Este trabajo se centra en la mejora de las propiedades intrínsecas de un suelo arcilloso (propiedades geotécnicas, morfológicas, químicas, etc.) mediante su estabilización con distintos aglomerantes (cal, cemento y ceniza volcánica). La finalidad de esta investigación es la de valoración de la viabilidad del uso de binders alternativos en obras que requieran la estabilización del terreno, de modo que los elementos empleados sean ecológicamente sostenibles (por ejemplo, reduciendo el impacto ambiental mediante la reducción de residuos en vertedero o reduciendo las emisiones de CO2) para obtener unos resultados comparables o mejores que los obtenidos con los estabilizantes tradicionales, tales como la cal o cemento. Para ello, se han llevado a cabo una batería de ensayos de laboratorio, para caracterizar las diferentes materias primas y muestras de suelo estabilizadas y mejoradas con diferentes proporciones de aglomerantes, analizando los materiales químicamente (DRX, FRX, Microscopía Óptica, SEM, pH y Conductividad) y determinando las propiedades, índices y parámetros resistentes y de deformación (límites de Atterberg, peso específico de las partículas sólidas, granulometría, ensayos de compactación, corte directo, resistencia a compresión simple y edómetros), con el objetivo de establecer una comparativa de estos que permita evaluar la mejora obtenida de las mezclas de materiales. La caracterización química y mecánica ha corroborado una correlación directa entre la adición de binders y la mejora de las propiedades geotécnicas del suelo original. Además, se ha comprobado que el uso de cenizas volcánicas es ecológica y geotécnicamente viable, puesto que con aproximadamente una sustitución del 30% (+ 1,5% de cal), se obtienen resultados equiparables a la adición del 1% de cemento (o del 1% de cal si se emplea un 20% de ceniza volcánica), observándose una reducción del 50% en los asientos experimentados en la muestra y un descenso del índice de plasticidad entre el 10 y

We aim to examine the incidences, clinical characteristics, and in-hospital outcomes of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) patients hospitalized with urinary tract infections (UTIs) in Spain and to identify the factors associated with in-hospital mortality (IHM). A retrospective observational study was carried out with a sample that included all adult patients who were hospitalized for UTIs between 2001 and 2018 and collected in the Spanish National Health System Hospital Discharge Database. We identified 850,276 patients with UTIs (25.49% with T2DM). The incidence of UTIs increased in patients with and without diabetes from 290.76 and 74.79 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the period from year 2001 to year 2003 to 568.45 and 144.0 in the period from 2016 to 2018, respectively (p < 0.001). Adjusted incidence of UTIs was higher in T2DM patients (incidence rate ratio (IRR) 4.36; 95% CI 4.35-4.39). The multivariable analysis showed a significant reduction in the IHM over time for men and women with T2DM. In T2DM, patients' higher IHM was associated with older age, comorbidities, and Staphylococcus aureus isolation. Women with T2DM had a higher risk of dying than men. The risk of IHM with an episode of UTIs was independent of the presence of T2DM (odds ratio (OR) 0.97; 95% CI 0.91-1.01). The online version contains supplementary material available at https://doi.org/10.1007/s00431-023-04873-w, The purpose of this study is to describe and assess changes in incidence, clinical conditions, use of mechanical ventilation, length of hospital stay (LOHS), and in-hospital mortality (IHM) among children hospitalized with asthma in Spain from 2011 to 2020. We analyzed children aged 0 to 15 years hospitalized with an ICD code for asthma included in the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database (SNHDD). The analysis was conducted for asthma as the primary diagnosis and with asthma in any diagnosis position. Joinpoint regression was used to assess time trends in incidence. We included a total of 85,664 children hospitalized with asthma; of these, 46,727 (54.55%) had asthma coded as the primary diagnosis. The number of boys was higher than the number of girls, irrespective of age group or diagnostic position. The frequency of asthma as primary diagnosis decreased from 55.7% in 2011 to 43.96% in 2020 (p < 0.001). The incidence of hospitalizations because of asthma decreased significantly from 2011 to 2020, with a faster decrease from 2018 onwards. Over time, the proportion of older children increased. In the year 2020, only 55 children had codes for asthma and COVID-19 in their discharge report, and this infection had no effect on hospitalizations this year. A significant increase in the use of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) was