Abstract: Abstract We report measurements of the e + e − → B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ , B B ¯ ∗ $$ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ , and B ∗ B ¯ ∗ $$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ cross sections at four energies, 10653, 10701, 10746 and 10805 MeV, using data collected by the Belle II experiment. We reconstruct one B meson in a large number of hadronic final states and use its momentum to identify the production process. In the first 2 – 5 MeV above B ∗ B ¯ ∗ $$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ threshold, the e + e − → B ∗ B ¯ ∗ $$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ cross section increases rapidly. This may indicate the presence of a pole close to the threshold.

Abstract: Abstract We present the result of a search for the charged-lepton-flavor violating decay τ − → μ − μ + μ − using a 424 fb −1 sample of data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB e + e − collider. The selection of e + e − → τ + τ − events is based on an inclusive reconstruction of the non-signal tau decay, and on a boosted decision tree to suppress background. We observe one signal candidate, which is compatible with the expectation from background processes. We set a 90% confidence level upper limit of 1.9 × 10 −8 on the branching fraction of the τ − → μ − μ + μ − decay, which is the most stringent bound to date.

Abstract: Abstract We present a measurement of the ratio R μ = B τ − → μ − ν ¯ μ ν τ / B τ − → e − ν ¯ e ν τ $$ {R}_{\mu }=\mathcal{B}\left({\tau}^{-}\to {\mu}^{-}{\overline{\nu}}_{\mu }{\nu}_{\tau}\right)/\mathcal{B}\left({\tau}^{-}\to {e}^{-}{\overline{\nu}}_e{\nu}_{\tau}\right) $$ of branching fractions B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ of the τ lepton decaying to muons or electrons using data collected with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB e + e − collider. The sample has an integrated luminosity of 362 ± 2 fb −1 at a centre-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV. Using an optimised event selection, a binned maximum likelihood fit is performed using the momentum spectra of the electron and muon candidates. The result, R μ = 0.9675 ± 0.0007 ± 0.0036, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic, is the most precise to date. It provides a stringent test of the light-lepton universality, translating to a ratio of the couplings of the muon and electron to the W boson in τ decays of 0.9974 ± 0.0019, in agreement with the standard model expectation of unity.

Abstract: Abstract We present measurements of the branching fractions of eight B ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{B}}^0 $$ → D (*)+ K − K S ∗ 0 $$ {K}_{(S)}^{\left(\ast \right)0} $$ , B − → D (*)0 K − K S ∗ 0 $$ {K}_{(S)}^{\left(\ast \right)0} $$ decay channels. The results are based on data from SuperKEKB electron-positron collisions at the Υ(4S) resonance collected with the Belle II detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 362 fb −1. The event yields are extracted from fits to the distributions of the difference between expected and observed B meson energy, and are efficiency-corrected as a function of m(K − K S ∗ 0 $$ {K}_{(S)}^{\left(\ast \right)0} $$ ) and m(D (*) K S ∗ 0 $$ {K}_{(S)}^{\left(\ast \right)0} $$ ) in order to avoid dependence on the decay model. These results include the first observation of B ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{B}}^0 $$ → D + K − K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ , B − → D* 0 K − K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ , and B ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{B}}^0 $$ → D* + K − K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ decays and a significant improvement in the precision of the other channels compared to previous measurements. The helicity-angle distributions and the invariant mass distributions of the K − K S ∗ 0 $$ {K}_{(S)}^{\left(\ast \right)0} $$ systems are compatible with quasi-two-body decays via a resonant transition with spin-parity J P = 1− for the K − K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ systems and J P = 1+ for the K − K* 0 systems. We also present measurements of the branching fractions of four B ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{B}}^0 $$ → D (*)+ D s − $$ {D}_s^{-} $$ , B − → D (*)0 D s − $$ {D}_s^{-} $$ decay channels with a precision compatible to the current world averages.

