Abstract

Artikel in mehreren Sprachen: Deutsch und Englisch Aim: This revised guideline was coordinated by the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGGG), the Austrian Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (OEGGG) and the Swiss Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (SGGG). It aims to improve the prediction, prevention, and management of preterm birth, based on evidence from the current literature, the experience of members of the guidelines commission, and the viewpoint of self-help organizations. Methods: The members of the contributing professional societies and organizations developed recommendations and statements based on international literature. The recommendations and statements were presented and adopted using a formal process (structured consensus conferences with neutral moderation, written Delphi vote). Recommendations: Part 1 of this short version of the guideline presents statements and recommendations on the epidemiology, etiology, prediction, and primary and secondary prevention of preterm birth. Ziel: Überarbeitete Leitlinie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe (DGGG), der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe (OEGGG) und der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe (SGGG). Ziel der Leitlinie ist es, die Prädiktion, die Prävention und das Management der Frühgeburt anhand der aktuellen Literatur, der Erfahrung der Mitglieder der Leitlinienkommission einschließlich der Sicht der Selbsthilfe evidenzbasiert zu verbessern. Abstract

Aims: This is an official guideline of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGGG), the Austrian Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (ÖGGG) and the Swiss Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (SGGG). Abstract

Im Rahmen einer retrospektiven Befragung von 251 Wöchnerinnen wurden Geburtserleben sowie Zufriedenheit erfasst und mit den Items einer erweiterten Perinatalerhebung korreliert. Es findet sich ein Zusammenhang zwischen dem Geburtserleben einerseits und andererseits den Interventionen, der Parität, der Betreuung und dem Gefühl von Kontrolle, der Dauer und dem Schmerz in Abhängigkeit von Ängsten und Erwartungen. Vernetzte, psychosozial orientierte Versorgungsmodelle rund um Schwangerschaft und Geburt könnten die Erlebnisqualität verbessern. Until now, end results within the scope of perinatal statistics have been taken more into consideration rather than the quality assurance. Within the boundaries of retrospective questioning of 251 post-natal patients, their experience and satisfaction were recorded and supplemented with item of extend perinatal statistics. On the one side, there is a connection between the experience during delivery and the intervention, equality, care and the feeling of being in control, the duration and the pain determined by fear and expectations on the other side. Linked psycho-social orientated care modules taking the whole process of pregnancy and delivery into account, could improve the quality of experience.

35. Progressive Muscle Relaxation Training During Pregnancy: Effects on Mental State, Delivery and Labour Pain - a Prospective Study.

Abstract

Introduction: Progressive muscle relaxation is a widely used technique for relaxation, but studies are rare about efficacy on pregnancy and perinatal outcomes. Aim of our study was to determine whether progressive muscle relaxation affects anxiety and depression levels of pregnant women, pregnancy outcomes, labour pain and analgesic requirements., Materials and Methods: 156 pregnant women were enrolled in a prospective non-randomized controlled cohort study. The control group received standard antenatal care and classes only, while the intervention group additionally received progressive muscle relaxation training once a week for six weeks. Anxiety, depression and current strain were measured in a pretest-posttest experimental design using self-report scales at baseline (1 st survey), 5 weeks later (2 nd survey) and during puerperium (3 rd survey). Numeric Rating scales were used for measuring labour pain and satisfaction with analgesic treatment in the 3 rd survey., Results: Fifty complete questionnaires from each group were analysed. There were no differences in mental status between the groups at baseline. Progressive muscle relaxation training significantly reduced depression levels. Trait anxiety, reflecting a person's basic anxiety decreased significantly in both groups during puerperium. No differences in pregnancy outcomes, labour pain and analgesic requirements could be shown within both groups in general. Nonetheless, women attending more than five progressive muscle relaxation courses reported significantly less labour pain within the group and compared to controls., Conclusion: Pregnant women could benefit from progressive muscle relaxation training if used continuously.