observed over time. Irrespective of the diagnostic position, LOHS and IHM remained stable over time, with the IHM under 0.1%. Conclusion: Our results show a decrease in the incidence of hospital admissions with asthma either as the primary diagnosis or in any position. The age of children hospitalized seems to be increasing as the use of NIV. Better management of the disease from primary care and the emergency department as is the use of NIV could explain the reduction in incidence. Background: Worldwide, asthma, back pain, and migraine are major public health problems due to their high prevalence, effect on the quality of life, and huge economic costs. The association of asthma with an increased risk of these types of pain has been suggested; however, no conclusive results have been obtained to date. The aims of our study were (1) to describe and compare the prevalence of three types of pain localization, namely migraine or frequent headaches (MFH), chronic neck pain (CNP), and chronic low back pain (CLBP), in adults with and without asthma in Spain during the years 2014 and 2020 and (2) to identify which variables were associated with the presence of these types of pain in adults with asthma. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional study and a case-control study were conducted. The 2014 and 2020 European Health Interview Surveys for Spain were used as the data source. (3) Results: A total of 2463 individuals were interviewed and had self-reported asthma. In this group, the prevalence of pain was high, with CLBP (30.9%) being the most common, followed by CNP (26.7%) and MFH (13.3%). All types of pain remained stable from 2014 to 2020. In both surveys, the women with asthma reported a remarkably higher prevalence of all the types of pain analyzed than the men with asthma. After matching by age and sex, the prevalence of all pain types was significantly higher in the patients with asthma than in the matched individuals without asthma. Multivariable adjustment showed that asthma increased the likelihood of CNP by 1.45 times (OR 1.45; 95% CI 1.19-1.76), that of CLBP by 1.37 times (OR 1.37; 95% CI 1.11-1.64), and that of MFH by 1.19 times (OR 1.19; 95% CI 1.02-1.51). The three types of pain analyzed were associated with the female sex and worse self-rated health. Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) comprises a group of rare skin diseases. We assessed diagnostic procedures, comorbidity profiles, length of hospital stay (LOHS), costs, and in-hospital mortality (IHM) associated with EB. (2) Methods: A retrospective, population-based observational study was performed using the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database. Hospitalized patients with EB in Spain were identified for the period 2016 to 2021. (3) Results: A total of 677 hospitalizations were identified among 342 patients with a diagnosis of EB. Fifty percent of patients had at least one readmission during the 6-year follow-up. Notably, rehospitalizations were more common among patients aged 2-17 years. The most prevalent comorbidity was digestive disorders, which were associated with the frequency of esophageal dilatation procedures and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. The longest LOHS was recorded for the 0- to 1-year age group. IHM increased with age, and the difference was statistically significant. The prevalence of malignant neoplasm was 36.88%, with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma being the most frequent. The overall cost per hospitalized patient was estimated to be EUR 10,895.22 (SD EUR 13,394.81), with significant variations between age groups. (4) Conclusions: Readmissions are very frequent among people with EB. We observed a higher LOHS in the 0- to 1-year age group, while the highest rates of IHM were observed in patients older than 50 years. Objectives. To assess the prevalence of chronic neck pain (CNP), chronic low back pain (CLBP), and migraine headache (MH) in the Spanish population and to identify sociodemographic and health-related variables associated with CNP, CLBP, and MH. Design. Observational study. Setting. Spain. Subjects. A total of 22,511 persons 18 years of age or older (10,304 males and 12,207 females) who participated in the 2017 Spanish National Health Survey. Methods. Stratified three-stage sampling was applied. CNP, CLBP, and MH were the dependent variables. The analysis was conducted separately by gender. Sociodemographic features, self-perceived health status, lifestyle habits, comorbidities, and pain features were analyzed by using logistic regression models. Results. Females reported a higher prevalence of CNP, CLBP, and MH (P < 0.001) than males. For both sexes, anxiety and/or depression and poor self-rated