Computational models are an essential tool for the design, characterization, and discovery of novel materials. Computationally hard tasks in materials science stretch the limits of existing high-performance supercomputing centers, consuming much of their resources for simulation, analysis, and data processing. Quantum computing, on the other hand, is an emerging technology with the potential to accelerate many of the computational tasks needed for materials science. In order to do that, the quantum technology must interact with conventional high-performance computing in several ways: approximate results validation, identification of hard problems, and synergies in quantum-centric supercomputing. In this paper, we provide a perspective on how quantum-centric supercomputing can help address critical computational problems in materials science, the challenges to face in order to solve representative use cases, and new suggested directions.

Thermal effects accompanying gas sorption on micro- and mesoporous materials provide unique insights into the type, course, and efficiency of sorption. In this study, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with different topologies and chemical structures were synthesized and investigated: HKUST-1, Ni-MOF-74, UiO-66, and MIL-140A. These MOFs were characterized structurally and sorptively with respect to selected greenhouse gases (GHGs). Sorption capacities for CO2 and CH4 were determined at several temperatures and measurement pressures, and the maximum sorption capacity was determined using the Langmuir-Freundlich model. Thermal effects accompanying adsorption were quantified through the isosteric heat of adsorption parameter. For each MOF, the values of isosteric heat of adsorption were higher for CO2 than for CH4. The values of this parameter was determined in the following order: HKUST-1 > Ni-MOF-74 > UiO-66 > MIL-140A. Energy homogeneity of the adsorbent surface was observed in nearly all cases, except for UiO-66 during CO2 adsorption. Changes in the determined isosteric heat of adsorption of CO2 with increasing sorption capacity were in the range of 5-15 kJ/mol, while for CH4 they ranged from 1.4 to 17 kJ/mol, respectively. The level of thermal selectivity of CO2 over CH4 was determined in the following order: UiO-66 (1.9) > Ni-MOF-64 (1.7) > MIL-140A (1.5) > HKUST-1 (1.1).

Summary: Background: Insulin resistance (IR) is an important risk factor for multiple chronic diseases, increasing mortality and reducing life expectancy. The associations between emerging surrogates for IR, triglyceride-glucose index (TyG) and TyG-related indicators, with all-cause mortality and life expectancy in middle-aged and older patients in primary care are unclear. Methods: This study originated from the Polish primary care cohort LIPIDOGRAM2015, including patients aged ≥45 years. Baseline fasting triglycerides and fasting glucose were used to derive TyG. Other TyG-related indicators included TyG-adjusted body mass index (TyG-BMI), TyG-adjusted waist circumference (TyG-WC), TyG-adjusted waist-to-hip, and TyG-adjusted waist-to-height. In this longitudinal analysis, we assessed associations between TyG-related indicators with total all-cause mortality, premature (age at death ≤75 years) all-cause mortality and years of life lost (YLL). Findings: We included 10,688 patients (mean age 61.8 ± 9.3 years; 63.5% female). Cumulative total and premature all-cause mortality were 7.2% and 4.6%, respectively, during 5.7 years (IQR 5.6–5.7) of follow-up. Lowest (Q1) and highest quartile (Q4) of TyG-BMI and TyG-WC were associated with total all-cause mortality (second quartile [Q2]: reference; TyG-BMI: Q1: aHR 1.33, 95% CI 1.07–1.65, Q4: aHR 1.28, 95% CI 1.03–1.58; TyG-WC: Q1: aHR 1.44, 95% CI 1.14–1.82, Q4: aHR 1.29, 95% CI 1.04–1.59), similar results for premature all-cause mortality. Within age 45–80 years, compared with Q2 and third quartile, YLL were 4.49 and 5.46 years for TyG-BMI Q1 and Q4, respectively, 3.24 and 5.31 years for TyG-WC Q1 and Q4, respectively. Interpretation: TyG-BMI and TyG-WC demonstrated a U-shaped association with total and premature all-cause mortality. Low and high levels of TyG-BMI and TyG-WC were associated with reduced life expectancy. Despite the relatively short follow-up period, significant associations were still observed, but longer follow-up studies are required to further explore these relationships. This review discusses the epidemiology, pathophysiology, prevention and treatment of acute mountain sickness (AMS). Key mechanisms including changes in blood-brain barrier permeability, activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and the role of diuresis in the development of AMS are analysed. The effectiveness of various preventive strategies, such as acclimatisation and pharmacotherapy (acetazolamide, dexamethasone, ibuprofen), as well as alternative approaches, including the use of natural remedies such as Rhodiola roses, coca leaves and Ginkgo biloba, are discussed. The paper emphasises the importance of correct diagnosis and prompt action in the treatment of AMS, which is crucial in preventing complications. Material and methods Data bases such as Pubmed and GoogleScholar were used for research with the key words: acute mountain illness (AMS), acetazolamid, dexametazone, altitude, prevention, acclimatisation. Conclusions Acute altitude sickness is a challenge in terms of understanding pathophyslogy and effective treatment methods. The primary methods of preventing AMS are properly managed acclimatisation and the use of acetazolamide. Other pharmacological and natural measures require further research.

