Abstract

The strength functions of the πf5/2, πp3/2 and πf7/2 orbitals in neutron-rich 71Cu were obtained in a 72Zn(d,3He)71Cu proton pick-up reaction in inverse kinematics using a radioactive beam of 72Zn at 38 MeV/u. A dedicated set-up was developed to overcome the experimental challenges posed by the low cross section of the reaction and the low energy of the outgoing 3He particles. The excitation-energy spectrum was reconstructed and spectroscopic factors were obtained after analysis of the angular distributions with the finite-range Distorted-Wave Born Approximation (DWBA). The results show that unlike for the πf5/2 orbital and contrary to earlier interpretation, the πf7/2 single-particle strength distribution is not appreciably affected by the addition of neutrons beyond N=40.

Abstract

The direct component of the 60Fe(n,γ)61Fe cross section was investigated by populating the bound states of the 61Fe nucleus through the (d,pγ) transfer reaction in inverse kinematics using a radioactive beam of 60Fe at 27A MeV. The experiment was performed at GANIL using the MUST2 array and an annular double-sided silicon strip detector for the detection of the light charged particle in coincidence with the photons measured in the EXOGAM γ-ray detectors. For the first time, the spectroscopic factors of the first 3/2−, 5/2−, 1/2−, and 9/2+ states of 61Fe were deduced experimentally from an adiabatic distorted wave approximation analysis of the data. The obtained results show a very good agreement with the shell-model predictions. The calculated direct component of the (n,γ) cross section was found negligible and of about 2% of the total, indicating a dominant resonant component.

Abstract

The unbound nucleus $^{7}\mathrm{He}$ has been investigated via the reaction of a 16.8 MeV $^{6}\mathrm{He}$ radioactive ion beam on a $^{9}\mathrm{Be}$ target. The measurement of the outgoing $^{8}\mathrm{Be}$ through its well characterized two-$\ensuremath{\alpha}$ decay permitted the energy of the $^{6}\mathrm{He}+n$ system to be reconstructed. Through comparison with a complete Monte Carlo simulation incorporating $R$-matrix lineshapes, the $^{7}\mathrm{He}$ ground state was determined to lie 0.380(28) MeV above the neutron decay with a width of $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}=0.179(21)$ MeV. A neutron spectroscopic factor $\text{SF}=0.608(18)$ was extracted in agreement with the most recent calculations. Significant evidence was found for a broad resonance lying at 2.6(2) MeV above threshold with a ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}}_{\text{FWHM}}=2.3(3)$ MeV. These parameters are fully consistent with the properties of $1/{2}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ state reported by Wuosmaa et al. [Phys. Rev. C 72, 061301(R) (2005)]. Limits were also put on the presence of narrow resonances seen in earlier experiments.

Abstract

The unbound O12 nucleus was studied via the two-neutron transfer (p,t) reaction in inverse kinematics using a radioactive O14 beam at 51 MeV/u. Excitation energy spectra and differential cross sections were deduced by the missing mass method using MUST2 telescopes. We achieved much higher statistics compared to the previous experiments of O12, which allowed accurate determination of resonance energy and unambiguous spin and parity assignment. The O12 resonance previously reported using the same reaction was confirmed at an excitation energy of 1.62±0.03(stat.)±0.10(syst.). MeV and assigned spin and parity of 0+ from a distorted-wave Born approximation analysis of the differential cross sections. Mirror symmetry of O12 with respect to its neutron-rich partner Be12 is discussed from the energy difference of the second 0+ states. In addition, from systematics of known 0+ states, a distinct correlation is revealed between the mirror energy difference and the binding energy after carrying out a scaling with the mass and the charge. We show that the mirror energy difference of the observed 0+ state of O12 is highly deviated from the systematic trend of deeply bound nuclei and in line with the scaling relation found for weakly bound nuclei with a substantial 2s1/2 component. The importance of the scaling of mirror asymmetry is discussed in the context of ab initio calculations near the drip lines and universality of few-body quantum systems.