health were associated with a significantly increased prevalence of CNP, CLBP, and MH. For CNP and CLBP, the identified associated factors were older age and limitations to usual activity. For CNP and MH, the most common associated factor was comorbid respiratory disease. Conclusions. Background: We analyzed the association between atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter (AF) and in-hospital mortality (IHM) among patients who underwent solid organ transplants in Spain from 2004 to 2021. (2) Methods: We gathered information from all hospital admissions for lung, liver, kidney, and heart transplants. (3) Results: A total of 71,827 transplants were analyzed (4598 lung transplants; 18,127 liver transplants; 45,262 kidney transplants; and 4734 heart transplants). One third of these were for women. Overall, the prevalence of AF was 6.8% and increased from 5.3% in 2004-2009 to 8.6% in 2016-2021. The highest prevalence of AF was found for heart transplants (24.0%), followed by lung transplants (14.7%). The rates for kidney and liver transplants were 5.3% and 4.1%, respectively. The AF code increased over time for all of the transplants analyzed (p < 0.001). The patients' IHM decreased significantly from 2004-2009 to 2016-2021 for all types of transplants. AF was associated with a higher IHM for all of the types of transplants analyzed, except for heart transplants. (4) Conclusions: The prevalence of AF among patients admitted for solid organ transplants was highest for those who underwent heart transplants. The mortality rate during the patients' admission for lung, liver, kidney, or heart transplants decreased over time. Background: To examine the incidence, clinical characteristics, and in-hospital outcomes of pulmonary embolism (PE) among hospitalized patients with or without chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in Spain, and to identify predictors of in-hospital-mortality (IHM) after PE among patients with and without COPD. Methods: We included all patients aged ≥ 40 years who were hospitalised for PE between 2016 and 2018. Data were collected from the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database. Results: We identified 47,190 hospitalizations for PE during the study period, 7.49% with COPD. Adjusted incidence of PE was higher in COPD patients than in those without COPD (IRR 1.16; 95%CI 1.13-1.19). Crude IHM was significantly higher in PE hospitalized patients with COPD than in those without COPD (9.86% vs 3.59%; p<0.001). Predictor factors of IHM in COPD patients with PE included older age, higher Charlson co morbidity index, atrial fibrillation, massive PE and dependence on oxygen prior to hospital admission. However, obesity was associated with lower IHM. For PE hospitalized patients, suffering COPD increased the probability of dying in the hospital (adjusted OR 2.84; 95%CI 2.27-3.55). Conclusions: Our results revealed that incidence of PE was higher in COPD patients than in those without COPD. Background: To describe and compare incidence, characteristics and outcomes of postoperative pneumonia among patients with or without COPD. Methods: We included hospitalized patients aged ≥40 years whose medical diagnosis included pneumonia and ventilator-associated pneumonia in the secondary's diagnosis field and who were discharged from Spanish hospitals from 2001 to 2015. Irrespectively of the position at the procedures coding list, we retrieved data about the type of surgical procedures using the enhanced ICD-9-CM codes. We grouped admissions by COPD status. The data were collected from the National Hospital Discharge Database. Results: We included 117,665 hospitalizations of patients that developed postoperative pneumonia (18.06% of them had COPD). The incidence of postoperative pneumonia was significantly higher in COPD patients than in those without COPD (IRR 1.93, 95%CI 1.68–2.24). In hospital-mortality (IHM) was significantly lower in the first group of patients (29.79% vs 31.43%, p < 0.05). Factors independently associated with IHM, among COPD and non-COPD patients, were older age, more comorbidities, mechanical ventilation, pleural drainage tube, red blood cell transfusion, dialysis and emergency room admission. Time trend analysis showed a significant de crease in IHM from 2001 to 2015. COPD was associated with lower IHM (OR 0.91, 95%CI 0.88–0.95). Conclusions: The incidence of postoperative pneumonia was higher in COPD patients than in those without this disease. However, IHM was lower among COPD patients. Background: We examined trends in the incidence of ventilator support with noninvasive ventilation (NIV) or invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) among patients hospitalized in Spain from 2001 to 2015. We also assessed in-hospital mortality (IHM) after