In an era of an aging population with the rise of social media, both men and women are paying more and more attention to the healthy appearance of their skin and overall health. Collagen is an essential component of the structure of the skin.With age, the amount of collagen in the skin decreases, there is a loss of elasticity as a result,wrinkles form and the appearance of the skin deteriorates. On the market there are more and more preparations both in the form of creams and means for oral application.One of the most popular dietary supplements that affect the quality of the skin and with tested bioavailability is hydrolyzed collagen . One can find many studies showing the positive effects of collagen supplementation on improving the quality and alleviating the visible signs of skin aging. In this review paper, we aim to evaluate the current state of knowledge of the effectiveness of hydrolyzed collagen supplementation on skin quality status. In order to investigate the efficacy and effects of hydrolyzed collagen for the skin, we need both preclinical studies, availability assessments and controlled clinical trials on a wide range of patients. Overall, it can be concluded that as little as 12 weeks of hydrolyzed fish collagen supplementation improves the quality and appearance of skin in the aging population.Importantly, HC-containing formulations were found to be safe and well-tolerated. However, further large-scale randomized controlled studies taking into account factors such as excipients in the supplements, age range and general lifestyle of the subjects are needed to confirm these results.

Sleep is a key component of everyone's health. It plays an important role in the body's recovery, improvement of cognitive function, and overall well-being. This thesis explores various aspects of sleep, focusing on its physiology, functions, and role in daily life. The paper includes detailed analyses of the effects of sleep on memory, the effects of deprivation, and techniques to improve sleep quality, such as sleep duration and regularity, minimising alcohol and caffeine intake, and meditation practices. The link between sleep and physical activity is also proving to be extremely important. Regular activity affects sleep quality and mental health. Finally, sleep is the foundation of health and well-being. Despite the wealth of information we already have, the importance and role of sleep presented in the following article demonstrate that this area should invariably be the subject of further research to help us gain an even better understanding of, and therefore influence, the quality of our sleep.

Introduction Obesity is a complex, chronic disease that continues to be a significant global health challenge due to its prevalence and association with numerous comorbidities. Etiology of this disease includes different factors from genetic, environmental, and lifestyle fields, while effective management of obesity is still being studied. Aim of the study The aim of this comprehensive review is to examine arising innovations in the treatment of adult obesity. Deeper insight into the available database would help to provide better understanding of obesity and of its treatment. Materials and Methods To reach satisfying results the research was conducted on the articles referring to obesity treatment from the Pubmed databases. Articles from recent years were preferably utilized to keep the review up to date. Results Nowadays, pharmacotherapy can offer GLP-1 receptor agonists like liraglutide or semaglutide, and new drugs like tirzepatide that show great effectiveness. Additionally, bariatric surgery continues to offer great solution for severe obesity, combining restrictive and malabsorptive mechanisms for significant weight loss and metabolic benefits. The main procedures include gastric bypass with sleeve gastrectomy or duodenal switch. Personalized treatment, referring to different obesity phenotypes, has shown improvement in the therapeutic outcomes. Some new therapies are studied including triple agonists (retatrutide), non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonists, and drugs reaching other receptors. All of them are promising for the effective obesity treatment in the future. Summary This review underlines the need for multidisciplinary and personal approach in the treatment of obesity and the need to share the knowledge about it to address the growing obesity epidemic effectively. Recognizing obesity as a chronic and complex disease is essential to improve patient’s understanding of their condition as well as to reach effective treatment outcomes.