Abstract: Abstract We present an analysis of the process e + e − → π + π − Υ(nS) (where n = 1, 2, or 3) reconstructed in 19.6 fb −1 of Belle II data during a special run of the SuperKEKB collider at four energy points near the peak of the Υ(10753) resonance. By analyzing the mass distribution of the π + π − Υ(nS) system and the Born cross sections of the e + e − → π + π − Υ(nS) process, we report the first observation of Υ(10753) decays to the π + π − Υ(1S) and π + π − Υ(2S) final states, and find no evidence for decays to π + π − Υ(3S). Possible intermediate states in the π + π − Υ(1S, 2S) transitions are also investigated, and no evidence for decays proceeding via the π ∓ Z b ± $$ {\pi}^{\mp }{Z}_b^{\pm } $$ or f 0(980)Υ(nS) intermediate states is found. We measure Born cross sections for the e + e − → π + π − Υ(nS) process that, combined with results from Belle, obtain the mass and width of Υ(10753) to be (10756.6 ± 2.7 ± 0.9) MeV/c 2 and (29.0 ± 8.8 ± 1.2) MeV, respectively. The relative ratios of the Born cross sections at the Υ(10753) resonance peak are also reported for the first time.

Abstract: Abstract We report results from a study of B ± → DK ± decays followed by D decaying to the CP-even final state K + K − and CP-odd final state K S 0 π 0 $$ {K}_S^0{\pi}^0 $$ , where D is an admixture of D 0 and D ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{D}}^0 $$ states. These decays are sensitive to the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity-triangle angle ϕ 3. The results are based on a combined analysis of the final data set of 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ pairs collected by the Belle experiment and a data set of 198 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ pairs collected by the Belle II experiment, both in electron-positron collisions at the Υ(4S) resonance. We measure the CP asymmetries to be A $$ \mathcal{A} $$ CP+ = (+12.5 ± 5.8 ± 1.4)% and A $$ \mathcal{A} $$ CP− = (−16.7 ± 5.7 ± 0.6)%, and the ratios of branching fractions to be R $$ \mathcal{R} $$ CP+ = 1.164 ± 0.081 ± 0.036 and R $$ \mathcal{R} $$ CP− = 1.151 ± 0.074 ± 0.019. The first contribution to the uncertainties is statistical, and the second is systematic. The asymmetries A $$ \mathcal{A} $$ CP+ and A $$ \mathcal{A} $$ CP− have similar magnitudes and opposite signs; their difference corresponds to 3.5 standard deviations. From these values we calculate 68.3% confidence intervals of (8.5 ° < ϕ 3 < 16.5 ° ) or (84.5 ° < ϕ 3 < 95.5 ° ) or (163.3 ° < ϕ 3 < 171.5 ° ) and 0.321 < r B < 0.465.

Abstract: Abstract We report a search for the charged-lepton flavor violation in Υ(2S) → ℓ ∓ τ ± (ℓ = e, μ) decays using a 25 fb −1 Υ(2S) sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − asymmetric-energy collider. We find no evidence for a signal and set upper limits on the branching fractions ( B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ) at 90% confidence level. We obtain the most stringent upper limits: B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (Υ(2S) → μ ∓ τ ± ) < 0.23 × 10 −6 and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (Υ(2S) → e ∓ τ ± ) < 1.12 × 10 −6.

Abstract: Abstract We present a search for the lepton-flavor-violating decays B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → ℓ ∓ τ ± , where ℓ = e, μ, using the full data sample of 121 fb −1 collected at the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. We use B s 0 B ¯ s 0 $$ {B}_s^0{\overline{B}}_s^0 $$ events in which one B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ meson is reconstructed in a semileptonic decay mode and the other in the signal mode. We find no evidence for B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → ℓ ∓ τ ± decays and set upper limits on their branching fractions at 90% confidence level as B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ( B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → e ∓ τ ± ) < 14 × 10 −4 and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ( B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → μ ∓ τ ± ) < 7.3 × 10 −4. Our result represents the first upper limit on the B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → e ∓ τ ± decay rate.

