The features of the ethnocultural landscape of the Anabar national (Dolgan-Evenk) ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are considered. Attention is paid to the main components of cultural landscapes: local communities and traditional economy. In the study area, the retrospective analysis made it possible to identify the dynamics of the number and settlement of residents, to state the modern functioning of two rural local communities: Saskylakh and Yuryung-khainsky. It is argued that the sustainability and preservation of traditional sectors of the economy are due to the adaptation of the local population to natural landscapes. It is noted that during the XX — early XXI centuries, the traditional economic activities of the indigenous population, represented by different ethnic groups that originally inhabited the territory of the ulus, remained unchanged and, despite all the socio-economic transformations, remain vital and common for the Anabarians. The article presents the results of the analysis of a sociological survey and an associative experiment, which revealed the features of the linguistic landscape of the area under consideration, depending on different layers of self-awareness: external, with a predominance of Russian-language text in the linguistic appearance of the settlements under study; individual, with a predominance of the Yakut language in intergroup communication; and the subconscious, which revealed the dominance of the Dolgan cultural codes. It has been established that the cultural landscape of the Anabar ulus is the result of centuries-old interaction of indigenous ethnic groups inhabiting this area: Dolgans, Evenks, Yakuts and Russians.

The article considers the dynamics of the lifestyle of nomads-reindeer herders of Yakutia under the influence of transformation processes that took place during the 20th century. It is shown that changes in political and socio-economic realities have changed the environment of nomadic life twice. It is noted that in the 1930-1960-ies reindeer herding in the Republic was influenced by the policy of mass collectivization of farms and transfer to settlement residence. It is indicated that the Soviet modernization of the village has become a significant challenge for the nomads: direct administrative pressure was exerted both in the socialization and in the transfer to a sedentary lifestyle. Particularly long-term preservation of nomadism in Yakutia as a way of life determined by the peculiarities of traditional reindeer husbandry in the Republic is highlighted. The authors states that the position of the official authorities in relation to the traditional economy of nomads only as to commodity sector of the agricultural sector devalued the cultural values of nomadic communities. It is emphasized that the transformation of lifestyle caused the crisis of the nomadic family, interrupted the continuity of generations in the nomadic communities, contributed to the discrimination of the culture of nomadic ethnic groups. It is indicated that the return of nomadic tribal communities in the 1990-ies was a form of ethnic self-organization of Yakutia reindeer herders.

The article presents a pioneer attempt to analyze the role and place of women’s organizations and associations in the daily life of female residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The relevance of the article is due to both the presence of a historiographical lacuna on the topic and the existing public demand for coverage of regional women’s history and gender history. Special attention is paid to the chronological period from the turn of 20th-21st century to the present time. As a historical excursus the subjects of 1970-1980-ies were used as an example of active involvement of the Soviet women’s councils in the daily life of the Northern settlements. For a comparative analysis of changes in the women’s movement, the results of historical and sociological studies conducted in Yakutia almost 20 years ago were used. The alarming stability of some factors within women’s organizations is revealed, in particular, the age gap in the group of leaders that threatens the continuity of the women’s movement; there is also no tangible dynamics in the estimates of the female population of their own prospects for professional and career growth. The author dwells on the preserved traditions in the activities of the Union of women’s organizations as the successor of the women’s councils of Yakutia, she also reveals new trends in the development of the women’s movement. It is noted that with the quantitative growth of women’s organizations and the expansion of the palette of their work, there are few political associations among them. The article uses the materials of the project of the Union of women’s organizations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) “Women of the North: realization of social potential.”