Introduction and objective: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Early detection is crucial for better outcomes. Traditional diagnostic methods, such as imaging and biopsies, often fail to detect HCC in early stages. Liquid biopsy, based on circulating free DNA (cfDNA) analysis, offers a promising, non-invasive approach, allowing frequent testing, addressing tumor heterogeneity, and reducing costs. Review methods: This article's databases were accessed through the WHO website, PubMed, and Google Scholar. A brief description of the state of knowledge: Early detection of HCC significantly improves survival. Biomarkers from cfDNA, including DNA fragment patterns, methylation markers (e.g., USP44), 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), and digital PCR analysis, have shown potential in early-stage detection. Advanced cfDNA fragmentomics identifies tumor-specific DNA fragmentation patterns. Techniques like DELFI demonstrate high sensitivity (94%) and specificity (98%). Machine learning enhances cfDNA analysis by integrating multiple markers, improving accuracy in distinguishing cancerous from precancerous states. Combining methylation analysis with machine learning further addresses challenges of tumor heterogeneity. Summary: Studies highlight the high sensitivity and specificity of cfDNA biomarkers for HCC diagnosis, especially in high-risk groups like individuals with cirrhosis. Integrating technologies like 5hmC analysis and machine learning enables early diagnosis and treatment monitoring. These advancements represent a transformative step in cancer diagnostics, offering effective tools to improve patient outcomes.

Introduction and purpose Prostate cancer is the most common malignant tumor in men in Poland. In 2021, the standardized incidence rate was 48.2 cases per 100,000 people. It is diagnosed mainly in men over 60 years of age. The choice of treatment method depends on the stage of the disease, general condition and age of the patient. Treatment mainly includes surgery, radiotherapy and hormone therapy. In the case of surgical procedures, it is possible to perform prostate cancer surgery using the Da Vinci single-port surgical robot. The aim of this literature review is to describe the procedure of radical prostatectomy using the da Vinci single-port robot and to assess the effectiveness of radical prostatectomy using the da Vinci single-port robot compared to open and laparoscopic prostatectomy. Material and methods This review of studies was based on articles obtained from the scientific database PubMed. Key search terms included prostate cancer; robot-assisted radical prostatectomy; robotic surgery; da Vinci Surgical System; da Vinci single-port; laparoscopic prostatectomy; open prostatectomy. Conclusions Currently, the da Vinci single-port surgical system is playing an increasingly important role in radical prostatectomy centers. It is increasingly replacing open radical prostatectomies due to its higher treatment efficacy and fewer complications. However, no significant differences have been demonstrated compared to classical laparoscopic surgery. Further studies are also necessary to assess functional and oncological results.

This article presents a review of research studies related to the theme of barriers to inclusive education in primary schools. The basic data set for our study consisted of 27 expert articles selected from the Web of Science and Scopus databases according to clearly defined criteria. The result of the analysis provided findings that appear across all the texts. The research questions of this review study are what the barriers to inclusion in primary schools are, what we know about them, and whether there are ways to reduce them. We focused in more detail on the themes of discrepancies between legislation and practice, teaching barriers in the classroom, transdisciplinarity and interprofessionalism, and methodological specifics. In the analysis and discussion, we delineate the essential points of the individual articles by searching for similarities and differences among the texts.

Background: Respiratory allergies mostly allergic rhinitis and asthma represent an important and increasing public health problem and one of the priorities for the European health systems. There is an increasing public concern regarding the persistence and severity of allergic diseases and many difficulties of health systems in providing prompt specialized medical assistance. Our study aims to highlight the main results of the Alliance 4Life project focused on the evaluation of the burden and management of respiratory allergies in primary care from Romania and comparative health-related data from four Central and Eastern European countries.