Abstract

Unstable 10C nuclei are produced as quasi-projectiles in 12C+24Mg collisions at E/A = 53 and 95 MeV. The decay of their short-lived states is studied with the INDRA multidetector array via multi-particle correlation functions. The obtained results show that heavy-ion collisions can be used as a tool to access spectroscopic information of unbound states in exotic nuclei, such as their energies and the relative importance of different sequential decay widths., Comment: 8 figures, accepted for publication in Nuclear Physics A

Abstract

We present the development of a thin large-area tracking detector. The thickness of matter intercepted by the ions is approximately 0.25 mg/cm 2 of low-mass material (aluminized Mylar). It is designed to detect low-energy heavy ions with a minimum of energy and angular straggling. We use a secondary electron emission foil coupled to an innovative large-area gaseous electron detector. The electrons are guided toward the detector by an electric and a magnetic field. We achieve good time (300 ps FWHM) and two-dimensional position (1.4 mm FWHM) resolutions over a large area (10×40 cm 2 ).

Abstract

The structure of the light exotic nucleus 8 He was investigated using direct reactions of the 8 He SPIRAL beam on a proton-rich target. The (p,p') scattering to the 2 1 + state, the (p,d) 7 He and (p,t) 6 He transfer reactions, were measured at the energy E l a b = 15.7 A.MeV . The light charged particles (p,d,t) were detected in the MUST Si-strip telescope array. The excitation spectrum of 8 He was extracted from the (p,p') reaction. Above the known 2 1 + excited state at 3.6 MeV, a second resonance was found around 5.4 MeV. The cross sections were analyzed within the coupled-reaction channels framework, using microscopic potentials. It is inferred that the 8 He ground state has a more complex neutron-skin structure than suggested by previous α + 4 n models assuming a pure ( 1 p 3 / 2 ) 4 configuration.

Abstract

We present the first missing mass spectrum of the unbound nucleus He10, measured at RIKEN using the Li11(d,He3) reaction at 50A MeV. He10 is believed to be a three-body He8+n+n resonance beyond the limit of nuclear binding. Our observation of a new decay branch, 6He+4n, and of a puzzling reduction of the Li11(d,He3)He10 cross section challenges this view. Moreover, our experiment shows a new trend in the evolution of the proton spectroscopic strength in Li isotopes deduced from the comparison of the (d,He3) cross sections on Li7,8,9,11 with theoretical predictions. We discuss new questions about physics beyond the limits of nuclear existence raised by these findings.

The excitation-energy spectrum was reconstructed and spectroscopic factors were obtained after analysis of the angular distributions with the finite-range Distorted-Wave Born Approximation (DWBA). The results show that unlike for the πf5/2πf5/2 orbital and contrary to earlier interpretation, the πf7/2πf7/2 single-particle strength distribution is not appreciably affected by the addition of neutrons beyond N=40N=40., The authors are thankful to the Ganil accelerator staff, informatics service and to the IPN design office. Abstract

Expérience au GANIL NESTER; The structure of the neutron-rich nucleus $^{47}$Ar has been investigated through the d( $^{46}$Ar, $^{47}$Ar)p transfer reaction. The radioactive beam of $^{46}$Ar at 10A·MeV was provided by the SPIRAL facility at GANIL. The protons corresponding to a neutron pick-up on bound or unbound states mechanism in $^{47}$Ar nuclei were detected at backward angles by the position-sensitive Si array-detector MUST. The transfer-like ejectiles were detected in the SPEG spectrometer. Level scheme, spin assignments and spectroscopic factors have been deduced for $^{47}$Ar and compared to shell model predictions. They suggest a slight erosion of the N = 28 shell gap from the weakening of the spin-orbit interaction arising from the f and p orbitals. These spectroscopic information are subsequently used to infer (n,$\gamma$) reaction rates in the Ar isotopic chain to understand the origin of the $^{48}$Ca/ $^{46}$Ca abnormal isotopic ratio observed in certain inclusions of meteorites.