Abstract: Abstract We report the first measurement of the inclusive e + e − → b b ¯ $$ b\overline{b} $$ → D s ± $$ {D}_s^{\pm } $$ X and e + e − → b b ¯ $$ b\overline{b} $$ → D 0 / D ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{D}}^0 $$ X cross sections in the energy range from 10.63 to 11.02 GeV. Based on these results, we determine σ(e + e − → B s 0 B ¯ s 0 $$ {B}_s^0{\overline{B}}_s^0 $$ X) and σ(e + e − → B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ X) in the same energy range. We measure the fraction of B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ events at Υ(10860) to be f s = ( 22.0 − 2.1 + 2.0 $$ {22.0}_{-2.1}^{+2.0} $$ )%. We determine also the ratio of the B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ inclusive branching fractions B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ( B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → D 0 / D ¯ 0 $$ {\overline{D}}^0 $$ X)/ B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ( B s 0 $$ {B}_s^0 $$ → D s ± $$ {D}_s^{\pm } $$ X) = 0.416 ± 0.018 ± 0.092. The results are obtained using the data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider.

Abstract: Abstract We measure the cross section of e + e − → η c J/ψ at the Υ(nS)(n = 1–5) on-resonance and 10.52 GeV off-resonance energy points using the full data sample collected by the Belle detector with an integrated luminosity of 955 fb −1. We also search for double charmonium production in e + e − → η c J/ψ via initial state radiation near the η c J/ψ threshold. No evident signal of the double charmonium state is found, but evidence for the e + e − → η c J/ψ process is found with a statistical significance greater than 3.3σ near the η c J/ψ threshold. The average cross section near the threshold is measured and upper limits of cross sections are set for other regions.

Abstract: Abstract Charged-lepton-flavor-violation is predicted in several new physics scenarios. We update the analysis of τ lepton decays into a light charged lepton (ℓ = e ± or μ ± ) and a vector meson (V 0 = ρ 0, ϕ, ω, K *0, or K ¯ $$ \overline{K} $$ *0) using 980 fb −1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. No significant excess of such signal events is observed, and thus 90% credibility level upper limits are set on the τ → ℓV 0 branching fractions in the range of (1.7–4.3) × 10 −8. These limits are improved by 30% on average from the previous results.

Abstract: Abstract We report the measurement of the two-photon decay width of χ c2(1P) in two-photon processes at the Belle experiment. We analyze the process γγ → χ c2(1P) → J/ψγ, J/ψ → ℓ + ℓ − (ℓ = e or μ) using a data sample of 971 fb −1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − collider. In this analysis, the product of the two-photon decay width of χ c2(1P) and the branching fraction is determined to be Γ γγ χ c 2 1 P B χ c 2 1 P → J / ψγ B J / ψ → ℓ + ℓ − = 14.8 ± 0.3 stat . ± 0.7 syst . $$ {\Gamma}_{\gamma \gamma}\left({\chi}_{c2}(1P)\right)\mathcal{B}\left({\chi}_{c2}(1P)\to J/\psi \gamma \right)\mathcal{B}\left(J/\psi \to {\ell}^{+}{\ell}^{-}\right)=14.8\pm 0.3\left(\textrm{stat}.\right)\pm 0.7\left(\textrm{syst}.\right) $$ eV, which corresponds to Γ γγ (χ c2(1P)) = 653 ± 13(stat.) ± 31(syst.) ± 17(B.R.) eV, where the third uncertainty is from B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (χ c2(1P) → J/ψγ) and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (J/ψ → ℓ + ℓ − ).

Abstract: Abstract We present a search for the charged lepton-flavor-violating decays ϒ(1S) → ℓ ± ℓ′∓ and radiative charged lepton-flavour-violating decays ϒ(1S) → γ ℓ ± ℓ′∓ [ℓ,ℓ′ = e, μ, τ] using the 158 million ϒ(2S) sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. This search uses ϒ(1S) mesons produced in ϒ(2S) → π + π − ϒ(1S) transitions. We do not find any significant signal, so we provide upper limits on the branching fractions at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract We report a measurement of the electric dipole moment of the τ lepton (dτ) using an 833 fb −1 data sample collected near the Υ(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. Using an optimal observable method, we obtain the real and imaginary parts of d τ as Re(d τ ) = (−0.62 ± 0.63) × 10 −17 ecm and Im(d τ ) = (−0.40 ± 0.32) × 10 −17 ecm, respectively. These results are consistent with null electric dipole moment at the present level of experimental sensitivity and improve the sensitivity by about a factor of three.