Introduction: After injury, survivors of moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (msTBI) depend on informal family caregivers. Upwards of 77 % of family caregivers experience poor outcomes, such as adverse life changes, poor health-related quality of life, and increased depressive symptoms. Caregivers frequently report minimal support or training to prepare them for their new role. The majority of previously developed caregiver and caregiver/survivor dyad interventions after msTBI focus on providing information to either survivors only, or to long-term caregivers, rather than to the new caregiver. This manuscript describes the protocol of an ongoing randomized control trial, Caregiver Wellness after TBI (CG-Well), developed to provide education, support, and skill-building to caregivers of adults with msTBI, beginning when the survivor is early in the clinical course. Methods: Within two weeks of admission to the ICU, participants are randomized to CG-Well online modules (intervention group, n = 50 dyads) or information, support, and referral (ISR) e-bulletins that exist in the public domain (control group, n = 50 dyads) over the first six months after their family member's msTBI. Both groups receive regular phone calls. The primary outcome is intervention satisfaction at six months. Results: Enrollment began in March 2022 and is projected to complete October 2024. We have enrolled approximately 70 % of participants at this time. Primary analysis completion is anticipated April 2025. Discussion: This RCT is designed to evaluate caregiver satisfaction by addressing the need for tailored supportive care for caregivers of msTBI beginning during the ICU admission. Abstract When daytime tropical convection develops away from mesoscale disturbances, it typically transitions gradually from dry to shallow to deep convection on hourly timescales. The transition is commonly associated with the formation of larger horizontal boundary‐layer structures and an increasing level of cloud organization aloft. This study demonstrates that a spectral analysis of the resolved high‐resolution sub‐cloud flow features allows for a robust identification of dominant length scales and the quantification of their growth rates during the transition. Furthermore, it is shown that temperature, moisture, and horizontal winds develop multiple length scales with the largest ones growing up to several kilometers in magnitude. However, the vertical velocity behaves in a distinct manner developing significantly smaller values, comparable over land and ocean. This indicates stronger inherent limits of vertical velocity to self‐organize by size.

Purpose – Financial stability has become a focal point for central banks since the global financial crisis. However, the optimal mix between monetary and financial stability policies remains unclear. In this study, the “soft” approach to such policy mix was tested – how often monetary policy (in inflation reports) analyses financial stability issues. This paper aims to discuss the aforementioned objective. Design/methodology/approach – A total of 648 inflation reports published by 11 central banks from post-communist countries in 1998-2019 were reviewed using a text-mining method. Findings – Results show that financial stability topics (mainly cyclical aspects of systemic risk) on average account for only 2%of inflation reports’ content. Although this share has grown somewhat since the global financial crisis (in CZ, HU and PL), it still remains at a low level. Thus, not enough evidence was found on the use of a “soft” policy mix in post-communist countries. Practical implications – Given the strong interactions between price and financial stability, this paper emphasizes the need to increase the attention of monetary policymakers to financial stability issues. Originality/value – The study combines two research areas, i.e. monetary policy and modern text mining techniques on a sample of post-communist countries, something which to the best of the authors’ knowledge has not been sufficiently explored in the literature before.

In recent years, an increasing popularity of consuming Amanita muscaria has been observed in Poland, aimed at reducing various medical symptoms. However, there is a lack of data regarding the impact of variations in the content of toxic elements, such as cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb), in Amanita muscaria collected during late summer and mid-fall. The aim of this study was to determine the concentrations of Pb and Cd in Amanita muscaria samples collected at different times of the year, compare the concentrations of these elements in samples with and without cap skin, and compare the obtained values to permissible limits in dietary supplements. A total of 44 Amanita muscaria samples were collected during three different harvesting periods (August, September, and October 2023) from Puszcza Biała, located approximately 80 km from Warsaw. The mushrooms were subjected to mineralization using concentrated nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, followed by the determination of Pb and Cd concentrations using an atomic absorption spectrometer. Significant statistical differences were found in the Pb concentrations of samples collected in three different seasons (η2 = 0.67, p < 0.001), with the concentration increasing progressively, reaching its highest value in October. Similarly, the Cd concentration also increased in the later collections, although the effect of time was weaker (η2 = 0.13, p = 0.03). No significant differences were observed in Pb and Cd concentrations between samples with and without cap skin. The average Cd concentrations in mushrooms were significantly higher than the permissible levels in dietary supplements; they were four times higher in August (p < 0.001), six times higher in September (p < 0.001), and nine times higher in October (p < 0.001). The Pb concentration in the October samples was close to the permissible limit but did not exceed it in a statistically significant manner (p = 0.85). Due to the high Cd concentrations and potentially hazardous levels of Pb, the consumption of Amanita muscaria carries a significant risk of toxicity, which may lead to serious health hazards, particularly in the context of prolonged exposure.