Kinetic energy spectra and fragment velocity correlations, simulated by means of stochastic mean-field calculations, are successfully confronted with experimental data for single multifragmenting sources prepared at the same excitation energy per nucleon in 32 AMeV 129Xe+natSn and 36 AMeV 155Gd+natU central collisions. Abstract

Quantum tunnelling through a potential barrier ( such as occurs in nuclear fusion) is very sensitive to the detailed structure of the system and its intrinsic degrees of freedom(1,2). A strong increase of the fusion probability has been observed for heavy deformed nuclei(3). In light exotic nuclei such as He-6, Li-11 and Be-11 ( termed 'halo' nuclei(4)), the neutron matter extends much further than the usual nuclear interaction scale. However, understanding the effect of the neutron halo on fusion has been controversial - it could induce a large enhancement of fusion(5), but alternatively the weak binding energy of the nuclei could inhibit the process(6). Other reaction channels known as direct processes ( usually negligible for ordinary nuclei) are also important: for example, a fragment of the halo nucleus could transfer to the target nucleus through a diminished potential barrier. Here we study the reactions of the halo nucleus He-6 with a U-238 target, at energies near the fusion barrier. Most of these reactions lead to fission of the system, which we use as an experimental signature to identify the contribution of the fusion and transfer channels to the total cross-section. At energies below the fusion barrier, we find no evidence for a substantial enhancement of fusion. Rather, the ( large) fission yield is due to a two-neutron transfer reaction, with other direct processes possibly also involved.

Abstract

We study the anisotropy effects measured with INDRA at GSI in central collisions of Xe+Sn at 50 A.MeV and Au+Au at 60, 80, 100 A.MeV incident energy. The microcanonical multifragmentation model with non-spherical sources is used to simulate an incomplete shape relaxation of the multifragmenting system. This model is employed to interpret observed anisotropic distributions in the fragment size and mean kinetic energy. The data can be well reproduced if an expanding prolate source aligned along the beam direction is assumed. An either non-Hubblean or non-isotropic radial expansion is required to describe the fragment kinetic energies and their anisotropy. The qualitative similarity of the results for the studied reactions suggests that the concept of a longitudinally elongated freeze-out configuration is generally applicable for central collisions of heavy systems. After the intranuclear cascade stage, the data are better reproduced when using the Statistical Multiframentation Model as afterburner. Further checks of the model are done on data from the EOS and KAOS collaborations.

Abstract

An efficient method of energy scale calibration for the CsI(Tl) modules of the INDRA multidetector (rings 6–12) using elastic and inelastic 12C+1H scattering at E(12C)=30MeV per nucleon is presented. Background-free spectra for the binary channels are generated by requiring the coincident detection of the light and heavy ejectiles. The gain parameter of the calibration curve is obtained by fitting the proton total charge spectra to the spectra predicted with Monte-Carlo simulations using tabulated cross section data. The method has been applied in multifragmentation experiments with INDRA at GSI.

International audience; We present the first missing mass spectrum of the unbound system 10He obtained from one nucleon transfer $^{11}$Li(d,$^{3}$He) reaction at 50 A MeV. We found rather large yields for the $^{6}$He + 4n decay channel especially for higher excitation energy, which suggest the importance of the $^{6}$He + 4n structure in $^{10}$He.

Abstract

Expérience GANIL/MUST2; International audience; We have measured the 72Zn(d, 3He) 71Cu proton pickup reaction in inverse kinematics at 38 MeV/u. A dedicated setup was developed to overcome the experimental challenges posed by the low cross section of the reaction and the low energy of the outgoing 3He particles. The excitation-energy spectrum was reconstructed and spectroscopic factors were obtained after analysis of the angular distributions in the finite-range Distorted-Wave Born Approximation (DWBA). The results show that unlike for the πf5/2 orbital, the πf7/2 single-particle strength is not appreciably affected by the addition of neutrons beyond N = 40.

Abstract

Artículo escrito por un elevado número de autores, solo se referencian el que aparece en primer lugar, el nombre del grupo de colaboración, si le hubiere, y los autores pertenecientes a la UAM, Energies and spectroscopic factors of the first 7/2−, 3/2−, 1/2−, and 5/2− states in the 35Si21 nucleus were determined by means of the (d, p) transfer reaction in inverse kinematics at GANIL using the MUST2 and EXOGAM detectors. By comparing the spectroscopic information on the 35Si and 37S isotones, a reduction of the p3/2-p1/2 spin-orbit splitting by about 25% is proposed, while the f7/2-f5/2 spin-orbit splitting seems to remain constant. These features, derived after having unfolded nuclear correlations using shell model calculations, have been attributed to the properties of the two-body spin-orbit interaction, the amplitude of which is derived for the first time in an atomic nucleus. The present results, remarkably well reproduced by using several realistic nucleon-nucleon forces, provide a unique touchstone for the modeling of the spin-orbit interaction in atomic nuclei

Abstract

Matière Nucléaire; International audience; The prompt component at intermediate velocity of light charged particles is investigated. An improved coalescence model coupled to the intra-nuclear cascade code ISABEL is used to obtain light complex particle energy spectra and multiplicities as a function of impact parameter. The results are compared with experimental data from the 36Ar + 58Ni experiment at 95 MeV/nucleon, performed with the INDRA 4π detection system. The calculated prompt component is found to rather well reproduce proton spectra. For complex light charged particles the calculated components well populate the high energy part of spectra. Prompt emission can therefore explain the large transverse energies experimentally observed at mid-rapidity.