receiving these types of ventilator support. Methods: This study was an observational retrospective epidemiological study. Our data source was the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database. Results: In total, 1,031,497 patients received ventilator support in Spain over the study period. NIV use increased from 18.8 patients per 100.000 inhabitants in 2001 to 108.7 in 2015. IMV utilization increased significantly from 2001 to 2003 and then decreased from 2003 until 2015. Patients who required NIV had the highest mean Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) score. Patients who received IMV had the highest in-hospital mortality. Factors associated with an increased risk for IHM were sex, age, conditions included in the CCI (except for COPD and diabetes), haemodialysis, presence of a peripheral arterial catheter, presence of a central venous catheter, readmission and emergency room admission. Undergoing a surgical procedure was a risk factor only for IMV. IHM decreased significantly from 2001 to 2015 in patients who underwent NIV or IMV. Conclusions: We identified an increase in the utilization of NIV over time, whereas use of IMV decreased from 2003 until 2015 after an initial increase from 2001 to 2003. The aim of this study is to examine trends from 2016 to 2019 in the incidence of hospitalizations and in-hospital mortality (IHM) of subjects<18 years with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), assessing possible sex diferences. We used Spanish national hospital discharge data to select all patients<18 years with CAP. We identifed 43,511 children (53% boys) hospitalized with CAP. The incidence of CAP was signifcantly higher in boys than in girls, with an age-adjusted incidence rate ratio of 1.05 (95%CI 1.03–1.07) for boys compared to girls, and rose from 126 per 100,000 children in 2016 to 131 in 2019 (p<0.0001). There were no sex diferences in isolated pathogens, comorbidities, length of hospital stay, or IHM. Variables independently associated with IHM were age 10 to 17 years, congenital heart disease, neurological diseases, and use of invasive mechanical ventilation. Asthma was a protective factor for IHM among girls. Conclusion: The incidence of hospital admissions for CAP was higher among boys than among girls and rose signifcantly from 2016 to 2019. There were no sex diferences in hospital outcomes. Age 10 to 17 years, congenital heart disease, neurological diseases, and use of mechanical ventilation were risk factors for IHM in both sexes, while asthma was a protective factor among girls. Aims: We aim to compare the incidence and in-hospital outcomes of communityacquired pneumonia (CAP), ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and nonventilator hospital-acquired pneumonia (NV-HAP) according to gender. Methods: This was a retrospective observational epidemiological study using the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database for the years 2016 and 2017. Results: Of 277 785 hospital admissions, CAP was identified in 257 455 (41.04% females), VAP was identified in 3261 (30.42% females) and NV-HAP was identified in 17 069 (36.58% females). The incidence of all types of pneumonia was higher amongst males (CAP: incidence rate ratio [IRR] 1.05, 95% CI 1.03-1.06; VAP: IRR 1.36, 95% CI 1.26-1.46; and NV-HAP: IRR 1.16, 95% CI 1.14-1.18). The crude in-hospital mortality (IHM) rate for CAP was 11.44% in females and 11.80% in males (P = .005); for VAP IHM, the rate was approximately 35% in patients of both genders and for NV-HAP IHM, the rate was 23.97% for females and 26.40% for males (P < .001). After multivariable adjustment, in patients of both genders, older age and comorbidities were factors associated with IHM in the three types of pneumonia analysed. Female gender was a risk factor for IHM after VAP (OR 1.24; 95% CI 1.06-1.44), and no gender differences were found for CAP or NV-HAP. Background: The aims of this study were to examine trends in the incidence, clinical characteristics, and in-hospital outcomes of patients hospitalized with pulmonary embolism in Spain and to identify factors associated with in-hospital mortality (IHM). (2) Methods: We included all patients who were hospitalized for pulmonary embolism between 2001 and 2018. Data were collected from the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database. (3) Results: We identified 241,821 hospitalizations for pulmonary embolism during the study period. The incidence of pulmonary embolism increased from 20.49 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the period 2001–2002 to 35.9 cases in the period 2017–2018 (p < 0.001). After controlling for possible confounders, there was a significant increase in the incidence over the study period (adjusted incidence rate ratio 