis, especially in lungs, liver and spleen. There are no evolution particularities regarding the age, breed, gender or species (domesticated or wild). The aim of this paper was consisting in describing the symptomatology and the pathology of hemorrhagic disease outbreak in rabbits. To the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Iasi were submitted for a physical examination 5 rabbits, 4 female and one male, crossbreed between Lionhead and Californian breed, 4 to 9 months old, kept in a private household, and. During the physical examination, the main symptomatology seen was consisting in sign of seizures, agitations, respiratory illness and nasal bloody and foamy discharge. Due to their bad conditions, the rabbits died shortly after the physical exam. The gross pathology was characterized by hemorrhagic diathesis, catarrhal-hemorrhagic rhinitis, laryngitis and tracheitis with the presence in lumen of a frothy and hemorrhagic liquid. The lesions seen in lungs were consisting in hemorrhagic pneumonia and edema, in liver a necrotic hepatitis, while in kidneys lesions with hemorrhagic pattern. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bacterian haemorrhagic septicemia of ciprinides is caused by Aeromonas sp. bacteria, in association sometimes to Pseudomonas sp. bacteria. A semiintensive production farm in Iasi county was taken in study; the fish affected by the disease were the carp and the crucian. Disease course was supraacute, standing pale gill, intense spots, flushing, lepidortosis, lack of scales and ulceration. Samples were taken for bacteriological and histopathological examinations, identifying bacteria of the genus Aeromonas; lesions of the skin consisted of balonizing dystrophy in association with the dermal hemosiderinoverload epidermal cells. On the histological examination a lymphohystiocytic infiltration of the bowel mainly of the chorion with diffuse character; we also observed a chorionic ectasia and subserosal lymphatic vessels bowel. Histological examination of liver revealed balonizing dystrophy of the hepatocytes. Hepatic congestion and interstitial edema were noticed. Yersiniosis or red mouth disease is a contagious infectious disease of salmonids caused by the bacterium Yersinia ruckeri, which lead to significant economic losses in trout aquaculture worldwide. Sources of infection are the sick fish and asymptomatic carriers, which eliminates yersiniosis faeces, causing contamination of water and feed. Triggers the disease was in March, the surge in water temperature values of 15-17° C. The fish affected were the younger with low immune system, the sudden departure of the winter period. Histological examinations, immunohistochemical and bacteriological made from liver, spleen, kidney and blood of the trout heart yersiniosis suspects resulted in the identification of the species bacterium Yersinia ruckeri strain, confirming the suspected diagnosis based on clinical investigations (pronounced anemia of mouth and gills mucosa, dark color of skin, bleeding on the lingual mucosa, protruding eye bleeding). Bacteriological confirmation was done by identifying the causative agent, based on morphological characters (gram negative bacilli, mobile) and the distinctive biochemical characters tested using the API rapid tests. Histological examinations revealed colonies of bacteria in liver, spleen and kidneys were confirmed to be colonies of Yersinia ruckeri by immunohistochemistry with anti-Yersinia ruckeri. Antibiogram revealed sensitivity of Yersinia ruckeri at: Oxytetracycline, Flumequin, Trimethoprim and Ceftiofur, and moderate susceptibility to Amoxicillin and Enrofloxacin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article focuses on the importance of isotopic analysis with the use of mass spectrometry (MS) in the authentication of Romanian wines in concordance with the Europeans standards. MS is used to determine the ratios of stable isotopes in biomolecules, prove the botanical and geographical origin of a wide variety of foodstuff, and authenticate and eliminate fraud. In addition isotopic analysis has made a significant contribution to wine authentication as an important problem in wine industry.
