Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; hastanemizde istenen iç hastalıkları konsültasyonlarının retrospektif olarak incelenmesi ve konsültas-yon istemlerindeki eksikliklerin saptanmasıdır. Materyal ve Metot: 01.09.2017 – 31.10.2017 tarihleri arasında acil servis ve diğer yatan hasta kliniklerinden istenen iç hastalıkları konsültasyonları kayıtlar üzerinden retrospektif olarak incelendi. Hastaların demografik verileri ve konsültasyon istem metinleri kaydedildi. Dört soru ile konsültasyon metinleri yeterlilik açısından değerlendirildi ve puanlandı.Bulgular: 2 aylık sürede toplam 416 konsültasyon cevaplanmıştı. 172 acil servis, 244 diğer servislerdi. Yaş ortalaması acil servis için 62,7, diğer servisler için ise 61,8 idi. Nefroloji her iki grupta da en sık konsültasyon istenen iç hastalıkları yan dalı idi. Konsültasyonların %68 gibi büyük bir çoğunluğu ilk 1 saat içeris-inde sonuçlandırılmıştı. Hastaların %53,5’i için yatış kararı verild-iği görüldü. Her iki grupta da değerlendirme puanlarına bakıldığın-da konsültasyon istem metinlerinin yetersiz olduğu görüldü.Sonuç: Konsültasyon istem metinleri genel olarak yetersiz olup ilgili hekimleri yeterli olarak bilgilendirmemektedir. Danışılan hasta hakkında yeterli bilgi sahibi olmayan konsültan hekimin hasta hakkında doğru karar vermesi zorlaşmaktadır. Bu sebeple konsültasyon istem metinlerinin düzeltilmesi çok önemlidir., Objective: The aim of this study is; retrospectively examining the required internal medicine consultations in our hospital and deter-mining the deficiencies in the consultation requests.Materials and Meyhods: Between 01.09.2017 and 31.10.2017, the internal medicine consultations requested from emergency services and other inpatient clinics were retrospectively reviewed. Demographic data of the patients and the request for consultation were recorded. In four questions, the consultation texts were eva-luated and scored for proficiency.Results: A total of 416 consultations were answered within 2 months. 172 emergency services, 244 other services. The mean age was 62,7 for the emergency services and 61,8 for the other services. Nephrology was the most frequently consulted internal medicine in both groups. A large majority of 68% of the consulta-tions were concluded in the first 1 hour. 53.5% of the patients were admitted to hospital. When the evaluation scores were evalua-ted in both groups, it was seen that the request for consultation was insufficient.Conclusion: Consultation documents are generally inadequate and do not adequately inform physicians. It is difficult for the consul-tant who does not have enough information about the patient to make a correct decision about the patient. For this reason, it is very important to develop consultation request texts.