1.53, 95% Confidence Interval I 1.51–1.56). The median length of hospital stay was 11 days in the period 2001–2002, decreasing to seven days in the period 2017–2018 (p < 0.001). For the total time period, the crude IHM rate was 9.51%. After multivariable adjustment, IHM decreased significantly over time. The IHMwas significantly higher in women, in patients suffering from more comorbidities, and in those with a massive pulmonary embolism. Aims: To analyze changes in the prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients hospitalized due to asthma; to compare hospital outcomes in asthma patients with and without AF, assessing sex differences; to identify variables associated with the presence of AF; and to analyze the factors associated with in-hospital mortality (IHM) among asthma patients with AF. Methods: We used data from the Registry of Specialized Care Activity-Basic Minimum Data Set to select all patients aged ≥40 years with an asthma diagnosis in Spain, from 2016 to 2021. We stratified the study population according to the presence of AF and sex. Results: We identified 65,233 hospitalizations that met the inclusion criteria (14.85 % with AF). The prevalence of AF significantly increased over time, with the male sex being a protective factor for its presentation. IHM were significantly higher in patients with AF. Older age, being a woman, congestive heart failure, renal disease, obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, and hyperthyroidism were associated with the presence of AF. Advanced age and the presence of cancer and COVID-19 were factors associated with a higher IHM, as well as admission to an intensive care unit and the use of invasive mechanical ventilation. There were no association of sex with the IHM.Conclusions: AF is highly prevalent among subjects hospitalized due to asthma, with this prevalence having increased significantly in Spain over time. The presence of AF in patients with asthma was associated significantly with a higher LOHS and IHM. Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is strongly related to the in‑hospital and short‑term prognosis in patients with cardiovascular diseases needing surgical or invasive interventions. How T2DM might influence the treatment of aortic stenosis (AS) has not been completely elucidated for surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) or transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The aims of this study were: (1) to describe the use of aortic valve replacement procedures (TAVI and SAVR) among hospitalized patients with and without T2DM; and (2) to identify fac‑tors associated with in hospital mortality (IHM) among patients undergoing these procedures.Methods: We analyzed data from the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015 for patients aged≥ 40 years. We selected patients whose medical procedures included TAVI (ICD‑9‑CM codes 35.05, 35.06) and SAVR (ICD‑9‑CM codes 35.21, 35.22). We stratified each cohort by diabetes status: T2DM (ICD‑9‑CM codes 250.x0, 250.x2) and no diabetes. We retrieved data about specific comorbidities, risk factors, proce‑dures, and specific in‑hospital postoperative complications. Hospital outcome variables included IHM, and length of hospital stay (LOHS).Results: We identified a total of 2141 and 16,013 patients who underwent TAVI (n= 715; 33.39% with T2DM) and SAVR (n= 4057; 25.33% with T2DM). In patients who underwent TAVI we found no differences in IHM (3.64% in T2DM vs. 5.12% in non‑T2DM, p= 0.603). In the cohort of SAVR, mean LOHS was significantly lower in patients with T2DM than in non‑diabetic patients (13.77 vs. 17.27 days). IHM was lower in patients with T2DM (4.36% vs. 6.31%, p < 0.01). Background: To examine the incidence, characteristics and outcomes of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and nonventilator hospital-acquired pneumonia (NV-HAP) in patients with or without COPD; compare in-hospital outcomes; and identify factors associated with in-hospital mortality (IHM) for pneumonia. Methods: We carried out a retrospective observational study using the hospital discharge records from 2016-17 of the Spanish National Health System. Propensity score matching was used for data analysis. Results: We found 245,905 patients (≥40 years) with pneumonia; we identified CAP in 228,139 patients (19.85% with COPD), VAP in 2,771 patients (8.55% with COPD) and NV-HAP in 14,995 patients (14.17% with COPD). The incidence for the three types of pneumonia was higher in COPD patients (CAP: incidence rate ratio (IRR) 2.23, 95% CI 2.21-2.26; VAP: IRR 1.25, 95% CI 1.08-1.42; and NV-HAP: IRR 1.55, 95% CI 1.48-1.63). The IHM for CAP was 10.35% in COPD patients and 12.91% in the controls (p<0.001). In patients with VAP and NV HAP, IHM was not significantly different