Abstract

Matière Nucléaire, GANIL E209, GANIL E210; International audience; Reaction mechanisms have been studied for two nearly symmetrical systems of different total mass, between 25 and 74 AMeV. It is shown that collisions are mostly binary whatever the system mass and the bombarding energy. From the slowing-down of the partners, it is possible to establish the continuous evolution from quasielastic to (completely) damped collisions. It turns out that results are independent of the total system mass if involved energies are expressed in AMeV. The occurrence of mid-rapidity emission is also considered and may be used to establish a link between mechanisms observed at low and high bombarding energy. Part of it corresponds to a fast decay of outgoing partners.

International audience; We have measured the $^{6}$He(p, t)$\alpha$ transfer reaction in inverse kinematics at 25MeV/nucleon. The data were compared to DWBA calculations in order to extract the spectroscopic amplitudes for $\alpha$+2n and t + t configurations in the ground state of $^{6}$He.

Abstract

Single nucleon pickup reactions were performed with a 18.1 MeV/nucleon (14)O beam on a deuterium target. Within the coupled reaction channel framework, the measured cross sections were compared to theoretical predictions and analyzed using both phenomenological and microscopic overlap functions. Abstract

The 8He(d,p) reaction was studied in inverse kinematics at 15.4A MeV using the MUST2 Si-CsI array in order to shed light on the level structure of 9He. The well known 16O(d,p)17O reaction, performed here in reverse kinematics, was used as a test to validate the experimental methods. The 9He missing mass spectrum was deduced from the kinetic energies and emission angles of the recoiling protons. Several structures were observed above the neutron-emission threshold and the angular distributions were used to deduce the multipolarity of the transitions. This work confirms that the ground state of 9He is located very close to the neutron threshold of 8He and supports the occurrence of parity inversion in 9He., Exp\'erience GANIL/SPIRAL1/MUST2

Abstract

We present an innovative detector with a large working area (100×400 mm 2 ) for ion tracking. This device is based on the detection of secondary electron emitted by a thin foil placed at 45° to the direction of the beam. Secondary electrons are accelerated and focused by an electric and a magnetic field toward a low-pressure gaseous chamber. Time and position ( X and Y ) are measured. The typical resolutions (FWHM) are 300 ps and 1.5 mm , respectively.

Abstract

International audience; Proton elastic scatterings of neutron-rich nuclei 23F and 25F have been measured for the first time at 289 and 298 MeV/nucleon, respectively, using the MUST2 silicon strip detector array and RIBF facility at RIKEN. The differential cross section of 25F was found to be smaller than the calculation with the global potential by Koning and Deraloche. The small cross section of 25F can be well reproduced by an optical model calculation with a shallow and long-tail potential.

Abstract

We report on the single neutron and proton removal reactions from unstable nuclei with large asymmetry dS = Sn - Sp at incident energies below 80 MeV/nucleon. Strong non-sudden effects are observed in the case of deeply-bound-nucleon removal. The corresponding parallel momentum distributions exhibit an abrupt cutoff at high momentum that corresponds to an energy threshold occurring when the incident energy per particle is of comparable magnitude to the nucleon separation energy. A large low momentum tail is related to both dissipative processes and the dynamics of the nucleon removal process. Abstract

The quenching of the N=20 shell gap in neutron-rich nuclei is investigated by studying the single-particle structure of 27Ne via neutron transfer using a 26Ne beam. Two low-lying negative-parity intruder states have been observed, the lowest of which is identified as Jπ=3/2−, confirming earlier speculations. A level identified as 7/2− is observed higher in energy than the 3/2−, contrary to the ordering at β-stability and at an energy significantly different from the predictions of previous shell-model calculations. The measured energies and deduced spectroscopic factors are well reproduced in full (0,1)-ℏω 0s-0p-0d-1s-0f-1p calculations in which there is a significant ad hoc reduction (∼0.7 MeV) in the N=20 shell gap.