Abstract: Abstract We present the first measurement of the branching fraction of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) decay Λ c + $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ → pη′ with η′ → ηπ + π − , using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 981 fb −1, collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − asymmetric-energy collider. A significant Λ c + $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ → pη′ signal is observed for the first time with a signal significance of 5.4σ. The relative branching fraction with respect to the normalization mode Λ c + $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ → pK − π + is measured to be B Λ c + → pη ′ B Λ c + → pK − π + = 7.54 ± 1.32 ± 0.73 × 10 − 3 , $$ \frac{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p\eta^{\prime}\right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {pK}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)}=\left(7.54\pm 1.32\pm 0.73\right)\times {10}^{-3}, $$ where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Using the world-average value of B Λ c + → pK − π + $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {pK}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right) $$ = (6.28 ± 0.32) × 10 −2, we obtain B Λ c + → pη ′ = 4.73 ± 0.82 ± 0.46 ± 0.24 × 10 − 4 , $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p\eta^{\prime}\right)=\left(4.73\pm 0.82\pm 0.46\pm 0.24\right)\times {10}^{-4}, $$ where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and from B Λ c + → pK − π + $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {pK}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right) $$ , respectively.

Abstract: Abstract We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle angle ϕ 3 (also known as γ) using a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of B + → D ( K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ h + h − )h +, where D is either a D 0 or D ¯ $$ \overline{D} $$ 0 meson and h is either a π or K. This is the first measurement that simultaneously uses Belle and Belle II data, combining samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 711 fb −1 and 128 fb −1, respectively. All data were accumulated from energy-asymmetric e + e − collisions at a centre-of-mass energy corresponding to the mass of the Υ(4S) resonance. We measure ϕ 3 = (78.4 ± 11.4 ± 0.5 ± 1.0)°, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third is from the uncertainties on external measurements of the D-decay strong-phase parameters.

Abstract: Abstract Charged lepton flavor violation is forbidden in the Standard Model but possible in several new physics scenarios. In many of these models, the radiative decays τ ± → ℓ ± γ (ℓ = e, μ) are predicted to have a sizeable probability, making them particularly interesting channels to search at various experiments. An updated search via τ ± → ℓ ± γ using full data of the Belle experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb −1, is reported for charged lepton flavor violation. No significant excess over background predictions from the Standard Model is observed, and the upper limits on the branching fractions, B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (τ ± → μ ± γ) ≤ 4.2 × 10 −8 and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (τ ± → e ± γ) ≤ 5.6 × 10 −8, are set at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract We measure the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D 0 → π + π − η, D 0 → K + K − η, and D 0 → ϕη, using 980 fb −1 of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB e + e − collider. We obtain B D 0 → π + π − η = 1.22 ± 0.02 stat ± 0.02 syst ± 0.03 B ref × 10 − 3 , B D 0 → K + K − η = 1.80 − 0.06 + 0.07 stat ± 0.04 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , B D 0 → ϕη = 1.84 ± 0.09 stat ± 0.06 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , $$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[1.22\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.03\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-3},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[{1.80}_{-0.06}^{+0.07}\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[1.84\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\end{array}} $$ where the third uncertainty ( B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ref) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode D 0 → K − π + η. The color-suppressed decay D 0 → ϕη is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the CP asymmetries are A CP D 0 π + π − η = 0.9 ± 1.2 stat ± 0.5 syst % , A CP D 0 → K + K − η = − 1.4 ± 3.3 stat ± 1.1 syst % , ACP D 0 → ϕη = − 1.9 ± 4.4 stat ± 0.6 syst % . $$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\ {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[0.9\pm 1.2\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.5\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[-1.4\pm 3.3\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 1.1\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {} ACP\ \left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[-1.9\pm 4.4\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%.\end{array}} $$ The results for D 0 → π + π − η are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and A CP results for D 0 → K + K − η, and the ACP result for D 0 → ϕη, are the first such measurements. No evidence for CP violation is found in any of these decays.