between those with and without COPD (43.88% vs. 41.77%;p=0.643 and 29.21% vs. 30.57%;p=0.331, respectively). Factors associated with IHM for all types of pneumonia ana lyzed in COPD patients were older age and receiving dialysis. Conclusions: The incidence of hospitalizations for all types of pneumonia was significantly higher in COPD patients than in the non-COPD population. In contrast, IHM was significantly lower among COPD patients with CAP than among matched non-COPD patients. (1) Background: The relationship between type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and pulmonary embolism (PE) has not been well stablished so far. We aim to analyze incidence, clinical conditions and in-hospital mortality (IHM) according to the presence of T2DM among patients hospitalized for suffering from PE. The factors associated with IHM were identified. (2) Methods: Patients aged ≥40 years hospitalized for PE from 2016 to 2018 included in the Spanish National Health System Hospital Discharge Database were analyzed. Dependent variables included incidence, IHM and length of hospital stay. Independent variables were age, sex, diagnosed comorbidities, thrombolytic therapy and inferior vena cava filter placement. Poisson and logistic regression models were constructed for multivariable analysis. (3) Results: Of the 47,190 hospitalizations for PE recorded, 16.52% had T2DM. Adjusted incidence of PE was higher among T2DM women (IRR 1.83; 95% CI: 1.58-1.96) and men (IRR 1.22; 95% CI: 1.18-1.27) than among non-diabetic subjects. Crude IHM in T2DM patients with PE was similar in both sexes but higher than in non-diabetic patients. Among T2DM patients with PE, risk factors for IHM included older age, comorbidity, atrial fibrillation and massive PE. Obesity was associated with lower IHM. Suffering T2DM was a risk of IHM (OR 1.15; 95% CI 1.05-1.26) after PE. (4) Conclusions: The incidence of PE is higher in T2DM men and women than in non-diabetic patients. Background: Among patients presenting with pulmonary embolism (PE), those with diabetes are at increased risk to die than those without diabetes. The reasons have not been identified. We used the RIETE (Registro Informatizado Enfermedad Trombo Embólica) database to compare the mortality rate and the causes of death during anticoagulation in patients with PE according to the presence or absence of diabetes. Methods: A matched retrospective cohort study from consecutively enrolled patients in RIETE, from 179 hospitals in 24 countries. For each patient with diabetes we selected two patients with no diabetes matched by age, sex and year of diagnosis of the PE. Results: As of September 2017, there were 2010 PE patients with diabetes and two age-and-gender matched controls. Mean age was 74 ± 11 years, 46% were men. Patients with diabetes were more likely to have co-morbidities, to be using antiplatelets and to have more severe PE. During anticoagulation (median, 219 days), patients with diabetes had a higher mortality (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.45; 95% confidence intervals [CI]: 1.25-1.67) and a higher rate of arterial ischemic events (HR: 2.89; 95%CI: 1.71-4.94) than those without diabetes. On multivariable analysis, diabetes was not associated with an increased risk for death (HR: 1.26; 95%CI: 0.97-1.63). We also failed to find differences according to the use of antiplatelet drugs concomitantly. Conclusions: In our cohort of patients with PE, diabetes was not an independent predictor for death. (1) Background: Our aim was to determine changes in the prevalence of physical activity (PA) in adults with asthma between 2014 and 2020 in Spain, investigate sex differences and the effect of other variables on adherence to PA, and compare the prevalence of PA between individuals with and without asthma. (2) Methods: This study was a cross-sectional, population-based, matched, case–control study using European Health Interview Surveys for Spain (EHISS) for 2014 and 2020. (3) Results: We identified 1262 and 1103 patients with asthma in the 2014 and 2020 EHISS, respectively. The prevalence of PA remained stable (57.2% vs. 55.7%, respectively), while the percentage of persons who reported walking continuously for at least 2 days a week increased from 73.9% to 82.2% (p < 0.001). Male sex, younger age, better self-rated health, and lower body mass index (BMI) were significantly associated with greater PA. From 2014 to 2020, the number of walking days ≥2 increased by 64% (OR1.64 95%CI 1.34–2.00). Asthma was associated with less PA (OR0.87 95%CI 0.47–0.72) and a lower number of walking days ≥2 (OR0.84 95%0.72–0.97). (4) Conclusions: Walking frequency improved over time among people with asthma. Differences in PA were detected by age, sex, self-rated health status, and BMI.