Abstract

The structure of the $^{44}$S nucleus has been studied at GANIL through the one proton knock-out reaction from a $^{45}$Cl secondary beam at 42 A$\cdot$MeV. The $\gamma$ rays following the de-excitation of $^{44}$S were detected in flight using the 70 BaF${_2}$ detectors of the Ch\^{a}teau de Cristal array. An exhaustive $\gamma\gamma$-coincidence analysis allowed an unambiguous construction of the level scheme up to an excitation energy of 3301 keV. The existence of the spherical 2$^+_2$ state is confirmed and three new $\gamma$-ray transitions connecting the prolate deformed 2$^+_1$ level were observed. Comparison of the experimental results to shell model calculations further supports a prolate and spherical shape coexistence with a large mixing of states built on the ground state band in $^{44}$S., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in Physical Review C

Abstract

Expérience GANIL/SPIRAL/MUST2/E525S; The low-lying spectroscopy of 6He was investigated via the 2-neutron transfer reaction p(8He, t) with the 8He beam delivered by the SPIRAL facility at 15.4 A MeV. The light charged particles produced by the direct reactions were measured using the MUST2 Si-strip telescope array. Above the known 2+ state, two new resonances were observed: at E∗ = 2.6±0.3 MeV (width Γ = 1.6±0.4 MeV) and at 5.3±0.3 MeV with Γ = 2 ± 1 MeV. Through the analysis of the angular distributions, they correspond to a 2+ state and to an L = 1 state, respectively. These new states, challenging the nuclear theories, could be used as benchmarks for checking the microscopic inputs of the newly improved structure models, and should trigger development of models including the treatments of both core excitation and continuum coupling effects.

Abstract

RIBF57 Collaboration; International audience; The drip-line 24O nucleus combines several properties which are challenging our understanding of the nuclear structure: it has no bound excited state, and is expected as a neutron-skin nucleus with low-lying resonances. It presents a new shell gap effect at N = 16. To investigate the neutron excitations and the characteristics of this gap, the proton elastic and inelastic scattering by 24O were measured, using the light charged particle spectroscopy technique; the excitation energies of the unbound states were deduced via missing mass method. The experiment was carried out at the RIBF facility in the BigRIPS line, combining the unique intensities of the 24O beam with the state-of-the-art Si-telescope array MUST2. The analysis and the preliminary results are discussed.

Abstract

Today with the advent of intense radioactive beams, we have access to nuclear spectroscopy and reaction studies of nuclei far from stability. It has been demonstrated that Time Projection Chambers (TPC) method can be very effective as an active target for such studies yielding low thresholds, efficiency and luminosity [1]. To this end a Generic Electronic system for TPCs (GET) is in development and will cover small to medium sized instrumentation (64 to 32 k channels) with a relatively wide charge dynamic ranges for event rates of up to 1 kHz. The 64-channel AGET (ASIC for GET) front-end circuit has been developed to perform the amplification, detection and analog storage of the shaped detector signal before its digitization by an external 12-bit ADC. This design offers a large flexibility in sampling frequency (100 MHz max.), peaking time (16 values from 50 ns to 1 µs), gain (4 ranges from 120 fC to 10 pC per channel) and signal polarity (negative or positive). Fabricated using 0.35 µm CMOS technology, the AGET prototype is under test and the first results are presented.

International audience; The characteristics of the new N = 16 shell gap at the neutron drip-line can be deduced from the neutron excitations of 24O. An experiment was carried out to investigate the unbound excited states of 24O using the proton elastic and inelastic proton scattering. It was performed in the BigRIPS line and combines the unique intensities of the RIBF 24O beam with the state-of-the-art particle detector array MUST2. The method is explained.

Abstract

Expérience GANIL/SISSI/SPEG; International audience; The structure of the very neutron-rich nuclei 39Si and 41Si has been investigated via in-beam γ -ray spectroscopy and few-nucleon knockout from radioactive beams. The observation of low-lying states in 39Si is a clear evidence for a drastic lowering of the intruder neutron 3/2− state when going from Z = 20 to Z = 14. The energy of the only γ -ray transition (672(14) keV) observed in 41Si is significantly lower than that of the first excited state in 47Ca (2014 keV) suggesting a deformed ground state for 41Si. These results are consistent with large-scale shell-model calculations implying that strong proton- neutron correlations are the main reason for the lowering of the intruder configurations over the normal ones.