Abstract: Abstract Using a data sample of 980 fb −1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider, we study the processes of Ξ c 0 → Λ K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to \Lambda {\overline{K}}^{\ast 0} $$ , Ξ c 0 → Σ 0 K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^0{\overline{K}}^{\ast 0} $$ , and Ξ c 0 → Σ + K ∗ − $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^{\ast -} $$ for the first time. The asymmetry parameters α Ξ c 0 → Λ K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ \alpha \left({\Xi}_c^0\to \Lambda {\overline{K}}^{\ast 0}\right) $$ and α Ξ c 0 → Σ + K ∗ − $$ \alpha \left({\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^{\ast -}\right) $$ are 0.15 ± 0.22(stat.) ± 0.04(syst.) and −0.52 ± 0.30(stat.) ± 0.02(syst.), respectively, where the uncertainties are statistical followed by systematic.

Abstract: Abstract We report the first measurement of the exclusive cross sections e + e − → B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ , e + e − → B B ¯ ∗ $$ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ , and e + e − → B ∗ B ¯ ∗ $$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ in the energy range from 10.63 GeV to 11.02 GeV. The B mesons are fully reconstructed in a large number of hadronic final states and the three channels are identified using a beam-constrained-mass variable. The shapes of the exclusive cross sections show oscillatory behavior with several maxima and minima. The results are obtained using data collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider.

Abstract: Abstract We present a search for the dark photon A′ in the B 0 → A′A′ decays, where A′ subsequently decays to e + e − , μ + μ − , and π + π − . The search is performed by analyzing 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − energy-asymmetric collider at the ϒ(4S) resonance. No signal is found in the dark photon mass range 0.01 GeV/c 2 ≤ m A′ ≤ 2.62 GeV/c 2, and we set upper limits of the branching fraction of B 0 → A′A′ at the 90% confidence level. The products of branching fractions, ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ × ℬ A ′ → e + e − 2 $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right)\times \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}{\left(A\prime \to {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\right)}^2 $$ and ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ × ℬ A ′ → μ + μ − 2 $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right)\times \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}{\left(A\prime \to {\mu}^{+}{\mu}^{-}\right)}^2 $$ , have limits of the order of 10 −8 depending on the A′ mass. Furthermore, considering A′ decay rate to each pair of charged particles, the upper limits of ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right) $$ are of the order of 10 −8–10 −5. From the upper limits of ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right) $$ , we obtain the Higgs portal coupling for each assumed dark photon and dark Higgs mass. The Higgs portal couplings are of the order of 10 −2–10 −1 at m h ′ ≃ m B 0 $$ {m}_{h\prime}\simeq {m}_{B^0} $$ ± 40 MeV/c 2 and 10 −1–1 at m h ′ ≃ m B 0 $$ {m}_{h\prime}\simeq {m}_{B^0} $$ ± 3 GeV/c 2.

Abstract: Abstract We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays B → Kμ + μ − and B → Ke + e − , and their ratio (R K ), using a data sample of 711 fb −1 that contains 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ events. The data were collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. The ratio R K is measured in five bins of dilepton invariant-mass-squared (q 2): q 2 ∈ (0.1, 4.0), (4.00, 8.12), (1.0, 6.0), (10.2, 12.8) and (> 14.18) GeV2 /c 4, along with the whole q 2 region. The R K value for q 2 ∈ (1.0, 6.0) GeV2 /c 4 is 1.03 − 0.24 + 0.28 $$ {1.03}_{-0.24}^{+0.28} $$ ± 0.01. The first and second uncertainties listed are statistical and systematic, respectively. All results for R K are consistent with Standard Model predictions. We also measure CP-averaged isospin asymmetries in the same q 2 bins. The results are consistent with a null asymmetry, with the largest difference of 2.6 standard deviations occurring for the q 2 ∈ (1.0, 6.0) GeV2 /c 4 bin in the mode with muon final states. The measured differential branching fractions, d ℬ $$ d\mathrm{\mathcal{B}} $$ /dq 2, are consistent with theoretical predictions for charged B decays, while the corresponding values are below the expectations for neutral B decays. We have also searched for lepton-flavor-violating B → Kμ ± e ∓ decays and set 90% confidence-level upper limits on the branching fraction in the range of 10 −8 for B + → K + μ ± e ∓, and B 0 → K 0 μ ± e ∓ modes.