According to projections by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the global population will reach 9 billion by 2050. This raises concerns about the ability to feed such a population. In view of the above, it is necessary to search for alternative food sources. Edible insects are rich in complete protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and micronutrients. Despite this, entomophagy is not common in Europe. In 2021, the European Union approved Acheta domesticus, Tenebrio molitor, Locusta migratoria, and Alphitobius diaperinus for consumption. However, their consumption may also be associated with certain hazards, e.g., food allergies. The purpose of this review is to present existing knowledge, discuss the possible dangers of consuming insects, and identify areas for further research. Studies in Asian populations indicate that edible insects may be responsible for 4.2–19.4% of food allergies and 18% of fatal food-induced anaphylaxis. There are also increasing reports from Europe of food allergies to edible insects. A thorough understanding of allergens, their properties, and the mechanisms of food allergies associated with edible insects’ consumption is essential for ensuring consumers’ safety. In the future, it would be worthwhile to investigate the effects of heat treatment on the allergenicity of insect proteins.

The present work covers novel herbicidal lead structures that contain a 2,3-dihydro[1,3]thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridine scaffold as structural key feature carrying a substituted phenyl side chain. These new compounds show good acyl-ACP thioesterase inhibition in line with strong herbicidal activity against commercially important weeds in broadacre crops, e.g., wheat and corn. The desired substituted 2,3-dihydro[1,3]thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridines were prepared via an optimized BH3-mediated reduction involving tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane as a strong Lewis acid. Remarkably, greenhouse trials showed that some of the target compounds outlined herein display promising control of grass weed species in preemergence application, combined with a dose response window that enables partial selectivity in certain crops.

Global Navigation Satellite System radio occultation (GNSS-RO) and microwave radiometry (MWR) are two of the most impactful spaceborne remote sensing techniques for numerical weather prediction (NWP). These two techniques provide complementary information about atmospheric temperature and water vapor structure. GNSS-RO provides high vertical resolution measurements with cloud penetration capability, but the temperature and moisture are coupled in the GNSS-RO retrieval process and their separation requires the use of a priori information or auxiliary observations. On the other hand, the MWR measures brightness temperature (Tb) in numerous frequency bands related to the temperature and water vapor structure but is limited by poor vertical resolution (> 2 km) and precipitation. In this study, we combine these two technologies in an optimal estimation approach, 1D variation method (1DVar), to improve the characterization of the complex thermodynamic structures in the lower troposphere. This study employs both simulated and operational observations. GNSS-RO bending angle and MWR Tb observations are used as inputs to the joint retrieval, where bending can be modeled by an Abel integral and Tb can be modeled by a radiative transfer model (RTM) that takes into account atmospheric absorption, as well as surface reflection and emission. By incorporating the forward operators into the 1DVar method, the strength of both techniques can be combined to bridge individual weaknesses. Applying 1DVar to the data simulated from large eddy simulation (LES) is shown to reduce GNSS-RO temperature and water vapor retrieval biases at the lower troposphere while simultaneously capturing the fine-scale variability that MWR cannot resolve. A sensitivity analysis is also conducted to quantify the impact of the a priori information and error covariance used in different retrieval scenarios. The applicability of 1DVar joint retrieval to the actual GNSS-RO and MWR observations is also demonstrated through combining collocated COSMIC-2 and Suomi-NPP (National Polar-orbiting Partnership) measurements.

