Objective: to define the content of concepts that formalize the problem area of the modern social and labor relations (SLR) and to offer a solution to the problem of SLR regulation from the viewpoint of rationalization factor.Methods: content analysis and systematization of scientific publications, including logical, comparative and contextual analysis; methods of dialectical cognition, system analysis and synthesis, SWOT-analysis, and modeling; structural and system-functional approach.Results: based on the analysis of foreign and Russian publications on various aspects of the SLR definition and development, the author formulated the content of concepts reflecting the said phenomenon in the logic of changes, problems and solutions. The problem area of the modern SLR interpretation was outlined, within which the rationalization potential of the labor subjects activity is not differentiated, which makes it difficult both to formalize certain modern problem aspects and to formulate relevant corrective proposals. A solution was developed that takes into account the resource of economic thinking of individuals with bounded rationality; this allows supplementing the essential construction of the rationalization concept in the context of labor activity. Using the established theoretical and methodological toolkit, the author reveals the possibilities to improve the labor agents’ adaptability under the changes in SLR and to promote the constructive interaction of SLR subjects in general. The article shows potential directions of scientific search concerning the activity of labor actors as subjects of rationalization under the changes.Scientific novelty: the article develops the concept of labor rationalization as a function of systemic economic thinking, which allows compensating for limited rationality and thus increasing constructive interaction of SLR subjects.Practical significance: the provisions developed in the article can be used in research work when considering the issues of SLR and labor rationalization and in educational activities from the viewpoint of the established competence model.

Objective: to disclosure of conceptual aspects of the competence of managing an employee’s economic security from the viewpoint of developing one’s knowledge of labor activity.Methods: to achieve the goal and solve the set tasks, we used elements of dialectical, system, competence approaches and, accordingly, methods of system analysis and synthesis, the method of formalization, and the principle of development. Results: under digitalization of economic processes, the increased role of competencies and skills of personnel, the problem of threat to economic security of employees is aggravated. At the same time, human capital becomes the leading resource in the knowledge economy. Based on the analysis of the theoretical provisions of labor theory, as well as aspects of the theory of human capital and knowledge management, the concept of knowledge of the employee's own labor activity (KEOLA) is formulated. In the context of the existing trends of understanding the phenomenon of economic security and the theory of marginal utility, as well as the proposed KEOLA concept, the notion of economic security of an employee is formulated. It is determined that KEOLA develops in the process of labor activity of an individual, and the vector of development depends on the conditions of labor experience acquisition. A modern employee must learn to manage the utility of one’s own knowledge, which is understood as KEOLA moving from the state of quasi-formalized to para-formalized knowledge in the aspect of determining its general and ultimate utility. It is established that the ability to control the knowledge utility increases through knowledge formalization. Scientific novelty: for the first time, the article reveals the conceptual aspects of the competence management of economic security of an employee from the viewpoint of KEOLA development in the aspect of general and marginal utility of one’s knowledge, which is especially important in the context of current trends of economy digitalization and employment robotization. Practical significance: the main provisions and conclusions of the article can be used, first, for the further theoretical development of substantive aspects of competence of economic security management of an employee, and second, as targets in the training of modern specialists as competent employment actors under knowledge economy.

The intensity of the modern political-economic reforms determines the larger need for individual social-economic adaptive capabilities, causing the necessity to search for the mechanisms of its promotion. The actualization of the corresponding mechanisms should be carried out not only by the state, but by an individual as well. This problem can be solved, in particular, by the subject's economic thinking. The article views the levels of economic thinking realization, ways of its forming and development, and the main stages of the state participation in creating conditions for realization of innovative constituents of economic thinking.

The modern world trends of the national economies' innovative development bring forth the demand for the mechanisms of improving its effectiveness, which suggests the correspondent organization of the modern economic thinking. However, the structure of economic thinking needs detailing, the context of which could have fulfilled the relevant social-economic programs. The article, based on analyzing the works of both Russian and foreign economists, presents the structure of modern economic thinking.

In modern information world the competitiveness of national economy to a large extent is formed by efficiency of its citizens' economic thinking. The problem of modern economic thinking formation consists in necessity to cover the great part of social active population, often lacking any economic education. In the article the author has analyzed the possibilities of economic thinking formation in the study of the non-economic disciplines pertaining to the humanities, and introduced the results of analysis after particular discipline divisions, giving some guidelines.