Abstract: A specimen of garden eel, Heteroconger tomberua Castle et Randall, 1999, was collected from the traveling water screen of sea water cooling system of the Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS), Kalpakkam located along the east coast of India. Previously, H. tomberua was recorded in Fiji, Pacific Ocean. The presently reported record greatly extends the fish range to the Indian Ocean and constitutes a new addition to the ichthyofauna of India. The described specimen of H. tomberua, with its total length 55.9 cm, seems to be the largest ever found.

Abstract: Aim and Objective: An clinicopathological and survival analysis 22 cases cases of nonsquamous carcinomas of cervix from 2010- 2020. Primary Objective: Is to analyse the extent of microscopic parametrial involvement in early invasive non squamous carcinoma with respect to age, size of lesion, depth of invasion. To analyse the nodal status in clinically early invasive nonsquamous carcinoma with respect to other variable i.e age, tumor size, depth of invasion, parametrial involvement. Secondary Objective: Was to analyse the survival status, of after radical hysterectomy and adjuvant therapy. Materials and Methods: The hps confirmed cases of nonsquamous carcinoma of cervix were included in the studyand few cases were ihc confimed. Inclusion Criteria: Primary non squamous cacinoma of cervix hps confirmed. Exclusion Criteria: Squamous carcinoma and metastatic carcinoma of cervix. Methods: Regression analysis chi square, log rank test.Kaplan Meyers curve was used for survival analysis. Results: On regression analysis with dependent variable as the pelvic node was analysed with age, depth of invasion and size of lesion and parametrium,none of factors were significantly influencing the nodal status [1-3]. Similarly the parametrium positivity taken as the dependent variable was analysed with age, size of lesion, depth of invasion. None of the factors could predict the parametrial involvement. Overall 5-year survival probability for the patients is 0.770 i.e 55 months with 95% CI (0.570, 1.000). Here, the 5-year survival probability for the patients with parametrium positive status is 0.917i.e 48months 95% CI (0.773, 1.000). The log rank test for change in survival between two parametrium groups i.e., negative and positive patients gives chi-square value 3.59 (d.f.=1, p-value = 0.06), which indicates two groups do not differ in their survival. Disease free survival of the parametrium –ve/ parametium+ve(60/24 mths). The log rank test for change in survival between two parametrium groups i.e., negative and positive patients gives chi-square value 2.8 (d.f.=1, p-value = 0.1), which indicates two groups do not differ in their disease free survival.

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the idea of deferred statistical convergence using fractional difference operator of order [Formula: see text] for the sequence of fuzzy numbers. Also, we establish some relations between this idea and the strong deferred-summable fractional difference sequences of fuzzy numbers. As an application, we apply the idea of newly defined statistical convergence for proving fuzzy Korovkin-type approximation theorem.

Abstract: An absolute measurement of the Λ_{c}^{+} lifetime is reported using Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+} decays in events reconstructed from data collected by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy electron-positron collider. The total integrated luminosity of the data sample, which was collected at center-of-mass energies at or near the ϒ(4S) resonance, is 207.2 fb^{-1}. The result, τ(Λ_{c}^{+})=203.20±0.89±0.77 fs, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, is the most precise measurement to date and is consistent with previous determinations.

45. Response of Date of Sowing and Varieties on Growth and Yield of Niger under Eastern Ghat High Land Zone of Odisha

Abstract: A field experiment was carried out under All India Coordinated Research Project on Niger at Regional Research and Technology Transfer Station (OUAT), Semiliguda of Koraput district under Eastern Ghat High Land zone of Odisha in acidic soil during three consecutive kharif seasons from 2015 to 2017 to study the response of date of sowing and varieties on growth and yield of niger. The experiment consists of six dates of sowing with 15 days interval viz. 15th July, 30th July, 14th August, 29th August, 13th September and 28th September with two varieties of niger namely Deomali and Utkal Niger-150. The experiment was performed in split plot design with three replications. The pooled data for three years revealed that out of six different dates of sowing, the crop which was sown on 15th July resulted significantly the highest seed yield (563 kg ha-1) with a net monetary return (Rs. 8083 ha-1) and benefit cost ratio (1.6). Niger variety Utkal Niger-150 recorded higher seed yield and economic returns. It was discovered that the environment had a greater impact on variety yield levels than the varieties themselves. Less dry spells, no wet spells, a high number of sunshine hours and a moderate temperature were all essential environmental factors.