Background and Aims: PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome (PHTS) confers a high risk of specific cancers and is the most common genetic cause of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Gastrointestinal (GI) phenotypes in PHTS are poorly characterized in children. Thus, we aimed to characterize the GI and hepatic manifestations in children with PHTS and to investigate genotype-phenotype associations. Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of prospectively accrued children with PHTS at 2 tertiary-care centers. Wilcoxon rank-sum, Chi-squared, and Fisher’s exact tests and Firth’s logistic regression were utilized to explore associations between variables. Results: This series included 80 children with disease-causing PTEN variants. Common GI manifestations included constipation in 41 (51%), feeding issues in 31 (39%), and polyps in 22 (28%) children. The polyps were of mixed histologic types. Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders were observed in 5 (6%) children. Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, and protein-losing enteropathy were observed once each. Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders were observed exclusively in patients without ASD (P = .052). Nonsense PTEN variants were enriched in those with polyps (P = .029). Missense PTEN variants (OR 2.9, P = .034) and upper GI polyps (OR 4.4, P = .018) were associated with increased odds of constipation. Conclusion: Constipation and feeding issues are common in children with PHTS. Polyps are more prevalent in children with PHTS than previously described and associated with nonsense PTEN variants. Children without ASD represent a distinct patient subset with a predisposition to eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders and possibly upper GI polyps. Endoscopic evaluation should continue to be performed in symptomatic children with PHTS, with consideration of closer follow-up in those without ASD.

Immunohistochemical (IHC) studies of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples are a gold standard in oncology for tumor characterization, and the identification of prognostic and predictive markers. However, despite the abundance of archived FFPE samples, their research use is limited due to the labor-intensive nature of IHC on large cohorts. This study aimed to create a high-throughput workflow using modern technologies to facilitate IHC biomarker studies on large patient groups. Semiautomatic constructed tissue microarrays (TMAs) were created for two tumor patient cohorts and IHC stained for seven antibodies (ABs). AB expression in the tumor and surrounding stroma was quantified using the AI-supported image analysis software QuPath. The data were correlated with clinicopathological information using an R-script, all results were automatically compiled into formatted reports. By minimizing labor time to 7.7%—compared to whole-slide studies—the established workflow significantly reduced human and material resource consumption. It successfully correlated AB expression with overall patient survival and additional clinicopathological data, providing publication-ready figures and tables. The AI-assisted high-throughput TMA workflow, validated on two patient cohorts, streamlines modern histopathological research by offering cost and time efficiency compared to traditional whole-slide studies. It maintains research quality and preserves patient tissue while significantly reducing material and human resources, making it ideal for high-throughput research centers and collaborations.

Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing and other antimicrobial resistant (AR) Escherichia coli threaten human and animal health worldwide. This study examined risk factors for domestic animal colonization with ceftriaxone-resistant (CR) and ESBL-producing E. coli in semirural parishes east of Quito, Ecuador, where small-scale food animal production is common. Survey data regarding household characteristics, animal care, and antimicrobial use were collected from 304 households over three sampling cycles, and 1195 environmental animal fecal samples were assessed for E. coli presence and antimicrobial susceptibility. Multivariable regression analyses were used to assess potential risk factors for CR and ESBL-producing E. coli carriage. Overall, CR and ESBL-producing E. coli were detected in 56% and 10% of all fecal samples, respectively. The odds of CR E. coli carriage were greater among dogs at households that lived within a 5 km radius of more than 5 commercial food animal facilities (OR 1.72, 95% CI 1.15-2.58) and lower among dogs living at households that used antimicrobials for their animal(s) based on veterinary/pharmacy recommendation (OR 0.18, 95% CI 0.04-0.96). Increased odds of canine ESBL-producing E. coli carriage were associated with recent antimicrobial use in any household animal (OR 2.69, 95% CI 1.02-7.10) and purchase of antimicrobials from pet food stores (OR 6.83, 95% CI 1.32-35.35). Food animals at households that owned more than 3 species (OR 0.64, 95% CI 0.42-0.97), that used antimicrobials for growth promotion (OR 0.41, 95% CI 0.19-0.89), and that obtained antimicrobials from pet food stores (OR 0.47, 95% CI 0.25-0.89) had decreased odds of CR E. coli carriage, while food animals at households with more than 5 people (OR 2.22, 95% CI 1.23-3.99) and located within 1 km of a commercial food animal facility (OR 2.57, 95% CI 1.08-6.12) had increased odds of ESBL-producing E. coli carriage. Together, these results highlight the complexity of antimicrobial resistance among domestic animals in this setting.