International audience; Ar+Ni reactions have been studied to fix some constraints on the isospin dependence of the level density. The coupling of INDRA and VAMOS apparatuses allows to obtain highly exclusive data . The preliminary results on the Ar+Ni fusion-evaporation cross sections suggest a dependence on the entrance channel mass asymmetry.

Abstract

6 pags.; 6 figs., Reactions of a 16.8 MeV 6He beam with a 9Be target have been investigated using highly segmented detector setup covering a large solid angle. Data on elastic and quasi-free scattering, as well as two-neutron transfer, are reported. The results for elastic scattering are fairly well reproduced by a CDCC calculation, in agreement with the interpretation of a breakup effect already observed for the scattering of 6He on other light targets. Exotic quasi-free scattering of 6He on α-cluster in 9Be is clearly observed. Inclusive and coincident events were used to extract information on the two-neutron transfer reaction 9Be(6He, α)11Be. Abstract

INTEGRAL and RHESSI spacecrafts recently detected the 1.173 and 1.333 MeV γ‐ray lines coming from the 60Fe—60Co—60Ni radioactive decay chain. The long lived isotope 60Fe (T1/2 = 1.5 106y) is believed to be primarily produced in core‐collapse supernovae. However the interpretation of the observations is difficult because of the large uncertainties concerning 59Fe(n,γ)60Fe and 60Fe(n,γ)61Fe cross sections, involved in 60Fe nucleosynthesis.The direct component of the 60Fe(n,γ)61Fe reaction was studied indirectly via the d(60Fe,pγ)61Fe transfer reaction. The experiment performed in GANIL in spring 2009 will allow to determine the excitation energies of the populated excited states of 61Fe and for the first time their spectroscopic factors as well as their transfer angular momentum.I will first give an overview of the astrophysical context, then I will describe the experimental setup and finally present some preliminary results of the ongoing analysis.

Abstract

An excited state in the proton-rich unbound nucleus $^{12}\mathrm{O}$ was identified at 1.8(4) MeV via missing-mass spectroscopy with the $^{14}\mathrm{O}(p,t)$ reaction at $51\text{ }\text{ }A\mathrm{MeV}$. The spin-parity of the state was determined to be ${0}^{+}$ or ${2}^{+}$ by comparing the measured differential cross sections with distorted-wave calculations. The lowered location of the excited state in $^{12}\mathrm{O}$ indicates the breakdown of the major shell closure at $Z=8$ near the proton drip line. This demonstrates the persistence of mirror symmetry in the disappearance of the magic number 8 between $^{12}\mathrm{O}$ and its mirror partner $^{12}\mathrm{Be}$.

Abstract

The $^{44}\mathrm{Ar}$($d,p$)$^{45}\mathrm{Ar}$ neutron transfer reaction was performed at $10A$ MeV. Measured excitation energies, deduced angular momenta, and spectroscopic factors of the states populated in $^{45}\mathrm{Ar}$ are reported. A satisfactory description of these properties is achieved in the shell model framework using a new $\mathit{sdpf}$ interaction. The model analysis is extended to more exotic even-$Z$ nuclei down to ${}_{14}^{41}{\mathrm{Si}}_{27}$ to study how collectivity impacts the low-lying structure of $N=27$ neutron-rich nuclei.

Abstract

Reaction mechanism analyses performed with a $4\ensuremath{\pi}$ detector for the systems $^{208}\mathrm{Pb}+\mathrm{Ge}$, $^{238}\mathrm{U}+\mathrm{Ni}$ and $^{238}\mathrm{U}+\mathrm{Ge}$, combined with analyses of the associated reaction time distributions, provide us with evidence for nuclei with $Z=120$ and 124 living longer than ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}18}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{s}$ and arising from highly excited compound nuclei. By contrast, the neutron deficient nuclei with $Z=114$ possibly formed in $^{208}\mathrm{Pb}+\mathrm{Ge}$ reactions have shorter lifetimes, close to or below the sensitivity limit of the experiment.