Abstract: Background Apixaban has been shown to significantly decrease the rate of VTE among intermediate-to-high risk patients starting chemotherapy compared to placebo. This investigation sought to determine the impact of apixaban among different subgroups of patients with cancer. Methods This is a pre-planned post-hoc analysis of the AVERT randomized controlled trial which compared apixaban to placebo for the primary prevention of VTE in ambulatory patients initiating chemotherapy. Subgroup analyses were performed based on different baseline characteristics. The primary efficacy outcome was objectively documented major VTE. Hazard ratios (HR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated using the Cox proportional hazards model to compare the treatment effect accounting for clustering at study center level. Results During the study period, major VTE events occurred in 4.2% and 10.2% of the apixaban and placebo groups, respectively (HR 0.41; 95%CI, 0.26–0.65). Characteristics associated with decreased risk of major VTE among patients on apixaban included: male sex (HR 0.25, 95%CI 0.12–0.48); weight > 90Kg (HR 0.18, 95%CI, 0.06–0.52); no prior history of VTE (HR 0.41, 95%CI 0.26–0.64); solid cancers (HR 0.30; 95%CI, 0.19–0.47); metastatic disease (HR 0.45; 95%CI, 0.26–0.78); and concurrent use of antiplatelet therapy (HR 0.18, 95%CI 0.10–0.33). Conclusions In the AVERT trial, while apixaban thromboprophylaxis reduced the risk of major VTE in most patients, patients with weight > 90 kg, solid cancers, or concurrent antiplatelet therapy experienced the greatest benefits.

Abstract: The prime objective of this paper is to define a new double difference operator with arbitrary order via which new classes of difference double sequences are introduced. Results on topological structures, dual spaces and four-dimensional matrix mappings related to the proposed difference double sequence spaces are discussed. As an application of this work, the proposed operator is being used to approximate partial derivatives of fractional orders. Some numerical examples are also given in support of the validity or the clear visualization of the results obtained.

Abstract: Recently, the generalized weighted mean difference operator of fractional order and related sequence spaces were introduced and studied by Nayak et al. (Proc Natl Acad Sci India Sect A Phys Sci 89(1):163–170, 2019). In this paper, some basic ideas on topological structures, inclusion relations and dual spaces of the defined spaces were discussed. Also, we discuss some results on matrix transformations and Hausdorff measure of noncompactness of those sequence spaces. The Hausdorff measures of noncompactness of the related operators that map an arbitrary BK-space into the classical sequence spaces are established. Furthermore, by using this measure, the characterizations of some classes of weighted mean compact operators are determined in the BK-spaces.

Abstract: We measure the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D0 → π+π−η, D0 → K+K−η, and D0 → ϕη, using 980 fb−1 of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB e+e− collider. We obtain$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[1.22\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.03\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-3},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[{1.80}_{-0.06}^{+0.07}\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[1.84\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\end{array}} $$ B D 0 → π + π − η = 1.22 ± 0.02 stat ± 0.02 syst ± 0.03 B ref × 10 − 3 , B D 0 → K + K − η = 1.80 − 0.06 + 0.07 stat ± 0.04 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , B D 0 → ϕη = 1.84 ± 0.09 stat ± 0.06 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , where the third uncertainty ($$ \mathcal{B} $$ B ref) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode D0 → K−π+η. The color-suppressed decay D0 → ϕη is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the CP asymmetries are$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\ {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[0.9\pm 1.2\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.5\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[-1.4\pm 3.3\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 1.1\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {} ACP\ \left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[-1.9\pm 4.4\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%.\end{array}} $$ A CP D 0 π + π − η = 0.9 ± 1.2 stat ± 0.5 syst % , A CP D 0 → K + K − η = − 1.4 ± 3.3 stat ± 1.1 syst % , ACP D 0 → ϕη = − 1.9 ± 4.4 stat ± 0.6 syst % . The results for D0 → π+π−η are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and ACP results for D0 → K+K−η, and the ACP result for D0 → ϕη, are the first such measurements. No evidence for CP violation is found in any of these decays.
